Relax...Relax...Relax

From booking, to the flight, to the shuttle, to check in...... everything, was top notch. Everyone in the hotel was friendly, happy to help or just to say hello. The hotel was VERY clean, both inside and out. The hotel grounds were big but well laid out and something to do or see at every stop. The grounds were immaculate! the grass looks fake it is so nice... ( I did see them cutting it thou.... lol). The room was very clean and the housekeeper would make a different towel design everyday. The  [... read more]food at the buffet was actually really good, it was clean, well stocked and the wait staff were very nice. The a la cartes were pretty good, some of the food was very oily, but overall very happy. The bar staff were amazing! Funny, friendly and very helpful. The front desk staff greeted us with a glass of champagne, and upgraded our room as it was our honeymoon. They gave us a free romantic dinner on the beach at "Chill Out" bar which was not included in the package. After reviewing different websites to find the best price, I chose Tripcentral.ca and do not regret it one bit and will not change for all other future trips. I was helped by Doug Griffin, and cant say enough good this about my experience with him. Doug was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and helped us with choosing an unforgettable honeymoon!, that was also in our budget. Thank you Doug for your help, and I look forward to discussing our next vacation. Overall.... AMAZING.... and would definitely go back

Beautiful spot

This Tesort was massive ... A 10 min walk from Lobby to beach or a shuttle to take you. The "kids /teen club is really geared to young children... Kids over the age of 10 likely won't use the amenities. The hotel should have a tween and teen club ... My kids 10,12,16 all spend their evenings at the sports bar where they could order nachos and fries over a game of pool ! There were to a of kids their age doing the same. We had to move rooms the first night as our room smelled horribly musty. [... read more].. While the hotel accommodated the change we had to check out of our room by noon and were without a room until 3pm... A huge inconvenience. Many of the pools had tiles that were loose at the bottom of the pool. But the pools were otherwise large and very clean. There was little information on night life and we only really managed to catch one evening show... In our welcome package the hotel should have done better to say what was happening each night. The food was great having the swim out pool was amazing and I'm the kids club we had our own bartender who even made icecream for the kids !

Great family resort

Convinient for family with kids, good food, a lot of space fo walk, good beach, clean We got swim out room which is awesome for parents who has infants. Huge selection of drinks . Nice evening program.

Super Amazing!!

I just travelled to the Grand Riviera Princess last week (May 21 - 28) with my 31 year old daughter and it was absolutely fabulous!!!! The room was spacious and clean! The washroom was very well set out for the two of us! The meals were all delicious and the variety was great! The specialty restaurants were amazing especially the steak! We spent all of our time at the beach which was beautiful! The staff was so friendly and helpful!!! We would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone!  [... read more] Love love loved it!

Fun in the sun!

Nice resort. Lots of walking which is not a problem unless you have mobility issues. We were a little disappointed in the beach. Rocky entry with some seaweed but that was the same as the other Mayan Rivieria resort we stayed at. Lots of pool choices but you have to get there fairly early for loungers. The resort was full when we were there so that may be why. We found the food to be good. Lots of variety so we always found something to eat. Al a carts were okay but really disliked the reservati [... read more]on system for this. We were allowed to book three al a carts at a time. Stood in line for one hour and pretty much had to take what was available instead of what we would have chosen. Only one girl working the reservation desk and she was also answering the phone and another employee standing watching her. That would be my only complaint about this resort. In my opinion the al a carts were not worth the hour of my vacation time spend in line. I would go back if the price was right but too many other places I would like to see before I would return.

Medicore resort

Beach was small and water was murky. The bartenders and servers were slow and seemed disinterested in serving customers even with tip incentive. A lot of unexpected extra charges that the resort did a poor job of disclosing added on. Pool was nice with lots of areas including sun and shade. Rooms were exceptional and always well maintained. Gym facility was small and had no variety of equipment. overall the pool restaurants and rooms were the best part of our experience at this resort. We would  [... read more]not return.

Very clean and beautiful resort

Excellent property and great food. The staff where very pleasant and help full and the room was spacious well appointed. On the second day in you should not have any trouble booking an alacart restaraunt though. And I did not like that two alacarts were pre booked for us by the resort because we were with a big group and they were all different. That was a minor thing though. Beyond Expectations!!!

The hotel is grand, palace-like. It us modern, tropical and very well kept. The staff go above and beyond! The food was great! The beautifully appointed buffets had different themes every night. We even had plates of lobster tail on seafood night. There is always an enormous food sene toon to satisfy every person. I can't say enough great things!!!! Our room was fresh and clean. The housekeeping staff created towels folded into animals for my kids every day. Unbelievable!

Better than expected for a big resort.

My wife & I just returned from a 7 day stay & we were quite pleased with the resort. Service was good, beach was almost 5 star, pools & pool bars were also great, buffet food was better than expected & restaurants were a good 4 star. If you are looking for complaints....there were none that really bothered us. WiFi was iffy at best,& mattresses were a little hard for us so if that's all we have to complain about I'd say it was a great holiday:)

Monster size resort

Good choice in terms of value, but the resort is quite large and you have to contend with crowds everywhere you go. Food is pretty good though and you can't go wrong with the buffets. The are quite a few a la carte restaurants like Japanese, sushi, French, Swiss, and teppanyaki, all very good and you are free to book as many as you want, as long as you book them in advance. The best feature of the resort is the pools, there are so many to choose from depending on your mood. We had a swim up room [... read more] with direct access to the pool from our balcony. It was well worth the upgrade. Beach is a little disappointing, it's brown and has seaweed and rocks. Overall a decent choice resort if you are cost conscious, but there are definitiey better places if you are willing to pay more.

Very disappointed

The hotel itself is nice. Entertainment was good. Aside from that it was a terrible experience. A lot of the staff look angry all the time. The rooms are ok. The food was terrible, the buffet was the same pretty much all week. The food was always cold including the alacarts. I did not enjoy even 1 good meal. Trolly service only operates on one side of the hotel or the other. They do not cross over so you have to always walk from one side of the resort to the other. This is difficult as i have mo [... read more]bility issues. the grounds are insainly dangerous. I seen at least 30 people wipe out on the slippery surfaces throughout the entire resort including my wife. Some were injured pretty badly. The whole air canada rouge was a disappointment. So you know. When your booking it all says air canada. Once you book it shows it is actually air canada rouge. The bar service varied you get drinks in one spot that they cannot make in another. The smell going down by the beach is absalutley disgusting. This was my fifth trip second to mexico. I would not return to the grand princess ever. I stayed at grand sirenis last year and that resort i booked through transat holidays was absalutley fantastic. I would highly recommend grand sirenis to anyone. I did not talk to anyone at the princess who enjoyed their stay and i could not wait for my week to be over so i could get out of this resort. Buyer beware you do not get what you pay for at this reaort. I will be sticking wit transat holiday in the future and will never consider another air canada holiday.

Great staff

Great Facility amazing staff. Food was awful for the most part. 2 out of 5 ala carts were good the other three were horrible. Sold wifi for 68 US dollars a week and it barely worked any where if at all in the resort. When I complained they shrugged there shoulders.

Grand Riviera Princess 2015

The Hotel was spectacularly Large... Everything was great.. People, Grounds, Amenities, Food. It was a distance to get from Lobby to Platinum, but I was right on the beach, so pick your battle. I appreciated the exercise to walk off all the food & Drinks.

Beautiful paradise

It's a Grand resort with it marble and white structures. The grounds are beautiful with trees and flowers. Lots of pools and places to cover yourself from the sun. Food is great and lots of variety. Staff is pleasant and dedicated to their work.

Very big resort....amazing!

I went on November 1st with my children, they are young adults, it was our first time in Mexico.....beautiful resort! the staff was very helpful and polite! For me at my age, it was too big but my daughters enjoyed it very much! My daughters said they would go back but for myself I would choose a smaller resort.....:)

Gorgeous Resort, Superb Theatre Shows

This resort is large with many beautiful pools. The well manicured grounds are gorgeous with many unique statues and walkways, perfect for walks. The buffet has a great selection as well as a different theme every night.

Utopia

My daughter and I, had the opportunity to stay at the resort for five nights. Our only regret was, that we had not booked the trip for the full week. The minute we entered into the resort, we were greeted by, courteous staff, we felt extremely comfortable at the resort our entire stay. The rooms were clean, modern and well located. The food, was amazing. Never, Have we had so many pools to pick from. We definitely would recommend this vacation resort.

Very Nice Resort

My wife and I visited the Grand Riviera Princess on April 22, 2015. We were very happy with our stay. The service was excellent.. from the front desk staff to the room service waiter, we were treated very well. We stayed on the Riviera side of the resort, in a deluxe suite. The room was fine but a bit tired. The beds were very hard which made for a difficult night sleep. The bathroom had a leaky shower which could pose potential danger if you weren't careful. Water on a marble floor isn't a good [... read more] combination. The resort has several nice pools. A good mix of more lively/party pools and quieter ones if you are just looking to relax. We didn't spend much time at the beach but it was beautiful. The food in the buffet restaurants was great for our tastes. We didn't try any a la cartes as we weren't interested in keeping to any schedule. Other travelers that we met seemed to enjoy the Japanese the most. The beach had a snack bar where you could make a burger or nachos etc. Overall, we had a nice trip. We would go back.

Great Resort

Grounds are beautiful and very well kept. Beach is sandy for most part but a bit rocky in places. Staff are wonderful. Rooms are beautiful, very clean. Resort is very large a lot of walking required. Buffets are very good, lots of variety. No issues booking al la carte's, we could do as many as we wanted without question.

Nice resort

Huge resort which we loved, lots of exploring. Beautiful grounds and nice spacious rooms. The food is about a 7/10. Not horrible at all but not gourmet. Service was fantastic everywhere. Upgraded to the Platinum suites and would highly recommend it, worth every penny in my opinion. Be careful when walking around the resort, the pathways are very slippery when wet or dry.
