El Cozumeleno Beach: beautiful clean resort

My experience at el cozumelano was amazing. The staff was polite, kind,helpful,attentive and always pleasant. The hotel grounds was always sparkling clean. The rooms was cleaned everyday and bed made beautiful. There was always a staff member to call on if you needed something. The food was amazing and there was always tons. If something you wanted was not there and you asked staff for it they would find it for you.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great resort, highly recommend

Everything is great about this resort. Easy to get around, always lots of pool and beach chairs and no waits for food. Did not care for the reservation method for the La Carte but works for them. No beach or pool services however lots of bars just steps away. Staff were all great

Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: amazing resort

we can't say enough about our two week stay at the fiesta americana . it's a beautiful resort and very well kept . the resterants were all very nice and the food was excellent .our room was very well kepted . the pool and beach areas were very spacious and well kepted too. we will definitly be returning to the fiesta americana. thank you for a wonderful holiday .

Playa Los Arcos: Amazing hotel

Perfect location. The Beach fun so close and staff to set you up. Yes the hotel is aging they seem to be working all the time. Our room was clean, beds were comfortable, really comfortable and clean. Fluffy bath towels. Fantastic maid. We got everything we asked for. As I said need to spruce the rooms up a bit ..food was good ..drinks were awsome..nice pools. Could of used 2 working elevators!! The amazing ..amazing thing is the staff!!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: A real gem!

Ocean Coral and Turquesa was beyond our expectations.Really liked this resort; cozy and easy walking,no trolleys! All buildings right next to ocean,beautiful beach and water deep enough to swim in, no sand bags like other resorts.Wished we had a few more days! Ten days would be great.Staff and food excellent.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Best Bahia Resort I've visited

I've been to several Bahia resorts around the Carribean and this one was the best thus far. The food was great, the grounds were clean, the rooms were well kept and clean, and the service was top notch.

Las Palmas by the Sea: I like this resort,have been here before, very good value, just never had the negatives before!!!

Everything about this resort was exactly as expected with the exception of arrival, booking in and the room we had the first night. Checking in became a huge problem, despite having three requisitions for the transat flight and the room the desk said they were not correct??? Don't know why or what was wrong, My name was right there in their computer for the appropriate days, they said we would have to wait till they completed the crowd check in and then they would verify my reservation, I sort o [... read more]f lost it, I had payed for this trip more than two months ago. We finally got our room, dark dingy in the corner, security lock did not work, door did not fit properly, toilette seat was broken, bathroom was not clean and there were no towels and it turned out there also was no hot water. After more aggravation, we were move the next day but we did not receive keys to the room till mid afternoon so we had no place to go and they moved our luggage so it was also unavailable to us. Fortunately things improved for the time remaining. .Interestingly not once did I hear any apology or even concern for the problems they had caused!!!!!

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Excellence is EXCELLENT!

Our trip was amazing- very plush experience. Loved the location. The rooms were great, food was exceptional. We were entertained with great music and a "funny money" black jack night. Service and staff were great .....what else could you ask for? Would return to this resort hands down one of the best!

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Nice resort

very nice hotel . at night too loud the music too many drunk people. in the pool big problem for the children and adult.........everyone smoke like a chimney. food is good ,staff friendly. As all the resort they will invite you for a presentation of time share.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing!

The Sian Ka'an is a fantastic resort! Not a single complaint... staff are incredibly friendly and always available to help. The food is great... not only in the al-a-cart restaurants... but the buffet and snack bar as well! A great deal of variety on the buffet with plenty of options. Staying at the Sian Ka'an gives you access to all 4 of the resorts in this compound... you can book additional al-a-carts at the other resorts if that is your preference. They all look great, but the main bene [... read more]fit of the Sian Ka'an is that it is an adult only resort! There is a private area designated for Sian Ka'an guests at the beach, and chairs/umbrellas seemed plentiful. The trolley system is quick and reliable, and easily transports you between each resort, the beach or the casino/shopping centre. I would only point out 2 items that are not necessarily negative... just worth noting so you are aware: 1 - snorkeling along the entire beach is not great... the water is clear and you will see the occasional fish... but not much coral to speak of.... if you really want to see some of the great coral and sea life... you will need to take an excursion. 2 - the Sian Ka'an is located in the jungle... it is beautiful and the foliage is thick and lush... but it results in mostly shade... trying to find sunny spots around any of the 3 pools meant having to move your chair to other areas around the pool throughout the day. Overall still a fantastic resort and we are already planning a return visit next year!

El Cid Resort Castilla: Good Resort with Fatal Flaw

$210 CA. to connect three devices to the internet for a week! that is what we were met with when we checked in. This can be avoided if you accept free internet as a gift when you attend the Vacation Club Sales pitch on your first morning. This is not a high pressure sales routine though, so you need to decide what your time and internet is worth to you. All are accessible to all inclusive patrons. The pools on the beach side have constant music and activity during the day. There are water slides, water falls, a jump into the water from fake rocks, a kiddie pool and a swim-up bar. The hotel hosts a Teen Club and a Kids Club. There is only one bar in the lobby of the hotel for evening drinks, no space outside along the water to enjoy a romantic drink for two while watching the ocean, unless you go the restaurant there and pay as it is not included in the all inclusive. There are bars, restaurants and discos close to the resort. The al a carte restaurants are very good and during our stay, last week in November, were very accessible. All that is required is a quick phone call from your room, no lining up each morning to obtain a ticket is required. The buffet offerings were average (or less) but we enjoyed the occasional al a carte breakfast. Over all the resort won us over during the week as we began to forget the exorbitant internet fee and enjoy the enhanced facilities on the quiet side. The staff were all excellent and very accommodating.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Awesome Resort

The resort in general is in immaculate condition, from the rooms, the always clean and manicured grounds and surroundings to the very entertaining shows and other resort services. The golf course is championship caliber. But most of all it is the service of the people that works on the frontline that made me fall in love with the place. They make you feel important and like royalty .

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: BB has exceeded my expectations

Having only 10 days of my vacation left after a very tumultuous November I wanted some piece of mind to relax alone on a decent and affordable Mayan Riviera resort. It was pretty much the last minute choice through my fave Tripcentral gate. The flight by Air Canada Rouge was smooth, transfer included and short, check in and bell service professional. Adv [... read more]ice, just sit down and relax at Black&White bar, pick up your frequent train to the beach area to get acquainted to the resort and the next day you'll walk the rout in 5 min with close eyes. When they finish renovation of a small pull with a bar close to the buildings remote from the beach area (it's almost done) the resort will gain another half of the star. The beach is nice, the bay is a bit shallow, but I've seen much more shallow on PEI :) To cut it up, just wanted to say Thank You Very Much to Martin, who was taking care of my room service, Irma a concierge at Bonampak who has changed my a la Carte reservation in a flip like a magic to SeeFood and have always had a smile I won't forget, and of course Willy, in Di Rossi restaurant - try his grilled mid-rare salmon in cranberry souse prep in red wine. Delicious! Mexican a la carte was awesome too, I forgot the name of the guy, probably too many Don Julios :)... Don't miss Grand Parade on Thursdays, it's like Rio in Mexico! Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Loved everything

I did not expect this place to be as nice ad it is. Loved everything about it. Buildings design, rooms ,pools,the buffet, the food all awesome. Beach is great, people are friendly. Definitely would like to return.

Paradisus Cancun: Very relaxing, spa-like experience

Room service is great. Mattresses were too sift and air conditioner was blowing on us at night but size of rooms is good, and it was cleaned and checked twice a day. We were greeted with very nice bottle of tequila and fruit. Another day we got a nice bottle of champagne as a surprise. Overall environment is very relaxing . Service in restaurants is great, staff is amazing everywhere and very attentive to all your needs, and you are always greeted as a friend-feels like management really cares about guest experience. This comfort feeling doesnt leave you since you get off the van and till you leave. Food could be better quality but you get huge variety and can always find good for every taste. Amazing view of the beach , right at the door step. One of the longest beach area amongst hotels in the same areas. Lots of cabanas. Very windy with waves but water is turquoise and clean .Water in pools was very cold especially in kids pool. Pools are all deep. Overall very relaxing and good experience. We stayed in one of the best Paradisus Reserve in Punta Cana but guest service experience there wasn't even close to Paradisus Cancun..

Selection Riviera Cancun: Great Resort but beware of all the up selling

Loved the following - the staff and the service they provided - the resort is awesome, very well maintained, very clean, they do put a huge effort in making sure everything is perfect - the food is awesome everywhere. My favorite restaurant was Tapas - great beach Very disappointed with - the fact that a lot of activities are not included that I would expect for the price we paid. If we had paid $1000 ok then yes, maybe charge me for certain events but since this is not a cheap I expect [... read more]ed everything to be included. They had suppers on the beach (not the candlelight one, a group one were it was $150 american. Had a coffee shop where you had to pay for coffee and food on the resort. The house wine was very cheap and they kept giving us wine list to pay for a decent wine. Unfortunately even though it was a great resort because of all the nickle and diming I would not recommend it.

Riu Flamingos: Great time!

The resort is beautiful, clean and quite big. The rooms and bathrooms were well kept, and I have very high, specific, standards (some would say princess) when it comes to this. We did ask for new sheets as there were random hairs (assumed to be from the house keepers) but they came up and changed them very quickly. Staff was great although many don't speak english apart from the lobby staff. I was a bit worried seeing theft complaints but honestly, why would you do/expect things that you wouldn' [... read more]t normally at home. We simply left the DND sign up the entire trip and requested things needed while we were present. NO issues. Drinks and food were great too, buffet has the better variety IMO. There is an Asian restaurant behind the Mexican one that many seemed to not notice. Beach has darker waters but many told me it's due to the season and obviously this has nothing to do with the hotel itself. ATV tour is highly recommended. Take a 10 minute taxi ride to the nearest city or I found out later you can WALK along the beach to the same market.There is an AMAZINGG restaurant that you MUST try "Seafood the Fat Boy" I wish I found it sooner. Street level is hotel after hotel so for those who like to explore you would need to take a cab out further or walk along the beach. If looking to party in the city, we took a 40 min cab to a club called Mandala. Beautiful club and fun, safe, vibe. Overall amazing trip, left too soon and I would definitely return!

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Could be so much more :(

The "deluxe" rooms are really just 30 yr old timeshare units across the street from the resort or facing a back alley. We refused our first room which was across the street from the resort. Our second room had bare wires hanging out the ceiling, did not have a balcony, and the only windows looked opened to the walkway along all the rooms. Our 3rd room was a new room that over-looked the ocean. This was a very nice room. There is a lack of staff and training in the restaurants and mgmt needs  [... read more]to stick to the open/close schedules for these restaurants. Most or the restaurants do not take reservations, so you need to line up when it opens at night and hope that you can get a seating before 9:00pm. Also, we did have a reservation for the one restaurant that accepts them but found it to be closed for the night when we arrived. On the plus side, the grounds and new rooms are beautiful, and the pools and bars are great. The beach is nice, but the water is usually quite rough.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Great resort

A great resort in all areas! The food was great with lots of selection and lots of choices to eat. Very clean and well kept up resort. Rooms are spacious and maid service during the day and turn down service was impeccable. Lots of bars everywhere you walked with great selection of drinks. Bar tenders were great and most remembered what you drank and had it ready before you reached the bar. The only down side is the resort is trying to go smokeless and have limited areas to smoke but really only [... read more] enforced in lobby area. It was the talk of a lot of guest there and I do my research before I book a vacation and there was no mention of this including westjet vacations. If I’d known I would of booked another resort. Hallways are loud because of tile floors but this is common and if you are a light sleeper as i am bring ear plugs!!! Other then that a truly great resort. Will I return no but only because of there smoking policy

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Fantastic Vacation

We recently celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at the Now Jade and we had a fabulous time. The resort is beautiful, we had a junior suite overlooking the pool and beach, and the restaurants were great. Can’t say enough about the people looking after us, the service was incredible . Special shoutout to - Moises, the pool concierge, who made sure we had everything we needed at the pool. The poolside staff who catered to us every day, especially Ivan & José, who made sure we had refre [... read more]shments at all times. Ceci, pool entertainment, who stopped by to chat. Enrique at Castaways who took care of us at lunch and Leoncio & Armando at the Carnival restaurant who took care of us at breakfast. Francisco at the lobby bar. Abraham who came by every dinner to make sure everything was ok and Felix, the Manager. The highlights of our week included a romantic dinner in the garden with the 3 Tenors was fabulous, watching the Buffalo Bills game on the huge screen in the outdoor lobby, the haunted house for Halloween was incredible and our dinner in the VIP room at CinCin.
