Everything was wonderful the beach is very nice and spacious, entertaining is amazing surprisingly the buffet was good and the choice of drink menu very good overall highly recommended i would definitely go there again

Riu Ocho Rios: Great time!

We had an amazing time at the Riu Ocho Rios. The hotel staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and the food delicious ? The only complaint we had was it was very difficult to get reservations for the al a carte restaurants. Will definitely come back!

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Disappointing!

I was fortunate to have stayed at this resort 15 years ago when it first opened and was excited to return... The service and food was lacking. It's a line up to get into any of the buffets and an even longer line for a fried egg. Not all of the a la carte/buffets are open daily so it's a guessing game as to which one you'll end up at. The resort app is glitchy but the best way to book a la cartes, note that they book for 3 days in advance right when the window opens or you will miss out. Very  [... read more]difficult to reach any service agents to address a host of issues from lack of toilet paper to being locked out 3 times. We were promised certain amenities upon arrival and they were not recieved. We have had equal and/or better at lessor rated resorts in Montego Bay.

Riu Negril: Awesome hotel

Everything was fresh and new and wonderful and clean. The food was great. The beach was always clean. Only draw back would be the actually location on the bay which makes the water murky sometimes and areas of seagrass, more so than other nearby resorts. But the snorkelling is great there. Highly recommend it. Our tripcentral experience with Luis was great also.

Riu Ocho Rios: First All inclusive

This was the first all inclusive my wife and I have done. We really enjoyed the Rio Ocho Rios food was great resort was great would definitely go back. staff were fantastic and very personable was easy to get figured out where we needed to be.

Ocean Eden Bay: Amazing Resort

The Ocean Eden Bay half of the resort is adult only and you have access to the family friendly side too. We have stayed at resorts where the pictures were great but the reality did not match. This is NOT the case here, the resort is just as beautiful as the pictures or even better! Just as important is the food. The buffet restaurant is quite good, my wife had a fresh amulet made for her every morning. I generally had the jerk sausage, some eggs and granola with yogurt and fruit. There [... read more] was so much we did not try. My wife did take her own tea bags, she likes plain old King Cole tea and everyone seems to provide specialty teas and that is not her thing. Not a big deal at all, but if you like a specific type of tea, pack a few bags. Lunch was similar in that we generally went to the buffet. There is a burger hut by the water park. The burger was good, but I loved there crispy fries. Now on to dinner. There is several restaurants that also available. We ate the Bluemoon Restaurant, Sakura (Oriental) and the Steak House. All were fantastic. Unfortunately the hurricane move/removed a lot of the sand at the beach. We did not swim, it was too rocky, but I did do some snorkeling. The beach is somewhat small, it is limited to the width of the resort as the resort. We did not have any issues getting chairs at the pool, we are early risers so maybe we just got there early enough. We did not make a special effort to get them, we always had breakfast first and then just made our way to the pool. Most of the time we even had loungers that were under the cabanas at the edge to be in the shade. I am not a beer drinker, but the beer choices did seem to be rather limited. Cocktails of all sorts were much more prevalent. I did have to ask to have more soda than rum. They do pour liberally! There is lots of noise on the internet about not using the safe and thefts. We did not have any of that. We did purchase a small personal travel/beach safe for our cash and passports and put that in the safe. We never felt unsafe ever. There is an Air Canada and WestJet desk next to the main lobby. It was easy to get answers, like when to be in the lobby on departure day. As well we used the AC agent to book us some excursions. Paid in CDN and gave us some comfort that the drivers and events were safe and insured. All and all, the best all inclusive resort that I have ever stayed at. My wife has even talked about going back.

Riu Negril: Amazing resort !

The staff and the food was amazing ! The resort is clean and everything is close by ! The service is the Best that I have seen ! Definately a 5 stars ! Walk left and the beach is amazing just pass the beach market , also has a nice beach bar outside the resort ! We took a private transportation for airport and activities where he was taking us to local food and things we wanted to see . I recommand Lees Éminent island tours for the best trip of your Life ! Ya mon

Riu Ocho Rios: Better for families

We were a group of women in their 50s on a girls trip; we found the resort had too many children (not a real complaint as it is a family resort. The only restaurant that we liked was the Italian as we found the others lacking in quality and flavour.

Ocean Coral Spring: Amazing experience

Kateryn assisted us during our trip booking and after. We really appreciate emails from her reminding of next steps as sometimes you can forget things when busy in life. She also recommended us better hotel to stay which we were so thankful. Our stay was amazing didn’t want to come back.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Great time

This hotel is quite big and if I had mobility issues, it would have been tough. Other than that, I would say my biggest complaint was booking the restaurants through the App as it didn’t work for us. The pool is cold and the beach area is okay. If booking an additional service, make sure you get a receipt at the time as they charge it to your room and you have to pay before you leave…they tried to charge us $50 US more than what we agreed to but we argued the charge and wound up paying what w [... read more]e agreed to.

Riu Palace Aquarelle: Riu Palace Aquarelle

When we went to the Riu Palace Aquarelle (Jan 30 - Feb 13), we were not sure what to expect following the re-opening after the hurricane. When we arrived, we saw that was still some visible damage to the property, but nothing to lessen the experience of the resort. We did see that the resorts next door were trashed and will not be open for awhile. The room was spacious and clean with a balcony. The bar fridge was stocked daily and the cleaning staff did an excellent job of cleaning. The bu [... read more]ffet was very good with plenty of options, we were able to find something different almost everyday. The serving crew did a good job attending to your needs. Overall the al-a-carte were just ok at best, the Asian was by far the best of the four. The pools were nice with plenty of chairs and shaded areas. It was never a problem finding a spot. The beach also had shaded areas and plenty of chairs however parts of the beach was washed away from the storm. There was also significant amounts of seaweed that washed ashore, however the grounds crew tried very hard to keep the beach clean The entertainment crew did an great job keeping people busy during the day and the dance shows at night were good. The Michael Jackson tribute show was the best. The only negative about the entertainment was that at times things got a little loud around the pool or at night. Overall all the staff that we met were extremely friendly. I found that it was amazing that some of the staff were able to remember your name after meeting you once. Our expectations were exceeded and would recommend to anyone considering visiting Jamaica to spend their time here. We always like exploring different area/countries, however this is one that we would return to in the future.

Ocean Eden Bay: Loved our vacay!

We enjoyed everything about the resort. Staff are super friendly, helpful and really go out of their way to make sure that you have a wonderful stay. Great variety of food & entertainment. Beds are comfortable and rooms are cleaned and stocked daily. Pool and lazy river are cool, but refreshing. The beach is definitely small, and quite rocky. We couldn’t really lounge there because it was windy everyday. Not sure if that’s the norm. The only suggestion I have is that they stop, or at least cut b [... read more]ack on the games and chatter around the pool all afternoon. It becomes annoying. Just play reggae music, relaxing music, or even have quiet time.

Riu Ocho Rios: Pleasantly surprised

My experience at the Riu (Ochi Rios) was amazing. The staff were wonderful, the food was awesome and the cleanliness was top notch (staff was CONSTANTLY cleaning). We were at this resort for Super-bowl Sunday and what an event they gave us .. Thank you to all the staff for making this an awesome event. My ONLY suggestion would be to have the seaweed cleaned up a little better on the beach.

Riu Palace Aquarelle: Beautiful resort!

This is such a beautiful resort, the grounds and views are breathtaking. Our room was beautiful, we had a great view of the ocean. Bathroom was fully stocked with everything you need, including full size shampoo and conditioner, body soap and lotion. The mini fridge was restocked daily. The TV was a little confusing to use. They work hard and put so much effort into a perfect performance. They even have thier very own Mrs. Rachel lol Riuland. We played bingo every night. The host the first few days was absolutely hilarious. The waiters/servers were friendly. I did find some of them to be tip hungry but that was only a few of them. The bartenders were great and made amazing drinks. They are definitely not shy with the alcohol haha. The buffet was absolutely amazing. They definitely know how to cook, with new varietals everyday. I did find booking with the restaurants a bit hard as they open reservations at midnight the day before. I managed to get a booking at the steakhouse but I never received an email confirmation therefore we weren't able to go. The next day I got a survey asking how the dinner was, so I clearly booked it. The pools were nice but cold, not heated at all. It didn't help that we went the week of the cold front and it was already cold outside so getting into the pool was hard already. They play lots of games for adults and kids to. The beach was beautiful. There was lots of seaweed when we arrived but the next day the workers were out at 5 am cleaning it up. They do this daily, and the beach looks beautiful all day. The water was super warm. I do suggest wearing water shoes as there are some rocks that get washed up. The only thing I can complain about was the weather and because of the weather we were kinda bored at times because again we couldn't bring ourselves to tan on the beach or swim in the pool or use the water slides as it was way to cold outside and in the pools. We will Definitely be returning and I will definitely recommend this resort to everyone I know. 5 stars hands down

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Mixed review

Just returned from 7 night stay at Iberostar waves beach resort. 2 grandparents, adult daughter and grand child. Greeted by concierge asked to return later to hear about resort and wait for room at 3. Concierge started calling wanting us to attend selection suites next door for breakfast and to see what they have to offer. Room was nice. Elevators not always working and we had to walk up and down stairs way too many times. Stairwells very dark. When it rained the halls and stairwell were all  [... read more]wet. Our room was very clean, beautiful view and balcony. One bed was in deplorable condition. There were no mid support feet on both sides. The mattress felt like broken springs. Felt like I was falling out. Like a hammock. I reported 4 times to concierge and each time she would say she reported it and it would be looked after. I got the feeling they were well aware of it. Room 1136. We suffered with the bed for the entire stay. My spouse has 2 herniated disc's and bone cancer. I tried sleeping in the other bed with daughter and grandchild 3 nights. This was a very big turn off regarding this resort. The entertainment staff were great. The buffet was great and so was the staff. Italian restaurant wasn't worth visiting. Same food in buffet. The weather was not in our control and was very terrible so we didn't actually get to enjoy the resort as we should have, especially the beach. This was a cold front and we had high winds and cold weather with a lot of sea weed. We didn't appreciate the breakfast next door. It was a big sales pitch to buy into their Star membership program. They were herding people from room to room and desk to desk. That was a turn off. We did have a pretty good time considering all factors, but I doubt we would return again.

Ocean Coral Spring: The Staff are what made our trip

This resort is a small, friendly spot. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. The pools are clean and well maintained and they do their best to keep the beach clean. We did not spend much time at the beach because it was small and shallow but it would be great for kids.

Riu Palace Aquarelle: Not quite a palace but great

The hotel was very clean and very large. The rooms were exceptional and we had a wonderful view of the pools and the oceans. The food was great at the buffet and at the specialty restaurants, although we did get to try only 2 because of the app which did not work all the time but we did eat a lot.any way, so it was not missed. Entertainment staff tried their best during bad weather, to provide indoor entertainment during the day.. We were happy about that.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Less Than Promised

Ground were beautiful despite the recent hurricane. Most employees were great and those that were not are obviously only attending to those people who were handing out large amounts of tips. Office staff is deplorable, tried to soak us for $750.00 vendor fee when we asked for a local tattoo artist to come and provide us with a tattoo. Food was great at the Steak House, Italian and Poseidon, Buffet's were good but very repetitive. Entertainment was too short and catered to specific groups of people. Really quite boring!

Riu Montego Bay: Just OK

The good. Resort is nice and clean. Service was great everywhere. Food was good The bad. Pools did not match pictures at all. They were small and most likely full of urine. Beach looks ok but water is mostly gross and ocean floor mushy.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Warm reception

This was our first time in Jamaica but won’t be our last The resort was very clean, well maintained and there was very little noticeable remaining damage from the hurricane. The food was very good and the staff was over the top friendly and helpful.
