Occidental Costa Cancun: Beautiful!

We loved this hotel! It’s a smaller and easy to get around resort, small yet beautiful beach, rooms were immaculate and up to date and the staff were so friendly! Wifi was very difficult to access even after paying for. Lots to do around the area and we loved the nightlife close by, the staff ensured that we had easy access to transportation. I would definitley come back to this resort!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing resort

The wife and i just back from the best trip we have ever had down south.we have been to many other resorts and this place by far was just amazing.the food staff drinks everything was top notch.only downside was they are under staffed at the bars but they are pretty quick still.we only been back 1 day now and we have already booked to go there again in may of next year

Grand Riviera Princess: Grand Riviera Princess

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Riviera Princess; for a large resort, it was very cozy and most of the food and the service at the restaurants were very good, and the live entertainment was excellent. The room was nice; we did have to request some essentials a couple of times but they always followed up quickly. We have never been to an all inclusive type of resort, but I would definitely be back for another visit to this one after I have seen pictures of some of the other ones in Mexi [... read more]co. The only thing that I was hoping for was an outdoor Jacuzzi tub, but did not see one.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great Resort

Great Resort! Would definitely go back! Staff were pleasant and helpful. Clean rooms and common areas! Food was amazing. Great entertainment and definitely caters to all ages. BEWARE of time share pp in the lobby at check in though. Otherwise it was a great time

El Dorado Royale: Royal Treatment at "El Dorado Royale"

We have traveled to many resorts always 4 or 5 *. El Dorado Royale was simply wonderful, the food was truly gourmet quality. The flavours,variety and presentation all top notch in every location. Our room was great with good access to many areas (building 15). Great tram system when going further distances within this large resort. This staff excel at customer service in all areas and their enthusiasm was evident. Nice that there was no restriction on beach towels. All public areas very clean. T [... read more]he beach is extensive and while quite rocky there are a few areas where you can enter to cool off without needing water shoes. Lots of palapas. Beach Loungers would benefit from cushions. We enjoyed a EXCELLENTE,FANTASTICO week and plan to return.

Grand Riviera Princess: Breathtaking vacation!

The environment is definitely an escape of beauty and bliss, the room was neat and clean and the staff for the most part were very nice and helpful. Overall amazing experience and would go again in a heartbeat.

Sun Palace Hotel: Absolutely amazing!

Pros for the resort: Service was outstanding! We could not have asked for anything better! Food selection and preparation was incredible. They were very willing to accommodate to requests. Anything to make us happy! Resort was extremely clean and well kept. From the restaurants to the bathrooms, everything was spotless. The resort is very small. They had said they would do their best to do that. Although when we got there the rooms we had been assigned weren't even on the same floor. The only way to be close was to pay the upgrade fee. It was a little harsh considering we had just arrived. They try their very best with nighttime entertainment. But with is being so small there was very little nightlife. I would have loved to see some sort of sports bar....maybe even a pool table. Great resort over all!! Some of the best service I have ever had in Mexico! We would recommend this resort!!

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Not our idea of Romance! - Never Again!

Where do I start? First morning there I tripped on an unmarked step (which I've heard of several others doing as well). I went down hard. Both shins were bruised, I hurt my right ankle, and landed on the top of my left foot causing bruises on my big toe and second toe from the left and massive stiffness. To their credit, they did offer me medical services, and the lifeguard attended in my room to wrap my ankle. I didn't realize how bad my left foot was until the next morning. Immediately afte [... read more]r the incident, instead of offering to let me rest, the concierge tried to shove their rewards program at me, saying it wasn't a timeshare when I flat out asked her if it was. We were stuck mostly to our room as there only 1 restaurant in the main building that was only open for breakfast/lunch and there was no elevator that went all of the way down to that level. A staff member at one point took pity on me and allowed me to use the staff elevator that went all the way down. Room service was underwhelming at the least. I could often hear the neighbour's tv over my own. It was like he was in my room. Most food options were a jaunt away at the Sensimar side or the main building, which was in the middle of nowhere. They do offer golf cart service, but it was hard for me to get around that much. At least the room was nice. I tried to call for the lifeguard in the afternoon after I had hurt my foot as he said he would come back and re-wrap it. My call to the concierge went to an answering service that hung up on me. I called the main desk, and they said they would send him, but he never arrived. I called back the next morning and he came to wrap my left foot. Our balcony pool had garbage floating in it that didn't get cleaned up such as a plastic bag and an umbrella until I complained over two days later. . After two days in the room, I needed to go out, so we stopped by the concierge to make reservations for a restaurant we wanted to go to. He asked how things were going, and I mentioned some of my concerns. He replied with "what can we do to get you to the presentation". His partner was on the phone with the concierge who was assigned to us, and she was worked up because we didn't show up for the presentation, which we cancelled immediately after I found out it was a timeshare (and I injured myself). I had enough at this point and spoke to the front desk, who wanted us to try and give the resort another try. She immediately sent someone to clean the pool, but the umbrella just wound up on the grass below, and the plastic bag remained on our balcony until check out. We checked out the beach but it was too rocky and smelled like rotten eggs. The main pool was lively, but there were some drunk idiots whipping their shorts down on the ledge above the pool in front of the crowd. The grounds of the hotel are filled with huge advertisements for their other resorts. Very tacky and they take away from any sense of romance. We had our Anniversary dinner on the beach and paid for the upgraded package with Champagne. Between soup and the main course a torrential downpour came and we were soaked. All we could do was just laugh at that point. The special morning after breakfast showed up and it wasn't what we ordered at all. The hotel decided to move us as I didn't think I could stay there any longer. 4 nights was enough for us. Luckily the hotel they moved us to was a smaller and quieter, and we were able to salvage the 6 nights we had remaining. This hotel may be adults only, but it does not seem to be geared towards couples. It's not romantic and seems very cold. The crowd seems to be more of a party crowd. Not what we were looking for at all. Karisma really needs to re-think their hard sell on their timeshares. It should not be the concierge pushing you into the timeshare. It's not fair that you have to go see the concierge for so many things, and each time you get pressured. I didn't pay good money for this vacation to be subjected to that. I would never return to this resort or another Karisma resort because of this experience. We did have a better time at the resort we were transferred to - El Dorado Maroma, but it did not make up for this, and the fact that we were hounded about the timeshare there again, when I made it clear what happened at the other resort made things worse. Was not offered the check out survey, and the one sent by email to me was deactivated - not surprised. This will definitely be an Anniversary we don't forget, and not in a good way.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Service was Great

We had a nice week Nov. 12-19 2017. We stayed in the Deluxe side of the Platinum Yucatan Princess nice rooms, only problem are the drunks screaming and yelling from the swim up bar when we got back to the room about 5pm hard to enjoy a beer on the balcony but it was entertaining watching them trying to walk back to there rooms at 5:45 as they stop serving at that time. Then it quiets down. The hotel is very nice and the service is great. The food was very good and we liked that you don't need [... read more] a reservation. Scuba shop is in front of the sister resort at the beach look for the sail boats and jet skies. $95 usd for two tank dives and the dive boat picks you up at the dive shop 9am back by noon. I had my own gear but the rental gear looked in good condition. You can book your dives at the beach bar-grill on the Platinum side booth is beside the beach bar-grill. Dive masters are good and safe we had small groups 4 - 5 divers. Reef is in good condition saw at least two turtles and a ray on every dive lots of fish. bottom time was based on air consumption not a set time. Yes if you are beach people like us and you like to swim in the ocean you will have to have beach shoes on to get in and out of the water. The Platinum side beach is nice but the reef is exposed do to erosion you will need beach shoes. We had shoes and enjoyed the ocean swim once you get in far enough. This would not stop us from returning to this hotel as most of the Mayan hotels have the same problem.

El Dorado Royale: Very nice resort

The grounds of this resort are beautiful. The people are friendly. There is some inconsistency in the service overall. For example, some days you get turn down service and some days you don’t. The food was wonderful but the service sometimes was lacking. Not always getting your order correct.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Truly amazing resort and staff

Outstanding facility, staff, grounds and service. The entire place is spotless and well maintained. The staff are efficient and friendly and work tirelessly to make your stay a memorable experience. This was my first trip and I'm already looking to go back with all the grandkids. There is so much to do and see, we didn't even leave the resort grounds.

El Dorado Royale: Nice, fun and relaxing week!

Overall this hotel was lovely. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the choices of restaurants and areas to go and things to do was good! I thoroughly enjoyed my week there. There were only a few things to comment on in regards to service. I found service was inconsistent and when it was good it was fantastic and there was the occasional times where it was not so good. El Dorado Royale: The resort was amazing

The hotel was very well kept and a pleasure to walk around. I absolutely loved the the grounds. The service at our favourite restaurant was a pleasure. Hats off to Anastcio of Laila’s restaurant. He was awesome.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: A very good resort

Hello David, As per your request the following relates to our recent trip to the Decameron in Bucerious. This is our 7th trip to this location. First comment is that the weather was great, a little hot but beautifully sunny for the whole holiday. The resort is as expected - well positioned (near Bucerias), very clean with a great beach. If we have one negative observation it would be that they should be more creative when it comes to items on the buffet menu . Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: great location

the grounds were lovely, well maintained, pools terrific layout( quieter, adult area as well), buffet offered lots of choices .Wait staff friendly and accommodating. Oscar the bartender was awesome ! Dulce the waitress was as well. Rooms clean , shower basic- suggest they install grab bars for safety. It was very hot and humid when I was there so it took some time to cool the room off- ceiling fans would help. The only downside this visit was related to the inundation of kids and families for  [... read more]the soccer tournament( that occurs annually) which resulted in lots of noise, kids at the bar( soft drinks), lineups at dinner during the last 3days. They weren't bad it was just so noisy. Otherwise a good place to stay.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: A must to discover!

We had a wonderful time at this resort which met all of our expectations. We were there for 7 nights in mid-November. The hotel grounds are very beautiful with paths in luxuriant forest - a sanctuary for several animals from monkeys to flamingos. The hotel and the rooms are well maintained and very clean. The food at the buffet was good with lots of choices. We ate at 4 of the 5 restaurants: We enjoyed the Japonese restaurant the most, but we're disappointed by the Mexicain one. There was entert [... read more]ainment for all ages all through the day and the evenings shows were excellent; the theater was always packed. The beach is beautiful and allows for long walks. The hotel is also very well located in a safe area at a 30 minute walk from the 5th avenue and 5 minutes from a strip mall. All the personnel at the resort was very friendly, helpful and always smiling despite their long working hours. I will return to this resort no hesitation.

El Dorado Royale: Absolutely amazing resort!!!!

This is the absolute best resort I have been to. The food is out of this world including room service to the breakfast buffet, JoJo' s beach restaurant to Fuentes the elegant culinary cooking demonstration restaurant. The pools, the beach, the grounds, the greenhouse all so beautiful.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Repeat Guests

We have been to the Barcelo Maya Palace four times and my son was married here. The grounds are spotless, the food amazing especially the French restaurant, the beach is plentiful with calm water and lots of lounges with shade which is important to me. There are a variety of activities together with areas for children. It is impossible to have a bad time at the Barcelo Palace. The Barcelo Palace is our absolute favourite hotel.

El Dorado Royale: An Incomparable Resort!

I have been to a few all inclusive resorts, including my first experience in the Mayan Riviera, but the El Dorado Royale far exceeded my expectations. The food was extraordinary and beautifully presented at all times, & the staff always helpful & cheerful. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone. Thanks to Trip Central for looking after us as well. Everything went smoothly even when corrections were needed.
