Lower your expectations

Unfortunately, we paid good money and went in ready to spend more. There was mould on the walls and ceilings and no one seemed to care. The furniture was older and well used, the ceilings and walls had cracks in them and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Overall it was a big let down. It was safe and fairly quiet, but definitely not worth the money we paid. The food was decent but repetitive. Unfortunately I doubt that we will ever be back.

Fabulous Resort

Beautifully kept resort. Lots to do. Or do nothing at all and just relax by the pool. Many pools to choose from. Lots of activities to do if you choose to. Loved the evening shows. The buffet restaurant was my favourite. I will definitely be back.

Perfect time in Cabo as always

Trip went smooth like butter, could not complain about a thing from time time of booking to getting home. Experience more wildlife and surrounding areas this time. Beautiful chunk of Mexico with the most amazing people 👌🏻

Love this resort

Can’t say enough about this resort. That is why this last 2 week vacation there for my wife and I was our seventh year in a row and we plan to return next year too. We love taking the local bus to downtown Cabo and the Marina. The great variety of food is wonderful and the staff is always trying to please you.The night shows are awesome too.

5 star experience

Clean. Great food especially the steak house Beaches are a little gnarly but that is cabo for ya Loved it. Pretty short walk to cabo by beach or take the mexican adventure meaning the public bus for one dollar. It was super fun at the warf and cabo wabo which is owned by sammy hagar

Wonderful Resort

Hotel was very nice and very nice people working there. The a la carts were a little strange as you could not book ahead and most nights could not get in. Beach is beautiful but you cannot swim there.

Very nice resort

The grounds are very well kept and were in great condition . The layout is big but very easy to get around and everything is laid out well . We stayed in building 2 and I thought this was a good location because it was not a lot of foot traffic in front of our room and we were closest to the beach and the main entertainment area and and not subject to any noise.

Good holiday

We loved the grounds and the pools. The beach looked great and was good to go for walks on but the under tow was too strong to swim. Our room was large and comfortable. Our main complaint was the hallway in our building had a terrible smell. Service was good.

Great Resort- only picky people will complain about this place

We stayed at the Riu Santa Fe the last week of October. My girlfriend and I absolutely loved the resort, it has everything you need. The rooms are great, fully stocked fridge and decent bed. Maid service was good as well, we ask for the maid every other day and always tip and had no issues with anyone tampering with our stuff. The bartenders  [... read more]work hard to keep you happy. The food was good as well. Again, nothing to call home about but you will always find something you like. The people that say the food is bad are either extreme foodies or very picky and only eat burgers and fries which aren't good. The only issue we had is that only one a la cart restaurant is open per night even though they advertise that they have 4. You have to arrive right at 6pm to get a reservation for the night even though they say no reservations. The beach is swimmable depending on the day. One day the waves were 10 feet high, another day they were none existent. Use your judgement. I would advise to get a room in building 4 or 5 because you will be right in the middle of everything. Overall great experience at this resort and would go again.

Great view!

It wasn't very busy when we went which was nice. Food was average but the steak house was amazing. The view of the arch from the pools was gorgeous. Unfortunately we weren't able to go in the ocean while we were there, but the pools made up for it. Also a very short cab ride into town for the day or excursions.

Great stay!

Views from the pool can't be beat, forbidden from swimming in the ocean due to strong undertow, grounds were well maintained (couldn't even tell Tropical Storm Lidia went through a month prior), hotel was clean and rooms were clean but hallway smelled like vomit all week, food in general was good but I got sick after eating at the Asian a la carte.

Wonderful resort

Because of the storm Lydia I have the inspiration for only 2 days of my weeklong vacation. It was all very nice until the second day of the vacation when the storm started. The food was very delicious and in great abundance. The staff who cared for us were very friendly and entertained us all the time. My only point is that when it rains, water drips into the rooms.

Decent Resort but Terrible Service and Food

This resort was beautiful, great location and great accommodations. However the food on this resort was absolutely terrible, i expected better and was disappointed. Even the A La Carte restaurants were crap, not even close to being good. Also the service wasn't as good as I hoped, waited a long time to get little things done, like extra towels. The lifeguards constantly keep ppl from going inside because of the danger.Aside from all that, had a lot of fun at the resort...but would def pick another place to stay at next time im in Cabo.

Party Central

Hotel was really nice. It was clean and well kept. Food was good with good variety. Pools where nice. Staff were friendly. The pools by the beach was the party place for young people who got rather drunk and noisy. Our room was good but we where kept up every night till after 2:00am. With people either partying or fighting. One night it lasted till 5:00am till the music and screaming finally stopped. Always enjoy a good party and the sights but this was a bit much at times.

First time to Cabo!

The hotel was very nice and clean. Everything was well organized and staff were very friendly. Drinks could have been better/more consistent. They varied from bar to bar. Enjoyed the view of the beach from the pools a lot!! Food was okay. About 8/10. The tortilla soup was excellent and we really enjoyed the fresh tacos from the square!

Great Resort

The Resort was clean and easy to get around ,No problem finding fresh food ,lots of fruits. I would recommend this resort to anyone . Party central for sure ,so not as much for young children to do ,Easy to get into the downtown area for a walk around and 15 min down the beach is an area that you can swim .

Good Hotel if you want to party

Enjoyed my stay here, however if you are looking for quiet this is not the best pick. Perfect for if you want to party and a place to rest your head at night. The food and views were really good. Lots of variety. Hotel is close to downtown, $14 USD unless there are more people in the cab.

Great vacation!!!

Was hesitant at first as rooms appeared dated but they were so clean that it made up for the older decor. Food was good. Large variety. Pools were great. 4 on total. Drinks plentiful and good. Staff were friendliest I have ever seen. Close to town and can walk it on the beach. Water too rough to swim but 5-10 min walk to the right has a roped off area to swim. We did and it was great.

It was great.

It's quite a nice hotel. They changed our room without any problems. Our 1st room faced the back and we wanted morning sun and a view. Sports bar made awesome cappacinos (with bailey's of course). Bldg 7 and the infinity pool was really young and not our cup of tea but the middle pools were great. Overall I would go back but had issues at the airport with the scam artists in security. They can take your money without any recourse and they will tie you up until you pay. You'd think will all thei [... read more]r bad press they may welcome visitors more.

Party resort.

Hotel was nice. Well kept and great scenery. Food was ok. Nothing special. Front desk staff were very inconsistent and not helpful when issues arose such as problems with rooms ie... two twin beds pushed together and calling it a king bed.. not accept. Took 3 days to change rooms to a proper king bed. Beach was not great. Vendors harrased you all day of you sat down there and there is no escaping it. They set up directly in Front of resort so you can't even see the water as they stand in  [... read more]Front of beach chairs. Drug deals galore on the beach. Not safe to swim as waves are to big all the time Pool bars are full of 20 years olds drunks all day partying to hard. Good resort of you want to go get smashed, party, do drugs and not relax. If you want to relax do not go here.
