Grounds cleAn well kept again beautiful .Food ...room for inprovement .Plan on going back . People we dealt with were curtious an friendly .Enjoyed the compact of the resort not running around for hours to find whats needed its all there .Really enjoyed it .Would an will recomment to friends.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Great service....

The hotel staff is way above exceptional! This quaint little space is within easy walking distance to the beach. The food is ok... nothing special...if I wasn't paying for all inclusive I would have eaten elsewhere.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: 4th visit and would return for more

Excellent entertainment, food and hospitality! Every person working at the resort seems genuinely enthusiastic and it was an absolute pleasure once again! Very clean, food was amazing at Castaways and Capers as well as the buffet and room was so comfortable. Live music in the lobby was the most enjoyable way to finish off the day 👍🏽

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Very enjoyable

Resort was a different concept than we are used to. With the 6 separate buildings like little villages self contained. We were surprised that the rooms didn’t have a fridge. The sign up system for special a la carte restaurants was a challenge There was a large group from Quebec there who were very loud and inconsiderate. The food was good and Staff very good

Riu Flamingos: Great resort

I loved this resort . I have stayed there several times. I like the fact that it is an easy walk to the beach . There is lots of shade and beach chairs . The staff are amazing. The Italian restaurant was not as good this time... salad bar was empty, chicken was burnt, not as good a selection ..., but the Japanese restaurant was wonderful. We had a great time!

Krystal Puerto Vallarta: Great times

My husband and I had a great vacation at Krystal resort in Puerto Vallarta. We were greeted first off with s smile and helped to our room after check in. Clean modern room and amazing view of the ocean. Resort not too big with lots of old Mexico charm. Very welcoming. Food tasty however not a huge variety. Best bar service at the beach bar.

Hilton Vallarta Riviera Resort: Consistently great experience

We have visited this hotel twice in the past three years, and this experience was even better than the first. The food was just as great, but this time no reservations were required for the sit-down restaurants (we never waited for a table, although I heard things had been a bit busier before we arrived). The rooms are quite nice - comfortable beds, well-stocked (and included) mini-bar, and EXCELLENT wifi. The beach and pools are excellent. I don't know if it was an especially quiet week (early February), but this was great to see becuase I personally hate having to go down to the pool early to claim a spot.

Ground while kept. Food very Mexican which I enjoyed. Pool was clean. Rooms very basic but clean. A/C worked. Had hot water in the shower. Drinks good. Short walk to the beach not a problem. I enjoyed this place. Staff very friendly and helpful. I would return. I like smaller hotel as to the larger resorts.

Riu Flamingos: Had a great time.

We just got back from a week at the Riu Jalisco. This was our third time to this particular Resort and the first time since it had been renovated. The last several times we've been to Nayarit, we've stayed at the Riu Vallarta and were a little hesitant to come back to the Jalisco after reading some of the reviews. I usually take reviews with a grain of salt as I realize there is always going to be someone that just can't be pleased, but we made the right choice. I was very pleased with our  [... read more]stay. Check in went smoothly. I can't say I'm a fan of the purply modern décor in the lobby but that's a matter of taste. One thing that was a pleasant surprise is that WIFI is available - for free - throughout the entire resort and in your room for up to two devices. We even had a good signal on the beach. This is not the case at the Vallarta so this was very nice. Our room had been renovated and while there still isn't a "door" to the bathroom area (except for the toilet), they have added a glass block partition. This may not be perfect if sharing the room with someone you are not comfortable changing in front of but worked fine for us. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable (although it looks like not all of the beds have been upgraded as we had friends on another floor and they still had the two doubles pushed together to make a king) and the air conditioning worked fine. The cleaning staff did a great job and our beer fridge was restocked regularly. The only "complaint" I can think of is that our room was on the 6th floor at the other end of the building from the elevators which meant a hike, but close to the stairs so we ended up getting our "steps" in on a daily basis whether we liked it or not! Elevators are located in the middle of the building only so if you have mobility issues, ask for a room close to the elevators. The food was excellent and if you can't find something to eat, you may be way too fussy. We ate at the buffet everyday for breakfast and a couple of times for dinner. We also tried the Steakhouse and the Italian and Asian restaurants. We were a group of 10 and the longest we ever had to wait to get in to one of the a la Carts was about half an hour. I've waited longer, for a smaller group, back home. The wait time always ended up being less then what they told us it would be. The pool area and beach area were both clean and had plenty of chairs. We sometimes didn't make it down until after 9 or 10 and were still able to find chairs which was not ever the case at the Vallarta. We did take our group over to the Vallarta (as you are allowed to use their pool too), so they could compare and we actually liked the pool area at the Jalisco better as it felt more spread out and less crowded. Only difference here is that they don't have bar service. You have to get your own drinks at the pool bar but the staff there works hard to keep every one happy. There were some complaints about kids in the adult pool at the Jalisco but honestly when we went to visit to Vallarta, we saw several kids in the adult pool there too. I would like to say though, if you insist on taking your kids into the adult pool - WATCH THEM! It's not up to others to keep an eye on your kids while you party. Even if they have a lifejacket on. There are lifeguards but they can only watch so many at a time. I could not believe how many parents are not in the pool with their kids but instead on a lounger on their phone or reading a book. The entertainment staff in the pool area was excellent and the Saturday Foam Party was a huge hit even if it did attract more kids then usual. And the occasional iguana jumping in the pool to cool off was fun to watch. All in all, we were pleased with this resort for what we paid. Taking a quick survey on the bus to the airport when we were leaving, it seems like most people were happy with it. Again, you can't please everyone and we aren't super fussy but we were quite satisfied.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Another Great Vacation

We just returned from our third stay at the Royal Decameron Complex in beautiful Bucerias. We travelled with family and friends. The resort is a complex of six building blocks. I requested block 6 as it is the furthest away from the main part of the resort and therefore quieter and although there is a bar closeby, we have never been disturbed by excessive noise. Our room, 6224 had a king bed, couch, table and chairs, TV with cabinet for storage, nighttables with drawers, a good sized closet with [... read more] safe, 3 piece bathroom (shower only). The bed was VERY firm but I was able to sleep comfortably. Others might consider it too hard. There is no fridge in the room but one can be requested (not sure if there is an extra charge). Bottled water was provided and bottles could be refilled at the bar. There is a store at the resort and the supermarket is within walking distance for extra water, snacks, etc. There are two large buffet style restaurants as well as specialty restaurants which have to be reserved in advance. We ate at the Japanese restaurant which was good and also the Brazilian which was ok but not my favourite as I don't eat a lot of red meat. The food at the buffet was plentiful with lots of choices. The staff were friendly and always pleasant. There were a total of five pools and lounge chairs were plentiful. We didn't spend a lot of time sitting at the pool as we always had plans with friends and family. The beach was well maintained and chairs were plentiful. Some guests brought blow up mattresses for the plastic chairs as they would be uncomfortable to lie on for long periods of time. I didn't do a lot of sitting as I like to be active and took advantage of the many walking paths. There is a gym with cardio equipment and weights and a spa. I had a lovely facial and friends had massages. The spa services are not included but are reasonably priced and there are specials during the week such as a couples massage. There are activities at the pool during the day and I did some pottery painting which was enjoyable. This was also at an additional cost depending on what you chose to paint. The staff glazed the pottery and corrected any mistakes. I was very pleased with the jewelry box I painted. At night there were theme shows at the theater and also a disco. I watched a few shows which were entertaining but never stayed up for the disco as I was always tired after a full day of activities. We stayed for 9 nights and were sorry our vacation went by so quickly. Can't wait to return next year!

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Nice resort

Staff, beach and pools were great. Food for the most part awful. Usually cold and low quality products. Service was generally good. Evening shows were terrible. Just a bunch of folks on stage dancing to the nights theme. I would not recommend this resort and will not return.

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Wasn't happy.

Amazing beach, understaffed, small rooms, public bathrooms extremely small stalls, beach & poolside activities fairly good.Juan was awesome for activities.had to pay for wifi. Asked to speak to the manager & was given excuse after excuse why I couldn't. Would not recommend or return to this hotel.

Riu Flamingos: great resort

food was great, shows were good we thought 2 of the shows were fantastic!! would be great to see servers go around the pool area with cocktails. Very nice to be able to go to the Riu Vallarta to swim and have lunch. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Villas Vallarta by Canto del Sol: Great location, even greater staff!

We wanted a low-key week to relax and found it here. Close enough to small shops or a short taxi ride to downtown made it a good location. Everything was handy, with a smaller pool and restaurant than the main building, which suited us just fine. Upgrades to the very clean rooms are really nice, staff was EXCELLENT, and the daily entertainment was great. Because Villas Vallarta is just across a quiet street from Canto del Sol, we could go there for more activity if we wanted or to have access t [... read more]o the beach.

Canto Del Sol: Love this resort

Stayed at Canto del Sol from February 1st - February 8th Sunwing flight delay both ways 2 hours, but that was not a surprise almost expect it with Sunwing, besides that the resort is fantastic the staff also fantastic, love every minute of our stay from walks along the beach to shopping just right outside our Resort a taxi cab to the malecon ranges between 8 US Dollars and 10. This was our second time staying at Canto Del Sol the first time was across the street at the Villas this time at Canto [... read more] Del Sol Plaza, we definitely enjoyed the plaza more the meals were all very enjoyable with plenty enough to choose from. The pool was heated which was great because there's always a breeze coming off the ocean one little irritating issue was that the swim up bar was closed most of the day which meant you had to get out of the pool and walk around to the other side to be served although quite often you could order from a waiter that was walking by, Victor 1 and Victor 2 where the waiters that served us most times in the evenings and are fantastic. Can't say enough good things about the staff they were all so accommodating and lovely and sad to see us go. Beware when checking in the front desk will send you directly across to pick up your towel cards and your free gift this person will also try to talk you into going to the timeshare meeting they will not take no for an answer and I finally had to just walk away! Beside that we will definitely return one of our favorite resorts along with loving Puerto Vallarta.

Riu Flamingos: Relax and enjoy

Wonderful trip. Flights were on time and the resort was well run. Friendly staff and clean rooms. We would stay at the Riu again. Three different restaurants to choose from. The Asian restaurant was the best kept secret.

This hotel is Canadians home away from home. Many people return again and again for this reason. The staff are amazing and the resort is large enough not to feel crowded and yet it doesn't feel huge. I love it here and will return, just like many others.

the royal Decameron is good value for the price. Our only complaint is the beds and pillows are too hard. The staff are fantastic and friendly. We have been to Royal Decameron Complex five times and would return again.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Reflect Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta

We were so pleased with our resort. After reading some negative reviews we were tempted to look elsewhere but so glad we kept our reservation. Our room was a standard room, small but had everything we needed including clean towels everyday. Any concerns were handled politely and immediately.The bathroom had just been renovated -very modern shower. AC worked and it was quiet. The grounds were beautiful, the restaurants had gourmet meals and the buffet prepared delicious meals. Really liked not  [... read more]having to make reservations. I have celiac and could not believe how attentive the waiters and the head chef was ensuring that I too could enjoy tasty food. The salmon was simply delicious and I was able to indulge in some GF desserts. I would recommend this place for all you fellow celiacs. My husband is picky and he found more than enough tasty food. The COCO Cafe is perfect- open 24hours. Oh yes! The Sky Bar was so peaceful- a secret place. The beach was extensive with our only complaint of not having enough chairs.The three pools were lovely and I enjoyed the water aerobics as well taking Spanish lessons. A shout-out to Guillermo(sp) (William) with organizing entertainment - the Mexican Dancers Nite was excellent, the live band as well especially when some locals got into salsa dancing- so much fun! Beach party nite and karaoke nite were a hit too. We did no excursions as we have been in this area before but we did walk to Bucerias both on the beach as well as the walkway.Thank you, Manuela, for finding this resort.
