Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Very nice resort

Grounds were beautiful. Gardeners do a fantastic job keeping it trimmed and clean. Rooms were great. Could be a little cleaner. Maybe a bit of an update on decor. Dining area was good. Waiters were always very attentive and pleasant. Food choice could have been better. The bar did not have a whole lot of choice. Very limited on mix for drinks. Ran out of beer for at one point. This resort would be nothing if it weren’t for the staff working here. They deserve the credit for our enjoyable gate [... read more]way. They made the best with what they had. Have to mention that the bar tenders at the beach were not very energetic. We stood and waiting long periods of time for service. They had only one tending to bar. So when they were getting drink orders on the beach no one was at bar.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Lovely time

We enjoyed our time at the Esmeralda, the staff was lovely, they made a cake for my husband’s birthday and we’re so very kind and helpful. There were a few small issues that were quickly resolved. We enjoyed our Cuban night meal the most. The food was lovely, despite the challenges of supplies. I wouldn’t rate this as a North American 5 star but a solid 3.5which was lovely.

Iberostar Selection Holguin: amazing resort

Iberostar holguin is a resort we would definitely love to return to. Very clean and beautiful landscaping with a wonderful staff. Buffet was organized and food was good . Loved the small beach area close to the buildings perfect for children because of the shallow water and across the short bridge to the main beach is a nice walk for those who like to take short walks. The shuttle carts are also available for a ride across. The water is as beautiful as i have seen. I would love to visit again.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Highly Overated Hotel

Let me start with the positive, the staff and folks there were really nice, kind, and attentive to us and especially our children. The hotel was dark and old, really old. When we got to the beach on the first day it was covered in broken glass, big rocks, and discarded cups everywhere. The lunch bus food was cold, guys seemed stressed and not happy at all, fries consistently undercooked, jerk cold, burgers precooked and mushy. Our room was dirty there were cut fingernails everywhere, the toi [... read more]let was broken, the tub didn't drain, the toilet was busted and the toilet above us leaked and dripped on you while you were on the toilet, the veranda door was broken and did not lock and the couch was disgusting which had gosh knows what on it. The grounds were neat and nice. The pools and lazy river were falling apart, and dirty. Broken tiles everywhere. Out of the 3 times we got room service it showed up once. This was NOT worth the money we paid, even having access to the Iberostar Beach which in the end was a much nicer place. The food was okay, but not like my last stay at the Bahia Principe grand Jamaica. I wouldn't return to the Iberostar Selection Suites I honestly believe the reviews for this property are stuffed online.

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Great resort, amazing staff

Overall, the resort was great as masks were used by staff everywhere. Buffet was changed in that the staff was responsible for serving guests at the various stations to avoid multiple contact with serving utensils. Eventhough we were told the hotel was fully booked we never felt crowded at the beach or by the pool. The staff were very friendly and did what they could to accommodate guests.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing Staff!

I stayed at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach property in Montego Bay Jamaica during April 2022. While the facilities themselves (mainly the rooms) could use a bit of an upgrade I could not have more positive things to say about the staff at this hotel. We traveled for a girls trip and had the most exceptional experience thanks to the staff. One of our biggest shoutouts has to go to Oneil and Akeem who work the night shift at the front desk. They went above and beyond to help us feel safe and sec [... read more]ure each night (providing us with security to escort us to and from our room overnight, etc.). They were patient, gracious, kind and endearing - all qualities that made us feel comfortable and safe which was of utmost priority to us. We did experience a slight mechanical issue with our AC in the middle of the night and Oneil was able to find us a maintenance staff member (one who I regret I did not get the name of) who again, went above and beyond, back and forth in the middle of the night determined to ensure we were happy and comfortable. The bar staff throughout the resort was overall very helpful, friendly, and entertaining. I only wish that all of the guests would recognize that the bartenders were human beings as well and treat them as such. But, between entitled guests and crazy crowds all of the bar staff provided each and every guest service with a smile and made us feel completely entertained and taken care of. Our drinks were refilled without even asking, they learned our names, and made specialty cocktails to suit our tastes! Special shout out to the bartenders who work at the pool: Oshane, Andrew, Kerrando, Roshane, Allistair and more who I am surely forgetting on account of what a good time we were having! We were met with quite a bit of rain (liquid sunshine) during our trip but that did not stop any of the bar/entertainment staff from ensuring everyone enjoyed their stay. We especially want to thank Zugu, Pierre and Lettuce for showing us a good time no matter what the weather had in store for us! Finally, Tasiana of guest services and Percy a taxi driver for the hotel - you both provided me with such amazing service for all of our special requests/needs and I will never forget your absolute kindness. It left a lasting impression on me and I will certainly recommend Iberostar Rose Hall Beach to anyone who is interested in the property. Other notes: The food was good at the buffet, download the app so you can see what types of themed nights are planned to plan for your other reservations accordingly. Drink service could be faster. Restaurant reservation process could be made a bit fairer, some guests booked ahead via email, some did not know this was an option. To be fair, everyone should just book once they are at the hotel. We went to the spa at the Suites property, great facility, they told us to leave our hotel at 10:25 for a 10:30 appointment, by the time we got a shuttle, filled out the forms and got into the massage room it was 10:40, so they cut our service by 10 min. Be early for your appointments, or get clarity on the timing. Staff at the Fiction nightclub for guests only hosted on the Suites property were also fantastic! We couldn't see their names clearly but they were beyond nice, again, treating your bartenders well is just basic human decency. I hate to emphasize that tipping gets you good service because actually, everyone in Jamaica will treat you well regardless of whether you tip or not, you should however tip to show your appreciation in addition to being a polite and gracious guest! Say thank you and tip generously, it's the least you can do :).

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Disappointing

I don't understand how this is rated so high. It was not a great experience going there for a full week. - food options limited, bland and disappointing - drinks were fine but alcohol was watered down - rooms were dated, we had 2 rooms but A/C only worked in one - cockroach found in one room - service was very spotting. Our room service did the best to keep the dated rooms clean, some of the servers at the restaurant were fantastic. Otherwise if you didn't speak Spanish you were left to f [... read more]end for yourself We spoked with 3 couples that were there from Canada as well, no one said they would return and all echoed our previous complaints. Would not go back and don't waste your money.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Great resort

Enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were lovely. Beach was soft white and went on forever. Staff was fabulous. Food was good for Cuba. Pastries were fantastic. Cigar lounge was fun. All in all a great trip. (tends to be windy here so be prepared)

Hotel Bella Costa: Great location

The hotel needs updating but the location and people are great. Food was better then some cuba resorts we have been at. The grounds are clean and the beach is amazing. Rooms definitely need to be renovated but did not spoil our trip after all we were only in our room to sleep. Overall I would recommend this resort but keep in mind this is Cuba not Dominican or Mexico. Thank you to everyone who made our stay enjoyable.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Overall good stay

Just got back from our trip- highlight of our stay is the beach, immagine best beach ever and this one is better! Great service at the beach getting lounge chairs, drinks. Starfish sighting, snorkeling galore. Resort is outdated with minimal maintenance, you can see the resort and the country is recovering from shit downs, from training of personel to food options. Lack of food or choices of food was the biggest shocker for us. We been to Cuba a different resort many times one never goes there f [... read more]or good food. However basic fruit like mangos, bananas were missing. Limited quantities of deserts that were gone immediately. No fancy drinks, even things like white soda and sugary Pina colada were not there everyday. Eventually you get used to it and fresh fish (only 1 option) and rice were our go to. Once again shortages function of recovery. Report was clean - rooms were kept well. We could not get beach towels for 3 days (good thing we brought a few) as they were always iut of them. We would be back,

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Great resort!

Small beautiful resort ! Very nice beach . Impressive team from the gardener, servers up to general manager ( I met her at 6 am on the beach organizing beach chairs supplies when the hotel was full occupied) Excellent food and patisserie. I would return in a heartbeat!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Iberostar Lindo

The hotel grounds was great. Rooms were all close to main pool, wave pool, lazy river and the water park. The rooms were outdated and wished there were more options. Food was great but wished they had more options for kids. The entertainment crew was good for both kids and adults. If you like your rooms to be cold, need to ask hotel to override the AC controls. Set at 22 degrees C. Overall, great resort and lots to do but rooms needs to be updated.

Iberostar Coral Holguin: Amazing adults only side

We really loved the coral level of the iberostar holguin it was very clean and quiet great staff not so much when we visited the family part of the resort they had the ala carte and all the entertainment I would not recommend sending families there right now at this point we needed to use the washrooms there they were so dirty and that side was full of cuban people it’s like they don’t respect the hotel as well I met several people staying at our side of the hotel that have stayed at the n [... read more]eighbouring two hotels im holguin who were there in January for over 20 times and have said they were never go back there I think it’s a real big problem with letting them use there hotels there getting really run down now my husband met a man on the plane that stayed at playa pesquero resort the same week and said it was so bad there were feces in the pool I use to love that resort too all of u should be aware of what really going on there and not send people to there resorts if the situation remands like that I’m just so thankful that I picked the coral level otherwise this review would certainly reflect that I love cuba and I would hate to not go back there again but I’m hearing so much negative lately that I’ll probably be looking at other places to go from now on that’s sad to me I hope the resorts go back to how they were before this is a very honest review but it’s the truth what’s happening there thank you Marion Mallaley

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Iberostar Selection Holguin

This was the first tropical trip my wife and I took since being married. This resort was more than we expected. The food, the beaches, the pool, the staff, and the entertainment was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back next year.

Hotel Bella Costa: Miserable experience

First time in a Iberostar resort who didn’t pay attention to the needs of the clients. From no towels in the room from first day to the 5 day. Most of the days had to have my key reprogram several times. The constant lies from costumer relations managers saying they go fix and never happened. No phone on my third room. The comments on Spanish about me was not pleasant. Only stopped when they realize I was aware what they was saying. Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Not quite 5-star yet!

In terms of Covid, there were no issues and we were quite impressed that all staff, even the gardner working on his own, was masked at all times. They were more strict than we are in Ontario. In terms of the resort, being brand new, everything was nice and shiny but some construction mistakes or issues were seen after a bit of rain (flooding). Heard of some water problems and plumbing problems in some rooms, but we had none. Pool was disappointing as it grew algae every day and was very [... read more] small. The beach was typical for Cuba and why we go there, but was very unkept for a 5-star. Seaweed was raked but left in big piles you had to jump over to get to the ocean. Food was very good but the same every day and no fruit, shrimp, lobster, or black tea.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Fantastic Staff, Beach and Pools!

Our trip to Cayo Coco this April 2022 was great, staff all wear masks, guests are only asked to wear them around the buffets. Anybody planning to go to Cayo Coco for a family vacation, I would recommend!

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Loved the resort

We absolutely loved the resort. What we liked was the big open spaces, the open buffet and the whole layout The staff were always extremely helpful, the rooms were clean and well laid out and we would certainly go there again Our one criticism was the entertainment. There was no variety and it was so loud we went down to the beach area to avoid it

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Great Place to Stay :)

Iberostar Grand Bavaro, for us, has been one of the best all inclusive Caribbean experiences in the recent years. The hotel is clean and is being continuously cleaned by staff members. Hand sanitizers are everywhere. Staff wearing masks at almost all times to ensure guests safety. The rooms are cleaned more than once a day. Rooms are modern and spacious. The food is consistently good. From the buffet experience (be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner) to the speciality restaurants, the food that is b [... read more]eing served is versatile and of good quality. We could not have asked for a better experience and if we come back to Punta Cana, Ibersator Grand Bavaro will still be our number 1 choice for the stay. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: The Best Resort

My husband & I have been to Cuba annually since 2015. With exception for the past 2 years. Of all the hotels we have visited, Iberostar is the best by far. Such a quaint resort and close to all amenities. Staff is awesome and accomodating. Food is plentiful. Must try the grilled Lobster. Highly recommend visiting Playa Pilar. Will definetly be coming back.
