The Rex Grenadian is great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the island! It is simple, the rooms have everything you need on vacation, the personnel is welcoming and caring:) the grounds are pretty.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: A Lovely Spot for a Quiet Holiday

The grounds of this resort are picturesque and well manicured. One can walk the white sand beach in the surf or sit in the shade of the palms and sea grapes. The pool which sits atop a hill by the sea catches the sun from dawn till sunset. Choice of food in the main dining room is not extensive, but what is served is excellent in quality and quantity. The resort buildings are extremely clean but could use some redecorating and updating. Guest rooms are quite adequate but often access to them requires climbing a considerable number of stairs. While there is some entertainment at the Rex Grenadian, this resort is generally a quiet place for those who want to sunbathe, read, and enjoy traditional dining.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Wonderful Welcome! Fantastic Overall!

Nice, safe grounds for walking around early or late. Lovely quiet beach for people who want to relax. The snorkling equipment was top notch and we saw lots of beautiful fish on the shallow coral reef. Dining facilities were clean and well laid out. The servers were excellent and entertaining at times. We enjoyed the healthy food choices and were thankful for no fried foods. The entertainment always seemed to stop around 10 PM except for the very extravagant New Year's Eve Party.

Sandals Grenada: good resort

Beautiful grounds and gardens. 5 minutes from the airport but a long check in period after a longer flight. Large, comfortable clean rooms. Spectacular food options especially the sushi, best we`ve had anywhere! Second choice was Butch`s, steak was heavenly, close 3rd choice, Le Jardin, romantic and dress up. Excellent food service ie Daniel. Wouldn't swim in the swim up bar pool, no fault of Sandals. Mix of a few people you`d see in the commercials and babba muggers, wide age range. You`d think that people spending this much on a vacation could afford some nice cloths. Diving very disappointing. Long wait times, disorganized, look after your own equipment if you take it. No nitrox, not a problem for us. Took 4 1/2 hours to do a 1 tank dive on the final day with transfers. Dive boat only leaves from the resort in good weather otherwise you are taxied to the marina in St. Georges. Spa was excellent, great service but unfortunately fell asleep 3/4 of the way through my massage, hate when that happens! Must do tour is the atv drive to the waterfall. 1/2 day blast. Beach a little disappointing with restricted access to open water with buoys and break-walls but nice sand bottom. Not a good location for snorkeling. Did not get the feeling of being 2nd class unless members/butler patrons had a smoother check in. Felt sorry for the butlers in formal attire with gloves in the heat and embarrassed for the guests requiring their service.

The Rex Grenadian is a smaller, older hotel that is situated on a spectacular, beautiful section of beach. We thought for a three star hotel it was okay. The rooms were clean but quite small and very dated. They could definitely use a makeover. Having said that we upgraded to a beachfront room and the view off of the small balcony was very beautiful. That is one of the things we liked best about this property is that because it is so small you get lots of opportunity to visit with the other travelers and get to know them. We met some very nice people on this holiday. We spent almost all our time at the resort on the beach or in the ocean. There are lots of big trees to sit under for shade, so much nicer than a palapa. The snorkeling there was very good right off the beach, probably as good as any resort snorkeling we have seen. The pool area was up high on a cliff overlooking the ocean and was very pretty. We never spent any time there but it looked lovely. Our biggest complaint would probably be the food. While it wasn't really bad it wasn't very good either. It was very plain, with little choice but we could always find something to eat. The barbecue night was very good though. Overall it was a very nice holiday and you get your moneys worth at this resort as it is a less expensive resort you shouldn't expect a five star holiday. For us the beautiful beach, good snorkeling, and good company made this a very good holiday.

Hi I had an amazing time it was very enjoyable. Grounds , dining staffs were wonderful. The only negative comment I have is the meals could of been better they need to prepare authentic Grenadian dishes being Grenadian I know what our food should taste like and foreigners need to experience that. One last thing there were no wash clothes in my room for that entire week, and there should be nightly entertainment.

The resort was great grounds beach pool area everything but more staff is needed to take guests to their room.And more staff training eg: customer service needs I provement Jamaica has the best customer service for their guest.

The hotel has the best location and grounds in Grenada but the hotel is in need of a major renovation. Rooms are outdated, bathtub is discoloured and leaks, water comes in the room when it rains. No washcloths provided when requested they only provided 1 per room and said they had none. The staff is great and try their best to make everyone happy so can't blame them for what the hotel is lacking.

Sandals Grenada: Great diving

The diving is some of the best we have done and the dive team is phenomenal, especially divemasters Kimshon and Gary who went above and beyond to make the dive trips memorable. They make every effort to take you to the sites you want to see and the optional special dives that cost a bit extra are completely worth the money. The food at the resort is great and the resort is nice in that it does not feel crowded and there are no peddlers on the beach. The things they could improve on is that th [... read more]ey push guests too much to book your next vacation while you are there and the sales pitch gets annoying while you are on your actual vacation. One guy approached me 2 times in 2 days with the exact same sales pitch just because I was sitting in the open area to the point where I had to tell him we had met, he already gave me the sales pitch the day before and I just wanted to enjoy my vacation. They also do this excessively during the Sandals Select welcome back dinner to the point of it losing its enjoyment of feeling like a special dinner for returning guests. If they could improve on this, they would be fantastic. We went for the diving and this exceeded our expectations so we had an absolutely fantastic time and the food is much higher quality than other Sandals Resorts we have visited. One other thing they need to stop though is fogging for bugs...they do it 2 times a day....I understand the worry for the Zika virus but this seems harmful to the ecosystem and potentially dangerous to guests, I would rather live with the flies.

Great location, beautiful beaches Breathtaking scenery and grounds. We were served a variety of dishes which included caribbean and north american dishes. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent.

The hotel was lovely, the grounds and scenery were spectacular. The menu was good but limited. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay. There is some entertainment and activities, overall its a good short term location.

GREAT FRIENDLY AND CARING STAFF. WONDERFUL AND VARIED DISHES. AC AND INTERNET WORKED WELL. HOT AND COLD WATER WITH NO INTERUPTION. SHUTTLE WAS ALWAYS ON SCHEDULE. ROOMS WERE CLEAN. I WILL BE BACK AGAIN.

spent a week at the rex resort. not very busy so we upgraded to a beach room. room was about 40 feet from the water. resort is older and can use some updating but the resort is very clean and the grounds are amazing. staff was great. take a tour of the island it is very lush. would go back.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Beautiful and surreal.

Loved the resort. It was a beautiful setting, quiet and gorgeous beach. Sandy beach and clear turquoise waters. No lineups anywhere and amazing service. Food was very good and a la carte restaurant was above average. We fell in love with beautiful island of Grenada.

Sandals Grenada: Couldn't have been more perfect.

This hotel was incredible, from start to finish! The food was delicious, the views were calming, the beach was quiet, the staff and servers were outrageously kind and genuine, the rooms were cleaned constantly, and the weather was the perfect, dry heat we all hope for! My husband and I had the most incredible honeymoon at Sandals Grenada, and are so thankful to have visited this location to celebrate such a special time in our lives.

Our beachfront room was the closest I have been to a beach yet! As Trip Advisor has mentioned, the hotel is dated, but our room was clean and everything was functioning. The food was very good. I enjoyed fresh fish everyday with a different rice, and island veggies. The staff were very pleasant and attentive to our needs. The beach was awesome! The hotel could use some sprucing up here and there. Like the light bulbs need replacing that have burnt out. The lawn needs watering. The floors in the hallways need cleaning. The staff is professional, helpful and friendly. It is a quiet and low keyed resort. Great place to relax and unwind.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: As expected

We think this resort is over all 3.5 stars. But clean and easy going. Best for older crowd say over 45 years old. Mostly the previous reviews are correct. The employees are not pushy and do not care if you tip or not. Service is the same. If you talk to them they respond very pleasantly. If you don't talk you will get "good morning only" or "hello". The food choices limited but very good. We never went hungry.

Slightly dated, but very clean. Very friendly people of Grenada. Best beach I have ever been to. Very quiet. Food was good, but more selections / choices would have been nice. Overall an 8 out of 10. Grenada is a wonderful island to visit.

The Rex Grenadian is lovely property, very quiet and well maintained. Rooms are a bit tired but always clean, food is very simple but tasty. No animation team, but will be good for relaxing peaceful stay.
