Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Amazing resort.

Everything was perfect. Nice, clean room with jacuzzi, amazing view, good food, drinks, fast check in and check out, friendly staff... We really enjoyed our trip. We would like to go back in the future!

Holiday Inn Ixtapa: Excellent vacation

My partner and I went from Dec 13 to Dec 20, 2018. The hotel was very clean, our maid was awesome. She didn’t speak English but she always made sure she figured out what we needed anyway and always left cute towel creatures on the bed. The entertainment guys at the pool were so fun. Victor and Carlos were always chatting with us and trying to get people involved and up and moving. The food was good and and pretty good variety. Lots of Mexican food, very little western cuisine. We did not know  [... read more]that Mexican children were already out of school so the resort was quite busy. Even tho it was very busy there were always enough chairs at the pool and the beach. All in all, I would give this place a 4 out of 5 and I have stayed at almost every resort on Ixtapa beach.

Fontan Ixtapa: It was a good week!

The Fontan Ixtapa is an older hotel, very well maintained both inside and out. The staff were all excellent and very accommodating. Got quite a surprise my first morning when the pool music started at 7 a.m., and that happens every day. No sleeping in on vacation. Unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired, except for the one night in the separate restaurant, and that meal was excellent. I would not do a two week stay..

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Disappointed

The hotel is very beautiful, but not very relaxing. It's a family resort now... not a place a Canadian couple who doesn't want kids running around at 10pm at the Sports Bar all "sugared up" from the boxes of cereal they take from the buffet. What it amounted to was parents not keeping their children under control. This was extremely disappointing as the resort has many beautiful areas. And will someone tell me how a kid can stay in the water and not go to the bathroom.... simply answer!!! Lastly in the Sports Bar they had the TV's... now the staff was friendly enough and found CBC so we could watch the hockey playoffs..... only problem was in the same sitting area to watch the game is 4.... count them 4 "fooze-ball" games. the noise and shouting from the locals was bad enough on 1 game but 4.... couldn't enjoy the evening. This hotel has no place for a quite drink and an area to play games in the evening. Too bad nice area.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Another great vacation in Ixtapa

This was my second time staying at the Sunscape Dorado Pacifico. The food is great, drinks are amazing, staff are helpful/friendly and the place is clean and presentable. The beach at the resort is fantastic and I enjoy the shows they put on for entertainment. My only complaint would be add more seats to the swim up and outdoor bars.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Fantastic Vacation!!

Amazing hotel and staff. Huge rooms, clean and comfy. Great food..wish there were a few more options but honestly wasnt a huge deal. A la carte dining was fantastic! Private beach area and great pools. Will definitely return.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Second time still a charm !

This was our second time at this resort . And no disappointments at all . Staff bend backwards to make your stay a happy one . Serving staff exceptional, maid service was good and always had a clean room and Fridge re stocked daily . Food was great . Could change up the menu a bit in the other restaurants like Blue water etc but still awesome . Over all a relaxing enjoyable vacation and yes I would go Back a third time .

Park Royal Ixtapa: Loved it

The hotel is small but offers great ammenities. There are two buffet restaurants and one a la carte. The food is similar to any other resort- ask for bacon during breakfast. The ocean is unsafe for swimming; however, beautiful swimming spots near by. The swim up pool bar and staff are amazing. The rooms are decent, make sure to get an ocean view room. Loved our stay and will be back

Hotel Irma Zihuatanejo: lovely hotel

Rooms were good. Food was OK. Overall hotel was everything as advertised. Consideration should be given to providing a coffee maker and an ice cooler in rooms These were the only complaints we heard from other guests.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Fun family vacation with small kids

Thursday we returned from a week stay at Azul Ixtapa. This was our second trip which now included two children under 4. The king room with a balcony on the 14th floor was excellent and close to all the action. Everything is exceptionally clean including all the washrooms on the grounds. The pools are fun, there was always a place to sit and enjoy the activities. All of the restaurants were delicious and clean. Make sure to say hi to Miguel at Costa Azul a la carte, he is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet as well as Rudy at the open air buffet or Yolanda and Angela at Colores. The staff are so accommodating and will go above and beyond to ensure you have all you need.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: not what we expected

being a 5 star resort i was disappointed , overall the rooms were great and view was fantastic, best ocean view we have ever had. However the jets on the tub not working as well as the hot water in the sink, when reported nothing done. Food in buffet was terrible worst i have ever had, however in the restaurants excellent. No entertainment to be seen - lobey bar is combined with their sports bar and filled with kids every night. Beach was tiny and full of rocks. Azul Ixtapa Resort: Great resort, fun time

Thanks to Sunwing for the Wednesday night dinner party. Staff are all very nice and friendly, most speak english, rooms, grounds always kept spotless. Food was good, wide selection Pools are nice and big, beach has perfect sand, not a stone on it, ocean waves are small, lots of activities to take part in. We would go back again for two weeks

Tesoro Ixtapa: Not a 3.5 star resort

First the staff was great, friendly and accommodating. The rooms were ok.. The food was boring, no specials each night. Same every day. The A La Carte was Italian -Mon. Weds. Fri. \Mexican the other days and could not get their days straight, frustrating. If you went to a la carte at 5 pm and wasn't full they still wouldn't let you in that night. the Infinity pool they didn't have working half the time. The night entertainment at resort was very low grade.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Great resort for the price

Lots to do for the kids. Beds and pillows are incredibly hard and they need to vary their buffet offerings ! Pineapple,watermelon,cantaloupe and papaya every single day ! The resort is very strangely laid out and we wondered why we had a fridge in our room when they never stock it. However the pool was clean and for the most part all the employees nice (although struggled greatly with English). We felt safe and well cared for. The air conditioning struggled quite a bit but they were definately quiet ! Water on the beach very Murky but no need for water shoes. The weather was great every single day and your kids will be well entertained as there were so many little things to do

Hotel Emporio Ixtapa: Great place!

A very nice resort on the smaller side, but that's what we were looking for. A large selection of food betweeen the buffet and the other restaurants. Excellent location right across from the bars, restaurants, shops and market.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Average Resort

I found the rooms amazing. Exactly what the brochure describes, all ocean view spectacular. The food on the other hand I found the same every meal. Only 3 a la cartes with 1 being Mexican. They did have a osyter bar but it was off site and you had to make reservations for all meals offered. (breakfast,lunch or dinner). It stated in the brochure it was 18plus but there were childern allowed. The did have an adult only pool. You had to walk on the boardwalk to get to the beach, the beach in o [... read more]ur area of resort was very rocky. Or you could walk across the street to the other public beach. Entertainment for evening shows weren’t up to par to what i have seen in other resorts. The staff though was very friendly and accommodating.

Club Med Ixtapa: great family resort

The resort was great for our large group of families - small enough that we could always find each other but spacious enough to have time to ourselves. There were large connecting family rooms, very good food at the buffet restaurant and a beautiful sandy beach with no rocks or weeds. The grounds were clean and the staff were gracious. Loved the sports programs including trapeze, archery, soccer, beach volleyball, bacci and basketball - the kids used these facilities daily. The only criticis [... read more]m I would give: We would have liked to have a balcony (not aware that this was not the case until arrival) and the rooms are dated. Otherwise great family holiday and perfect weather in March.

Holiday Inn Ixtapa: Amazing resort

This was a great place. The beds were comfortable, resort was nice and clean. The beach was clean and beautiful. The staff were great, and the area felt very safe. I wish there was Guacamole there, but other than that, it was really good. Also, the bar doesn't open unitl 11, should be 10 am.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Great Resort

The Sunscape Dorado Pacifico all inclusive resort is one I would recommend to anyone visiting the Ixtapa Zihuatanejo area. The staff in all areas are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel welcome and safe. All areas of the resort are very clean. The resort is compact but not cramped. You can get anywhere without walking very far. The main pool is a good size so it's never crowded. It's also great that flotation devices are permitted to make the pool experience an even more enjoyable one. [... read more] The staff even blow them up for you which is an added bonus. The meals in all the restaurants are average and lacking in variety from day to day. The spa is very clean but pricey. Check in and check out is exceptionally friendly and quick. The staff at the reception desk are extremely helpful with any question you may have or any service you may need including ordering a taxi or making a reservation. All in all I'm very happy with the experience and would definitely return to this resort.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Very Good Vacation Spot

The hotel is very nice , modern amenities, very friendly staff, very good restaurants. The Lobby bar was trying to be too many things to everyone a sports bar , pool/ ping pong games room & live entertainment, could use a separate lounge area for the live entertainment. The buffet felt a little like a cafeteria but the food was always good. The pools are nice - love the infinity pool.
