Excellence Punta Cana: Ultimate Adults Only Vacation Spot

My husband and I chose this resort for our honeymoon. Upon arrival, we were greeted with champagne and a cold towel. Very refreshing! Our room was even upgraded upon arrival. The room was very spacious, and the resort was very well maintained. Each day there were activities that you could participate in and nightly entertainment. There was also no shortage of food selections- French, Spanish, Asian, Mexican, American Grill, and Mediterranean. All of the dishes were very well presented. The staff members also did a great job of engaging the hotel guests throughout the day. They were very enthusiastic! We highly recommend this adult only luxury resort. We will certainly return to this resort in years to come!

Excellence Punta Cana: Nice Resort

The facilities and staff were great. The food was disappointing and mediocre at best. Three restaurants open every night, which was fine since there weren't many people around. It's just that the food wasn't great. Perhaps our expectations were too high given they weren't buffets. We thought things could have been better.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Good

If we had not stayed at excellence playa mujeres last year, would consider this pretty nice but now getting tired.Beach was seaweed, ocean was sandy brown (blame recent storm).Restaurants' food was good.Wasting 1 hour to line up for night's hibachi is primitive, (how about each room reserves once per stay when arriving?).Turned off all lights during outdoor meal, had to leave for indoor diner.If you don't tip (or enough) then wait for second class service.Surprise first checked bag charge!!Free  [... read more]Valet Park N Fly was welcomed.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Amazing resort!

Great staff, great venue, great beach. The restaurants choice is vast and the quality of food was great. We liked it so much we actually bought the very same package to our parents as a gift the week following up our trip. Thanks Angela!

This was a perfect vacation. The service was outstanding from check in to check out. The friendliest most efficient staff I have encountered. The grounds and room was beautiful. The beach is perfect. The food was great.

Excellence El Carmen: Exceeded all expectations

Our first impression of this resort was "wow". Through the week it continued to exceed our expectations. This resort is definitely a couples resort. It is focused on creating a great couples experience. Dinner on the beach, swim out rooms, jacuzzi tubs, it is a great resort for quiet time for couples to do their own thing or to enjoy some entertainment through shows or the disco. We stayed in an ocean front swim out honey moon suite and I highly recommend it. We had our own pool area and the bar tender served us right to our pool! Be aware there is a new resort going in next door and the construction can be a little noisy. We Brough a bluetooth speaker and our music blocked the noise. Also because of the time of year there was seaweed on the beach however the staff did a great job keeping it under control. We loved the dinner restaurants, each one was great. You don't have to make reservations which is great because you don't have to commit ahead of time. The menus are on the TV so you can see your options before picking a restaurant. The beds are very comfortable and they supply a variety of pillow choices! There is a large selection of room service options. I can't say enough about the staff, they truly want to make sure you have everything you need and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. We loved everything about this resort and will definitely return!

This resort was remarkable! Every little detail taken care of. Service was over the top. Entertainment was extraordinary! Food was everywhere and very well made. Cleanliness was beyond. I would definitely go back to this resort

Excellence Oyster Bay: Amazing hotel!

Can't say enough about this hotel. The grounds are immaculate, all around you see ocean everywhere you turn. The cleanliness exceeded my expectations, the staff was on top of their game. Food was great, lots of options. My husband and I were very impressed with this resort and do plan to go back.

Excellence Oyster Bay: 5 star luxury, fabulous resort!!

A TON of restaurants and food options, food is amazing!!! 5 star service all around--friendly staff. Great Drinks menus and lots of premium brand drinks Hotel is new and all areas, grounds are immaculate - very clean!! 24 hr Room service and in room minibar is amazing!! Rooftop infinity pool has a mind blowing view of the ocean, with great rooftop lounge and bar. Hobie cat is super fun, great captain guide Beach is super close to most rooms at the resort

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Truly Excellence

My husband and I booked this resort to celebrate our two year wedding anniversary. I can honestly say that from the second you walk through the lobby doors, this resort is PARADISE. From the food to the staff to the hotel room itself, everything was incredible. Our favorite restaurant was Agave (Mexican) - the chicken fajitas are a must try. Excellence Riviera Cancun: Perfect

Everything about the Excellence Riviera Cancun was perfect. The staff are exceptionally poised and polite, with beautiful English. No issues of translation at Excellence. The grounds are beautiful, modern, airy and clean. Food is incredible. The restaurants have authentic cuisine and wonderful service - we enjoyed the Italian and Indian. Pools are heaven. The gym is the best we've ever experienced with clean, well-maintained equipment. This is a short review, but I have endless compliments for this resort.

Excellence Oyster Bay: 1st class service

We have been to several resorts, nothing like Excellence Oyster Bay. Staff are so pleasant, they never seem to have a bad day. Always looking to make your stay better. The chef at the buffet came out every morning to say thank you and to make sure our stay was all we ever wanted.

Excellence El Carmen: The 'Excellence' Name is Well Earned

My wife and I picked EEC for our honeymoon based on various extremely positive reviews online, as well as recommendations from a couple of travel agents. Everyone I spoke with who had been here absolutely raved about, well, everything! Location: The property is absolutely beautiful, no matter where you go. Everything is very clean and tidy. The beach is gorgeous and well groomed; easy to walk up and down. Fantastic fitness centre! We didn't make it to the gym as much as we wanted, but had no [... read more] issues completing our workouts while we were there; it had everything needed to maximize our sessions. The main pool area was never obnoxious with music or rowdy folks, and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Room: Our room (Rooftop Terrace w/Plunge Pool) was incredible. The first room we were in was literally right next to a construction site (not ideal for a honeymoon), but the front desk staff (Enrique in our case) went above and beyond to assist us with sorting out options. We ended up keeping the same type of room and just moved to a different area; it was perfect and so much better. Incredible views right out to the ocean, even though we were at the 'front' of the property! Having the pool was great to cool off with when we got too hot. The second bed wasn't quite as plush as the first, but we still slept great each night. Food/Drink: The food was delicious at every restaurant, the staff were always friendly and willing to help, and the drinks were always cold and tasty. > I didn't know the extent going in, but I will be packing differently for the next time we go to an Excellence resort. It's important to note that you will need some more 'formal' clothing for eating dinner at nearly all of the restaurants; I had only brought 1 pair of dress pants not knowing this ahead of time, so they got a lot of use. Collared shirts are expected as well as closed-toe shoes for guys; ladies can wear dresses/skirts/pants with heels or more formal sandals. It turned out we actually really liked this approach, it was fun to see everyone get a little dressed up each night (some more than others, though, haha) to go out and have a great evening. Activities: We did the water aerobics one day, and 'Black Coffee No Sugar No Cream' as he called himself, was very fun and engaging as an instructor. We attended a couple of shows in the theatre, which were awesome. We spent a good bit of time at Sports Bar playing pool, which was a nice break as well. Final Thoughts: All in all, we don't think we could have chosen a better location for our honeymoon, and we can't wait to go back! We'll be checking out EPM next, but we'll return to EEC for sure!

Beautiful grounds - very well maintained and spotless. Suite - best ever /king bed/good pillows/good linens/seating area and walk in shower . Had Junior suite pool view - no pool view just an algae filled pond near the outdoor theatre - so noisy at night until at least 10.30 or 11 . offered to move us to next building but we stayed put. Have to book excellence club to get better location away from noise .Room not cleaned until around 4 every day. Main pool is small but we had nice private pool [... read more] at building 12. Staff good - always asking how is your holiday - gets to be in sincere toward the end of the week. Food biggest disappointment, I know one does not go to allincl for the food but it was hit or miss. Steak was good but overall not great. Would be better if they cut the menu in half and had more supervision.Very long wait for service in a la carte restaurants i.e did not order starter but Salmon - 45 mins later 4 scallops arrived on a bed of carrot puree then wait another 20 for the dessert menu. Big on cocktails and drinks service.

Excellence El Carmen: Fantastic Trip

We absolutely loved everything about our trip. The staff were amazing, the reception group, servers, cleaners, groundskeepers, and animation team were all wonderful. The layout of the hotel grounds was very convenient, all amenities seemed to be very close to each guest room building complex. Excellence Oyster Bay: Great adult only resort

Not quite a year old. Long wait for room when arrived, despite resort only at 50% capacity. Restaurants still need some upgrades as it relates to times waiting and service, probably due to young untrained staff. Food was okay but not 5 star. Beach okay but doesn’t look like it does in photo. Nice to have room service included. Entertainment and its manager was quite good and varied. Only 40 minutes from airport. These comments are based on the higher cost of this resort and expectations because of that.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Best resort ever

One of a kind resorts. We loved everything about it. The staff was fabulous and catered to all of our needs. The food was delicious in all of its restaurants. We are definitely planning to come back next year and would recommend this resort to anyone. Time of our lives.

Excellence Punta Cana: Excellent Resort!

Great food, clean, spacious, no need to save chairs in the morning as there was always enough and good evening entertainment. The silent dance party was the best! Recommend the upgrade to the excellence club.

Excellence Punta Cana: Relaxing and super clean resort!

I just returned from a 4 night stay and really enjoyed my time at this resort. The facilities and grounds were incredibly clean, we had no problem finding beach or pool chairs and the staff were wonderfully friendly! My only complaint is that while the bed was super comfy, the pillows were terrible! Food was great, spa was nice, drinks were cold. I’d go back for sure.
