Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Great Resort

The hotel I was great, the rooms were clean and roomy, staff were amazing and friendly, shout out to Yoseet. At the pool bar, a la carts were yummy, resort beautiful and breach stunning , grounds were very clean and tidy, entertainment in Lobby was great, lots of local talent on the instruments

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: True paradise

Amazing resort with so much elegance and class. It is an older resort but very charming. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by very professional and friendly Sesia , front desk conciege. We were upgraded to ocean view room, which was amazing. Room are very spacious and bright, cleaned daily . Everything worked in our room. We had hot water and electricity without any interruption. People in the buffet were exceptional and friendly. Everyone was wonderful, but exceptional were Jaima, Mayra and Jamile , cleaning Lady in the buffet . Workers on the beach were also wonderful. Every worker was exceptional and worked so hard to make our stay pleasant. We had an abundance of delicious food..everything was fresh and tasty.. there was a lot of see food, I personally don't eat see food, but saw many people enjoying it. Entertainment personal worked very hard daily . It was a pleasure to meet Osmani. Beaches are absolutely mesmerizing..True paradise..no seaweeds, just crystal clear water . You simply enjoy and relax. Absolutely amazing place. Would highly recommend it and definitely will be back

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Good resort

Good resort. Grounds are well maintained. Food was OK, always something to eat. I didn't like the open buffet due to food being exposed to flies. Beach was very beautiful. Staff not very friendly. Long bus ride. I did get sick, so remember to bring gravol and imodium.

Melia Las Dunas: Another wonderful trip

My husband I just returned form Melia Las Dunas for the 9th time on May 5th. We love the resort and the people in it. The hotel may be getting a little older now and has a few small issues, but it could never out way the amazing time you will have here. Our hearts are with the hard working, people pleasing staff that are there. Special shout outs to Kirenia and her amazing hubby Oramyee, Yusleidy, Andry, Yohanan, Diego and Tony. Melia Buenavista: Great staff but changes needed

The staff at Melia Buenavista were the best part of the resort. So friendly! Beaches were beautiful. Really enjoyed the aqua fit in the pool. So fun! Unfortunately there is no designated smoking section so we were surrounded by smokers especially during the evening entertainment. Chicken legs every night on the menu and little to no vegetables. Rice was always the side. I understand about the shortages in Cuba but I wish the reviews we read were more honest. The 2 bathrooms near the lobby [... read more] bar and restaurants usually had no toilet paper or soap, or the toilets just weren’t working. Ran out of hot water the day before we left. Lovely staff but this resort needs change.

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Was ok

we where at dhawa last week and as we book last January grand sireninis 2 very different resorts dhawa we ate the same thing all week 1 a la carte and was the same options as the buffet and buffet was close that night as this was a first for some of our family was really upsetting since grand sirenis had much more to offer food wise and entertainment dhawa had no entertainment during the day and at night was a 20-30 minute show wich I understand with the number of people there stag was good  [... read more]pool bar was awesome lobby so so all in all we had a good week but don’t think we would go back and was disappointing for our first time travellers

Valentin Perla Blanca: Resort on its way down

The people were amazing. Kind, and ready to help. The food was poor. At times it tasted like it was from the day before. The beef is tough. At times no vinegar available. Bananas not available. I was not impressed by the food in the à la carte restaurants Toilet paper and soap not available in the toilets on the ground, so bring your own. What was available: eggs, at times boiled. Memories Paraiso: Not What It Used to Be

I loved Cuba years ago, but this visit to Memories Paraiso was disappointing. The resort felt empty and sad, with tired staff and poor food. Even after being upgraded to Grand Memories, the experience didn’t improve. The buildings are rundown, the beach was messy, and there was little for my kids (young adults) to enjoy. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Good resort

The resort is beautiful; the rooms are nice, pleasantly sirprised with good quality shower equipment. Floor to ceiling mirror in the room is a pleasant feature. We had a 3rd bed in a room for our daughter, but this only good for a smaller kids, for a bigger person it' too flimsy, but the regular beds are good. Especially should mention Monday show "Michael Jackson". Really high level group with amazing choreography, we stayed 2 weeks and enjoyed the show twice. Last, but not least, the food was better than I expected after hearing stories of pasta-only choices in some resorts. Eggs, sausage, pancakes, pastry, very decent cheese and cold cuts, fresh and cooked vegetables, yogurt and kefir, juices for breakfast. Fish, beef liver and ground beef, pork and chicken drumsticks, lots of pasta , rice, and beans, cooked vegetables and pineapples, soup, pastry for lunch and dinner, always decent selection of fresh fruits. Not a high end restaurant taste, but very decent. Coffee didn't impress, I had better coffee in Cuba before, but the Cuban Coffee made artistically in the lobby after dinner is really good. Internet is available everywhere even on the beach Overall, a good vacation.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Absolutely wonderful!!!

It was very lovely, staff was very friendly and liked that they took our canadian money for tips. The food was great, rooms were great, bar staff always smiling, lovely people. It was out 3rd time there, we will definitely be back. Thank you

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Birthday in Cuba

Beautiful spot. Very clean resort, with friendly staff. Awesome beach, calm warm water we spent most of our time enjoying the beach ! We booked the resort to celebrate a birthday, the hotel went out of their way to make us feel special, they prepared a table at the restaurant with vip treatment many thanks to the staff for taking care of us, this was our first visit to Grand Sirenis we had the most amazing time!

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Nice Time

The Royalton was a nice resort to spend our time. The beach other than Royalton patrons was very quiet and empty. It seemed the other resorts had much less travellers. The food was fine and they made extra effort on our last night which was greatly appreciated. Staff was friendly and accommodating with all request, except one. Beach was beautiful the water was very wavy as the winds were strong for the entire week we were there 20 plus kph. The attached market connecting to memories was  [... read more]almost deserted everyday due to the lack of visitors. I was disappointed given my late flight at 4:50pm that they didn't accommodate for my request for a later check out. Currently having a medical issue to manage, resting is very important and this request was denied and absolutely no extension was provided. This made my trip home more difficult. Given that i came on a late checkin past 9pm and cleaning staff work until 5pm. This didn't see reasonable to me. The night entertainment was typical of resorts with one night being much better than the others. The resorts needs some upkeep especially bathrooms near the quiet pool. Overall we had a lovely time.

Only positive is service was good and rooms were clean The food was horrible and there were major shortages. No it’s not a Cuba thing as other resorts had plenty of food. No bread or flour products for 4 days. No rice for 2 days. No juice, yogurt etc etc. rooms are dated to the point of the bathroom door rotting off 1/4 of the way up. Mold in tub area. Drinks were limited and no pina colada’s. Like really?????

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Perfect for pool lovers

This was my first stay in the Cayo Santa Maria area. The price was right for 2 weeks. Adult pool was the best. I am a beach person, however due to the amount of biting bugs in this area I avoided the beach. Not good for swimming. There is alot of vegetation and sharp rocks in the water. Water shoes are a must. However great for a beach walk. Staff are friendly and helpful if you have a translation app. Many spoke little English, it was difficult to communicate the simplest conversation. Dr [... read more]inks and coffees were inconsistant. The beer was always good. Daily fresh fruit, salad bar, bread, and pasta were good. Otherwise, few food selections compared to many Cuban resorts I visited. Bring your salad dressing. The nightly lobby entertainment was good, the Micheal Jackson show was excellent. The nightly rolled out cart bar in the lobby served the best spanish coffee. The weather was perfect, breezy in the evenings so you never felt smothered by the heat. The spa experience was so enjoyable. The massage was the best.

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Good resort

The layout is nice, adult side and family side…..was quiet when I was there but I could see it being very active with more people…. The shows…usually I could not care less about them….but the Michael Jackson show was excellent…. The crew working in the resort….pretty much keep things going and are ever engaging … Food…well it is Cuba…but better than the last 3 Cuban resorts i been to.

Melia Las Dunas: A favourite of mine

Love Las Dunas! Have been there many times-recent visit a week ago. The white sandy beach is beautiful, there are plenty of lounges all with shade and the bar is just steps away. Both the adult and child pools are gorgeous and have bars with refreshments for all. In my opinion the huge front lobby is the best ever-plenty of seating for everyone, an excellent bar, entertainment throughout the day and evening at different locations. The best part of your visit will be the staff who excel in making sure your stay at Melia Las Dunas is top notch.

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Amazing atmosphere

All areas of the hotel are modern, clean and comfortable. The pool is beautiful, it was perfect for our family with children ranging from 3 months to 12 years. The beach is a far walk from the family section but the water was shallow and calm for the kids. It’s great for snorkeling but I recommend water shoes. Chino at the pool bar made special kid friendly drinks for the kids daily, he made their vacation very special.

Paradisus Los Cayos: Beautiful resort great staff

The grounds were very well kept restaurants for decent. The japanese is the best, like every resort definitely recommend staff, very attentive.The rooms were very clean as well.........................

Iberostar Coral Ensenachos: Another awesome stay at the Coral Ensenachos

Our third consecutive year staying two weeks at the Coral. As expected the facilities are a little dated, but they are well maintained and very clean. The beach is spectacular and with the added shade, there is no issues with reserving beach chairs or needed to be there early. The staff are amazing, remembering your preferences and happy to say hi and ensure that you enjoying your stay. The resort is pretty quiet and there are a lot of returning guests, it’s becoming our Cubian spring home.
