Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful Resort

The room was more than I expected. Very spacious and clean. The grounds were exquisite. Staff were very friendly and fun to be around. The shuttle service was great and you didn’t have to wait long at all. Food and restaurants were beyond what I had expected as well. Can’t wait to go back!

Secrets Huatulco: Great Resort!

We really enjoyed our stay at Secrets Huatulco! The grounds were impeccable, the pool was amazing - it stretched the size of the hotel. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The spa was amazing. Great food and service! Would highly recommend.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: BEWARE MAJOR RENO AT THIS RESSORT

Staff are amazing, but I would think a ressort would close down for RENO'S. Jack hammer ,paint smells most of the ressort was barricaded no access to it...... Was not relaxing.Ressort should tell travel agencies who put this package together so they could inform us. Will not return

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort

The resort is amazing, the choices for food were excellant, and the staff were always polite and wanted to help. It is a shame the same cannot be said for the Sunwing portion of this trip. Sunwing go out of their way to make things difficult, especially during the flight, the aeroplane was a disgrace and the flight crew were impollite. Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Great place

I loved everything about the hotel but it was a shame that we could not swim in the sea. It looked sooooo inviting.We also enjoyed the nightly entertainment . I wish we would have stayed longer than one week.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Be careful of the food

It looks like a great family hotel. However, we had some disappointments. The pirate ship with the water slides was covered in rust. There was moisture in the room. It was smelling gasoline all the time on the beach. But more importantly, I had food poisoning on my last night on the resort. I went with my 7 month old baby and my 5 year old boy. I do not drink alcohol as I am breastfeeding the baby. I ate some fish on my last night and around 10pm I started vomiting every one hour until 6am the n [... read more]ext day. We had to go to the airport at noon. I never felt that terrible. I was lying down on the floor in the airport unable to move. Unable to catch my flight! My husband was trying to get me some orange juice. I had never been so sick of all my life. I was so dehydrated. I was not able to drink nor to eat. I ate a bit before the plane and I got sick again. I had asked some orange juice to be sent to my room on the morning after I got sick as I was not able to leave the room and they charged me for it even after my husband explained I had food poisoning from their food. I asked if I could get a banana and I couldn't because it was not on their room service menu although it was on the buffet menu. They brought some of their exotic sliced fruits instead. I will never go back to that hotel.

Secrets Huatulco: cleanest resort and great service

This is one of the cleanest resorts Ive ever been to. Its great that it is so environmentally friendly, The grounds are immaculate, the rooms are so clean and people clean the pool every day. there isnt a stitch of seaweed on the beach. Fantastic! The service is excellent. The guy making the eggs and omellettes is the happiest lersn ever, Salvo serving drinks is fantastic and constantly happy. Riu Tequila: Top Notch!

A truly top notch hotel. From the minute we arrived, the check in process was smooth. We were offered a fruit drink on arrival and then our luggage carried to our room right away. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I loved the Mexican feel to them. They did an excellent job of cleaning the rooms daily and always included a little surprise to brighten up our day......flowers, towel figurines. The beach is across the street. There is a lovely treed walkway or you can take a shuttle. We loved to walk it though especially after having a large breakfast. Lots of loungers at the beach so never had to worry about not getting one. While at the beach you can have lunch at the restaurant that is located at that resort and also use their pool and pool bar. We ate lunch there a couple of time but found it very busy so we preferred to head back to the Riu Tequila where things were not as crowded and in my opion food was much better with more selection . All the restaurants at the Tequila were excellent , the food was exceptional. We enjoyed every meal we had. The restaurant are also very clean. The staff is always making sure that food is fresh and serving utensils at the buffet are replaced frequently. I have actually never been to any other resort where they do such an impeccable job. The evening entertainment is like nothing I have seen before. The team is extremely talented. It was like watching a Vegas show every night. You can tell that all the staff take pride in what they do. They are friendly , courteous and go out of there way to make sure you are enjoying yourself. It feels like they are all one big happy family. I was extremely impressed at how well things are maintained and the fact that they pay attention to small details. I would have rated it a 10 star if there was such a thing. They are doing renovations in the spring so I really hope they don’t change the feel of the hotel too much by modernizing it. It is perfect just the way it is. We are already looking at booking our next visit there. Thank you again to all the staff for making our vacation so memorable!

Ocean Maya Royale: Loved it!

Great selection of fresh and tasty food. They didn't have Gluten free bread, which I would have liked. Loved the white sandy beach. The entertainment was amazing. The staff was very friendly. Adults only was a bonus.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Very nice resort

Iberostar Paraiso Lindo is lovely. The food, grounds are lovely, staff are extremely helpful. However, the superior standard room was a disappointment. There were 3 adults in this booking. Our agent thought the superior room was a larger room. However, that was not the case. The resort told us that the "superior" was due to the ideal central location, not a room upgrade. The room was an older basic room. We needed a repairman for the safe and the door lock. We also had the coffee bar a [... read more]rea sprayed for very tiny bugs. Recommend the hotel but get a room "upgrade" I enjoyed the gym, and surprised by the superior quality of the gym classes. Their staff were obviously very knowledgeable and experienced trainers. We wanted to use the spa facilities, but ran out of time. Lots to offer there, but pricey. Also the entertainment staff were wonderful, especially Moises. The evening shows were superior, as well as the daily activities.

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Amazing stay once again!

This was our second stay at sandos playacar and it didn't disappoint. The layout of the resort is incredible with a little something for everyone. The beach is unbeatable and the staff are absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Totally amazing resort

This was our second stay a the ABBWR. First went in May 2017. After staying for 1 week we realized how much of an amazing place this is and within three weeks of our return we had booked our second trip for two weeks. All rooms have an incredible beach view and and everything from the dining hall to the pools and al la carte restaurants are easily accessible. Snorkeling in the bay is absolutely amazing. Lots of activities to keep one busy. Yoga, paddle boarding, dance lessons, tequila tasting [... read more], sushi bar, I could go on and on. Food is great and the staff are so friendly. Every one goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is magical. We would recommend this resort to everyone. It really is Amazing.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Outstanding Resort

We absolutely loved this resort and the staff. Food was excellent, rooms were beautiful and kept very clean by the staff Common areas were plentiful and although the hotel was almost full, we never felt crowded. Beach was excellent All in all a great vacation. Kateryna Mikhailiuk of TripCentral Burlington suggested this resort and she was completely right. We had intended to go to a Royalton as we like them so much but this was equally fantastic

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: It's like "coming home"

I have been to this resort more than a dozen times over the past 7 years. It's like coming home to me. The staff make the resort wonderful and the food is amazing. Try the room service menu, it's wonderful!! They seem to be attracting a lot more European guests over the past couple of years, and have removed the 'no topless' signs (at least I couldn't find them). I don't understand this - catering to Europeans with regards to this, because in Mexican culture, being topless is frowned  [... read more]upon. My only 3 suggestions are: foot baths by all the smaller pools to dip your feet in to get the sand off so you are not tracking it into your room, and most importantly a card, or brochure that is clearly marked regarding Reef etiquette. NO standing on the coral, and NO feeding the fish, etc. We saw at least a dozen people feeding the fish and I have a very strong opposition to this - as does any experienced snorkeler or diver. This just makes the fish aggressive, and ABR doesn't seem to be doing much to educate their guests. They do have a pamphlet, not titled with anything other than their logo, which is placed with all the other books on the credenza. I would guess that 90% of their guests never read these. Disappointing. Thirdly, start reinforcing the 'no towels' on the loungers, like you have signs on every palapa stating it. People are all but running to grab beach lounge chairs, at 6:15am, and by 7am, most of them are taken. We go down and get them, but we actually start our day at that time - on the beach, and we stay there throughout the day.... Aside from these observations, I still love the resort and the staff who are always so welcoming

Temptation Resort & Spa: A Place to Just Be You

Grounds well maintained by hard working staff. The colorful lights at night are beautiful. Washrooms around resort were always kept clean. All staff were friendly and very interactive with guests. Rooms were very comfortable and well maintained. Buffet food was ok but could have a little improvement such as more selection. More cooked vegetables would be nice. Toasters would be more functional rather than the current style being used. Overall loved the place and will be back.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: We had the best time!

This resort was simply lovely. We stayed for two weeks from Oct 19-November 2’17. We stayed in the Beso Adult only section. They have the Daisy Family section with an amazing water park for the kids!! Pros- Extremely clean! Wonderful staff, very friendly and hard working, eager to please. Activity staff were very enthusiastic and fun. Food was delicious! Lots to choose from and loads of healthy options, as well as tons of desserts. The Japanese Teppanaki Restaurant was a fun experience. Rooms are gorgeous and clean with a large balcony with comfortable furniture. Cleaning staff did a great job everyday and the room looked and smelled clean !! Nature is honoured and protected here. From the little Coaties, to the iguanas to the monkeys! We loved catching glimpses of them and even saw a mama monkey with her baby up in the trees!! Cons- Honestly, the one negative comment is that the beach, while very lovely, was too rocky for swimming. There are plenty of loungers for relaxing though! The only other issue was the H10 sales staff trying to get us to come to their sales presentation. We declined and they weren’t too pushy, but we were asked three times in two weeks. All in all, we loved our vacation at the Oceans Riviera Paradise.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Good 3 Star Resort

We went down as a group and chose this resort because of the location and price. Very easy to walk around town and great beach. The rooms are clean, don’t expect anything fancy. The food is ok but with many top notch restaurants and bars in town we chose to eat out most nights. Great staff is the highlight of this resort. I would only suggest you choose this resort if you can get a package with flights under 1000 Canadian dollars.

Crown Paradise Golden: Great

Amazing time food was wonderful. The staff was great. We are going back. we had a great time over all. A beautiful view .from our room. our room was very clean very day just a wonderful place over all

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Mediocre

So the weather was in our favour for the entirety of our trip Oct 24 - 31. Pools were good, the quiet pool was amazing to keep away from the bussle but if you like that part then that's all good too. Buffets were adequate but not great. The a la cartes were garbage. Nothing good. And primarily buffet style anyway so what's the point. Quite the distance from the airport and most excursions. Prepare for long drives. Bonus was that the room was exceptional. Lots of places to drin [... read more]k and eat on this resort so you'll never go hungry or sober up. Beach was nothing special. Rocks mostly. Little areas to swim but on a busy day there isn't much room. Staff is excellent here.

Grand Riviera Princess: "A". Plus Resort

Staff fantastic, friendly and attentive. Grounds beautiful. Food spectacular Pools great. Restaurants and buffets were exceptional! Selection amazing. Bar service....second to none. Fast and friendly. Deluxe Jr. Suite very nice. Except for the jacuzzi, Junior Suite would be fine. Swim out Suite looked nice but a lot of other guests assumed these pools were for anyone. Anyone booking one of these should know anyone can be right outside their patio. Beach very nice...lots of lounge chair [... read more]s. Ocean....getting in and out requires one to wear protective footware because of the rocks and stones. Exchanging currency no problem. Be wary of certain workers in lobby trying to entice guests with a free breakfast. They should be more upfront about trying to get you to listen to a presentation. People arriving are tired and these workers try to get to you right away. Check in and check out very guest friendly.
