Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Excellent vacation

Both of our rooms were very nice with a great ocean view. The Gourmet a la carte restaurants were excellent and the Japanese show cooking and Brazillian restaurant very good. The beach was good and pools were great . All staff friendly and helpful. Overall, excellent value for the money.

The hotel is simply marvelous.. from the grounds, the pool, the food and the facilities. The staff are as amazing, friendly and hardworking. We experienced quite a few issues with our room (aircon and TV not working) but they were resolved after 3 days.

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Amazing Resort

We came to this resort to celebrate our honeymoon and were blown away! Never have we been to a resort with this level of service. The amazing staff are what makes this hotel unforgettable, it is quite clear that customer service is the single most important aspect here! We always felt so well taken care of, whether it was on the beach or at the pool there is almost never a reason to go to the bar because the servers are coming around so frequently. We rented a beach cabana for one day and had such a wonderful time that we decided to do it again for our last day. 50$ a day is well worth it! Food was excellent everywhere we went, from room service, to buffets and the a la cartes. They always had something going on as well for dinner, during the week we were there, there was a Mexican fiesta, a circus show and BBQ grill party all of which were outside buffets with a show of some sort. Only downside of these is that if you want a table for 2 they want you to buy a bottle of wine. As part of our honeymoon package we also received a massage at the spa - which was lovely and relaxing aside from the hard massage tables, the spa is beautiful and very relaxing atmosphere. We also received a romantic dinner on the beach which was stunning and the food/service were amazing. I think this hotel has spoiled me for any other as I have never received service like this before (this hotel was above our usual price range, but the difference was 100% worth it). The room was beautiful ,we had a preferred club ocean view king suite and it was well worth it. Based on the reviews I had read I had low expectations of the kind of ocean view we would get, but 4th floor in building 16 we had an AMAZING view of the ocean. As part of the preferred club we also had access to an a la carte breakfast restaurant which we only used twice but was good both times. There was also a preferred club lounge but we didn't really use it other than at check in and to pay our balance. The other thing we loved about this hotel was that there was no need to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve your lawn chair - we did notice that when there was an influx of people who came closer to American thanksgiving some people were doing this but not most - there is a sign that clearly states if you try to reserve a chair before 1030am they will remove the towels and we did see them enforcing this. Speaking of towels, another huge perk was that there was no towel cards!! Towels were plentiful and you could use as many as you wanted/refresh for dry ones, etc. We would definitely come back here again and stay in a run of the mill room, even without the view or a swim-out this hotel is worth going back to. Special thanks to our concierge Roger who went above and beyond and truly seemed to care about our well being, Roberto was also great - simple things like finding out my husband wasn't feeling well and sending us up gatorade and crackers! Eduardo at the beach was also awesome and very "on top of it"making sure everything was going well for us when we rented the cabana. I'm sure I've missed something, but overall - this hotel is 100% worth it, amazing service, amazing atmosphere, great food, STUNNING beach and beautiful pools.

Samba Vallarta: GREAT RESORT

VERY NICE SMALLER RESORT, PEACEFUL GOOD FOOD AT BUFFET LOTS OF SELECTION A LA CARTE RESTAURANTS VERY GOOD FOOD, TOP QUALITY LIQUOR, LANDSCAPING WELL MAINTAINED, STAFF ALWAYS CLEANING FACILIITIES, EVERY MORNING POOL AREAS WASHED AND CLEANED, STAFF AMAZING ALWAYS HELPFUL VERY CHEERFUL AND ENJOYED WHAT WHAT THEY WERE DOING. Friendly Fun Vallarta: 5 star staff!

Had a great week. We were a little worried when we found 3 teams of young soccer players staying there but they were all so well behaved it was a pleasure to see them having fun at the resort. We had our first trip there in January 2017 and decided to go again in November. After going to many resorts in different countries we were surprised at how many people we ran into that bragged about the number of times they have been to Friendly Vallarta..5, 10 and even 18 times. The staff are always helpful & smiling an go the extra mile. We had a few issues with our room and they had them all resolved the day after we arrived. Don't expect a five star resort, but if you want comfortable with 5 star attitude this is the place to stay!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Awesome time at Ocean Coral and Turquesa!

Stayed for one week Nov 3-10 2017 with a group Such a fun time! Resort was maybe half full which was great because no waits, lots of chairs & space! All staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was modern and clean. Food was great--zero complaints! Chose this resort for a few reasons (we usually go further into the Mayan Rivera) --so close to the air port --right on the ocean --clean beach --restaurant selection Did not disappoint! Thank You!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Home Away From Home!!!

12th trip to the Iberostar property. I am never disappointed!! It's great to see familiar faces and enjoy all that these properties have to offer. If I had anything negative to say it's that it's very hard not to gain a few pounds with so many wonderful option of places to eat!!

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Incredible service!

This is a beautiful resort with top notch service! The ala cartes are fantastic. We went to Aroma twice because we loved it so much. The room service was excellent as well as the bartenders and servers at pool and beach. My only complaints were that our pool was FREEZING! And the beach does have coral ! Bring water shoes!!

Dreams Huatulco: A friendly vacation spot

Resort was very clean and the staff were friendly and very accommodating. This was my first stay and would love to go back again soon. Enjoyed every minute of our trip. Easy commute to locations outside the resort.

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Beautiful Resort

This resort is very family friendly, great place for young children. Our check in was very smooth and we were greeted by Rueben. There are several pools so great choice. Please note we vacationed during low season so it was not crowded, lots of towels and chairs to be had. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurants that we enjoyed were the Mediterranean, Japanese and Italian (at Secrets Adults Only) great food. Ocean Riviera Paradise: Awesome resort

We just returned from a glorious week. We would definitely go back to this resort. Our room was spotless. The amenities were replenished frequently and the fridge was cold and filled everyday. The decor was lovely and inviting. Not one complaint there. The buffet and restaurants were clean and the food very tasty. It was not overly busy and the staff very friendly and brought our beverages promptly. We were in the adult section and enjoyed the entertainment very much. Dreams Riviera Cancun: Beautiful Resort, but area is dangerous

This resort is quite beautiful and immaculate. Pros: staff, service, cleanliness, pools, family friendly with great activities. Large sandy beach. Cons: food quality was sometimes poor, remote location, weddings and loud nightly music. Jellyfish stings when ocean is rough. Rise in violent crime throughout Cancun and Riviera.

El Dorado Royale: Good resort

This resort was kept very clean and the grounds were lovely. There were many different activities happening daily. Our room was nice but very dark. The food was generally very good with lots of choice however the service was inconsistent at times but we did have some lovely waiters who couldn't do enough for you.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Awsome Resort

This resort is perfect for someone who wants to stay only at the resort and enjoy the beach, restaurants, and simply relax. The airport is only 30min away - makes for a very quick trip to/from the resort. The adults only section is perfect ... great service, and great food. The beach is steps away. The ice cream & coffee shop on site is perfect .... great selection. Also, we booked with Brenda Melo, she was a great help. Highly recommend talking to Brenda. Have fun!

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Outstanding!!

We were at Akumal in October for a friends wedding ,and it was simply amazing . We watched baby turtles hatching every morning and night, there were staff there constantly watching to ensure they made it safely to the surf. The beach was clean and groomed daily, there were plenty of fish to see while snorkeling . The staff was always helpful and courteous , the maid service was top notch our room was always clean and made up. Park Royal Beach Huatulco: Loved the Hotel and Staff

This is a smaller resort, across from the ocean. The rooms are large and clean. It has ten stories, built into a hillside. There are 2 main pools, one on the seventh floor and one on the beach. Most of the activities are on the beach. They have carts, constantly going between the beach, and all floors of the hotel. This is instead of an elevator, so it takes a little getting used to, but there was little waiting. This is not a 5 star hotel, but if you are looking for something clean, comfortable and friendly, you can't go wrong..

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Wonderful resort

The hotel was amazing , the rooms were spacious and very clean, the grounds were beautiful, the staff were so friendly and the service was impeccable! All of the wait staff and entertainment staff went above and beyond! My only complaint was that the beach wasn’t appealing to swim in, but lovely to walk along !

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Amazing Service

Service, Service, Service. Great food at all restaurants!!!!! Loved the Italian and the Asian restaurants. I travelled with 5 family members and we all loved it. The food was fantastic, the service at the pool was amazing. The entertainment staff were awesome. Grounds and pool area were clean and very pretty. Rooms are huge. Arjel at the ocean bar remembered our names and drinks every night and would go out of his way to get all the ingredients he needed to make us a perfect drink! LOVED the football games televised outside with warm blankets and constant service....soooo much fun. My only negative for this resort would be the ocean. It is not the beautiful blue you would expect in Mexico. It is very clean but rocky and weedy.

Riu Flamingos: We give it 2 stars

We have stayed at RIU HOTELS 7 times in the last 5 yrs. Don't get us wrong it is a beautiful resort. Our problem is with customer service, I am writing this while we are still at the resort. On Monday night our night of arrival the stair lights were out and we had 4 flights of stairs to walk up. On 8Thursday night we went down for dinner only to find the lights out again. This time I fell down hurting my back in pure darkness. We made our way to the front desk to make them aware. The lady asked  [... read more]if I was okay. I told her it was sore and they offered to call a Dr. Was told the cost would be a $100.00 to see the dr. We told them it was because the lights were out, they were gracious enough to offer us $20.00 off the cost of seeing the dr. There has not been one call or knock on the door to see how I am doing. Loved staying at the RIU's but this is our last time as we now see them as wanting your money and not a care at all about your health. When we checked in with the SUNWING rep regarding our flight home, we told her about the incident. She got right up and took us over to the Public Relations lady for the resort only to be told the same thing $20.00 off to see the dr. Kudos to SUNWING for this rep, She called us later stating she would issue us some vouchers from SUNWING as she felt RIU was not doing anything On another note someone had thrown up out a second floor window on the stairway that was there Monday night and was cleaned up Friday morning. This is the only RIU resort where we have noticed the reuse of food, last night chicken in the Italian ala carte restaurant is being served for lunch in the buffet restaurant. They allow locals to come in and use all facilities making it extremely busy,and they all get treated differently then the guest. The line can be busy at bar,but they are looked after first. On Sunday it was packed with them and the pool entertainment didn't even bother speaking in English. They allowed kids and babies in the adult pool, the babies not wearing diapers and kids jumping everywhere. Talked to a lot of other guest and their main compliant was AIR CONDITIONING not working and not being able to get another room for 4 days,and it was super hot there
