Grand Palladium Kantenah: Love this place!!!!

Our third time here and it's even better than before!!! The food has improved greatly this year, not that it was ever bad, but it's even better than it was. I can't say enough about the kind and friendly staff, they are amazing!! Love the dive shop through Aqua Excursions. Took a 4 day course with them and then went back for more. Rudy, Chris, and Poncho were absolutely incredible instructors, I'd recommend them to anyone!!!! Already planning to return in the spring!!!

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Great Resort!

Very clean, excellent service (probably the best we have had in all of Mexico and we have visited Mexico over 15 times in the past 14 years). My only complaint would be regarding the entertainment. They constantly had an annoying slow music in the background no matter where you went by the pool. Not enough entertainment by the pool area. We like it busy and always hang out by the main pool for the entertainment and to listen to Spanish music but to our surprise there was very minimal entertainme [... read more]nt and no Spanish music :( . At night, the shows were good but there were not enough seats for people to sit so made it really difficult to enjoy. Specially since we have a 7 year old and she was too short to be able to watch and we had to pick her up to see anything. We finally just gave up watching the shows. Kids club was amazing. The girls were so good with the kids and had amazing programs for kids to participate in. All in all we had a really good time.

Las Palmas by the Sea: This Hotel has a lot to offer

This Hotel has an adult only pool they were quick at enforcing the rule and quickly asked children to leave. There is good live entertainment every night, comfortable beds, at least mine was and great staff. The food was not the best I've had at a resort but it certainly wasn't the worst. The Hotel attracts a lot of partiers who stay up until the wee hours and cause a lot of noise which is magnified by the hall way/structure of the building. I was told the 4th floor was quiet and did not experie [... read more]nce and door slamming, door knocking, children screaming, parents yelling at their children well into the night. A Gentleman's Club is next to this Hotel, it is open all night and the loud booming base tone/noises until the wee hours of the morning were enough to drive a person out of any peace you could hope to find (once the children stopped screaming) I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Disappointed

Pros: beds and pillows good, enough loungers as hotel not busy. Location good half way to mega or San Jose center. Cons: a/c ok, hotel old, no breeze in lobby or walk ways to rooms. Breakfast good can't go wrong with eggs and toast, not a good variety, no option of champagne and orange juice, juices powered not fresh except one verde juice. Lunch: repeat every day no changes for buffet, the menu at beach restaurant limited but good if you want to eat the same thing every day. Supper was not [... read more] good, the standard very poor. We are out every meal for supper off resort. No good alcohol being used. Fridges in room not stocked and you have to pay for drinks. Music repeated by pool gets boring. Entertainment non existent for the most part. Closed restaurant when not enough people. Asked people to leave when closing. The staff did not help each other and stayed in there sections. We had to get our own coffee many times. Some servers pleasant others only there for pay check. No team work noticed. The pool man very good at his job. This hotel did not live up to the reviews we read and will not ever stay at a holiday inn again. We will never stay at this one for sure.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Wow wow wow! Jaw dropping experience!

We just returned from this resort two days ago. This was the best resort I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to Cancun, Dominican and Cuba. Pros: Beach, lots of chairs, the workers always found chairs from somewhere no matter what time you arrived. Shout out to Carlos for always finding chairs for people and Carlos our beach waiter for always getting us drinks. You would finish a drink and Carlos would already have another to put down for you. Amazing service and always had a kind word for y [... read more]ou, was never rushed. A lot of rocks in the water but we did find one spot to go into which was sand all the way out. It was to the right of the flag at the main bridge to the beach. Room, I can’t say enough, we had a butler in our 1 bedroom master suite who made our dinner reservations. We had a fridge fully re-stocked daily with pop, water, beer, juice, milk, cereal bars, chips, m&ms and Oreos. Soaker tub inside and a jacuzzi for 2 outside on our balcony. King size bed just like home in our bedroom. Don’t worry about bringing anything but your clothes, they have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, manicure set, suntan lotion 50spf, bug repellent, hand cream, body lotion, and the list goes on. Plenty of clean towels always. The room and resort was always spotless. Restaurants/food, 6 star gourmet food! You name it you can get it here, and it’s a-m-a-z-I-n-g. Everything is. I had steak better than The Keg. Our favourite was lapalapa. The buffet we only ate at for breakfast, there are so many restaurants here some you need a reservation others no. Bars, lots of places to get a drink, lots of nightclubs but we weren’t really interested in this but did check out a few. One thing missing is a bar near the front with a lobby especially when you arrive or waiting to leave at checkout. Service, amazing service they could teach other resorts how to treat guests. You feel like every worker you meet is genuinely happy to greet you. They always ask if you have any allergies before ordering, get your drinks for you at the beach and around the pools and so much more. This trip was just my husband and I to celebrate my 50th birthday. They had a bottle of wine and cheese plate the day before my birthday and on my birthday a large balloon character, bottle of champagne on ice and birthday cake for me! Cons: check in and check out was very disorganized and needs to be corrected as it’s the first and last impression one has of the resort. We landed at 730pm but it was 11:15 before we were checked in. The bus ride was only 45 minutes from the airport but it took a long time for the bus to leave the airport and drop off people at two other resorts before us and 2 families were dropped off at Paradisus la esmarelda. We arrived at the front of the resort but we needed to go to family concerige check in and were told to wait at the front a golf cart would take us next, but no they took the 2 other families before us so we walked to checkin. A very long day made even longer unnecessarily by this disorganization at checkin. Of course all the restaurants were closed by 11:00 so our only option was room service which was fine but it took till 1:30 am to get the food! Check out was the worst ever, we called for them to get our luggage and left to checkout. We had requested hospitality suite use at the end of the day as we were at the resort till 6pm. When I went to use the suite at 4pm I was told whoever made a mistake and booked us for the next day! Fortunately we did get to use it but for a shorter time period. Our luggage was missing from the front so we had to track it down and my husband believes they never bothered to get it from the room which is pretty frustrating when you are ready to leave the resort. Next year we plan to return to this resort with our 3 daughters. We did not do any excursions, instead we rented a car which was very easy to do and get around, we drove down into Tulum to the ruins, Grand Cenote and stopped at Akumal Beach to swim with turtles. I will try and book at Paradisus other locations in future. We were very happy with our travel agents recommendation! If you book here you will not be disappointed!

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

This resort had everything you would want. Beautiful long white sand beaches. Lots of chairs on the beach and around the pools. Great variety of food and plenty of it. Resort kept very clean, we where very please with the services.

Sun Palace Hotel: Fabulous Resort and staff

The hotel was five star especially because of the staff. We were treated so well and especially want to acknowledge Edher, who served us poolside. He was so professional and looked after our every need. The room was very nice with a lovely view of the beach. We loved the food in the breakfast restaurant. Our two favourites for dinner were the steak restaurant and the Thai restaurant. The night time entertainment was very good as well. We especially loved the magic show and the Michael Jackso [... read more]n shows. The size of the resort was perfect for us and we loved the adults only feature. A perfect place to spend our 35th Anniversary.

Iberostar Selection Cancun: Great vacation!

Great vacation! It was very nice trip, very clean hotel enviroment and friendly stuff who providing warm service. Especially they do house keeping more than three times per day. Also there swimming pool are great. I would like to come back again!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great Resort !

Can't complain about this resort. Believe it is rated a 5 star and it deserves it. The grounds, pools, restaurants, shuttles and staff are grade A. We've been to Mexico around 18 times over 40 years and would rate this resort at the top of our list. Would and will go back to it next year.

Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: Excellent Resort

We totally enjoyed this resort. Close to take bus to old romantic area of Puerto Vallarta. . As always with a pool a lot of loud thumping music during the day. We stayed in the North Tower away from the pool. Food very good. A lot of restaurant choices and bonus no reservations. Spotless resort, wonderful views. Will return!

Las Palmas by the Sea: Love Las Palmas !

We have gone to PV for years and usually stay at the same hotel in the romantic zone as we like to be in town and love that hotel. This year we could not get 2 weeks there so we stayed at Las Palmas and we loved it .We had a room on the second floor on the adult pool side which is a little quieter and had a nice enough ocean view for us . Great staff , a good beach , nice pool , always something to eat and drink and only about $10 Canadian to town but there are also shops and places to poke aro [... read more]und in just down the street from the hotel . All in all Las Palmas has won a little piece of my heart . Thanks for a great trip !!

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Resort was okay

The one thing I can say is most of the staff we encountered were wonderful. The rooms I found weren’t quite what you see on the website but clean enough, could use a little updating. Food was decent but if you want pancakes and bacon you have to order from the waiter not always available at buffet not a big deal. Lots of beach service and around the pool, tip well and they bring you anything. Not a huge resort so not a lot of choices one bar and one restaurant unless you book the al a carte. W [... read more]e found a lot of people left as you are so close to the melacon to eat out. But in my mind when you pay so much for your trip why pay to eat somewhere else all the time. Next and I wasn’t impressed by this when you check out they cut your band off and you no longer can use their services, we had two and half hours before we left for the airport. They wanted 100 pesos an hour per person if you wanted to use the facilities. Okay 100 pesos is not that much but to me it is the principal we paid good money for our trip and we tipped everyone constantly. I was not impressed I have never found this at any other resort I have stayed at. I like you are close to the melacon but I would not choose to go back. The royal decameron Is our go to and I really missed it this trip. Adult pool always had kids in it Beach was rocky, beach and pools chairs not great.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Resort

It's not on the beach and it's about 1.5 hour drive from the airport, but otherwise this is a great resort. Sian Kaan is fairly small but you have access to the other 3 Bahia Principe resorts on the property. The tram to the beach takes less than 10 minutes and the trams are always running so you never have to wait long. Our room was very nice and the overall service and meals were excellent. Would certainly recommend Sian Kaan.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great resort and the most fabulous holiday

Excellent services...Room was impeccable, food was fantastic and always fresh. Beach facilities was pare great. The employees at this resort are what have made all my stays so enjoyable. The staff is very friendly and helpful and always interested to hear about your day and greet you with a smile! I also enjoy the food at this resort and it has a great variety and even the buffet is phenomenal. The beach was beautiful. We would to thank our two Beach Bulters Enrique and Carlos for there service with a smile. Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Very good Resort

My wife and I thouroughly enjoyed our stay. We found resort a little dated, but it was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Any issues our large party had were quickly addressed and rectified. We are already looking forward to planning our next trip to PVR and staying at the Royal Decameron

Hotel Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort: 2nd time around

We came back for a second visit with our 3 boys and again had a blast! We found the new ventus addition to the el cid very nice and the new buffet area excellent. We were impressed last year and even more so this year seeing little things being maintained and upgraded. Marina El Cid is a fantastic family resort and we're looking forward to coming back next year again!

Selection Riviera Cancun: Great resort

Sensatori Azual is a wonderful small resort with less than 500 rooms. Hotel was more than expected. Apart from the cleaniest of rooms and all facilities (ie washrooms around pool and restaurants this resort is fantastic. All restaurants except Mexican were gourmet inspired. The Azual group need to improve on the menu and facility at the Mexican restaurant. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great resort

We enjoyed spending a week here. The grounds were well taken care off. The staff was friendly and the rooms were also well taken care. Could have done a bit better job on cleaning the beach area every morning

Las Brisas Huatulco: Great spot

Good food good a la carts. Lots of stairs and walking but shuttles are always close by. There are three beaches so a good variety. On the weekend there are lots of locals who come so things get very busy.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Great Resort

The Hotel Staff and amenities are second to none. Three amazing restaurants French Japanese and Italian. I would like to recommend improvements to the Steakhouse and the Buffet. The hotel shows could also see some improvements.
