Everything was great had a good time the pool was awesome and the dinners were great along with the buffet pool bar couldn’t get enough of it beach had a lot of seaweed but the hot dogs and burgers every day were great also

Amazing Resort

Second trip to the Ambar and it's totally awesome here. The one negative thing I can say about my recent trip was a lack of service staff at the Sports Bar. This is a popular hangout but this time there were only 2 waitresses to serve the whole bar. We had to leave, twice, because our waitress never came back with our drink order. Other than that, 5 stars for absolutely everything else. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing Resort Luxury Ambar

WHERE" to start and "HOW" to start saying THANK YOU. Also how grateful and blessed I am to have spent even a week with all of you at the BAHIA PRINCIPE in PUNTA CANA, especially at the LUXURY AMBAR. Pristine Resort

The hotel, grounds, all amenities, where, in immaculate condition. The staff were very accommodating and extremely friendly. The meals at the à la cart, restaurants, and the buffets were top-notch. it was nice to have top shelf liquor.

Bahia Principe’ Luxury Ambar Hey Hey!

This gated resort jewel nestled in the heart of Punta Cana is everything you hoped a luxury resort could be. Amazing, attentive, friendly staff, clean premises, spectacular tropic setting, all accompanied with a feeling of safety and security. From the moment you arrive you feel a part of the Bahia Principe Family. This adults only resort has an amazing buffet 3 times a day plus a plethora of ala carte restaurants. We highly recommend El Olivo on the Aqua Marine site as well. Our family of six stayed for 8 days. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were tidied wonderfully every day. The only disappointment we encountered was the beach. I’m not sure if it’s a year round issues, but the seaweed at the beach is other-worldly. We had to wade through 20 feet of it, a couple of feet deep, to get to the ocean. Lovely sand and lounges, huts, and cabanas, but the seaweed was atrocious. That’s the only reason we can’t give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing Resort

This is the first solo trip and I’m very happy I went to this resort in that wonderful destination. I have no complaints whatsoever and I look forward of coming back in the future. Everything was top notch!!!!

AMAZING RESORT.

Exceptional and Incredible Resort. Amenities and Services was above and beyond our expectations. Unique vacation experience, great adult resort. Lovely Beach Front view close to all amenities. Location, and cleanliness was excellent. At the Main Buffett everyday consisted of a different theme. Abundance of food, pastries and fruits. Coffee shop and sports bar is a must. A FUN TIME AT AN AMAZING RESORT

I’d like to shout out to Albert from the Lobby bar, Jerimias and Jesus at front desk, the Entertainers Jose, Carlos, Braynel, Edwin, Rayki and so many more. JEAN (cart driver) WE LOVE YOU❤️. This was a girls trip and we felt so safe w the staff from their kindness and joyfulness. I am already thinking of the next trips and to go back! The entertainment on the resort was 10/10! Best resort with the best entertainment staff!

My favourite part was the entertainment staff, especially José, who made me feel so welcomed and excited for each new day! He truly made me feel like my vacation was too short! I will certainly be back as soon as possible and hope that he will be hosting more activities!!! He knows how to work the crowd! The food, the rooms, the pool and the beach all exceeded my expectations.

Honeymoon

We recently stayed at the Ambar for our honeymoon and it was nothing short of a great week! The grounds are gorgeous and so well kept, the staff were friendly and quick to help out whenever you needed. The rooms were very nice and recently updated. Then mini fridge was slightly warm but the drinks in it were still somewhat cool. We ate at 2 of the restaurants M.E.A.T and the Italian, both were excellent. We spent a lot of time at the pool area and the service was excellent! Marlena was amazing and kept bringing our drinks in a timely fashion. The entertainment staff were exceptional! Edwin and Tony were fantastic! They were so friendly and kind and made sure we had a great time along with lots of laughs! We will for sure be returning!

Beautiful resort!

Beautiful resort & beautiful , friendly people! We travelled with some family as well & had a fantastic time! Resort was well maintained & employees were very friendly, efficient & kind. Food was very good , especially the MEAT restaurant.

Amazing resort

Food was good, drinks were great, staff was amazing and friendly, and the resort was very clean! Love how all the resorts are connected so there shuttles take you to the others in seconds. Nice small shops at the resort with a cool coffee shop as well.

Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar

The hotel was all I could ask for! Amazing hotel, beautiful beach, friendly staff! Everything you need in an all-inclusive was done perfectly here! I’m definitely referring this location to all my friends!

Just OK

First of all, Covid is the thing of the past at the Bahia. No talk of Covid, no masks. Everything back to normal. This was our 3rd time at the Bahia. We went as a family group of 7 adults, with my sister and her husband's 21st stay there. The Esmerelda was our first choice, but it was under construction, so we stayed at the Amber. We would not stay there again especially for the money we paid for the time we stayed in our rooms. We thought the rooms were to clinical (White). We missed the colo [... read more]r of Punta Cana. The bed spread with colorful palm trees. The colored walls. The Service was great and very clean. With being at an adult pool, we expected more music and more activities. We had more fun at the Punta Cana pool. The lobby was ok. We visited other lobbies and felt more comfortable than Amber lobby. Other lobbies had a water station that we could help ourselves. It was very hot and not always a waitress around in the daytime. Overall, we had a great time. We noticed other sections of the resort being shut down for renovations. I hope they don't lose the flavor of punta cana.

Bahia Principe Ambar

Our vacation didn’t get off to a great start as Air Canada changed planes and moved our seating that we paid extra for and my wife and I couldn’t even sit with her. As for the resort it was excellent. The food was good, our room was clean and our fridge was always full.We never had a problem getting al a carte restaurant’s all were good. The only criticism is chairs by the pool we’re hard to get as people got up early and put out towels on chairs and then went to the beach or back to be [... read more]d. With credit to the resort they would monitor the chairs and remove the towels that were not being used.The other problem was the swim up pool bars was so poorly run. It opens at 10am with the workers not showing until 10. They never had vodka,CC or even Rum most day until after 11 or after. We always tip but the didn’t seem appreciative and couldn’t even keep track of people’s order. Our only saving grace was the girl taking drink order by the pool ( Adelaida)was the best as she would to other bars to get our drinks.

Luxury at its best

The resort was amazing. We liked our room it was large, clean and had everything that we needed. The resort supplied robes, slippers, shampoo, conditioner body wash, body lotion, iron and hair blower. The service, food and entertainment was great. We were very pleased with everything this resort offered. I would love to go back and visit this resort again!

Surprising resort

Expecting 5-star, Adult ONLY, ALL inclusive resort - however, connected to 5 other resorts. Too large, children nearby, including in restaurants, extra costs for some menu items and drinks, evening shows at other location at a cost. Restaurant reservations had to be made online and not available. A lot of areas where language was a barrier - everything had to be done on apps, which would be good to know ahead of time. Rooms quite nice, except for lack of shower privacy. Our swim out room wa [... read more]s nice, however, located along service route of noisy vehicles all day - so not so tranquil (Rm 62103). Overall, nice and thankful to be away but a little disappointed with it as a whole - initial advertising wasn't forthcoming.

Loved this resort!

We travelled early April 2023 to this resort for a week. The weather was perfect around 28 to 29 celsius every day. The grounds were pristine, our room was kept very clean and the bar kept well stocked by our awesome housekeeper, Nertania. The pool area was busy however the lounges around the deck were not allowed to be saved. Staff allowed vacationers an hour to return to their lounges or towels were removed. There is quite a number to book from but book early on arrival as time slots go very quickly. We had a room with a swim up pool which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely go back to this resort if we decide on Punta Cana again!

Beautiful

If you are thinking of booking one of the Bahia Principe resorts, this is the one to pick --- it is on the ocean, unlike Aquamarine or Grand Bavaro which you have a long walk or have to ask for a ride on the little bellhop cart to get to the beach. I stayed in a "swim up" room: each Villa has about 10 rooms on the ground floor that open up to a small, semi-private pool that sits between the villa and the main path leading down to the beach. Technically the pool is a long strip shared by all t [... read more]he rooms, but the decks have dividers between them so you can easily ignore your neighbours. This was perfect for me since I like to sleep in while I'm on vacation, and the lounge chairs around the main pool area and on the beach fill up very early (people do that annoying thing of putting a towel on a chair to "claim" it while they go off to do something else for hours.) So the swim up room is quiet and private and has your own private chairs. If you want to socialize with other guests or be in a place with commotion and music then I'd say you don't need it ... but if you want to spend time by yourself or with your spouse without having to fight for a chair, then its perfect. One other thing ... the swim-up rooms are in shade for only about half the day (makes sense right), so when you check in, think about what time of day you want to be sitting by the pool and ask them to put you in a certain room. If you like to have shade in the morning, pick a west-facing room, and if you like shade in the afternoon, pick an east-facing room --- they have both.

Beautiful Resort

The Ambar resort is amazing. Beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need. Some of my favourites are; sports bar, coffee shop, lobby, and beach area. It’s a large resort with accessibility to some of the other hotels. We stayed in a swim up corner which was very comfortable. We used room service and was delighted how easy it was to order on their app. Our order came exactly the time selected on the app and was hot and tasty.
