TRS Turquesa: Superbe location, beautiful beach
Jennifer was extremely helpful in our decision making. We couldn't decide which resort to stay in and were getting side tracked by all the TripAdvisor reviews (from poor to excellent) So it was nice to talk with an actual person, and get an opinion from a professional. She was a joy to talk with, and was very quick to reply when I had follow up questions. First time in Dominican Republic for me, great experience. Resort was a bit big for my liking, but the Adults Only section we were in was [... read more]
The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beautiful Views
Hotel was very disorganized when checking in. Papers not ready. Given key didn't work had to go back. Safe was not reset had to wait 2 days (after numerous calls) to get someone to come and reset it. Towels were taken from the room in the morning and had none until i called and asked when they would be coming. Shower head bracket broken - couldn't raise it so water came out at a 4 ft level. TV was fuzzy and no English stations - till speaking to other guests we were told they had channels - [... read more]

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Fun place
We were a family with 2 young kids and we spent christmas at the hotel. The beach was very nice though people claim its murky. Its simply because of the sand. Kids had an amazing time with the figferent shows they have. Staff are very nice and room clean. Food was good too.
Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great Resort with some disappointment
The resort was fantastic with the exception of the food at the buffet. Not much care in preparation or selection at times. Greatly disappointed with the selection in fresh fruit and vegetables. However we had the best concierge Kelly Herrera in our building. Catered to any of our concerns and requests. We've made a friend for life. We stayed in building 8.The bartender Ramone gave the best attention to our teenage boys and made sure they too had a great time. This is a resort with a lot to do an [... read more]
Grand Palladium Palace: Terrible Flight
Flight time was 8AM- we arrived at the airport at 5:20AM, completed check in, waited till 8AM, no boarding, no such announcement, so, we all had to be at the gate without going anywhere inside of the airport- at 8:10AM, the flight time changed to 11:45AM- again, no explanation. We waited till 11:45AM- no boarding at all- and around Noon- they started to board all passengers- and we had to wait inside of the flight till 1:40PM- NO Food- had to buy poor flight breakfast options to feed family. Barcelo Bavaro Palace: nice resort, unbeatable beach
this was our second time to the Barceló Bavaro Palace in 1 year and it did not disappoint. Resort is fairly big, but is well situated, so nothing is too far. they have a cute train going around the resort, which my kids loved. the grounds are extremely well maintained, but for me the beach is the biggest draw. wide, powdery sand, and tons of free chairs at all times. The Japanese restaurant is a must, the rest of the la carte ones are just ok. I have been to many different 4+ resorts all [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Beautiful, clean and well maintained resort
The resort itself is beautiful. Rooms are clean, food is incredible, beach is meticulously raked all day. Water is not as blue as you may be expecting, and all excursions require a boat ride or a bus ride out for more than one hour. It is the only resort that is on the beach so quite private. Great for couples or families.
Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Nice hotel, non suitable sea water!
Nice, clean, pleasant, ideal for relaxation, helpful staff, decent food. The hotel is located in a bay area attached to the family section, sandy, clean beach, but dirty sea area / location, not suitable to swim, snorkel, etc.
Royalton Punta Cana Resort: 5 star resort
This hotel is very beautiful, and is definitely a 5 star. Accommodations were amazing, in the diamond club swim up rooms Food was pretty good for the most part. Beach was fabulous.. Our kids..7 and 10 loved the big waves. Not so good for babies Butler Daniel was amazing and always around Swim up room number 1431 was the closest to the beach...very amazing Could hear waves at night No theft all. Wendy our cleaning women was perfect
Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Mixed feelings at the Sirenis Cocotal
Upon arrival, we thought the resort looked beautiful, well maintained grounds, large lobby, very inviting. We had to wait two hours to check into our room (we required two since we are a family of 5 - 3 being teens). We were told to go ahead and have lunch at the buffet. The food was pretty disappointing to be honest. It wasn't hot, there were odd combinations like ham chunks in olive juice, and other mystery meats that we decided we shouldn't attempt. The kids managed to find a few things [... read more]

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Melia Caribe Chritmas
The Melia is a huge hotel.....very clean, friendly staff and very beautiful. If you enjoy walking then there is plenty....15 minutes from one end of the complex to the other. However they do have a shuttle (train) that runs all day and other staff in golf carts if you want a ride. Our stay there was one to remember. Other than some issues at check in the rest of the stay was perfect. The rooms are big and clean, the restaurants have a big variety of food. You may have to wait 30 minutes to [... read more]
Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Perfection
Hands down this resort is at the top of our list of favourites. The report is beautiful and we love the pool and swim up rooms. There was never a problem finding a lounge chair in the sun or shade, poolside or at the beach. The wait staff is a big reason why we would go back again, they were all very attentive and sociable. Thank you to Fransico (Benjamin Franklin) and Simon (Happy) you made our week. We especially enjoyed the fact that you didn't have to book reservation for dinner, you could [... read more]
Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: worth money
Spent one week ending December 24th,2016 had a great time, the staff was efficient in fixing minor problems with room, which was kept clean, with daily maid service. There was plenty of food all meals including Snack bar service and the open bar with all kinds of local drinks all included except for imported drinks(you pay) . For me the vacations was very relaxing, and apart from some rain, enjoyed the beach and sunshine.
Grand Palladium Palace: Super DUPER amazing resort
Everything was wonderful and beautiful. The weather was perfect; not too humid and not too cold. The staff were very nurturing and provided me with everything I needed. They were very social and always happy. The location of my room was perfect as well. Just steps away from the pool, beach, and a restaurant. The beach at Palace was beautiful. Staff were there cleaning the beach and discarding away seaweed or any sort of sea plants. Comparing to the other hotel property beaches, ours was by far c [... read more]
Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Good Family Resort
Went with a family of 5 (3 kids under 11) and we had a good time. There are pros and cons to the resort. With access to all 3 Palladium resorts there were many pools/pool bars and restaurants to choose from and a long sandy beach (no rocks - great for kids to swim). There were lots of activities by the pool and hot dog/popsicle stands that the kids loved. It was relatively easy to find seats by the pool/beach everyday. The food was so-so. After a few days we were sick of the buffets - there was [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Another great time
Beautifull suite , amazing grounds and great staff made our 5th trip to the resort the best again .felt safe leaving resort all 5 times and enjoyed going on zip line a few time.beach pedlars are also polite .
Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Nice resort
Beautiful beach. Room was nice, nothing extravagant. Paid for ocean room but no ocean seen! Front desk agreed it was deceptive when we brought it to their attention. They did nothing to compensate...maybe a simple bottle of champagne would of been better than nothing. Food was excellent as was the staff around the whole resort. We were spoiled by a special waitress, Yenice!! She always welcomed us daily with laughter and smiles....remembering our likes and orders. People like this can solidify a [... read more]
Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great staff
The grounds were clean and well kept although the beach was not great. The location was a little remote (1h 30m bus ride) but there were plenty of things to do while on the resort grounds. The shows at the end of the night were fun and worth attending, the food was better than expected, and the staff were amazing! My favourite waiter was Wandy who works at the buffet and I always made sure to sit in his section. For the money, it is a decent experience but if you are looking for a gorgeous beach [... read more]
