Las Brisas Huatulco: Amazing environment but property outdated

The environment of the resort is amazing. The service of the staff is excellent and efficient. The food in the buffet and therestaurants is good but not excellent. The room is spacious and clean, but the condition and the decor is quite outdated.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing holiday again

Stayed at this resort for seven beautiful days. Had an ocean front room which was a little dated but room was very clean and everything work. The beach is rocky when entering which didn’t affect us as we always wear water shoes. Had no problem booking all seven a la carte restaurants and had amazing food at all that we booked. Also found there house wines to be very good. Transportation around the resort is great. The trolleys came around every ten minutes so no waiting around. Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Luxurious Resort

This resort was out of this world...you name it all and it was 100/10. No complaints whatsoever about the services, resort, people, food, rooms, activities and the list goes on! By far the best resort I have been too in my life

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf and Spa: Kinda an all inclusive! But great!

This is a wonder older hotel well maintained and in a fantastic location! You get access to all the resorts, but…. There is a significant service charge for many of the restaurants even just to book! They also have a lot of their better offerings at significant surcharges! Still it’s a la cart menu offerings are very good and the service is excellent! The beach is clean and great for walking but you can’t swim due to the rip tides! Golf is excellent although at almost $400 a round! The tr [... read more]ansportation between hotels is excellent and you can book a shuttle on line to the Rose and it’s a short walk to downtown! The Market which has food stations is an excellent fun option if you can’t decide what you want!

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Average resort

Older resort that requires some upgrades. Hot water was intermittent during stay and many guest were complaining about have no hot water. Food was not up to 4 star but staff was good and tried hard to ensure proper service.

Riu Emerald Bay: Well worth the money!

Our group of 10 thoroughly enjoyed the RIU Emerald Bay Resort. We had read a few negative things about the resort, mainly elevator issues. Some people reported waiting up to 20 minutes for an elevator. We were on the 19 floor and did wait a couple of time but not nearly as bad as reported. However, we had requested 2 doubles beds but our request was not honoured. After a lengthy discussion with the front desk we did get it resolved.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal

This hotel & resort has plenty of pool space, a nice beach swimming area and plenty of spaces to hang out in and gather with our group of approx. 20 travellers. Booking restaurants was very difficult, most of us couldn't get any restaurant reservations and the bathrooms in the lobbies seemed to all be missing hooks on the back of the doors inside the stalls. Fabiola (entertainment team) and Victoria (concierge) both went above and beyond to accommodate our big travelling group.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Just ok...

Trying to find the positive in a mediocre week away at the Seaside Suites. Dated rooms and bathrooms however, housekeeping was consistent and attentive. Food was tasty but most items were cold or at the best warm. Booking a la carte can be challenging at any resort, particularly difficult here. Despite walking past restaurants 1/3 full after being told there are no tables. Very understaffed so hard to get support when needed - Mildred the night manager was amazing and helpful. Lizbeth and Armando at the preferred pool were lovely and kind. Most uncomfortable chairs - beach, pool, restaurants, rooms, makes for a long week when you can't get comfortable anywhere. For the money and the star rating I would suggest this is not a 5 star but perhaps a solid 3.5 with some elements being a 4. Thankfully the weather was amazing which makes everything better.

Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos: Solarium unit is the best

We loved the place. We would come back, but only to stay in the solarium location. Fun staff, good views, good food. It's far from town , so you have to take cabs in to town. Very security conscious staff, made us feel safe.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: A Must Stay

Excellent resort - grounds are beautiful, food was great, service and cleanliness were excelllent. About 25 minutes from the airport so fairly convenient. Felt very safe. Resort was done up for Christmas beautifully.

Atelier Playa Mujeres: Beautiful in many ways

The resort was beautiful, new, well kept, beautiful beach. Staff was no.1 all around. Drinks at the bars were beyond. Drinks at the beach did not uphold same quality. The rooms were beautiful with no.1 housekeeping. Cleaned twice daily with new sheets. Great products. Transportation there and back was uneventful. Great transfers. We had high expectations for the food but overall was good but not great as we were led to believe. A couple we met who had just left another local 5 star resor [... read more]t confirmed our opinion. They said the cocktails were better at Atelier but the food was not as good. Friendly tourists too. Loved the lobby bar entertainment

Breathless Cancun Soul: Great Resort

This is the second time we have been here, so we obviously thought enough to come back. This was largely because of service from Daniel in the buffet and service from the entire pool club from XHale...simply outstanding. They recognized us from last year and those are the things that make you feel you are coming home! All good, but, hopefully, one suggestion, for xHale members, why not leave beepers in the lounge so they can put us on the dinner wait list and give us a beeper. We had girls fighting beside us and they took it into the hall...it was a disaster. The next night it was a huge party in the room. You can't vet your guest list but security needs to take it seriously and be there faster.

El Dorado Royale: Great resort

El Dorado Royale is a huge, beautiful resort. The food choices were excellent and we had a wonderful time. Everyone (the employees) was very nice and quick to fulfill any requests. .Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Amazing Resort

We've been the Las Brisas Huatulco about a dozen times. It checks all the boxes. Set on a beautiful piece of land, with lots of tennis/pickleball, great swimming beaches, good food, comfortable rooms with great service and staff. We get lots of exercise walking around the resort but would caution anyone with mobility issues, ... this is not the place for you.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Be Prepared

You will be dropped off at the edge of a neighborhood. Hopefully your driver will be better than ours. There’s an Oxxo store up the road, as well as a big store - you might want to make a note of it, because your room will only have one warm bottle of water in it, and a lot of the day you won’t be able to find anything to eat. Before opening the door to your room, close your eyes and picture Motel 6 in the 80s, and get prepared. I think they shipped in the furniture when Motel 6 upgraded in the 90s. Once you enter, be very happy if your light works. The lamps on the nightstands might even work too, if you’re really lucky. Apparently, some of the rooms are even equipped with a floor lamp! You know you’ve hit the jackpot then. Before you look at the shower, lower your expectations. Then lower them a bit more. Did you bring some flip-flops? I’d suggest wearing them in there. Yikes. The shower curtain looks like it’s been there since back when shower curtains were a thing. If you arrive in the afternoon, you’ll be waiting until after 6pm to get anything to eat. Bring food. Once the buffet opens, you and all the birds in the area will enjoy some Saran wrap covered food that you may have to uncover yourself. Underwhelming doesn’t even begin to describe the buffet. Tomorrow, if you want to fight with the wifi at 8am, you might be able to get a reservation at one of the a la carte places. I wish you luck. Otherwise, line up with 50 other people at 7:30am. There are pools. And lounge chairs. If you want one, you’ll have to get up at 6am and go get one. They don’t skim the pools during the day.. ‘nuff said. The beach is nice. The sand is fine. If you like to run on the beach, take a week off. The angle down to the water is pretty steep. On the way back up to the resort, you can try your best to wash your feet at the shower station. One of them almost works! In short, if you pay more than $900/wk per person, Wyndham is seriously tipping you off. A few days in, and I was envying the people heading to the airport to go home.

Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club: Amazing resort

Nice food, all restaurants available for walk ins, accommodating staffs and beautiful rooms. Location is a bit far but the casa zamna area is great with lively bars and shops just outside of the hotel.

Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos: Amazing Resort!

A perfect Anniversary celebration with exquisite dining, unbeatable snorkeling, beautiful architecture and landscape and fantastic attentive staff! My husband and I and our friends chose the Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos to celebrate both our wedding anniversaries and it turned out to be a beautifully memorable trip! The architecture is beautiful, blending modern elegance with traditional Mexican flair, creating a tranquil and luxurious atmosphere throughout the property. The resort is a stunning backdrop for any special occasion, but it's the combination of exceptional service, exquisite dining, fantastic snorkeling right at the resort beach and incredible natural beauty that truly sets it apart. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. The dining experience was flawless-the atmosphere was intimate, the food was exquisite, and the servers were incredibly and consistently thoughtful….whether we tipped them or not. For us, the absolute highlight was the access to some of the best snorkeling in Los Cabos! The water was crystal clear, and we spent hours exploring the vibrant underwater world. We saw sooo many colourful fish and plenty of schools of fish too, as well as sea turtles and beautiful coral formations. We are also scuba divers and normally only see such vibrance when we are diving. If you are looking for the perfect blend of romance, fun and adventure for your next milestone celebration, this is the place! This was the first spa I’ve ever tried out so I have nothing to compare it to but I absolutely loved it! I do get massages on a regular basis at home so I know what a good massage is like and my massage at this spa was spot on perfect! The rest of the spa facility provided a serene escape for a much-needed few hours of relaxation. On the day before we were to leave, when we got back from diving, Alesha (I think she is one of the resort managers) called our room to talk to me about an issue we had when we first arrived. Her timing was perfect as she was saying that she had somehow been having a hard time getting in contact with us. She was able to arrange a wonderful complementary dinner for the 4 of us at La Bodega as compensation for the issue. This was perfect as we hadn’t tried this restaurant yet and hadn’t planned on it as it was the only restaurant on the resort that was $$$$ extra charge and was the only place we could get lobster (a favorite for 3 of us). The food was fantastic and all the staff were really wonderful to us! They really made us feel special as we celebrated our anniversaries. Then to top things off, there was a lovely romantic gesture waiting for us in our rooms that night (bottle of champagne chilling in a bucket of ice and plate of chocolate covered strawberries). We can’t help but mention how clean and tidy this resort was. In particular the cleaning staff for our rooms were the best we have ever had! They not only cleaned but kept our stuff neat and tidy…they even folded our clothes if we left anything out on the floor or on the bed or furniture…and no, they weren’t tip motivated as we didn’t leave a tip for them till the end. We would like to extend our heart felt gratitude and appreciation for the excellent service and hospitality from all members of the Grand Fiesta Americana resort. Literally all the staff members that we interacted with were very attentive to all of us. Also we would like to extend a job well done to the restaurant manager (Richard) and all his restaurant staff. This has been the best restaurant experience from all our historical resort experiences. Congrats on the excellent service and attention to detail. While we were checking out, the Operations Manager, Martin Flores, came over to us at the front desk to extend his apologies for a rough start but that he hoped things ended on a positive note and they certainly did! The issue at the start of our stay wasn’t really that big of an issue but the fact that they wanted to make things right regardless of the size of the issue spoke volumes. We look forward to returning next year!

Riu Palace Kukulkan: Great resort

Resort was perfect,nice and compact,not overcrowded, food was amazing,especially the Gourmet and Steakhouse. The beach was clean and the water was clear and warm,a little choppy when we got there but was great after a few days,pools were great and no problem getting loungers at all,lastly,the people were amazing from the bartenders to the servers,highly recommend this resort!!!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Fun resort for kids but comes with food poisoning

The hotel had a lot to see and do. It’s really great if you have children. However, 5 out of the 10 people in our group experienced food poisoning and because of that we wouldn’t return. Also, our room phone was called numerous times by hotel staff trying to sell us something at 9am. I had to unplug our phone mid trip. The housecleaning person also would knock on our door at 9am. This was our second visit to this resort The main difference was there was a very different clientele, mostly guests original headed to Jamaica. We were in the Exhale wing and for three nights we had fighting foul mouth females We don't feel that the front desk personal should be asked to rectify this very volatile situation This happened from 2am each morning. Very annoying to say the least
