Good stay

Good stay for the price ... Not as bad as people say. Had no problems with anything. Check in and out was fast and easy. Elevator never broke down even once for my 4 day stay . I would recommend this hotel

Fabulous Flamingo

The hotel was gorgeous - even better than we expected! Right in the heart of it all mid-strip and the room was beautiful. They even threw in free show tickets when we checked in. The pool area was great, and we didn't find the lines too bad at all. Our only issue was the airport transfers organized by TripCentral through another company called Showtime. I paid an additional US$50 - except when we arrived at the airport no one was there! The showtime one makes multiple stops. Didn't even use the return one. Waste of US$50.

Vegas Vacation

It was a nice place. A little outdated, but it is one of the oldest hotels on the strip. Rooms were cleaned daily, staff was nice, concierge and front desk were very helpful. The only complaints I have are the elevators are a little scary (need to be upgraded) and they really need more servers on the casino floor.

Average Room, but hotel is great

The room was a bit dated, but large and comfortable. The rest of the hotel grounds, main floor and lobby were great.... The location is excellent being right in the middle of the strip next to the newest area called the LINQ

Tired and Old Hotel! Move on!

Well worn hotel! Extremely long check-in times as it took us over 30 minutes to check in, old and creaky elevators, one elevator took 3 tries to close the door after each stop, exposed wires on buttons for elevators, noisy rooms, everyone in our party had to switch rooms and they were not that much quieter, hallways with torn carpet, great/friendly phone attendants was the only good thing when you had to call them and you will be calling them if you stay here.

Would not stay again

I was told the rooms were renovated recently and that was why I decided to stay in such an old hotel. Upon arrival we were disappointed that the doors to the hotel the shuttle bus dropped us off at was under renovation and my mother and I had to carry our luggage up approximately 50 stairs. Then a good walk through the building to the lobby area. From the lobby to the elevators, more stairs to carry our luggage! My mother is almost 70 years old. The renovated rooms were not professionally done.  [... read more]The floor at the windows were cut with a box cutter unevenly.. I believe they used a product called Allure, which is a cross between laminate and linoleum. The bathroom fixtures were old with hard water stains. The tub that I was hoping to bathe in was also old and grungy. The grounds and everything else was nice. The pool area needs more Free chairs as we had to sit on the cement ground, even though another pool area was closed off with unused chairs around it. The alternative is a rent a bed or private tent...minimum of two hundred dollars. So the hard cement it was.

Best value for your dollar

Excellent location next to LINQ and mid-strip, rooms were standard but clean, Pool area was an awesome oasis right on the strip, never overcrowded, also would recommend upper pool area for more atmosphere!!!!! Staff were polite and friendly. Many restaurant options in hotel and immediate area.

Flamingo was nice

they had great pizza.. this hotel grounds where clean.. the room we had had the worst view in the hole building i would tell everybody stay away from the 4th floor 4096 4094 as the view was unaccetable...

I would stay there again

The flamingo is very central on the strip, close to a lot of attractions and good restaurants , our room was nicely renovated and we got upgraded to a king size bed! The only things that were bothersome were when we got there we had to wait for almost an hr to check in and there were many people checking in and only two people at the front desk. and our room was an adjoining room with another room, you could here everything from the other room and they were being quiet , but all in all I would s [... read more]tay at the flamingo again definately bc of its location!

A little run down

Our room was at the end of a long hallway with old, wavy rug that you could easily trip on...other parts of the hotel have been renovated and this section needs it too The room itself was clean, the beds comfy. The staff is friendly and efficient as always. The only food we ate there was the pizza, which we saw being cooked every time we walked by our elevator. It was just OK. We didn't go to the brunch buffet because $18.99 is a bit pricey and we preferred going to The Cheesecake Factory across [... read more] the street in Caesar's. The location is great, central to all the big hotels.

Good value for your money

Good breakfast buffet. Some floors needs new carpeting. We upgraded our room for a room with internet services and a mini fridge. The hotel is on the strip which is good for people who would like to stay on the strip.

Ideal location location location!!!

The location was ideal! Close to Bellagio, Ceasars palace, Mirage ect. My room 7006 was very nice and clean. The hallways were a little dumpy and the hotel was old. The restaurant at hotel Margaritaville and Carlos & Charles were great!

Good Location

We stayed in a renovated room which you can request in advance. The location of the Flamingo is ideal for those who want to walk the strip. Overall our experience was good. The only real downfall is the wait we had to endure to check-in. We waited over a half an hour which seems to be standard at the Flamingo.

Smoking Room

The only disappointment was when I went to check in the first evening and was told I would not have a "non smoking" room until the next day and to go back to the lobby the next day between 11-1:00 p.m. The smoking room was horrendous,old and trashy. I was told that even though I had a reservation, this did not guarantee a "non smoking" room. Otherwise the rest of the stay was great. Love the central location of the hotel to the events we participated in.

Good hotel

Good hotel. It was clean and great location. Costumer service is not great but other than that no worries. The resort fee that they add on is stesnge but common to Vegas. The buffet Was good but no dinner.

Dirty resort

The flamingo is in the midst of redoing their rooms which is a good thing because it is very dated inside. The grounds are beautiful. But beware the pool is closed as they are working on it and nobody told us this when we booked. Staff is not helpful and very slow at getting anything done. Check in and out took forever. However they do have an express checkout...don't do it as our bill was wrong and had to be fixed. The good thing is its in the middle of the strip. Flamingo hotel

Size of the room. Friendliness of staff, too many little kids, too expensive for the little things. Needs to have a faster check in experience. Check out was quick choice to do it electronically or not

Good - Right on Strip

The halls are in need of new carpeting - Hotel is also in need of proper security at elevators - There does not appear to be anyone in charge overall - prices are too high Terrible odour in hotel from the spray they are using to coverup cigerette smells, etc

Excellent stay!

Really enjoyed our stay at the flamingo! Location is fantastic, love the linq and the high roller. Our room was upgraded on arrival. King bed, 2 tvs, seating area, TV in bathroom! Highly recommend the Go room.

Loved the Flamingo

We really enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo. It is not too big that we got lost in it, and everyone was very helpful and friendly. We never got to use the pool as it was closed, but it looked like it would have been nice too.
