Had an amazing time! Good for family with kids!

My Husband and I had a great vacation. Would highly recommend anyone with children to go to this resort. Friendly people, food was excellent. Loved the pool and beach. Shuttle service was fast! Bakery was great asset.

The airport in Punta Cana is a gong show. Long, never ending lines that are confusing and miss managed. We waited 4 hours between landing and arriving at our resort, despite being the first dropped off the shuttle bus. Next we experienced the check in, once again long lines, but this part was dog eat dog. If you can speak Spanish and you don't mind dirty looks from others you can cut the line and yell for service and get your room before others. Good, but could be even better

My family and I recently returned from a fun vacation at Memories Splash in Punta Cana. The grounds and pools were very nice. The water in the pool was always nicely heated by the warm sun... be sure to wear sun screen though :). The beach was super easily accessible (about a 3 minute ride) by frequently available shuttles. Great food options at all restaurants... but beware of Montezuma's revenge upon your return. There were 2 significant areas in need of improvement before my family and I return to Punta Cana and Memories Splash. One, the Punta Cana airport is a complete and utter Gong Show... it took us about 3 hours to get though the airport when we arrived in Punta Cana... picture being shuffled through like in a slaughter house... hot, depressing, frustrating... you name it, we experienced it. Leaving Punta Cana wasn't much easier... line after line after line... Second, the majority of the staff at Memories are not very welcoming at all... some seemed down right disinterested in interacting with us and some were simply down right rude and dismissive. However, there was one particular gentleman who worked at "Selections" who was very very nice and often went out of his way to come say hi to us and chat for a few minutes... we always left him a generous tip. So, in a nutshell, the resort and beach are beautiful and well maintained and the water park and pools lots of fun, but we will not be returning because of the airport and the staff... and probably because of the Montezuma's revenge (but I'm sure the revenge only has it out for some people)

First time and I would recommend!

I really liked the resort! It was quite large, food was yummy. The rooms were really nice, we had an issue with our room in the beginning due to a leak but it was taken care of right away. I found the pools and grounds were very well taken care of and there was a lot of nightly entertainment. I loved that we were able to go to the Royalton and enjoy their facilities as well :)

Amazing time!

First, the food and drinks were amazing. Sooooo much variety and there was always something new to try. The staff were friendly and the grounds were very well maintained. The shows at night were great too. We had the most basic room and it was clean - we didn't have any problems with anything!

Great times at Memories Splash

This resort all around was a great family vacation.So many activities for the kids the waterpark was enjoyed by all of us slides for every age.The food was fabolous I have picky eaters and they stuffed themselves all week lots of selection.Resort was very clean staff very friendly and great lawn maintenence. I WOULD SUGGEST THIS TO ANY FAMILY.

Best Resort Ever!!

This was my 8th holiday to D.R.and the best!!! All round best resort,very smooth check in.Only 2 small issues,which really didn`t effect my husband and I too much. 1 -You are not directly on the beach,but not very far away!! 2 -There seems to be a long wait at the bars,especially in the evening while waiting for a restaurant,the bar set up is pretty disorganized!!The good points far outway these 2 small issues. 1-The whole resort is staffed with very friendly people,the nicest in the D.R.so far. [... read more] 2 -Everything is spotless,rooms,grounds,pools,restaurants. 3 -Food was awesome,anything you wanted,plenty of it. 4 -Definitly will return to Memories Splash!!! Decent Resort

Memories Splash is a decent resort but I did have a feeling that it puts on more of an aura of luxury resort than it really is. It does have nice and above average standard amenities and services but it does not always deliver. Example, you have your own fridge in the room to be stocked with new beverages daily, but it is not consistently stocked. There is a free room service but the service may not be delivered without following up. Memories does feel like a poor cousin of Royalton, a resort it is attached to and Memories guests are able to use some of the Royalton`s amenities , which really makes the difference. Both resorts are owned by the same management but it is obvious Royalton is a standard above Memories although both resorts have 4 plus rating. To sum up I enjoyed my stay at Memories as I did get a very competitive deal for my one week stay. I would definitively not pay top dollar to stay at Memories which you certainly can if you book at a peak time.

Beautiful resort with friendly staff!

The hotel is beautifully laid out and workers are constantly cleaning or pruning. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The beach area is breath taking.. We did not enjoy the food in the specialty restaurants although the buffet was excellent with lots of variety, great food and excellent service. The safe in our room rarely opened with our password code so we had to cal the front office to get someone up most days. We did have fun and enjoyed the hotel and staff. Great Family Resort

Beautiful family resort with lots to do. The grounds were well maintained, rooms clean, many pools to enjoy, but our family loved the activity pools where there was always entertainment going on. The water park was fun for the entire family. The Selections Buffet had a wide variety of foods for all to enjoy. I was disappointed with the long wait at the A la Carte Restaurant(Mexican, Italian & Seafood). The Zen Restaurant was good, but had to pay extra for access. The beach was clean and beautifu [... read more]l, but for the Memories guest they could have more chairs and make it more appealing/nice area to spend time at. Photographers on sight were professional and good if you chose to do family pics. We especially liked the Michael Jackson Show and the Circus Show. Overall there was plenty to do for the family and we never got bored.

It was ok

I was very disappointed upon arrival to find out that the 2 rooms we booked (1 for my husband and 1 and the other for my 3 daughters) we separated and not connecting like we had requested. We left memories and ended our vacation at the Royalton which was incredible!! The rooms were elegant, the service was impeccable, the food was amazing and the pools/beach was everything we imagined. Picture perfect. Will definitely be returning to the Royalton Resort & Casino in the future.

Perfect Family Vacation!

Food was great, entertainment was good. Kids loved the Kids Club. The beach looked beautiful but couldn't swim with the little ones as the waves were too big. The pools were nice enough that we didn't even miss not swimming in the ocean. The waterpark was super fun and we loved the little lagoon there with ducks, geese and peacocks hanging out. Our only complaint - and it's a major concern - is the slippery tiles throughout the resort. This place is not for the elderly or people who are not sure [... read more] footed. Make sure the kids don't run! We saw 2 people break bones when they fell and another ended up going to hospital with a head injury after he slipped coming out of the pool.

As expected

Overall, everything was great: water park, the beach, pools, food-buffet, a la carte. The room was a bit outdated and not enough towels. I like the Royalton area and the fact that it was a cozzy small resort. There were always chairs on the beach.

All around more than you can imagine!

Hotel- I dont even remember what star it was but it was like a 5. From amazing room service- hate to say it but very picky- everything was cleaned prompt and everything new was provided daily. Staff- Everyone was so attentive and polite, guests and staff included. answered all questions and will personally introduce and tell you whats going on around the hotel and how the things are that youve tried Restaurants- Mexican, Italian, Bellini Bar and Seafood 2 minutes outside of our room! Pool- Morning, Afternoon, and Evening- right outside our room so it was too easy to take a quick dip and change your towel asap for a dry one- and they didnt mind! Beach- Hardlyyyy seaweed at all if any where we swam. Amazing waters and not crowded Things to do- excursions- Bavar Splash- 99 Each bought on the airplane.. Snorkeling, Speed boating( you drive your own too- unreal!) and Ocean Dive (also just so worth it) Also the Royalton hotel was a 5 minute walk and we were able to drink and enjoy their entertainment as well! They had more lively night entertainment- on resort was more music and good to enjoy Waterpark- Yes this deserves its own category. Good family resort

clean rooms, friendly staff, not enough restaurant choices, and not enough chairs around the pool when the resort got busy towards the end of the week, lots to do for the kids, would not recommend for a couple without kids. beach was beautiful but way too crowded

Exceeded my expectations, great family vacation.

Our room was very clean & modern, kept fully stocked by housekeeping. We had somebody follow up with us the same day we arrived to make sure our room was OK and showed us how to use the TV properly. The grounds were well manicured and maintained. Restaurants had great variety which was great for my two picky eaters.

Amazing resort

Exceptional hotel. Food was great, the rooms were clean, there was lots of activities for kids and adult. My kids really enjoyed the teen club. The staff are reliable, friendly, always available, etc.

Family resort

It"s a very large resort shared with Royalton so lots to do and see. They offer a train every 5 minutes which is very helpful. Staff is very friendly and hard working. It is clean and many pools and water-park very safe. Myself and daughter did get ill and had a few problems with proper care. There were other traveller's sick as well and if I would of taken antibiotics with us on trip, would have not lost 2 days . Plus had trouble paying for hospital visit,taxi,medical and medication so i was de [... read more]finitely not prepared . Beach was very wavy and no shells so could not do any snorkeling. But booked a all day trip with joesph from nexus water sports hut on beach to isle catalina and that made up for everything. If you visit Punta Cana gotta visit catilna island.

Very nice and fun with the water park

The hotel is nice but cleanliness and quality varies greatly between buildings. We purchased our trip 4 1/2 months prior to our trip and requested second floor, adjoining rooms as my husband and I are disabled. We were a group o 6. When we arrived we got 1st floors in building 3 & 9. They apparently could not move us even though my daughter had booked a wedding ceremony, we spent approx $10,000 together. My daughters room was, as I said, on the first floor right by an open area and they were pla [... read more]gued with lizards and little worms in their room. This after they alone paid $4,400 plus approx $3,500 for the for the weddingAnd expenses. We ended up being moved the next day to the same building but not adjoining rooms and on the first floor. That is when we realized the difference in quality in buildings. From observation I got the impression that if u paid to be in the diamond club, $35 per person per night, u got into a certain building. We could have paid less for our trip if we waited but decided, upon advise, to book early to get what we wanted, not worth it, u go where they put u and tell u they can't switch u. We would probably go there again because of the water park but wait to book for a more reasonable rate.
