Perfect Getaway.

Trip was from May25th 2016-June1st 2016 booked through Sunwing and flew out of Toronto. We were greeted with a cocktail and cold towel while checking in. Bags were brought right up to our room. The resort is very clean and well kept. The room we stayed in was in building 4 second floor with a balcony view of the pool and ocean. The room was very clean and included a jacuzzi tub, a safe, a small fridge with water, beer and pop. Didn't need a travel adapter as it had the right outlets. Iron  [... read more]and ironing board. Fresh towels daily including beach towels. Bath robes were supplied as well. I would recommend building 4 or 5 second floor as they are closest to the beach. The resort is small which is what we wanted as you don't have far to walk to the beach, pool or restaurants. There was entertainment by the pool in the afternoon and nightly entertainment in the lobby. Reading other reviews we did bring our own 24oz thermos for drinks which was great for taking down to the beach instead of using the small cups the resort uses, so less trips to the bar. Staff was always happy to serve you. One day at the beach our normal spot didn't have lounge chairs and most were taken up as we went down to the beach later then normal that day. One of the staff seen we were looking around asked us if we needed lounge chairs. We said yes. Off he went and he dragged two chairs right to us! Food was amazing. The main buffet changed themes every night. There was a Mexican, Asian, Marine, Dominican, Mediterranean night. We loved the restaurants: Swiss fondue, steak and Italian. No reservations required. We recommend this resort and will be going back.

NICE RESORT

The resort grounds are clean and well cared for. The food at the buffet is very good. The animation is not very well announced. The beach is very nice. The rooms are nice and spacious. They did not change are beach towels until later in the evening, the maid came in the last day without even knocking on the door. The last day they wanted to fumigate our room at 10:30 am and the check out was at 12.

Good resort

Good resort, good food, friendly staff, clean and quiet. We visited Punta Cana Princess with a group of friends and we really enjoyed our stay. Several people from our group experienced stomach upset but we were fine, maybe due to the Dukerol we took at home. The resort was clean, the staff friendly and problems dealt with promptly. It was necessary to be at the beach early 5:45, in order to get a good spot, that was [... read more] a bit of a draw back, but lots of chairs. We flew with Sunwing and we not impressed with them. The price drop guarantee is a bit like a jelly fish,, hard to nail down and Sunwing made no attempt to resolve our issue which leads me to believe they would not stand behind their product. They didn't even acknowledge our concerns!

Another wonderful visit at Punta Cana Princess!

This was our 8th visit to this wonderful resort and it just keeps getting better! We spent 2 amazing weeks here, enjoying the sun, sand and sea. The “welcome home” we received from the staff and management was the perfect start to the best vacation we’ve ever had… There’s always staff serving, cleaning and tending to all your needs – they work so hard to make sure you’re stay is great. The room was perfect and waking up that each morning, sitting on the balcony with the palm trees swaying, the waves lapping the beach and the sun rising – paradise! Our room was kept clean and lovely with a great supply of bottled water, by our wonderful maid, Amarilis. We have always enjoyed the food here, but it has got that much better! It was great to see the expanded selection of fresh vegetables to make salads, the amazing fresh fruit and the selection of seafood and chicken. Don’t miss the days when there’s a lunchtime beach BBQ – it’s wonderful! The ribs are delicious and perfectly complemented with the grilled vegetables ☺. We marveled that there was always something good to eat at every restaurant and a wonderful selection at the buffet for every meal, as well as afternoon snacks at the beach bar/restaurant. We enjoyed heading to the gym each morning with the birds singing as us walked there; then the day at the beach walking, swimming and taking in the sun. The relaxed evenings enjoying a few drinks in the lobby, then a lovely dinner at one of the restaurants. This truly is paradise and we can’t thank the folks at the Punta Cana Princess enough! You’re all amazing and we’ll definitely be back next year!

Outstanding

This resort was quiet and the service was excellent. The grounds were beautiful. The four restaurants were all good, and no reservations required made it even easier to enjoy the selection each evening. Even the buffet was top-notch! There was smoking allowed in more areas than I have usually experienced, but only in the open areas so it was not overpowering. The staff were friendly and efficient, and there was a lot of entertainment provided which you could take or leave. My only criticism: the [... read more] rooms were nice but small and not much privacy in the bathroom area.

Great Resort!!!

Loved the resort. Was small and quaint. Rooms were beautiful. Grounds were well kept. Food at all restaurants was great. Entertainment staff worked hard all day mingling with the guests. Will definitely return.

Great Resort

Resort was very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good variety of food. Would like to see more chairs around the pool More seating for the nightly entertainment in the lobby. The morining of our meet & greet with rep.. we arrived early.. was told would meet shortly.. that there was a large group. we waited and waited.. finally asked about the meeting.. was told it was moved to one of the restaurants.. and we didn't know.. therefore missed the first 10 minutes of it.. but still found out ab [... read more]out the trips we wished to buy.. and did... Day trip to Santo Domingo was great. We purchase Elite Plus which was great for by passing checkin line ups.. only thing .. on the plane.. we had 1st row .. and the overhead compartments for our carry-on luggage was used by the airline .. therefore we had to find alternative storage.. which I didn't thing was right.

After nine years returnees as usual great resort

Accommodations excelent, service and the animation people great. Any requests handled quickly and efficiently. Games organized by staff was excellent and the evening entertainment was entertaining and funny. Looking forward to next year.

Awesome experience!

Wonderful, quiet, small setting with a personalized feel. Great food in the a la carts and the buffets. Nice beach and pool area, where you can participate in as much or as little of the activities as you want. Rooms are spacious and kept clean. Staff tried to please and are super friendly. Quick short ride to neighbouring resort, or walk to the spa. No bugs! An overall great time!

Beautiful resort

This resort was beautifully kept. From the grounds to the entryways and hallways cleanliness was number one. The staff were a delight. They were always helpful with anything you needed. The food was great with a wide and varied selection.

Totally Awesome

This resort was beautiful as I remembered, from checkin to getting into our rooms everything was perfect! One thing that I didn't understand was that we paid for an ocean view which we could see the ocean from our balcony and we were okay with that but my sister and husband also joined us and they didn't pay the extra for an ocean view and had a building closer to the beach and a better view then us! So not sure why we weren't put in that building but other than that it was perfect. Now I am a v [... read more]ery fussy eater and I didn't go hungry the food was good even though I don't try anything that doesn't look familiar! Weather was pretty good to, we only had one day that was raining and we went to the pool but other then that we are beach people! Beach was fabulous walked for hours and enjoyed every minute of our second time there!

Excellent resort

The grounds are well kept, the room was excellent and the food was great. Finding a lounge chair around the pool can be challenging. The area is crammed with resorts on an excellent beach which makes navigating the local roads challenging.

AWESOME HOTEL

Over all this hotel was fabulous; beach 5, hotel 5, public areas 4 dinning 4, food was very good, could have been more choices, night entertainment 2.5, very quite only 2 dances, rooms were great 5, service 5, dinning 4, dinning room should be completly non smoking.

Disappointing

The reason we picked this resort is because of the direct flight. Very disappointed in the additional pick-up on our way back. Not the way to end a great holiday sitting in plane for 12 hours. Will be finding something different next time. Food poisoning for the 2 people in our group that ate sea food.

Great Time!

This was our first time south and we were not disappointed. the food and service was great. The animation team was fantastic and always entertaining. We were always able to find chairs by the pool and beach no matter what time we went. The beach beds were amazing! The only negatives I had was the merchant by the pool bothered you every time you walked passed. I requested a top floor room and was given a room on the bottom floor. The sunwing rep recommended that we visit a shop 'Nicole' down the  [... read more]road and it was a complete waste of time unless you want to buy cigars and expensive jelwery.

Very friendly and good service

we enjoyed our stay, food was excellent the staff was very friendly and courteous. Rooms are very nice and well kept. Souper a la carte was excellent. I really enjoyed the BBQ on the beach and the activities at the lobby at knight.

A great week!

We stayed at the Punta Cana Princess from March 6 – 13th, as a couple, looking for relaxation!! We never left the resort! Maria from TripCentral had indicated that the resort was getting a little older and may be starting to show its age. She was right. The walls of the room were a little marked, there was a crack in the glass enclosure of the shower, and the toilet seat had been replaced by a new one that wasn’t quite the right size – but hey, we were in Punta Cana, so who really cares? O [... read more]nce I got over that I was not at the more luxury resort I considered going to, I had a great time and enjoyed everything about the vacation. The food was good, although not “fine dining”, but you cannot beat Dominican cheese, and I ate it at every meal!! The bar drinks were OK, but we were not there to party and more importantly, there was always lots of bottled water available in our room, and at the bars. There was entertainment in the lobby each evening, which was fun, but not of the caliber I have seen elsewhere. Apparently there was a larger stage with bigger shows at the other Princess Resorts, which we could have ridden the trolley to see, but there was no information available to tell us what was on each day. Overall, we enjoyed the beauty of the beach, the pool and the weather. We always had enough to eat at the buffet or the “a la cartes”. We met some nice vacationers to chat and have a drink with. The resort was clean, the staff were friendly, and it was a week away from the Canadian winter!!

Great relaxing vacation spot!

Been to this resort before and was pleasantly surprised at the changes! Comfortable size with everything easily accessible. Rooms are updated and comfortable and well equipped. Staff very friendly and accommodating.... food is decent, you will find something you like at the buffets. Visited the Italian restaurant twice...well worth trying. The wine and liquor are my only real complaints...like most resorts, it needs some major attention (I guess the price you pay for all Inclusives) . The ground [... read more]s are lovely and very nicely maintained. Wifi is sloooww! But is free in the lobby and available at a cost in the rooms. We return to Punta Cana because of the consistent weather and the beaches...great value for such beautiful water!

Great vacation

Resort was very nice.Grounds were always kept clean.Staff was very friendly!! Pool area and pool bar was great however there was some seaweed on the beaches.There could have been a few more chairs around the pool.Room's had a good view of the ocean.

Exactly what we all need!

We stayed from Feb. 24 to Mar. 03, 2015. Well maintained resort. Staff and service was excellent. Everything we asked for we got. Enjoyed the 'no reservation required' a-la-carte restaurants and was pleasantly surprised to see that the staff politely enforced male dress codes! Pool and beach areas were well set up and kept clean. A little disappointed in the fact that we had to get down to the pool or beach by 6:30 to get a spot as nobody follows the do not reserve rules for loungers nor are the [... read more]y enforced, but at least we got to start the day early and watch the sunrise! Food was good. What we selected at the restaurants we enjoyed. At the buffet we usually took advantage of the grills and personally prepared dishes and were never disappointed. Overall great time, great weather and great resort
