Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Good resort and beautiful beach!

Memories Flamenco is a wonderful resort and was the destination of our first family trip to Cuba. We truly love Cuba and its people, and we already planning to return. It is important to have realistic expectations. This is Cuba, and many people are facing challenges. You should visit the REAL CUBA, the nearest town then, you will able to see the other side of the moon. The entertainment team works very hard to make guests feel welcome and to create memories and smile. Staff members across all departments-gardeners, cleaners, reception, management, bar and service staff-do their best to provide quality service. The food is decent, and there is always enough to eat. once again, travelers should keep in mind the realities of the destination. If someone has very high expectations, they may wish to consider a higher priced alternative elsewhere. I love Cuba and appreciate the warmth and dedication of its people!

Tryp Cayo Coco: Staff never disappoints

Tryp was our first visit to Cuba 16 years ago. Many changes over the years, but the staff is always warm, welcoming and friendly. The grounds are always manicured. The pool is always clean and inviting. The beach is fantastic. The food selection has taken a hit over the years, but there is always something tasty to be found. The resort partner (I believe it is Spain) has ruined the buffet cutting it down to half the size.....the atmosphere has suffered and the A/C no longer does the job. Insect in all parts of Cuba seem to be more of a problem in the past, probably due to the ongoing shortages in the country. Rooms are dated (resort is 40 years old) but they are kept very clean and everything was in working order.The animation team works hard to keep things fun at the pool in the afternoon. Other choices for meals are 4 ala carts (only one open per night right now) Cuban, International, Italian and Chinese. We managed to hit them all this visit and the food was good considering the cost of the vacay. The new beach grill is a relaxing choice for lunch. Cuba is not for everyone, but if you aren't overly picky, the beach, the pool, and especially the service will chilax you.Shout out to Osmany at the buffet grill, Erlin at the swim up bar, William, at the Buffet, Adrianna at the front desk, Willy and Ricardo at the new Beach Grill!!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful Beach!

The hotel grounds are beautiful and clean. The food at the buffet was good. The a la carte restaurants are really great. Only complaint is our beds were uncomfortable. We asked to have the toilet seat attached and the maintenance never came to fix in the 11 days that we were there. This was our 17th time at this resort.

Melia Cayo Coco: Anotherr Great Stay

12 great days with no rain until we were boarding the aircraft made this an even better trip. Having been a regular here for a few years we now are running into other couples who come here regularly because of the people who work here, well kept grounds and the resort as a whole. Hats off to Marco at the 24 hour this trip as he is very polite, quick and pays attention to detail. He is a great addition to the resort and will surely go places. Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Worst Resort Ever

The scenery was amazing. There's no customer service, they don't know the meaning of that yet they want you to tip them in US/CAD. The doctor on-site will only take cash in us/cad. The waiters at the bar ignore you if you want coffee and are extremely rude. BTW, they don't have Coca-Cola if you want diet coke or any type of coke. They're also racist if you're not white or Latina. I will never go back to Cuba at all.

Sol Cayo Coco: Charming resort

Had a wonderful week at Sol Cayo Coco. The people were amazing -- both staff and other guests. The beach was fabulous and the room basic but clean. The food was not the greatest. Breakfast was the best meal of the day, but options were very limited for lunch and dinner. There seemed to be a shortage of just about everything, even a couple of days when there were no potatoes. Everything is easy to find and within easy walking distance. Service was cheerful and friendly with one glaring exception -- the Air Canada rep, who was unbelievably rude.

Melia Cayo Coco: Excellent resort

From the time you check in to the time you check out, this is a very friendly, accommodating resort. The staff is awesome, and remember you from the previous year. The grounds are very user friendly, well kept and being a small resort, everything is easy to find and get around. Looking forward to another return visit, in the future.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Amazing month!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Iberostar Daiquiri in Cayo Guillermo for a full month, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff is truly exceptional—everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. The front desk team is always helpful and friendly, the service staff throughout the resort is amazing, and the bartenders deserve a special mention for their great drinks, smiles, and friendly conversations that make every day even better. I can’t recommend the Iberostar Daiquiri enough for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and unforgettable stay.

Melia Cayo Coco: Fabulous Week

Second time this year to this resort. Arrived at noon and was told a room was ready, but if we wanted to wait for this other particular room we could wait. We chose to wait, but appreciated the option to get a room upon arrival. Weather was fantastic. Service was excellent. The vegetable options were lacking this week, which is not normal. I didn't see carrot/onion the entire week, and cabbage and peppers only twice. It's not like they're hiding it in the back, it's just not available. The food that was available was excellent, and thankful for the variety and the other options made available. The rooms at this resort are basic, but super smart layout and A/C worked well and hot water always available anytime of day. Public washrooms are incredibly clean and always stocked. We will definitely return!

Playa Luxury Cayo Guillermo: Excellent resort

We very much enjoyed our week at the resort. The beach is spectacular (Playa Pilar) with more than enough shade and comfortable beach beds; we lucked out with the weather and the sea was unusually warm for December (27.5 degrees) and calm enough for swimming most days. The rooms are beautifully appointed, ours had an ocean view which was spectacular (building 1). The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We appreciated the butler service - we had a small maintenance issue in the room which we reported to the butler service via WhatsApp and it was fixed right away; they even followed up with a handwritten note the next day, which was a nice - and frankly unexpected - touch. Check in was absolutely seamless, wi-fi worked well, including in the beach. There wasn’t much in the way of entertainment (we expected that) but we really enjoyed the live music in the lobby bar every night. The food was good (for Cuba), great selection of cheeses and somewhat inconsistent selection of fresh fruit and veggies (again, as expected for Cuba); we enjoyed the buffet and the beach grill more than the a-la carte restaurants. Overall, the resort met our expectations and is now our top choice for Cuba.

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Ok resort

Personally I will not recommend this resort for family with kids, people who doesn’t eat pork or vegetarian. Everything in this resort mixed with pork. Also this resort has nothing for kids to eat beside pasta there is nothing to eat. Extremely disappointing

Grand Aston is a very nice resort. Very up to date, spotless, the grounds are very nice, neat and tidy. The rooms are nice and also very clean. The beach is beautiful and pools are clean. The staff are awesome especially Yoelbi and Jose in the Lobby bar, great young men. Very friendly and love to make you laugh. The food was pretty good (it's Cuba) but lots of choices. We will return.

Melia Costa Rey: We love this resort,we will be back next year,it was our third visit and we’re enjoying everything

This is very friendly environment with amazing staff,very clean rooms,food service facilities,beautiful beach.very nice entertainment.Lots of activities all day long. We were visiting all restaurants and I would like to say we enjoyed it very much,delicious food and great service from staff who were serving us. I would recommend this resort to my family and friends.

Hello Tripcentral. Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback. The Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort is a general purpose 4Star OK resort. Knowing the limitations \ restrictions placed on Cuba the resorts have a hit \ miss presentation. First the Good: Very family oriented, providing baby services for parents and 2 child pools that the kids can play safely. In the evening lobby turns into a playground for the kids for the firsts few hours. No problem with the room service,  [... read more]room AC no problem, shower water pressure no problem, flushing is a problem…you have to flush multiple times and wait in between in order for the tank fill up. Short drive from airport to resort…excellent..20min. All the elevators except for one were out of service, primarily used by bell boys for delivery. If you are and elder or have leg \ back problems good luck climbing the stairs. Beach very clean, no problem. Weather was poor, cloudy, 3 days of sun rest cloudy and cool. The pool never heated up. No fault of Cuba. Snack bar provides sandwiches, fries, and fruit, perfect for a quick bite and for kids who only need fries to much on. Buffet Restaurant: selection of food is limited due to the restrictions and financial expenses. The pork no meat very greasy, chicken so-so, beef so-so. Found all the food to be mild warm \ cold, this I did not like. Desert Table: Large selection of sweets, fruit, cheese, no problem excellent. I do not understand why parents allow their children to help themselves at the desert table. Parents are ignorant, you should be ashamed. Infront of me 3 kids not capable of holding the plate \ saucer \ ice cream bowl kept dropping and making a mess on the counter and floor. Is this how you teach your kids at home to behave. Every parent should be charged extra for the damage their kids do. In simple terms, your kids behave like animals, no fault when the parents are ignorant. No Leaf Salad: disappointed in this, tomatoes was a hit \ miss, no Q-cumber. Breakfast: excellent no problem, had eggs. Lobby \ Bar: In the evening 9:30pm the lobby and the bar become the focal point show stage. The area is full of tourist, there is no air circulation, the heat is barely tolerable. This is a very poor design, almost like an afterthought. Getting \ waiting for service on the floor…good luck..it may arrive next week. Yes the resort is kept clean. Bar: No Liquor, no dark rum, no cream Reservation – booking: made 2 weeks in advance and requested top floor of building. Upon arrival was given 2nd floor. The resort is well appointed as a 4star, it will never improve to overcome the many challenges it has.

Melia Costa Rey: Cuba

Meliá Costa Rey was a great resort with extremely helpful and pleasant staff including groundskeepers and pool staff. The food was very good and abundant compared to what the locals are able to get outside of the resort. The rooms were great although we had trouble with the AC and damp sheets. Lots of activities if you wanted and beautiful beaches.

Sol Cayo Coco: A waste of money

One thousand dollars wasted on the premium package. Small selection and amount of food, poor selection of drinks. Cockroaches in bread basket and on the toaster in dining room. It goes on and on. Very friendly staff but they have nothing to work with. I blame the resort owners. Read the 1 star reviews, they are tell you the truth.

Bonjour Kevin, Nous ne sommes pas des voyageurs difficiles alors pour nous tous s'es bien passer et les petits problèmes on été règler rapidement. 1. Emplassement: situer à 20 minutes en taxi de l'aéroport ou entre 30 à 45 minutes en autobus selon les arrêts à faire. 2. Resort comme tel: pas trop petit n'y trop vaste, un très bon juste milieu. Il a environ 25 ans et est entretenu convenablement. 3. Chambre. Première chambre (Bloque 19) n'était pas convenable. Première chose que je vérifie le [... read more] coffre fort pas fonctionnel, manque de couverture et seulement 2 vers. 3ième lit en place m'est pas de couverture. Notre agent mis au courant de la situation et le resort à rectifier amicalement la situation en nous changent de bloque (bloque 24 unité 2416 chambre parfaite pour les femmes). Ils sont en rénovation dans certain bloque pour un up grade. 4. Manger: Excellent , oui à l'occasion il peut manquer certain item mais ont ne peut ce plaindre. Service et propreté numéro 1 à tout les emplacement. (Snack bar, buffet et à la carte). 5: La force du Resort, SA PLAGE ELLE EST INCROIYABLE.

Sol Cayo Coco: Resort needs work

The best part of this resort is the beach and pool. This resort is on the LOW end of the scale. There is NO cola, pepsi, or coke, just sprite and orange. Mixed drinks are hard to come by on some days. Found a cockroach in the bread at breakfast service and also one in my room. I paid for the superior room with ocean view. Cayo Coco is in the middle of nowhere...you have to drive 1 hour to get to a town. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this resort. This resort needs a MAJOR renovation!

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Awesome

The hotel was great. Lots of food to choose from. And a fabulous presentation man named jimmy was the best! The beaches were gorgeous! Whole trip is definitely wonderful get away for any age. :) Would definitely recommend and return in by a later year!
