Isla Mujeres Palace: Exactly what the doctor ordered!

We are a couple in our 40’s who were looking for a place to relax, be pampered, and enjoy beautiful scenery. It was perfect...small and quiet, with service that was attentive and extraordinarily friendly. Perhaps not the “grandiose luxury” of a mega resort, but it was gorgeous and exactly what we were looking for. I recommend to anyone who wants to relax and unwind under the sun, while being treated like royalty!

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Royalton Cancun

We decided on the Royalton Cancun Suites because of the exceptional treatment we received at the Royalton Blue Waters Jamaica Diamond Club earlier in the year when we treated my family , kids and grandkids . The Royalton Cancun did not disappoint . We had a group of 10 , all Diamond Club and all had a great time. If there's a criticism , it would be the Cancun Royalton charges for the beach cabanas which from an upgraded perspective is totally unacceptable. At no time in Jamaica did we pay for [... read more] a beach cabana! The butler service in Cancun was very good and extremely helpful. The food was terrific and the variety would please most vacationers. They still have some communications glitches they need to work out, however, all in all a wonderful birthday vacation!

Royalton CHIC Cancun: This Resort needs to iron out some serious kinks

The hotel is very nice. When we first arrived we saw our butler & then never seen him after that. No communication whatsoever. The food was just OK at all the restaurants except for the buffets. They were the best. At all the restaurants we ordered but most of the time never got all that we ordered. Lack of communication between our order taker, the waiter & the cook. Some of the bartenders need to learn how to make good drinks. Hopefully that particular resort will eventually get better because [... read more] the grounds & beach are stunning. The waiters outside work very hard & they had good entertainment at night both outside & in the hotel.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Excellent resort

Awesome everything from service to food. Would definitely recommend. Would definitely return. The grounds were well kept the entertainment was excellent. We ate at most of the restaurants and enjoyed.

Grand Oasis Cancun: GREAT VACATION!

After booking we were a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews from recent guests. We upgraded to the Pyramid, so it would include many of the items that were not included (based on the complaints) ie: many bars, drinks, restaurants, private locations, etc. I'd highly recommend it! The resort is very large and has many activities. So many, we weren't able to take them all in. Everything was laid out very well and maintained above average. We had a couple of little problem [... read more]s, but the front desk was very helpful and we assume that the complaints we read about on the reviews were due to poor opening conversations in how they wanted things addressed. The bar staff was great/fun, the servers were awesome as well. Drinks were great! Food was decent, but some restaurants better than others. I'm not a fan of returning to the same location more than once, because there is so much to see in the world, but this was one of the first resorts that I would actually consider returning too! Definitely a great bang for the buck!

Hard Rock Hotel Cancun: 100% Service awesome atmosphere!!!

Service- The best we have had yet! Principe, Roger, Lorenzo were fantastic and treated us like royalty and had our cabana and everything we needed each day without asking! Just all around impressed with the staff on this resort! The spa massage and hair was also fantastic and well priced very well done with staff! Wide variety of food too for an all inclusive resort! Entertainment and atmosphere- This place is also 100% for entertainment at the pool they have all sorts of fun activities like trivia and drinking competitions which I did not experience personally but it is loud enough you can hear the great variety of awesome music on the beach as well! If you like to party the daytime entertainment is at the pool and if you like to relax and be quiet the beach is perfect and if you have kids and family it is great for that too! We dont drink but we love the fun environment!! The nighttime entertainment is average it isnt cirque de soleil they provide what they can so take it or leave it it wasnt why we went there it is just an extra if you enjoy that stuff anyway Food- This was not the highlight however with the excellent service that was provided it made up for the lack of taste in the food.. that being said the food was very americanized so it was always edible unlike some of the places we have visited in the past the fries and burgers, pizza, pasta etc... was just like eating at a regular canadian or american chain. This isnt a place to to if you expect fine dining experiences you will not get that here you get average food and fun in the sun all day with amazing service great drinks and we drank all virgin drinks and we didnt have to specify anything they were the most creative with making refreshing drinks all day for us! Well done Beach- Not much to say here..... soft white sand and crystal clear blue green bathtub warm water with fun waves to play in! Life cant get any better or beautiful this is our favorite beach!! Overall I give this hotel a 5 star because the price is awesome for the quality of service you get and the views from the rooms on the pool side are all ocean and pool views which was perfect for us! The few things we werent crazy about were easily looked past because we consider the price we paid and to us the room views combined with the service and average food that was most certainly edible by all means and the daytime energetic and upbeat environment was exactly what we were looking for and they executed! Thank you hard rock hotel we will be back!

Haven Riviera Cancun: Near perfection

The whole properly is immaculate and beautiful from the furnishings throughout to the landscaping. The staff are attentive and the serenity club will have you feeling like queens and kings. All meals were very good to amazingly good. The quiet pool plays relaxing music while the more active pool will have you dancing in the water. Last day here for us and already planning our return.

Occidental Tucancun: Beautiful resort

We really enjoyed our trip. We upgraded to the premium ocean front suite which was amazing! Beautiful beach, great pools, especially the relax pool. The massage at the spa was fantastic. What made the entire trip was the excellent staff, everyone that worked at the resort always greeted you with a smile.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Some nice features but needs improvement

The hotel was fairly new and was very modern. Our room was clean and spacious. The roof top pools and cabanas were spectacular. The Diamond club pool area was nice and of course the beach was beautiful.The food quality was inconsistent as was the service. Some days great and other days poor. They need to improve their processes and hopefully that would improve their communication to their guests.Did not feel we received the Diamond Club service. Beautiful new hotel and grounds, amazing service and even able to call for a bottle of champagne to be delivered to the room with the all inclusive package. Your bracelet also functions as your room key

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Great resort

The resort was amazing but the service needs some work. When you book Diamond Club you expect great service, You shouldn't have to ask concierge 3 or 4 times for something. This hotel is very good but not up to the standards of other Royalton Resorts.

TRS Coral: Not a 5 star hotel

Let me start by saying this is a beautiful resort and that’s were it stops. We arrive late Saturday night and Sunday Morning we went book all of our dinner reservations with a butler and CHIC. We were offered 6 or 9:30 for dinner reservations and were told CHIC was booked. We were also told all the restaurants were booked for the next 3 weeks. So we took what we could get for the restaurants and the 1 st Butler didn’t even book CHIC. On Monday we had to see a new butler trying to get Chi [... read more]c tickets and we were told the same thing. The other couple that went with us went to see his butler and was basically told if we want a normal time for dinner and CHIC tickets we would have to pay him. So we did. The spa was included and after being hounded everyday by the people selling massages we were told we couldn’t get in unless we purchased a massage. All events were cancelled at trs because of weather so we were directed to the sister resort at the sports bar. There were kids running around the bar at 10-11 pm so we left. Also we were told at the sports bar that if we wanted premium alcohol we would have to pay for it. There is no buffet or coffee shop on site so again you have to travel to the sister hotel and deal with children. There were children on the adult side of the beach and no one asked them to leave so we left. We also had to pay the butler to have our fridge restocked. We had no towels in our room and took 4 calls and a trip to the front desk to finally get them. When you go on vacation it should be relaxing and shouldn’t be this hard to get things that were included in our package. This trip was not worth the money and more stressful trying to book and alway having to grease the butlers.

Haven Riviera Cancun: Relaxation at its Best!!

From the minute you enter the lobby of this hotel, you can feel the luxury! Our check in was the best experience I have have ever had (and we are seasoned travelers!) The hotel is relatively new, so the decor, and the fixtures are outstanding. The lobby area houses an amazing Specialty Coffee Shop, a well stocked Gift Shop, Reception, Private area for Serenity guests. A lounge for everyone, and a private lounge with food and drinks for serenity guests. 2 great pools, one a bit more upbeat  [... read more]than the other. 4 Dinner Restaurants, and 1 breakfast buffet. Lunch was Buffet or a pool grill, or an a la carte option at the circular pool. The food was excellent - not one complaint. Drinks are almost all brand name liquor, and they are cracking the tops off as they make drinks (no watering down happening!). The entire grounds were incredibly clean, the spa was also a great experience (but expensive). The tubs on the balcony were a great feature - perfect wind down. So many little extra's from turn down service to sweets in the evening appearing in your room. Beds were super comfy too, and the bathrooms were the best I have ever had in the Caribbean. No lack of any kind of staff, and all so friendly - 5 stars for sure!! Have no comment on the night show or bar, but Limes which is a bar by the restaurants was superb!! Only bad thing I could say, is the water front is terrible,...so much sea grass. No one swam at all in the ocean, however the beach front and chairs and palapa's are great, as long as you don't want to swim in the ocean, but there is not much they could do about it, fighting a loosing battle. Only reason I gave the 4 star rating for that.

Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa: Not realy what we expected ...

Negative: The rooms are very noisy, during the night and early in the morning. The room smells musty. No internet- You have to pay $ 53 /day for the internet. In the morning for breakfast not too many choices; it is the same every day. Not too many activities on the resort for younger people. Positive: Beautiful beach, smooth sand, clean... and the bars are close to the beach and pool. Very teasty food in the Restaurants, however, the same menu. Good service

Royalton CHIC Cancun: not 5-star

The public spaces in this resort, eg. the pool area, the beach area, all of the sitting areas and the restaurants, were always crowded. Service was inattentive, perhaps because it was so crowded. This resort is small and well-located and our room was very nice with a spectacular view of the ocean. The beach and ocean were beautiful. Despite being a new resort, some of the infrastructure was already in disrepair. The public washrooms were useless. The water flow to the toilets were so inadequate, [... read more] even toilet paper does not flush properly. There were two pools, one dedicated to "diamond club" and the other to the rest of the plebs. It was woefully small. It is not likely I will will be returning to this resort.

Moon Palace Cancun: Overall Good Experience Aside From...

Hotel staff, excellent, food... 8/10, Suit comfort: 6/10. After the short but taxing travel from Toronto to Cancun with our 1.5 year old, we were greeted pleasantly during our checkin. Unfortunately we had to wait 40 minutes outside our suit because our bracelet door locks didnt work. Turned out that the door somehow shut itself and the safety chain flipped into its slot?!.. After 40 minutes the door was finally opened. Once we did get into out suit, my side of the king bed felt like it dropped [... read more] into the floor below (exaggerated of course) but the springs were clearly worn out. We're not the type that like to complain, but having my 1.5 in a soiled diaper, family hangry, and the rain made the perfect storm. We asked if we can order room service from our bell man after we made it in, he said of course, download the app and or turn to our smart tv app. After he left we immediately looked into this and unfortunately NEITHER of them worked, so we patiently waited for dinner service. Lucky we had milk in a thermos for the little guy and some snacks in our backpacks. The rainbow/silver lining during all of this was after they investigated the situation, they offered my wife a spa treatment to melt some of her frustration away :) Happy wife, happy life we all say. We had arrived for a wedding, which was beautiful under the weather conditions we had. Would have been nice to have the childrens play/ water slide area open, but it wasn't. This was our little guys first 'sun' vacation experience, although we feel he had fun, but his experience could have been 10x more enjoyable we felt with further exciting memories & captured moments. We've been to two other Riu resorts, @ Dominican Republic & Jamaica, both were over the top phenomenal experiences. But Cancun Moon Palace Sunrise definitely fell below our expectations being a 5star restore. The last domino's to tip over were the batches of seaweed and diluted caribbean sea with sediment which no one stepped into. (As in, NO one was on the beach at all) Over all, disappointment would be an understatement for our first experience as a little family. Our lack of research on the part of the beach/ seaweed we take ownership of, but it would have been appreciated if Palace Resorts offered day pass or travel options to their sister resorts where enclosed or clear beaches were available. Cheers to safe travels to all, hope our experience will shed some highlights and checkpoints to tick off before you finalize your booking.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great all around

I absolutely loved the view from my room. No complaints about the staff either. Nothing is ever perfect but the great aspects vastly outweighs the minor hiccups encountered. Clean beautiful room, friendly staff and well maintained very beautiful resort with a great layout. Would visit again.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: A lovely week

This was our first time to Cancun. We are a couple in our 50s, and comfort, good food and great service are high on our list. The Crown Paradise has all that plus a great beach! We loved our view; every room in the hotel has an ocean view. What a difference it made to our mornings, to be able to sit in bed with coffee and a book, and to have that incredible view to enjoy! One distinctive service was that you could order coffee and breakfast to be delivered to your room, for a small fee of [... read more] about $5. We got hooked on that! But there was always coffee in the room as well. We also loved the adult pool, with its sun beds and hot tubs. Excellent service again. Something to keep in mind, though, is that this is very much a family resort. There are lots of activities for kids, and the evening show is earlier than most so the kids can attend. We would have liked some music in the evenings that wasn’t just singers singing to a karaoke track; it’s just not that interesting. I miss the days when it would be a guitarist and a singer, or a small band. We really liked the French restaurant; had amazing service, great food, and tried some Mexican wines, wonderful! It also had a more sophisticated setting, and again, that spectacular view. The beach was gorgeous. We are beach people, and love to walk forever and play in the waves. The sand was perfect, the waves were a little on the wild side but there had been some storms. It was a lot of fun but some people didn’t realize how powerful they can be; two men got caught out in the waves and had to be rescued by the lifeguards. Kudos to those lifeguards; they got out there and brought them back to safety. All in all, we’d go back if we were travelling with family. It was definitely worth every penny.

Gorgeous grounds and great food! Great concept with the pool spread all over. Bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb Just ok entertainment at night but that’s pretty normal. Price wasn’t cheap but value was ok. Would go again.

Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa: Amazing people and resort

Very well kept grounds and amenities. Great beach access and all the great quality food you can think of, including filet mignon. Staff is amazingly courteous and pleasant. Provide great and secure excursion.
