Awesome value!

My husband and I stayed here for our second anniversary and were very impressed with what the resort had to offer. The room was lovely and very clean, we enjoyed late night swims in the adult only pool that was open until midnight and the salt water pool was really neat! Al a carte restaurants were good. The Mexican restaurant was our favourite as we were seated in the patio overlooking the ocean while the sun setted and the waiter made fresh guacamole at our table. The only thing that wasn't great is that the buffet restaurant doesn't rotate themes so they have the same menu every day but we just made sure we went for lots of al a carte dinners. We had an awesome vacation!!!

Substandard Resort

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. It is an hour from PV, has a very small beach area, there is no place that you can walk to, the food in some of the restaurants was horrible, and most of all we found out we were ripped off on the price, us paying $977.00 each and others $849.00 and others as low as $749.00 each.

Very nice last minute vacation

The grounds were lovely and though there were a lot of stairs it was easy to get around. The resort is very compact. Nice beach. The room was just fine, though the balcony is very small. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was fine as well. Food in the buffet was exactly the same every day t every meal - quite different from other resorts. The a la carte restaurants were hit and miss with Bambu and the mexican restaurant being wonderful and Ribs and more and the Portfino being quite poor ( cold foo [... read more]d, not properly prepared). The birds in the snack bar/open side of the buffet are quite off putting as you watch them peck at unattended food and leave their droppings all over. That all being said, the staff were all amazing! Wonderful service and exceptional staff.

Palladium Vallarta

Highest caliber food we have ever experienced at a resort. Mexican food 5* and Mexican beef especially prime rib WOW. Pools in excellent shape. Small thing Beach needs a tractor to remove sea weed volume. Staff is 6*. Grounds are stunning! Love the Eco resort style and the resorts botanical garden paths and the animal rehabilitative zoo. Saw a beach wedding reception WOW!

Amazing Vacation to Grand Palladium Vallarta

The rooms are all well maintained and clean, the grounds are kept very nice, the food is great, the beach is beautiful, and all the staff are AMAZING! There is lots to do at the resort to keep you busy, but it is also good for just relaxing - so you can make your vacation exactly what you want. Giovani is the BEST bartender at Hemminways. Matias and Victor are the BEST bartenders at the Relax Pool. I've been to this resort twice and will definitely be returning again in the future.

Pleasant Stay

First impression was disappointing. Main lobby seemed a bit tired, with soiled couches and a sticky front desk. Check in and out went smoothly. The resort has 4 a la carte restaurants; no reservations required, first come first serve. Sometimes had a lengthy wait for the second seating but they had a good paging system when your table was ready. All our evening meals were a la carte and mostly provided good food. Buff [... read more]et provided lots of variety, food when cooked to order gave the best results, otherwise food seemed overcooked or had been kept warm for too long. Room was very nice and clean. We upgraded to an ocean view and were pleased with the view into the bay. However the room was close to where many wedding activities were held and created some party noise till 11:00. We were not impressed with the evening shows, only 1 evening had hired entertainment. Other nights it was just audience participation events. We were rather surprised by how many smokers there were on the resort., with no designated outdoor non smoking areas. The bars and two pools where nice, and the salt water pool was a cool feature. High tides and big surf tossed some fish into this pool. Finding shade around the pool or under palapas where tricky if you didn't reserve your lounge chairs by 7:30 am with a towel. The staff were helpful and pleasant. There was a language barrier at times but that is to be expected. The water sports centre staff were awesome as was the beach bar staff. Beautiful beach and great surf. Lots of stairs and a small zoo set in natural gardens.

Great service, but many faults.

Great service and great room. Food was good but 1 of the 4 restaurants was closed 8 of the 10 days there for wedding groups. The main pool is not heated and I could not use it, toooo cold. One last beef, I was on the third floor (actually 4th as they could floor zero as the first floor) and 48 steps to climb up, no elevators. This resort has steep stairs all over to get to main or adult pool. Not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues or baby carriages. Great resort for families

Grounds were nice, a little zoo in middle of resort in amoungst trees, bushes. Clean rooms and facilities, Mexican decor ect. Food pretty good in Buffett the Mexican and Asian were good, Italian and rib/steak place were not very good.

Great Resort and Still Making Improvements

We have now stayed at The Grand Palladium Vallarta three times ..last time five years ago. We liked it then and it has even gotten better! We just returned Feb. 2/16. It would appear you need to congratulate the management for putting systems in place for improvement... BUT I think the real thanks and cuddos have to go to the par excellent staff!! We have traveled considerably and there is no doubt this is the best overall staff ever! The food quality has improved and it was quite good before. [... read more] I did not get to all a la carte restaurants but everyone I tried was good. The beach barbeques were very good. I will provide an in depth review on Trip Advisor in the next couple of days.

Pretty average resort, raitings said it was a 4+

To far out of town, our room was mediocour not premium like stated in add, adult pool to small. Food at buffet was mostly cold if not made at cooking station. Staff was really good. The ground were nice, we like the jungle feel.

Very beautiful resort

this resort is very nice. The grounds, pool, beach , food, drinks and staff were great. We enjoyed a very relaxing week there which was the main reason for our trip. Thank you very much for making this happen for us. We would highly recommend this resort.

Grand palladium vallarta

We recently travelled to PV and stayed at the grand palladium Vallarta. Hotel was very clean and food was good, and staff were very friendly and helpful! You pay for what you get I wasn't happy to hear people complain about the resort as I feel it is about a 4.5 star and other people I guess don't! For the people that want to complain common I can see if you payed 15,000 or more on a trip you should expect people to jump to your needs but really reality is you won't get in anywhere. Stop complai [... read more]ning and just enjoy it for the time you travel and guess what you don't have to go back if you don't want to! All I saw the whole trip was the employees working there butts off to make the resort what it is... We travel lots and Mexico is one place you don't see employees sitting on there as* getting payed for nothing.

Excellent!

Great place to stay. Clean and nice layout. Bars at every pool. Bartenders very friendly and recommend drinks. Infinity Adult pool is great. Nice shows every evening. Lots of things for family to do. Would go back anytime. We love it! Friendly people!!

Awesome Resort

We loved the food, the beach and all the beautiful landscaping. Oh and the Spa was incredible! Left the spa feeling very rejuvenated, staff was very professional. The resort was a great size, not too big or small. Everything was great, would definitely recommend.

Not for the faint hearted

This resort is actual great for families and adults alike, but not for those who are not fit. By this I mean that there are lots of steep stairs to negotiate, but if you take your time, it's manageable. The family section has a great Kids pool and water park which tempts the kid at heart too, but there are age restrictions, so eat your heart out Grandad. My personal favorite was the Secret Bar and pool, which is Adult only. Meaning NO-ONE under 18, strictly observed by the tactful security staff. Beach area is ample and with a little ingenuity one can walk for miles on an extended section unspoilt by development. Staff were personable and helpful, very competent and some even multi-lingual. I'd give it 9 out of 10 for fit families and adults.

Fun resort

Friendly staff, awesome jungly grounds, perfect size (not so big you can't find your friends but big enough). Seemed great for families or people travelling without kids. I am only not rating it as excellent because we had some inconveniences the first couple days but once we figured things out and adjusted our expectations, we were very happy. Had to carry our kids around because using a double stroller seemed impossible), you have to purchase decent wine, premium drinks are not included except at one bar, no cocktails at the buffet, the a la carte restaurants only seat at 3 specific times a night so if you show up 10 minutes after that time, you will have to wait an hour and 20 mins till the next seating even if the restaurant is 1/4 full. Once we figured these things out, we had an amazing time. The staff were very friendly, the resort was clean and the grounds were beautiful. The beach was nice. There was always a lounger available and if you want to get away from the crowd, there was a pretty much deserted beach right around the bend. The pools were good and the kids' pool was great! There is even an ocean pool and a little zoo.

WOW! What a PLEASANT SURPRISE!

Our 2 Sons picked this venue for our 1st Family Reunion and it couldn't have been More Perfect. My wife Sherry and I have been retired for 8 years and have traveled extensively, so we were happy to let the Boys make all the Arrangements and we'd just Show Up not knowing what to expect. After this experience - I think we'll let our Sons make ALL our Travel Arrangements because this was ABSOLUTELY the Best Holiday we have Ever Had. We were 3 Families traveling - 2 couples and and the 3rd Family had 2 little ones aged 2 years old and 6 months old. When we all arrived at the Grand Palladium we were disappointed to find that we were housed in 2 separate buildings so we went to the Front Desk and explained that we were a Canadian Family, that Lives Far Apart in Canada, and we had come to the Palladium resort in Mexico for a Family Reunion so we had hoped to be closer together during our stay at the resort. I can't remember the name of the young man we spoke to at Reception but he was AMAZING and within 24 hours we had 3 Rooms Close together which made our 2 week stay truly Memorable. Our 3 Families are in Total Agreement that we will DEFINITELY Return to this Grand Palladium Resort for our 2nd Annual Family Gathering Next Year and hopefully for many years to come. Throughout our stay we found the Facilities and Amenities to be Excellent and by the end of our 2 weeks we were on a first name basis with many of the staff - ALL of whom contributed to make our 1st Family Reunion a HUGE Success.

Grand Palladium delivers

We spent a great 10 days at the Grand Palladium Vallarta. The weather was perfect and the water was warm. All of the staff were very hard working, helpful and friendly. Our room was basic but clean. The food in the buffet was very good. The "a la cartes" were great but some nights we went to the buffet instead.

Awesome Resort for Families!

Grand Palladium Vallarta - The resort was great!! We were just there last week (Nov 28th - Dec 5th, 2015) My wife and I were travelling with our 2 year old daughter and our 6 month old daughter. The staff were amazing!! All the staff at the buffet were very attentive to us everytime we came in for breakfast and lunch. We also had exceptional service at the special beach buffets! The pool servers were fantastic! However, the Mexican ala carte staff was a bit snobby. When travelling with a young children it was a bit of an inconvenience after travelling all day. We just hung out in the lobby and had to keep asking the front desk if our room was ready. The young gentleman who brought our bags to our room was Awesome!! Room service food was pretty greasy, no matter what you ordered, but it was ok. All in all, the week was awesome and the staff was fantastic! We would come back for sure!!! Muchos Gracias!!!

Great resort

adult pool to small, entertainment was repetitive for people staying 2 weeks. rooms great, balcony too small. restaurants had great choices, great landscape, view over the pool, great having vendors at the resort
