Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Really nice place but bring Kleenex

A hotel room with no Kleenex? Good thing the OXXO was right there so I could buy some. In what universe does a person not need Kleenex? Having said that, the place was lovely. We started out in one of the new supersaver rooms. New is an overstatement. They are cobbled together with pieces from other hotels and probably recycled stuff. For instance, the mirrors were antique and the doors didn’t fit the openings. Kudos for environmentalism. Reuse and recycle! Our next room was also in buildin [... read more]g 2 but the old part. It was lovely. The beach was amazing and all the pools are great. The loungers could have been more padded. I’m also puzzled by the lack of poolside servers and the fact that you couldn’t eat at the pool, but you sure could smoke at the pool, right under the sign that said no smoking. Food was buffet. Say no more.

Samba Vallarta: Beautiful spot!

Hotel location in a quiet part of Nuevo. No large shopping centres and a lot more locals which I liked a lot. Not commercialized here. Bucarius just a 30 min walk away. Very clean beach, no seaweed, and lots to do. Ride horses, rent seadoo’s, parasail, kite surf...so much. Vallarta adventuresjust doen the road. All the employees were excellent. Rooms older and dated but the area and scenery made up for it. There was night time entertainment but I found it to be just ok. They are missing a bar/nightclub for adults. The disco was usually empty or had kids. If you like the small resort feel this is great.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Grand Palladium

Great areas to relax was nice seeing the animals daily and the food was very good. Also was cool seeing the whales offshore from the pool and beach. The resort is a great size which makes easy to find your way around

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Royal Decameron Complex

The resort is a beautiful place to plan a holiday and plenty of amenities to keep you entertained. Our only complaint would be that a number of patrons that are there are very loud and rude. Every year it’s becoming more of an issue.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great Resort, Good Food, Not Accessible

A group of friends and I recently spent a week at the Grand Palladium Vallarta. The resort was on the smaller side, but great for relaxing days at the pool and ocean. The food was good but not very much variety from day to day. I personally do not have accessibility issues, but there isn't a single elevator at the resort, and stairs to get pretty much anywhere. I often saw parents carrying strollers up the stairs, and occasionally motorized wheelchairs left behind at the bottom; not a good look. [... read more] The Resort should have better disclosure during booking time to ensure accessibility issues are properly disclosed.

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Excellent resort.

The hotel, rooms and grounds are kept spotless. All three restaurants we went to were very good. Plenty of swimming pools with hot tubs. The beach area some what restrictive with a coarse sand and no opportunity for good walks. However easy to access lounge chairs around pools. Bus service into Puerto Vallarta for 10 pesos taking about 30 minutes. Staff friendly and service top class.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great Resort

Great hotel. Service was amazing. Staff took care of everything. Great spot for children. The kids club was great and resort was clean and well run. Family selection is well worth the upgrade. Zoo was super cool

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Awesome Again!

We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Hyatt ziva in PVR and were not disappointed. Julia Tollis of Trip Central set this us for me way back in September and did an amazing job, thank you Julia!

Riu Flamingos: Riu Jalisco

The hotel was amazing except our room smelled awful we would of had to wait 3 days for another and decided we got use to it and they put a lot of disinfectant. The grounds amazing enough chairs for everyone, the beach clean and again enough chairs. The food was often cold and not enough food without spices for people with bad stomachs that was the only complaint if they can get food for everyone it would be paradise. I was disappointed that they had no mangos but the papaya was great.

Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: ok resort

resort was ok definately not a 4 diamond food was terrible i got food poisoning was sick for 3 days still not over it the hotelwanted me to pay for doctor and meds everything including pop watered down generally the staff was excellent including servers always short towels and have to go looking for the maid would not go back again who ever does the ratings should be replaced

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Wonderful vacation

The hotel was located on one of the most beautiful properties I have ever been to. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make our vacation the most memorable one we ever had. The beaches were clean and free of seaweed which made swimming very enjoyable. Drinks were first class and plentiful. The food was delicious and professionally prepared by well train chefs. Me and my wife will be definitely planning a future vacation at this resort for sure.

Riu Flamingos: Great hotel with some minor issues

This hotel is great from food, cleanliness, staff, service and little extras. Didnt like the two seperate beds together to make one but not a deal breaker. Apparently it's not as nice as other RIU's but my husband and I had a great time. Everyone works hard everyday to keep the place clean and keep the beach area and grounds free from litter its nice to the environment is a priority . Not too worried about it but it does happen Always wise to lock up important things in the room. We never used the room safe but locked our bags. If your a great traveller and have an appreciation for difference of foods and are open minded youll have a great time Alot of people complain of the stupidist things and have to realise their not in their home country and foods, beliefs ,customs WILL BE DIFFERENT and that's okay because after all its what makes travel unique.

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Nice resort but disappointed about food quality

Fast check in and check out Welcoming staff Comfortable room, comfortable beds Nice shower, nice bath Beautiful beach but not enough palapas A LOT of people selling you all kinds of things on the beach. Actually by the end of the week, I felt the whole Walmart came by me: hats,sunglasses,bottle openers, beach dresses, bowls, towels, carpets, stuffed animals, necklaces, rings, bags, popcorns, mangos...they come often but respect you and do not bug you if you do not show any interest in  [... read more]their products. If so, you can easily reduce the price asked by half ! Nice pools but either too warm (good for children) or too cold (the pool is always empty !) Very disappointed about food diversity and quality at the World buffet Other restaurants had acceptable choices in their menus, quality wise very ordinary, service mediocre We were at Dreams during the last Super Bowl. They made extra care to organized a wonderful evening outside by the beach. They will try to offer you a 50 minutes free massage if you just attend a 20 minutes presentation on their Dreams membership...then tell you at the last moment that it is actually 90 minutes to get the free massage. The elevators were often down during our stay...and not quite sure they were safe to use ! Adult only jacuzzi...always full of childrens and probably full of pee ! They do not let you borrow 2 boogie boards at the same time. They say 1 per room only...not cool. Plus the boogie board are pretty wrecked. Make sure to check them before using them in order for the resort not to charge you something if they accuse you to have broked their board when you take them back after maximum an hour. PRIVILEGES GUEST Extra 200$ per guest for 1 week vacation 6-7 and 8 th floor Concierge at your service, friendly, helpfull Excellent coffee Self serve Bar during the day Appetizer, fruits, desserts during the day, hot breakfast...surprisely excellent. Awesome some ocean view Extra large room Choice of pillows...I found it by reading a pamphlet...not mentionned at my arrival at the Resort Access to 1 hour hydrotherapy spa ...you need to ask for it...because they do not explain it at your arrival that you have access to this service...I found it on a Dreams booklet I found doing and extensive search on the web (not their website)...and not at the resort ! My travel agent did not even know ! Jacuzzi on the balcony...do not let this seduce you...jacuzzi has probably been used only twice a year...dirty, badly positioned so when you are seating...you are actually looking inside your room and not at the beach. Included in all the rooms and not exclusive to Privileged Section

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: not bad

Hotel is older but clean. Pool area is ok but hard to find shade as there are not enough umbrellas. Food was ok in the buffets but the ala cart restaurants were not very good. Hard to get face cloths and extra water. Wine was not very good but palatable. Room safe was an extra charge almost 70 dollars Canadian for 2 weeks and it was keyed so you have to carry the key with you . Beach towels were a pain only 1 each and needed a card to get 1 also if you lost you towel or your card you were charge [... read more]d for it .The staff were all really friendly. The beach area was nice but again hard to find shade as not enough umbrellas. The nice thing about this resort is you can walk off , take the buss or a cab and explore the area in relative safety.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Amazingly friendly resort

The hotel was keep very clean and things fixed when needed.The grounds were beautiful.Theres a private beach that you can get bused to that is very quite and relaxing.The hotel is very old but keeped in good running order.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Good times!!

Great time at Las Palmas. We enjoyed the property and the friendly staff, especially the pool bar tenders. The beach is good and location handy to town. Entertainment nightly and a'la cart restaurants made our stay enjoyable, we will return next year for sure!!

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Would definitely go back...

Facility and grounds were very well kept, nice rooms, clean, friendly staff, good food. Pools were clean and water was warm. New hospital directly across the street. Beach..water a little rough each day....not a big deal for us though Rooms....shower doors leaked....not a big deal either...just place a towel on the floor by the door. Close to the airport...20 min drive.

Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: Restful stay

It was a friendly restful place. Nice room and great view. Food was good but not great. Very good entertainment and nicely organized with out door buffets with some of the entertainment. Felt a bit closed off as cannot go for any long walks in the area on beach or nearby.
