Hotel Playa Coco: Playa Coco - A fine resort!

It was an all-inclusive resort. The staffs were friendly and tend to our needs when asked for. They had two 24-hou open bars for all booze lovers. They had activities and games at the resort and every night they will have dance and music programs as well. It was very entertaining. Do not expect much from the buffet experience, you could find some things that you like to have. Their menu is almost similar every day. Beach and Pool experience was amazing.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: A PIECE OF PARADISE

Visited March 24-31, our second time since November 2022. A great go to for an inexpensive vacation. Can't do better than the beaches at Cayo Guillermo. While the hotel was full, the food was not as good as in Nov, when the hotel was only 1/3 full. More choices this time but lacked quality. Flies in buffet made for quick meals. No wine at all. Purchased a bottle in the store and more when we went to Moron. No Cristal one day, Moosehead cans served. Rooms are dated but comfortable and clean. [... read more] Staff is amazing, very friendly. Hotel Playa Paraiso: Excellent Vacation

Just returned from this resort last week This was our second visit last visit was a few years ago as the Pestana and we thought we would come againThe grounds were so well kept and the resort so clean,Our room in building 7 was kept immaculate by our maid and always replenished.The food was plentiful and always found something we liked .The bar staff were so well organized and professional and friendly We especially enjoyed the entertainment in the lobby before the shows . Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Cheap and super cheerful

This resort was outstanding. The staff is incredible, they go above and beyond to help out. The food was decent and always fresh. The beach is beyond beautiful. The resort is clean and well kept! A few repairs are needed to help prevent some trips or falls. The resort is also wheel chair friendly. Thanks to the staff for a great time.

Melia Costa Rey: Pullman, Cayo Coco -- First Visit -- Had a great time!

Covid made us wait three years for this trip! We eagerly anticipated the opportunity to visit, once again, an island that has been our destination 6 times in the last 20 years. Pullman was recommended by our travel agent, and it did not disappoint. The weather was warm and sunny most days. Occasionally, onshore breezes made lounging by the pool a better choice than the beach. But it wasn't snowing! The staff were great -- warm and welcoming, cheerful and helpful. It was plentiful at the buffet, and the several varieties of paella were a personal favourite. Two specialty restaurants -- Cubano and Italiano -- provided delicious meals and more great staff. In fact, at Cubano, all the staff joined us for a selfie to celebrate the meal. I enjoy Cristal and Bucanero, and was pleased to see a traditional Canadian beer -- Moosehead -- in our room mini-bar. We highly recommend hiring a classic car for a trip to the local market. Four of us shared the adventure of a ride in a baby blue Ford convertible for just $5 per person, return. It was one of the highlights of the week. Pullman is a resort we would visit again, and recommend to friends.

Melia Costa Rey: Wonderful solo trip!

The Pullman Collections is an amazing peaceful getaway! This is my 4th visit to the collections and did not disappoint. I came alone this time for a week away. Felt totally safe and had a very relaxing time. Food and drinks were wonderful and all the staff were welcoming as usual. Can’t wait to return to this beautiful resort in December!

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Fantastic Vacation

We stayed at Grand Aston Cayo Paredon March 22-29. The resort is new and absolutely beautiful. Our room had a king bed, a massive walk in shower, a lovely ocean view and a fridge stocked with beer and water. We were in bungalow 9 which is right next to the beach. The beach is soft white sand with lots of shady palm frond structures and recliners. We never had any trouble finding a place to spend the day. Other than the coral (which are easy to spot in the clear wate) , everything is sandy and soft and easy on the feet. There are 4 huge pools as well as a few smaller ones. They were sparkling clean and not overcrowded at all. The cabanas are comfy and relaxing. We found the food to be quite good for Cuba. There was lots of pork, fish, some chicken and beef, potato dishes, rice, beans, pasta, bread, a salad bar, loads of fruit, ice cream, and pastries. For breakfast there were eggs, toast, fruit, yogurt, juice, cereal and various vegetable and potatoes. The food was fresh and cooked properly. We really enjoyed the Cuban sandwiches and churros from the beach bar. My husband loved the coffee at the bars and the blended coffee on the beach. The gardeners brought young coconuts for drinking several times during the week. They ran out of cola for one day, but they had everything else the rest of the week. Lots of rum, beer, pina coladas, juices for mixing, vodka, tequila etc. There were some great live performers and we wished there were more! They were excellent. We were warned to bring toilet paper and toiletries, but they had enough of everything while we were there. The staff were incredibly hardworking and friendly. We tipped in US dollars and Canadian, and that worked fine. We did not exchange any cash. There was wi-if, which worked fine the few times we used it. We didn’t need our travel converter, as the plugs worked fine for our Canadian chargers, cpap machine etc. I would go back now if I could! We went on the snorkelling excursion and the trip to Moron, and loved both of our days away. Cuba is a beautiful country experiencing real hardship, so we tried hard to be kind and to bring some items from home to help. ❤️ 🇨🇺

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Hotel for Kitesurfing fan

Beautiful long beach/ Small hotel to relax for beach lover/ a lot of beach chairs and palapas/ very clean :washrooms and pool and on the site. very good room cleaning room service All hotels in Cayo Coco /Cayo Guillermo have shortages of Wine (red,rosé,white) since a few months,have to buy it at the tienda of the hotel (plan B)

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Great Week!

We travelled here on March 22 2023.It is approx.1hr 15 min from airport.The resort itself is very modern and well kept grounds Beach and staff are 5 star.Rooms are very clean.If you are looking for a small relaxing resort this is the place for you.Everything is very close .We did not ever have a hard time finding a chair by beach or pool.Dining is Cuban fair shortages at times but never left hungry.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Good resort

The rooms, the grounds, the beach, the pool, and the staff were amazing. The food was ok, but it would have been nice to have some soft drinks or juice where water was limited. Everyone does not drink alcohol all the time. Our room was very nice but we had no hot water at all. By day 6, we had hot water from one of the two bathroom sinks. We were dreading taking a shower every day after the beach before dinner.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Disappointed

I usually don’t write reviews but will make an exception for this one. I was very disappointed in this resort mainly for the price I paid. Pros- beautiful resort, clean, friendly staff. Cons- power went out 3 times, lost water in whole resort for a day, no clean towels and had to beg for the ones we got, maids would pick towels off the floor and hang them out on our patio to dry, room not cleaned for 3 days straight, there was hair in our tub from day one and remained there until we went  [... read more]to customer service and asked to have tub cleaned, had to beg for toilet paper, closet didn’t work in room which made it difficult to get into bureau and safe, brand new coffee machine in rooms but no coffee pods, food was very limited, no fruit, butter, pasta, bread periodically and what food was there was cold no matter if you were the first ones there, no white wine, beach was the worst I was ever on, no beach buffet which was advertised in brochure, entertainment terrible, the girl dancers looked like they didn’t want to be there, animators spent most of their time partying with there friends rather than try to keep guests entertained and who does Zumba at 5 pm

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Just OK

The beach is beautiful, although if you are not there by 730am, you will not get a spot, the pool is great too but same issue with spots, 730 everything is taken...noticed that people actually had reserved signs on the chairs and sometimes the chairs and huts never got used all day, very annoying...No sheets on the bed and when i asked the maid, she just said "no sheets"...we slept with the filty brown blankets from the closet all week...Food was ok but exactly the same every day...no make your  [... read more]own pasta and no white wine the whole week I was there. Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Great place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary

The hotel was beautiful. Room was exactly what we were hoping for perfect view!!! The service throughout the hotel was excellent especially my friend who cleaned our room smiles everyday. I would love to return to this hotel providing they changed the food.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Disappointed travellers!

Travelled in January 2023! My first poor review of any hotel in Cuba! This hotel lacks basic hygiene and bare necessities! No running water for 5 out of our 7 day stay. Only hot scorching water! No functional toilet either until our second last day! Bedding stinks and dirty! Front desk seemed overwhelmed with the lineup of customers complaining, customer service takes notes- that’s about it! Gran Muthu Imperial: Nice Quiet Vacation Spot

Staff was very nice and always willing to give a hand. For the price, this place is awesome! Only minus was the room needed a bit of cleaning; the bedspread was not clean and there was only one bed sheet. All good, after asking, we got a second bedsheet and we put away the bedspread. Weather was nice, turned out we didn’t need it. Food wise, we always found something we liked at the buffet. COVID wise, there was no use of masks at the resort or in the bus to and from the airport bu [... read more]t that’s seems to be inline with what’s being done everywhere else. We brought our own hand sanitizer and used it whenever it was needed. We did a. one day trip of off the resort. The rhum, cigar and sugar tour was worth every penny of it!

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Needs a lot of work

upon our arrival we had no top sheet or comforter on our bed we had to use our towels in place of sheets. Ernesto told us it was a delivery problem but the same thing happened the next night and we had to have a fight in order to get sheets and we made the bed ourselves. No spoons at the resort so if you were having soup or ice cream you were out of luck. I was disappointed that no wine was served with our meals except at the Portugal a la carte. Most of the staff were very pleasant but were really overworked and then others had no smiles or even a good morning. Definitely will not be returning to this resort.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Relaxing holiday

The hotel was very clean and the grounds were well kept. We brought our own hot sauce and peanut butter .The food was good .Every day there was a choice of beef, chicken,pork and fish as well as desserts and fruit. The staff were very accommodating . I didn't realize how far we were from everything though. We also ran into wind and rain for 3 days. Therefore swimming at the beach was impossible. I know you can't do anything about the weather. This was my 4th trip to Cuba.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Our 2nd home

We’ve been here about 8 times now. Glad there was only a few people brainwashed enough to still wear a mask. That’s why I haven’t travelled in 3 years. Staff were amazing as always with what they have to work with. I don’t dwell on the lil things they might run out of 1st time ever in all of my Cuba trips there was no spearmint leaves at all for Mojitos. Tried all 5 alacart restaurants and enjoyed it. Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Experience

Resort accommodation was very modern and very clean. But there was a shortage of bath, hand and face towel. Also the grounds were well kept. As for service in the restaurant must be improved. There was a shortage of cutlery and napkins in the restaurants. Also no wine service either. Very unorganized in the main buffet area along with not enough food selections. The entertainment could be better and in a deferent area from the main lobby bar section. If there were to improve in these areas then yes I would highly recommend this resort.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

We just spent two weeks at this amazing resort and were impressed with everything about it. The facilities were excellent and well maintained. The beach was good, although there are some rocks in the water. The food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a good time while there.
