Excellence El Carmen is an amazing experience The food is awesome and the staff are the best I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone The hotel has lots of activities going on in the daytime and good shows every night

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Relaxing trip!

Beautiful quiet resort. Rooms were updated (building 6 & 7) and great after we could be moved to one with AC. Food was very good and lots of variety. Grounds are lush abs well kept. Not a lot of night life if that is what you are looking for but we enjoyed this resort very much...and Transat a Trip. Enteral was wonderful!

Are room was awesome .loved the shower .the beach was amazing . the food was awesome . the plants were lovely .The people were working their hardest to try and finish the work that has to be done to finish the renovations . on the resort. the people their were very friendly and very helpful.I was there Dec 4 2016

TRS Cap Cana Hotel: Sub Par, not as described

Description is misleading. Restaurants are staggered between two resorts. Close together but still makes for confusing dining as options rotate and it is not clear which meal "themes" are where so you learn to visit the lobby each morning to source your dining options. There are NO activities at this resort, unlike all other all inclusive destinations we have visited unless you consider a weathered dart board strung from a tree to swing in the wind and three crappy plastic darks that don't st [... read more]ick. Beach is clearly in a current as even though they've netted it off and clean it diligently you swim with plastic garbage that continually floats in. I would rate it highly as a nice quiet resort except that even lacking activities they choose to blast music at the pool, which I'm ok with if I'm having fun but when reading is the only option it gets obnoxious. It's a nice property, very small and clean if you're looking to spend your entire day golfing or off daytripping but otherwise most people we spoke with were very bored by the third day. And if you're thinking of bringing kids, don't. There are no kids and the tours are crazy expensive (again, we've been to the Caribbean many times, we knew what to expect). Local shopping excursion is to a mall and if you go to the local "market" it's just an indoor duty free style shop, nothing different then what you get at the hotel. Totally dissapointing

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Beautiful resort

The hotel is under construction, and we had issues with the air conditioning and hot water. Even though we had problems at the beginning, the hotel, beach, and pools are gorgeous. The food was amazing, large variety of different food and the a la carte was amazing.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Great resort for R & R

We stayed at the resort the first week of December 2016. Highly recommended. Positives - beautiful resort, small with 190 rooms - staff are great, engaging and friendly - food is good to great - lots of chairs and loungers - clean, clean, clean - great views of the mountains, sea and sunsets - good entertainment for a small resort - good house wines - WiFi coverage is okay Cons - small beach but that could be a plus too - not a place for party people but that could be a plus too [... read more] - I'd like to have a sound bar in the room for music If you love quiet, quality service and nature, this is the place for you.

Excellence El Carmen: Amazing resort

This is the best resort I have been to in the DR. Beautiful clean comfortable modern room. The service is great for a new resort, everyone still learning. Was able to get 10000 steps easily walking the beach every day. Premium alcohol at every bar we went to. Food was cooked and tasted to perfection at every restaurant we went to.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: TERRIBLE BEACH

The resort it self was amazing, however we have spoken to our agent prior to going to this resort and stated our priority which is the BEACH. Unfortunately during our stay at this beautiful resort we were not able to go into this "Caribbean Sea" at all. TERRIBLE! We were very upset at the fact that we spent over forty minutes on the phone with an agent to ask about the beach and ended up not being able to use it at all. Our last trip was booked via redtag and will continue with that from now on.

Excellence El Carmen: Fabulous Resort

The hotel was just opened in September and I do highly recommend booking your vacation at this hotel. It is just a great size, about 450-500 rooms and they are all good locations spread between 16 buildings. Plenty of pools, bars and restaurants - all with easy access from the buildings. The grounds were immaculate and will only improve when the new plants start to grow. The spacious lobby offers great sitting areas, a few different bars and several shops. The Martini Bar in the lobby is g [... read more]reat place to sit and have a drink before dinner or at the end of the day. We did not have any issues with the staff, all very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very well laid out with a separate bathroom area with a walk in shower and private toilet. The only negative would be that the shower is open so not a lot of privacy. There is a walk in closet with plenty of storage plus a long desk, cabinet area. The sitting area leads to a large balcony with chairs and table plus a lounge bed. Many of the ground floor rooms have swim up pools and the Club rooms have private swimming pools. There are several restaurants, we only had a chance to try the Italian, Lobster, french and The Grill - they were all very good. The buffet is open for breakfast and lunch and was excellent also. The beach was great, lots of chairs with plenty of palapa for cover from the sun. The beach itself is nice and sandy plus the waves were not large when we were there. Spent several hours a day in the water. I can't say anything wrong regarding this hotel if you want a relaxing high end vacation.

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Grand Paradise Samana

There is good and bad with this resort. The beach was beautiful, main pool was amazing and staff was friendly and accommodating. Resort overall is unfinished and not completely updated. The food variety in the buffet was also lacking and became very repetitive after a few days of eating it.

Half of the Hotel was in Renovations, other half that was finished was nice! , Resort needed fun Entertainment and Music at Pools, we had to supply our own music, Beach was beautiful! Food was decent, drinks were a plenty, staff needs to be happier

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Similar to other Luxury Bahia Principe resorts

We've stayed at 5 LBP resorts now and this was worst location we've stayed at. The hotel chain does a nice job with everything under theiron control. The beach, flies, sand flees, wasps, bees, cock roaches and sewage smell were the worst part. Room great. Services great. Food mostly great. Okay for a pool vacation but I would say the we will not go back.

Excellence Punta Cana: Mui Excellente

Just returned from Excellence Punta Cana and had an amazing time. Hotel is a little dated but they are revamping summer 2017 so looking forward to returning and seeing the new fresh look. The food was great, better than I was expecting for Dominican. You have to try the stuffed peppers at the Mediterranean restaurant and ask for Carlos he was unbelievable and went above and beyond to get everything we wanted including tracking down Ginger Ale. The beach is long and beautiful the ocean was a  [... read more]little rough but that was due to the time of year. The best thing was that no one harassed you to go to time share meetings or to book excursions we were left alone the entire time. The only things that I would complain about which will hopefully be changed when they revamp; not enough outlets in the room. There is one large sink with 2 faucets at either end which does take up most of the counter leaving little room for anything else. The biggest downfall of the room is the toilet there is a window that looks in from the bedroom thru the shower into the toilet so little awkward to go to the bathroom. Overall I would definitely return to this resort!!!

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing

Funjestic, Majestic Colonial is the best. Great people, great food, great drinks, great weather. Second time there was there April 2006 a couple of months after it opened and is better than 10 years ago and it was very good 1st time, will definitely go again.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: great resort

the hotel was an amazing hotel the service was by far one of the best i have been to and I would say i am well traveled we stayed at the Amber Green adult only we even hsd a butler service.they came in at bedtime to fixed your pillar and put chocolate on your bed they know how to spoil you agson yhis was by far the best resort

Riu Merengue: Beautiful Resort

We found our overall stay amazing. The hotel was clean and the staff and servers were very friendly and quick. The food was really good and the entertainment was always great to see. We did have rain everyday, but no one can predict the weather when booking a trip but we still got our sunny days and a great tan.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Bahia principe Fantasia

This resort is great for families with kids. I could not have picked a better place for the budget I spent. Only critique I have was the kiosks at the plaza of All the Bahia principe hotels, the sales men were very bothering trying to impose you a sale on the kiosks but you can avoid that plaza all together if you wanted.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Amazing resort and staff

The Barcelo Barvaro Beach was everything that they advertised. The food was great - buffet's exceptional. Whoever is training their staff could give lessons to other resorts. Everyone there, was happy to help you, greeted you with a hello and smile. We enjoyed the "Adults Only" and it really was. We watched a staff explain to a family that they could not come in the area. There is a great little train that goes around the resort, which is huge, every 15 minutes or so. It was great being able [... read more] to use the other resorts in the chain. My husband golfed 4 days, you reserve your Tee times, then go down to the front desk, who phones the course and they send a cart over to pick you up. The waterpark is great! There were 6 of us that played a 18 hole mini golf (which was free). Another really great thing is that it is only about a 25 minute transfer from the airport, depending on traffic. I would go back anytime!

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Great relaxing vacation

The hotel was great and awesome staff. Friendly and very helpful. Kennedy at the pool side bar was awesome and remembered us and always had a drink ready once he saw us coming. Hercules from the entertainment staff is a great person and fun to hang out with. He was there every day saying hello and playing volleyball with us. At night he was again there to see how we were doing and made sure to invite us to the evening events and the disco. Overall, the hotel is small but very nice and clean. Sensatori Resort Punta Cana: Amazing Vacation

We stayed Dec 2 to Dec 9 in a premium honeymoon swim-up room 9102. We loved our room. It was spotless everyday, close to the swim-up bar and beach. Service and food were awesome. I would recommend this resort. We received the best service from Wander, Jose and Alexander the great.
