Grand Riviera Princess: Great for family

Where to begin... This is a family resort, so if you're looking for a party resort, hmm maybe you should keep looking. It's a big resort. Get ready to walk. Alot. Beach and pools are quite far from all buildings, except the private villas. Main lobby is the central point of the hotel. All A La Carte restaurants, sports bar, disco, shops, spa, gym and entertainment/shows are located in the main building. Which is good if you're staying in the closer rooms, bad if you're staying in the far buildin [... read more]gs since its abit of a far walk. Look out for the wildlife. Kodis (raccoon/monkey lookin animals) roam trough out the resort. Even by the pools, trying to steal Ur food or belongings and going through the garbage bins. At night, if someone leaves room service plates outside their rooms, expect a mess in the morning. Rooms are clean enough. Only complaint was the doors don't have the small chain to lock the doors. And the peep holes are really high on the door. Cleaner cleans Ur rooms as requested. Clean Towels are always on hand. Doesn't hurt to tip for that extra detail to have Ur room smell nicer. Went for a wedding, however it was not held at the resort. What we did see, was a wedding dinner being held in the buffet, along with strangers looking at the wedding group like "why don't you have your own private area?", good luck if you're planning a wedding there. Idk whos idea that was but I wouldn't wanna share my wedding with 100 strangers not invited. Anyhow, overall, stay was good. Food was alright. At least the sports bar is open 24/7 and make a good panini. The a la Carte restaurant Miso Teppanyaki is phenomenal. What a show and great food. We travelled with someone allergic to nuts, Concierge wrote up a letter to show the chefs requesting separate cooking tools be used if menu had any traces of nuts. That I found excellent thinking and greatly appreciated the Concierge for that. Playa is a $18USD taxi ride to 5th Ave. If you walk a block up, grab a taxi back, haggle em down to $10USD. One major suggestion when going to 5th Ave to shop, TURN YOUR BRACELETS INSIDE OUT!! vendors are ruthless and very aggressive. They will say stuff like "hey amigo, remember me your pool bar bartender from the">insert resort name

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Gran Bahia Coba. Great resort !

This past trip was our twenty second visit to the Coba. The staff are always friendly and helpfull. As for the resort in general it is beautifully kept, the gardens, the pool areas, the resturants and buffett's are great and you have the option to eat and visit in some of the other hotels in the resort. The front lobbies in all of the hotels are built in the Mayan style with huge palapa roofs, well worth the time to sit back in a chair and admire the workmanship it took to build them. As a c [... read more]ouple of seniors we have found all of the hotels in the resort, and also in the surounding areas to be very safe, which is very impotant for us. The junior suites are large and comfortable and are cleaned and restocked each day to a very high standard.The Coba is not on the beach front, if you want beach front then try the Tulum or the Akumal, all great hotels. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Our Favourite Resort!

This was our second visit to Sian Ka'an, from late October till early November 2017 and I think we enjoyed it even more than the first time one year earlier. The resort setting has a jungle feel to it and is gorgeous. Our junior suite was spacious and very modern and the beds were firm but comfortable. Our second floor balcony wasn't very deep, giving an almost crowded feel. But that didn't stop us from enjoying it every afternoon before getting ready for dinner. There is a good selection and unlike many resorts we've been to most of the cooked items were at least warm if not hot. We visited the Japanese a la carte at Sian Ka'an and three other a la cartes at the three other Bahia Principe properties. All were very good. Service was good at all the restaurants and bars and the staff are very friendly. Being able to take advantage of the facilities of all four properties is a definite bonus. The beach, shared by the four resorts, must be at least a couple of kilometres long, with golden sand and several protected stretches suitable for children. Sian Ka'an has its own exclusive section (adults only, of course) with ample chaises under palapas and its own beach bar which rarely had a lineup unlike some of the other bars along the beach. It is hard to come up with many negatives. The drive from the airport was quite long (about 90 minutes) but was certainly worth it. The return to Cancun aboard a smaller minibus was much quicker, about 65 minutes. It was a great ten days and I am sure we will return to Sian Ka'an!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Wonderful resort!

We had a great week at the Roylaton (Hideway-Adult section). The staff was very polite, friendly and helpful. Christian our butler made sure our needs were met. Our room was spacious, modern and overlooked the ocean. The bed was very comfortable! Room service was efficient. The food was very good and well presented. We enjoyed our afternoon cappuccino at the coffee shop. Maricella always served us with a smile. Wonderful resort where the staff is friendly and accommodating. Canto Del Sol: AMAZING!!! All Around!!!

So much I would love to say about the resort...lovely workers all around. Always willing to go the extra mile for you. The food was good, the only thing that was repetitive was the buffet, thankfully there was other choices. The staff by the pool we so AMAZING!!! The rooms, front lobby, pool side etc where always getting cleaned. This resort will be our yearly destination we loved it that much. Riu Palace Mexico: Great resort

Well kept hotel and grounds, excellent staff and service. Amazing beach, lots of palm trees for shade and beach service was excellent. Food was very good, breakfast and lunch buffet style. Five a la carte restaurants for dinners no reservations required, just show up. All were very good with lots of choices, decent wine and excellent service.

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Didn't meet expectations!

We expected much more for the 4 stars hotel. Our stay was 10 days. The bed sheets were not changed ( our friends had the same complain), it looks that there was a problem with the towels too. Coffee for the coffee machine in the room wasn't provided every day. Floor was washed only when we asked to do it. Food was good, but the staff was short of people. The grounds and the swimming pools were clean, but we didn't like kids with diapers in the swimming pools. There should be rules about it! [... read more]!!!! Internet in the room was available for 45US $. No complains about the sun, the ocean and the weather. Everything was spectacular! '

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Fantastic resort

The Hideaway at Royalton is fantastic. Great food! Great rooms! Great service! The staff is always pleasant and helpful-always a pleasure to serve their clients -- "es un placer" is what they all say. It is a beautiful resort.

Barcelo Maya Palace: WOW!

Went for a destination wedding, which was well managed by the wedding coordinator. Rooms were great and clean, didn’t have a bad dining experience and so many restaurant options. The entire facility was well maintained. Would definitely go back!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Had a Great Time as Usual

We have visited this resort over 15 times. Still great value. Management has been listening to requests. Most notably, drink glasses are much larger. Talked to management, and soon wifi will be available throughout the resort instead of just designated areas. The buffets have a bit too much Mexican cuisine, yet understandable as there are many Mexican guests at the resort. Booking a-la-cart restaurants is still an issue. Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Amazing experience

The staff did an amazing job to keep the grounds neat and tidy, they went out of their way to please the people. The rooms get cleaned everyday and clean towels put in the bathroom. The beach🏖🏄‍♂️🏊‍♂️ was fantasic. The food is fabulous🍍🍌🍆🍦🥂🍹

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Amazing resort

The resort was great. Very attentive staff. Good assortment of food. A la cart restaurants excellent. Especially loved Krystal and Chilli. Animation team very entertaining. Will return. Close to shoping at Playa Del Carmen.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Grand Oasis Cancun

Pros: Very friendly staff throughout the resort, for every restaurant we visited, food was excellent and had a good variety to choose from. The grounds, pools and beach were always kept very clean. Had good entertainment at night. Cons: Bathroom needs major overhaul, very disappointed with bath towels and washcloths as they left a lot to be desired as far as being clean. Hotel is not handicap friendly.

Riu Yucatan: Amazing

We just returned from a 7 day stay in November, this trip was amazing. I've been on many all inclusives and this hotel takes the cake. The hotel is very modern, fresh, great for getting around. we were in block 5 on the third floor and loved out location. Rooms: shower pressure was great, room was large, requested and king and got it. Bar was stocked every other day which was perfect, had the bottles in room as well. There was enough hangers with a big closet and six drawers. Shower door was [... read more] glass, which was ok with us but if you're travelling with someone you would want privacy then request an extra towel to drape over the door. beach: the sand is lovely, plenty of chairs, you are only allowed to pull your chair to a certain part of the beach so it leaves a lot of room for walking, games and just an overall better view. the ocean was wavy all week, some days more. A lot of people brought floaties down to the ocean (from home). Bar is close by for the beach, just up some stairs. pool: there is a main pool area which has music and entertainment every day, these two pools (side by side) have loungers in them. There is a small swim up bar beside the main pools which have built in tables and seats at the bar and at the edge of the pool. there is also a quiet pool up by the lobby which we didn't go to but it looked lovely. restaurants: we tried the steak house and loved it, the Japanese and loved it and the buffet. you need reservations for the Mexican so we didn't make it there. there is also an Italian restaurant for lunch and dinner but we didn't make it there either. the other two (steak & Japanese) you show up and are seated when there is a table available. we never had to wait but I did hear of people waiting - in that case go to the bar (we saw them giving out buzzers so you know when your table is ready) the buffet had such a great selection. breakfast and dinner is in the main lobby. lunch is at margarita (beside the pools - this is also where the Mexican and Steak House restaurants are). food was amazing, amazing! I loved it all! bars: there is a lobby bar which seemed to be open early, there are two bars by the pools - one of which is open until midnight. there is a swim up bar and then a bar that faces the beach. the quiet pool by the lobby looked like it had a bar too. all excellent great service. special mention to Alfredo, he rocks!!!! we walked up the beach to the left (if you're looking at the ocean) it took about an hour and there were Mexican stores, but also Old Navy, Zara - a few others. there are hundreds of Mexican stores for souvenirs. you can also get there by walking through playcar. The hotel is an hour drive from the airport. We did the tulum/xel-ha excursion which was great, we booked through our Sunwing rep at the airport. there is a kids area ... didn't fully check it out but looked good. there are howler monkeys on the resort and I loved watching them... if you leave the lobby go to the right and they are in a little hidden area. the balcony had a built in towel rack which was nice to dry our suits on - makes the hotel look nicer too to not see everyones towels or suits hanging over the balcony. if you're wondering if you should book yucatan DO IT! we will be going back next year 100%!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing Resort

I have to say this resort is amazing! The food was wonderful, the accommodations spotless, and all of the staff were very friendly and genuine. Being away from the beach was not a disadvantage. The trains were almost always waiting and it was fun to see other areas. The food was absolutely delicious. We only had time to try 6 restaurants, but they were all great. My favourite was the Les Coralles Rodizio. I cannot remember our waiter's name, it started with A, but he was the best. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Excellent Experience

This resort was beautiful, with exceptional customer service. No matter where we were on this resort or its sister resorts we felt warm and welcomed. We stayed in the penthouse and it was everything we needed with a large room, mini bar, coffee machine, full windows that open to the outside and a veranda overlooking the jungle. The best thing about this resort is the staff. We loved all of the attention. The pools were large and clean, entertainment was exceptional and food diversified and delicious. We had a wonderful vacation

Iberostar Selection Cancun: Amazing and Beautiful Resort!

When we first got there we walked into the lobby and was amazing by the beautiful tall ceilings and the decorations/flowers. We were then greeted with very refreshing and delicious drinks. We were a bit early (arrived around 1 pm) and checking in is at 3 but we got our rooms anyway. After we got our room keys there was also options to book for dinner as well. The end of the pool was the best as it dropped off making it look like we were at the beach. Staff is very friendly and kind. Always making sure everything was good and that you were good on drinks. Best restaurant would be the steak house as it was the best steak we had ever had. The rib eye was to die for. It was so tender and juicy even when I ordered it Medium. The room service food was not good but the buffet has many options and was good. Hotel area was always clean and there were workers always present anf making sure everything was up to standard. There were shows everynight by Star Friends. They were amazing and very entertaining. They were also around during the day doing activites as well. David from Star Friends was very helpful and very friendly. Had a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great place. Great food. Environmentally responsible.

We stayed October 31, 2017 for 7 days. Overall great resort. The good: The food was excellent especially at the à la carts. No complaints whatsoever. Buffets were good but typical buffet style. The restaurants had allergies listed for the majority of the food which is great for people with sensitivities or allergies. My fiancé is Celiac (gluten allergy) and never had any problem finding food to eat and they even offered to specially prepare stuff for her. The resort is very environmentally conscious, for example they use reusable plastic cups instead of throwaway plastic cups which always end up littering the beach and pool area’s. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas which for guests with the kids is especially great. Water park is great for kids and teens and there is tons of wildlife on the resort. The bad: The resort is very big and spread out. Be prepared to walk. Was under Construction while we were there so some areas were closed but that was supposed to be finished fairly quickly. The beach was very rocky at the resort there were definitely nicer beaches further down towards Playa Del Carmen
