Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: great resort
This was a great resort. Our room was located in the Sanctuary side building 34. Very close to the adult pool and the adult beach. Our butler was Dani(Danielle). She was awesome.Would send her a whatsapp message and she would reply promptly. In the room was a card to fill out when you wanted your room cleaned with 3 different time frames. The ladies were good and would also made animals from either a blanket or towels on your bed. We ate at the buffet 2 times a day on the memories side. You do not [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: fantastic resort
we had a great time resort is beautiful, lots of loungers at pool and beach available, lots of great food choices and drinks, everything is very clean and maintained beautifully. It is a quiet resort which we love. The only complaint we really have is the bed mattress wasn’t very comfortable, it was to hard.
Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Amazing Resort
Best experience in this hotel, beach, staff, exelent food as well, best beach , big complain on Sunwing Flight, always delay, broken languages, no one is carrie responsibility of delay both ways, will never go with Sunwing Flight again and highly Recommend everyone don't take Sunwing Company for flight anywhere, Horible Company, . Cuba best vacation. We will go back next year same Hotel but never using Sunwing again.
Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Nice resort
The resort had an amazing layout, the people were fantastic. Food was good, beach was absolutely amazing. I was disappointed in the housekeeping- the mini fridge did not get stocked up- we had the same shower towels for the full week - was not given the normal amenities like hand soap
Gran Muthu Imperial: It was good
This hotel was good, but not amazing. The pools were really nice, food was actually pretty good, but just very limited options at the buffet. Snack bar had the best food on the entire resort. Entertainment puts on good shows, however the resort was dead, so kinda hard to keep the vibes up when nobody is around. Beach was beautiful. Definitely worth taking the $5 cab to Playa Pillar for the day. Now for the things I didn’t love. All the bathrooms around the resort ran out of toilet paper daily, [... read more]
Iberostar Coral Holguin: Third visit to Iberostar Coral Holquin
As a solo traveler this resort is a home away from home. The resort is beautiful, clean, comfortable and important to me, safe and welcoming. The staff are kind, caring and welcome you as family, you are family. There are fun events to attend, great excursions and activities at the pool. Speaking of the pool...it is the best, add in Carlos and there is nothing better. The butler staff would put the finest in the world to shame. I will go back every chance I get!!!!!
Valentin Cayo Cruz: Disappointing Resort
April 9th - 16th. 2025 - Not what was expected. (Reviews praised this resort as the second best on the island) Yes, the beach is beautiful but the property gets a failing grade as it is too spread out and needs some updating. Staff were pleasant but not attentive. The room was nice but smelt 'musty'. Toilet only had water to flush during the day and wouldn't flush in the evenings. Public rest rooms seemed to be on revolving shut down and there were no washrooms within 250 meters of the beach. F [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Our home away from home!
This five star resort continues to live up to our expectations and the people (Cuban staff) are second to none in ensuring the clients have an enjoyable and fun filled experience during their stay. The “reservation restaurants “ are excellent and the food very nicely presented to the clients. There were very few shortages of food selections in the buffet with white onions lacking for my western omelette each morning prepared by Analiset, and on two occasions she brought some from her own home [... read more]
Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Good and Bad
We loved the location, loved the view, thought it was well laid out. we liked the pools and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food quality seemed ok, not as good as some other Cuban vacations i have been on, but since i have heard from other who were staying at other locations our food was poor. Keeping food safe was not the focus on this location. Some foods that should have been kept warm were not, some that should have been cold were not. My son daughter in law and myself [... read more]

Playa Vista Azul: Beautiful Views
Everything is on point at this resort! No shortages whatsoever! Entertainment team are incredibly talented. Love the lobby bar with the best views and drinks. Shout out to the beach bar staff, so friendly and great food
Hotel Bella Costa: I had a great week long stay here
The only thing I was very disappointed with at this resort was the bathrooms. The rooms had decent washroom facilities but around pool, bars, and lobby they were terrible. No locks on doors, no toilet seats, constantly out of toilet paper and paper towels to dry hands, hand blowers rarely worked and hand soap missing. Very unhygienic. Resort could use some renovations to make it safe for guests with mobility issues. Also could use a painting on the outside.
Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Great resort
Stayed at the Grand memories sanctuary April 6-13,2025. The resort is excellent. Staff extremely friendly. Food was pretty good for Cuba. No shortage. Other than bread for a few days but no big deal. Had an omelette every morning for breakfast. Entertainment in main lobby every evening was second to none. Very talented musicians. You can have quite beach or pool. Or you can have entertainment at either one. Plenty of spots to get food and drinks. Beach is nice and relatively flat at this resort. [... read more]
Melia Internacional: Best Resort in Varadero
My family and I had a great time at this resort. The grounds and facilities were well maintained and always clean. The staff were helpful and kind. The beach was breath taking!!! We will return again.
Barcelo Solymar: Family Trip
We had an excellent trip The hotel is a little dated The villas were very helpful when you have most of your family with you very spacious while we are there, they were working on the hotel, which was good to see trying to make things up-to-date the people were amazing they made you feel very welcome we had no issues with the food. beach was beautiful. All in all the hotel was comfortable I would definitely go back.
Valentin Cayo Cruz: This hotel needs work
We stayed at Valentin Cayo Cruz for 5 days, and that was long enough. My biggest complaint is the extremely slow service and inattentive staff. For instance, when sitting down at the buffet for breakfast, there were times we weren't even served water or coffee (it was horrible anyway.) We had to go to the lobby for coffee after breakfast each day, and one of the five days they couldn't even serve it because they had absolutely no running water (even the toilets wouldn't flush.) We experienced an [... read more]
Barcelo Solymar: Barcelo solymar
Would NOT recommend this hotel. Ran out of towels. And toilet paper. It’s old and needs renovation. Ran out of rum and whisky every night. Including mojito mint for drinks. Was only at 40% capacity. Rooms were super old beds very uncomfortable would NOT recommend
Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Relaxed in Canada
Beautiful resort and kept very clean. The beach was absolutely stunning, and the pool area was very nice as well. However the pool deck was VERY slippery. I was very pleased with my room. The food…well we know people don’t go to Cuba for the cuisine lol The bars tend to run out of a lot of alcohol and mixes needed for drinks. This was my first trip to Cuba so I didn’t know exactly what to expect and I was quite pleased with everything.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: What a wonderful resort
We were open-minded but skeptical about going back to Cuba after 2 years of reading about shortages, power outages, etc, but read some good things about the PPDM. Not only were the great reviews accurate, but understated, as this vacation in April was one of the best we have had in any Caribbean resort in the past 15 years! The beach is the best of anywhere we have been to, and tops the DR, and Mexico with it's white sand, huge walkable miles of sand, and great ocean swimming or floating! The [... read more]
Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Amazing
We stayed at the Iberostar daquarie in Cayo Guillermo amd it was an absolute unbelievable week. The food was plentiful and alot of varieties. The staff bent over backwards to make our vacation the best ever. The beach, pool, bars and restaurants lived up to our hopes and dreams.
