Fun in the Sun in Cabo!

My wife and I spend 7 days at the Riu Palace in Cabo, and the entire experience was wonderful. The Resort had just recently re-opened after being remodelled. We found the resort in next to new condition. We had a Junior Suite (#1112) which had a gigantic bed, great bathroom, and a nice sitting area. The room was clean, well maintained and the fridge and bar was well stocked. Our room was on the "Activity Side" of the resort, so we could hear music from the Show Lounge in the evening up until i [... read more]t closed at 11pm. The buffets for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner were quite good. There was lots of variety and everything we tried tasted good. We attended all of the ala carte restaurants except the Mexican one. We enjoyed all of them as the food and service was great. We found that the swimming pools were a bit cool, not sure if they were heated???

Pretty nice

For first time vacationers, it was great. Clean and well maintained, friendly staff. One waiter, we dreaded getting (Raúl) in the buffet area. Poolbar staff wasn't very attentive. 24hr bar Bartender, the best!

Ok for first time

Not knowing what to expect. Resort itself was lovely, clean well maintained. But the thought of going the buffet with the rude waiters turned us off (Raúl). The pool bar staff was not very attentive..

Okay for our first time

We didn't know what to expect. Very clean, well maintained resort. We were having a great time until we had to eat at the buffet. Waiters ruined it especially Raúl. Along with the poolbar staff, who catered to the rowdy white people.

Alright for first a first vacation

The whole resort was lovely. It was our first time going to a resort and wasn't sure what to expect. Housekeeping/rm service top notch. However, the waiters in the buffet area, Terrible especially Raul. As well as the pool bar staff.

A Beautiful Paradise

The Riu Palace Hotel is a beautiful and elegant resort. My family and I went to Los Cabos for a break from reality. We had an awesome time and I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It was clean and the staff were courteous and efficient.

Great Vacation

The hotel was good, service was amazing. Friendly staff that worked hard to make it very comfortable for the guests. Rooms were in need of a little updating but really not a problem at all. Restaurants offered a great selection of quality food.

Amazing service and location!

The service is amazing. The pools are great and the view is superb. The excursions are easy to find and safe. There is so much to do. The people and the architecture really does its best to make your stay perfect. The night theater is incredible. They all work so hard in the heat.

RIU Fabulous

The Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas was fabulous. Beyond excellent staff, so clean, variety of foods, entertainment, never a boring moment. Sit at the quiet pool on a slow day and then the action pool when you are ready to party. Such a variety of drinks to enjoy at the poolbar or just sitting around. The Camel ride excursion was fun not to mention the Tequila tasting during our authentic Mexican lunch. Great staff there. Be prepared to pay large for pictures on the camel though. Amazing Resort!!!!

The Hotel is exceptional. Great decor, very clean and typically great service. There is lot's to do but I went there to relax and did just that. Food was also the best I've had in my 30 + years of traveling

Trip of a Lifetime!

WOW! The RIU Palace was amazing! Not one negative aspect. The food, resort, cleanliness, staff, weather, booze & excursions were all so perfect. My 18 yr old daughter and I went for a week and we met so many people and made so many unforgettable memories. To win a trip would be perfect, our last getaway before she attends college. Great resort

Great food, rooms good grounds fantastic. Great location with easy walk to cabo by beach if you wanted. Short cab ride if needed, only thing that would be better is a walk in shower instead of shower/tub combo.

5 Star Riu Palace

Beautifully kept hotel. Beautiful scenery/views. Delicious and plentiful food and drink. Lots of stairs on the property. A little too far from town to walk. Ocean/sea is too rough to swim most days. CDTA

Perfect Family Trip

We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers and traveled during March, 2016. This hotel was perfect for us. We had 2 rooms together with an ocean view which worked very well for our stay. The grounds are immaculate and service was fantastic. The purpose of our trip was primarily to escape, relax and unwind. This was a gorgeous spot to accomplish this. Location was very good for water activities and taking the water taxi to the arc.

Beautiful resort

The reception area is open, breezy and very welcoming. The hallways to the rooms have open windows so you can enjoy the views on the walk to your room - yes, there are elevators between floors. The rooms themselves are wonderful with comfortable beds, a/c and ceiling fans. The cleaning staff keep everything very clean. I have only one small complaint about the bathroom -- the shaving mirror is set for a 6 foot tall male. I'm a 5 foot female with bad eyesight and found it very difficult putting o [... read more]n makeup for the evenings. For meals we usually ate at the buffets. These always had a large variety with something for everyone. Loved the fresh ripe fruit. A real treat for us northerners in the winters. The two larger pools are great, one for those who want to be more active and play games and a quiet one for relaxing. The small kids pools are great for the younger holidayers. The beach is immaculate tho you can't always swim there depending on the undertow that day. The staff is friendly and always busy making you feel welcome or keeping things spotless. Very clean good food

It was in the smaller side of resorts that I'd stayed at previous but I felt it lacked in activities and entertainment but overall like anywhere always room for improvement, and beach very clean, but not safe for swimming

Very good accomodation

A super vacation spot, however, activities away from the resort are not readily accessible. The hotel should establish shuttle service to the nearest town. Needs a better set-up for making reservations in the restaurants.

Great trip

Overall the resort was beautiful and well maintained. Pools were clean and the staff worked hard to keep up the resort. The food and staff were good. Only real downfall for us was we thought the night time entertainment was lacking. The 24hr snack bar could use an update as well. Close to downtown Cabo and sight seeing. So overall a great resort and vacation.

Great hotel for a family or with friends....

Everything (except **) was great, esp. the dining and wining....extremely clean, polite servers, beautiful pool... ** - could do with some more mexican music and entertainment...that disco stuff is so routine these days.....!!!!

Beautiful place

Was awesome. Food, pools, wonderful evenings and amazing service. Always outside with the ocean view-amazing. And the beach-perfect to go for walk plus you can see the Arch from your window. Really recommend this resort. It was my third visit at Riu but this one was the best.
