Allegro Cozumel: One of the best resorts we have ever been to!!!

Almost pristine grounds, so well manicured and clean! Rooms just enough space, very clean, exceptional beds! Food was so diverse, copious, and some of the best selections! No problem wanting to come back again!

Allegro Cozumel: Great stay

Went to the Allegro Cozumel with a group of 16 people. We all had a great stay. Food was good, loved the specialty restaurants. Staff were friendly and always helpful. The rooms are dated but comfortable. Beds were perfect. The beach was wonderful.

Allegro Cozumel: great resort

Hotel is awesome. Beautiful grounds, pools and beach outstanding, excellent food, great staff, lovely accommodations. Got premium room. Access to Santa Rosa Bar fabulous. Excellent service all around. 4th visit to Allegro Cozumel. Never disappoints

Occidental Cozumel: Pictures can be deceiving!

We vacationed here as a party of 6 end of April 2023. This hotel is located and surrounded by serene, stunning gardens and forests. Ground keepers do amazing work here. Food in buffet is for the most part well done but at times hard to figure out if it's a theme or not. our group of 6 ate at 3 a la carte. Italian, Seafood, and Mexican. We thoroughly enjoyed all three but requested to re visit the Mexican as it was the best in ambiance, great staff and great food. ( Thanks goes out to Danny and t [... read more]eam.). All a la carte venues were beautifully decorated. House wines are Spanish and are fairly good. Housekeeping was outstanding both in rooms and public areas. Biggest downside is the beach or lack thereof. Most was washed away during last few Hurricanes. So seating can be crowded at times. Pools are nice but as we are beach people we found ocean to be murky and continually stirred up by the multitude of boats speeding to pick up divers at the pro dive shop adjacent to the hotel. Perfect local for vacationing divers. Other that this issue at the beach this hotel checks almost all boxes. We made best of it and had a great stay here, this our 2nd time.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Excellent Resort!

We both enjoyed our stay very much! The rooms, public areas were spotless. The staff were amazing, friendly and attentive. A few wore masks and there were sanitizing machines scattered throughout the property. Food in the restaurants were nicely served and tasty. The buffet breakfasts were awesome, dinners were adequate but became a bit boring by week’s end. A few more loungers could be used as some guests were without. Afternoon snacks were excellent! We’d definitely return again!

Allegro Cozumel: Great holiday

Overall this hotel checked all the boxes , very clean , super friendly staff and beautiful grounds . Food is limited in selection but what they do have all tasted great . Smaller resort , easy to navigate . Rooms are on the small side so if sharing with more than 1 might not be good room selection for you .

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Incredible

My wife and I had amazing trip, thanx to Nicole Kirk and Trip Central. Not sure where to start. The room, weather, workers, beach and food were incredible. Rooms were clean and always stocked, if not, I asked and they delivered. The food at all the restaurants was excellent, and so was the room service, very little waiting. The workers were always busy and friendly. The beach and snorkeling were awesome. Water was a bit cloudy a couple of days, so I couldn't really snorkel, but swam on those da [... read more]ys. Spent many hours snorkeling on clear days, a bit rocky to get in, so I just kinda swam in. Tons of fish around the "Shark" to feed. Saw, a small sting ray, star fish, puffer fish and a Moray Eel, which lunged at me. Went on Zeus Snorkeling, highly recommended. Spent a lot of time in water exploring the reefs and observing huge sting rays, at the end of the excursion. Minor complaint's, noise from other rooms, slippery area around pool. I believe the noise issue is being addressed, by replacing all the doors. Those minor issue did not dissuade us at all, giving it a Five Star Rating. Special shout out to Angel at the Beach Bar and Susan, the Hostess. Also like to thank Francisco, who lives nearby who helped "guide" my wife and I, we hope to return soon, to Cozumel.

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Second time at dreams Cozumel this year

We returned to Dreams in April after a great experience in January. The resort setting is excellent and the architecture and finishes are first class by Mexican standards. Food selection and quality both excellent especially in Olio and Annato. Service much improved form January in all venues. We plan to return to Dreams Cozumel 2 or 3 times in fall/winter 2023/2024.

The Westin Cozumel: Beautiful resort

Great hotel with amazing snorkeling! Nice and close to the airport so you aren’t spending a lot of time travelling. Close to town, about a 5km walk, or a short bike ride. Don’t expect a great beach, Cozumel is not a beach island, it is a snorkeling and diving spot. Very safe to go into town and walk around. Rent A Bike Cozumel is a great business to rent bikes from if you want to cycle. Again very safe for that as well! Adult pool on the top floor is great!

Allegro Cozumel: Nice resort

Hotel was very nice, good for families, great water park for kids. Pretty and clean hotel. Hammocks were very nice option. Rooms very very nice. Good size beach. Ok a la cartes. Food like most places was ok not great. Only bad was the water was terrible smelling.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Amazing Trip!!!

My husband and I went to the Secrets Aura in Cozumel in March 2023 and had an absolutely amazing time! The hotel was clean and well taken care of. Our room was wonderful, clean and comfortable. Our bar fridge was stocked on demand which was a great bonus! The food was wonderful and offered something for everyone. The staff were some of the nicest people I have ever met!!! Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Amazing staff. Nice resort.

The hotel was small, with only 1 pool and 2 restaurants. It is sandwiched between 2 other newer 'sister' resorts that we could not use. The rooms were small, beds were comfy. The staff were outstanding and made this resort what it was. We enjoyed our stay. Food was mostly good, as were the drinks, coffee and ice cream.

Occidental Cozumel: Worst hotel ever

Should be shut down had no water guests were extremely sick Staff was rude and not helpful we left after one night and booked with another hotel. At our own cost it is very dated and we had to get water from the pool to flush the toilet

Occidental Cozumel: SICKNESS AND MISERY FOR ALL

I will not spend a moment on the quality of food or service and go right to the illness that spread through the entire resort. Hardly anybody was spared the misery of violent vomiting and diarrhea almost from day 1. The first day the AC did not work. When it was finally fixed it only went to 25 degrees Celsius and rattled. The room was damp and smelled like mold all the time. The next day the vomiting started for everybody in our group. We spent 36 hours straight in bed trying to beat th [... read more]is illness. After 36 hours we left our room but the diarrhea kicked in. I could not find anybody at the resort that wasn’t either currently sick or had just started feeling better. Almost EVERYBODY at the resort got sick. We lived on toast and bananas for 4 days. Nobody wears gloves to handle food but they do wear hairnets. Pretty sure nobody gets sick for a week or two when they find a hair in their food. Very poor hygiene and food safety standards. During the height of the sickness the WATER TO THE ENTIRE RESORT WAS TURNED OFF!!! We were told that it was for maintenance and it would be back on in 20 or 30 minutes. It was off for over 24 hours! We could not flush the toilets. This included the public washrooms. Its bad enough to be sick, now imagine not flushing the toilets OR washing your hands. Dozens of people including myself filled trash cans with pool water to flush toilets all night. Contestants on Survivor had more sanitary living conditions than we did. In the morning there was an angry mob yelling at the assistant manager. The manager was never to be seen. People talked about "Walter" but nobody saw the man. He hid like a coward while his staff got yelled at. Shame on you Walter! The assistant manager told everybody that if we didn't like it at the Occidental we could pack our bags and leave. He said "nobody in making you stay". There are dozens of reviews just like mine on several sites describing the same situation. The management responded to those reviews by saying that this time of year there is "a little gastroenteritis on the island". These guys lie so often it has become effortless. Some of the reps that sold excursions told us this happens all the time and Occidental covers it up so nobody knows. This place needs to stop making excuses, shut down for a few weeks and find the root cause of this illness. As of this evening my wife feels better but my symptoms persist. I have lost 11 pounds since the trip began. I went to the doctor today and he sent my samples away to determine if I got a virus, bacteria, or a parasite. Perhaps a combination of all three. We will know in about 3 days.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Not happy

I am writing this on behalf of my parents. They have been to El Cozumeleno at least 3 to 4 times pre Covid. This year they travelled there for two weeks and returned on March 14th. The experience was horrible. They didn’t like the food as it was the exact same thing every single day to the point where they couldn’t eat anything without feeling nauseous or upset stomach. With regards to Covid, well my parents are in their mid eighties, they both came home testing positive for Covid! Need I say more! Much to their surprise, when they arrived at the hotel, they were charged $182.00 USD and had to pay immediately. This was supposed to be an all inclusive trip. Other hotels there didn’t charge a dime extra. When I reached out to trip central regarding this charge, apparently the very fine print was at the bottom of the hotel voucher. They received this voucher after paying for the trip and no one made mention to this. I booked this for them online but we had spoken to trip central reps over the phone several times and no mention of this was made.The air Canada rouge flight was a terrible experience as the washroom sinks were plugged up with tape and they only had small packets of hand wipes. The bathrooms were filthy. As far as service goes, they weren’t even offered as much as a cookie on flight. Sad to say that this trip cost them almost double than usual but unfortunately it was the worst experience ever! As I mentioned, they are on old age pension and saved in hopes to have a good vacation, but it was the worst. They would appreciate some form of compensation at least the tax that they had to pay at the hotel!!! All of the people checking in at the hotel were very very shocked to have to pay this tax.

Occidental Cozumel: Truly awful

When I say everyone was ill, I am not exaggerating. It was clear when we arrived something was going on and sure enough 2 days later we were all sick with fever, vomiting, diarrhea. People throwing up in the bushes, sheets with vomit on them. The poor staff was doing what they could to help while management repeated nothing was happening. The grounds are lovely, rooms spacious and Norovirus or who knows what abound

Occidental Cozumel: Sick and Sicker

Breakfast was ok, lunches were hit and miss, and dinners were terrible. Food was tainted and both my wife and I were I’ll and required medical attention which we paid for. Many fellow travellers were ill as well as staff. Definite problems with poor food handling and preparation. Pool area crowded We started with a cancelled Westjet flight and had to book and pay for our own. More to come on our travel problems by way of a separate email.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Great location but terrible food and service

The location was perfect with a nice beach and unbeatable snorkelling right out front of the resort. The buffet on the other hand is hands down the worst we had ever seen and we have been to over 10 resorts. 0 vegan options aside from the vegetables and rice which sometimes had old gross cheese in it. The service was also very slow and would take 30-60 minutes easily to get your food if you ordered a la carte. We would consider going back should they improve the food slightly and get more friendly serving staff because everything aside from that was very enjoyable. The bar closes at 11 for those of you who like to drink. COVID restrictions are non existent aside from the workers all wearing masks. The room we stayed in was very large and had a beautiful view of the ocean but we had bed bugs and cockroaches and I left the retreat with massive clusters of bed bug bites, but I suppose that may be common among many resorts. Overall, the resort is in a secluded and beautiful area with an incredible view of the ocean and has incredible snorkelling right out front of the resort, so we would go back for those reasons but the food, service and room issues with bugs were the major down side of our trip.

Occidental Cozumel: Great resort

This is a beautiful resort with very well kept grounds.The workers were constantly manicurist the tropical gardens. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only downside is it is a long walk to the beach and the beach is quite eroded so not much space for beach chairs and shaded areas.

Allegro Cozumel: What a great family trip!

First of all, Cozumel is such a beautiful island. The weather was fantastic and the atmosphere is so subdued. The hotel Allegro is not a large resort Which was great fir us with kids and an elder. Food was very good. The beach was beautiful. But there were weedy areas. Service was great! Overall I would recommend this resort for a nice family get away!
