Now Garden Punta Cana: Some good some not so good...

Tripcentral issues: A. Shaukath screwed up our honorifics twice and we had to go to a supervisor to eventually get it resolved. B. Shaukath screwed up the bedding arrangements royally. I specified two double/queen beds. EMPHASIZED it several times as I was travelling with my adult daughter. Upon our arrival we had been given one king bed. Kudos to the onsite reception as this was resolved fairly quickly. BAD on Tripcentral! Hotel Bad N [... read more]ews: 1. Rooms were small and configured poorly, i.e., there was no separation from the bedroom and the bathroom.... like no doors to the bathroom area. 2. No chairs to sit on in the bedroom... room being too small for chairs. Two small chairs on the balcony....very uncomfortable... the type you pay $5 for at Walmart or Target. 3. Television was very small with no HD... not a huge problem, but one that should be remedied. 4. Food across the board very middle of the road.... think pastries from Walmart and buffets a notch or two below Golden Corral. Mexican was way beyond bad... horrific really. 5. One choice of red and one of white for the white... or pay wildly exorbitant inflated wine list .... truly a joke. 6. Beach was truly disgusting with huge amounts of seaweed and non-stop tractors and dump trucks making huge amounts of noise. 7. Coffee shop and everywhere else truly horrific..... and NO 10% cream 8. Pool tended to look dirty with what appeared to be black mould near the seating area at the bar. A few weird worms swimming in the pool every day. Good News: 1. Grounds/buildings looked fabulous and well maintained 2. A couple of good meals at the onsite Garden restaurant 3. Drinks with premium liquor readily available with mostly attentive bar tenders 4. Shuttle to Larimar was sufficient 5. Staff were middle of the road ... some good some not so much 6. Transfers from airport ok

Now Garden Punta Cana: Loved the resort

Very clean, and quiet, staff was great rooms were clean. Enjoyed my stay only thing that was not that great was the entertainment it was the some people every night and the shows that were posted on the boards would change to something else that is the only I did not like!

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Just a wonderful resort with the best staff and food!

Now Jade Riviera Cancun is one of my favourite all inclusive resort that we have ever stayed at. We had a little trouble booking in when we first got there, but ended well as they up graded us to a junior suite overlooking the ocean! The rooms are great and the variety of wonderful restaurants every night was such a treat. The staff were wonderful and so friendly.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Great trip to Puerto Vallarta

The Now Amber is a lovely resort, much smaller than what is in Riviera Maya though so if you like large sprawling resorts this is not for you. I would also say it is definitely not a 5 star but a solid 4. The best part of the resort are the employees they are all warm and welcoming, friendly and very accommodating wanting to ensure everyone enjoys their stay. The worst thing about this resort is the buffet,  [... read more]the selection is limited and very little change from one day to the next and the food was warm at best unless you had prepared eggs. The other negative is the special events take priority over the all inclusive guest. There was 2 weddings and a large convention that took over the lounge chair area right by the pool, eliminating a significant amount of seating in the middle of the afternoon for the duration of the day. The last negative comment pertains to the housekeeping of the room our mini bar was only restocked 2 times during the week, not a big problem because there is a full bar on the second floor. But the cleaning staff did not provide hand towels 3 times during the stay. I think these are little issues and would not prevent me from recommending though. Last but not least if you don’t like cigarette smoke don’t go here, smokers are so disrespectful of others enjoyment smoking in the pool is disgusting and ruins the enjoyment of those of us wanting to take in the fresh air and outdoors several guys were smoking big cigars which was difficult to escape the smoke and smell.

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Loved it!!!

The Now Jade was an amazing resort! The rooms were very large and clean. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a large variety of options at the buffet and restaurants to choose from. We came back a few pounds heavier from all the delicious meals! The beach was a bit rocky but there are areas that’s it not as bad and you can enter the ocean with no rocks. It was a great vacation and would recommend this resort!

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: A little disappointing but great staff!

Great service. Lovely weather and fine sand beach. Food is ok. Beach is packed. Shade is coveted. Comfortable chairs are reserved for the preferred club and “special members’ Rooms are comfortable. Bathrooms could be cleaner. Gardens are lovely. Entertainment is cute, with the occasional real talent. Lots of activities are available if you want them. The pool area is standard nice but open only from 8-6 so no early morning or evening swimming. Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Very nice hotel

Hotel was good nice and clean Food however was just okay. The portions that they gave us in restaurant and also Buffett were small. Cleaning the rooms was good however a few times the maid was late and had to call to get the room done Liked the coffee place and enjoyed have a late night cold or hot drink with dessert. After being on the resort for a few days they did not have ice cream for the rest of my stay. Overall had a nice time but again the food could have been better.

The place was beautiful clean well kept, people that worked there were very nice and helpful. The rooms and view were just so beautiful. The only thing I did not like was the food in the buffet area .

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Great Resort

Great resort with nice pools and lots of amenities. My only complaint was the beach. The beach was small with lots of seaweed. The pictures that the resort has posted on their website were misleading about the beach. The restaurants were good with lots of choices. Very good resort to take kids. The staff were excellent at the kid`s club.

Now Garden Punta Cana: Great resort

We had a great week at this resort. Room was comfortable and everything worked well and was kept clean. Service at the bars, restaurants and beach bar was very good. Loved not needing reservations for the restaurants. We didn’t mind the walk to the beach and enjoyed spending the late afternoon at the Garden swim up bar so close to our room. We did find the chairs at the beach were not very comfortable. Food and drinks were good.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort!

I thought the resort was beautiful and clean. Lots of different pools to chose from. Rooms were nice and big with comfortable beds. Great food with lots of restaurants. We also loved the fact that we could go to the Breathless resort at no extra cost. Overall great experience!

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Beautiful

Every thing was very nice but they need a full length mirror in the rooms it was hard getting ready for a wedding not knowing what you looked like.The grounds were very well keeped up. The beach was beautiful all but the seaweed but they were working very hard to keep it cleaned up you could walk for miles on it and we walked every day . I didn’t care for the people begging you to come to there shop to buy all the time.

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Great experience

Food was great, especially the buffet. While it was hard to get a lounge chair, the pools were large enough that there was lots of room. Kids enjoyed beach volleyball and sailing. Rooms were clean and spacious and the beds comfortable. Beach wasn’t great for swimming.

This resort was very clean and service was impeccable Beach was cleaned up from sea grass every morning Al a cart restaurants didn’t require reservations and was very fast service Suggest security to keep beach vendors from coming up to guests on beach and constantly harassing to buy product

Now Garden Punta Cana: A great place to relax.

The ground were well maintained, the rooms were clean, the dining was very good. The Lobby staff were excellent. Check in and check out was a breeze. The Lobby Bar and staff were the best. the pool was always clean, and a fun place to meet new people.

Now Garden Punta Cana: Nice Resort

The resort was clean and quiet so relaxing was easy. The Now Garden is a short trolley ride away from the Now Larimar which is the large resort and has all the activities for the complex. The Now Garden it self has a buffet breakfast ,no lunch or supper buffet unless you go to the Now Larimar .The snack bar by the pool was good but the same everyday. The lobby at the Now Garden is very small and also quiet. The rooms were a little dated and lacked storage space, but the swim out was great. Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Week at the Now Amber

Fabulous grounds, amazingly friendly staff, and an overall great time. The Now Amber worked very hard to ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. For example, my gluten free wife was given gluten free products for almost every meal by the head of the kitchen staff (bread, muffins, cookies, pasta, and even a pizza!). Our kids loved the kids club (ages 8 and 10) and went often. They also loved the kids pool and the main pool area to swim. Food was great at the a la cartes but not staffed as well as they could have been which left us waiting a couple of nights. We went to 3 nights of entertainment and enjoyed all 3 very much. Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Family Vacation 2018

My family of 4 stayed in a preferred unit with a Tropical view for a week. Unfortunately we had to call about problems with the suite 5 out of the 7 days. Problems with the bathroom glass door, lights not working, refrigerator not working. The room was not well lit. I think they must use 40-Watt bulbs. The maid service was irregular. She would arrive between 5-6 pm. Right when everyone was getting ready for dinner. Some nights we had turn down service, some nights not. Towels were scarce. On [... read more] a positive note, the room was nice and quiet. There was never any hallway or adjoining room noise. The balcony with plunge pool was great. It was relaxing. The food was disappointing. We are a vegetarian family and the options for us were minimal at the restaurants. Restaurants only offered 1 veg appetizer and 1 veg entree. For example, at the Mexican restaurant, we ordered the veggie fajitas. This consisted of grilled sliced carrots and zucchini with 2 small tortillas. Needless to say we were all still starving when we left. We ate most at the Carnival buffet as it had to the most vegetarian options, and thankfully they had different themes each night. The new Italian restaurant at Now Garden was also very good. Fruit and salad options were limited, and often flies were hanging around the salad bars. The concierge services were very nice. Miguel was fantastic. He took very good care of us all week. He frequently checked in with us while on the beach or at the pool. Helped us make reservations and accommodated a late checkout for us. The preferred benefits of the extra 2 pools, beach area and lounge were all quite nice. The beach at Now Larimar was very nice. The sand was great and you could walk as far as you like. Kayaking was enjoyed by the kids. It was too rough to snorkel. If you wanted a place on the beach you needed to get up early to reserve a spot. The excursion vendors and the shopping mall salesman could be a bit harassing. They visit you every 10 minutes, fortunately by the end of the week they stopped bothering us. There was not a lot of entertainment options for my 12 year old; but my 8 year old met some same age peers and enjoyed the kids club area a couple of times. Elise at the spa provided a fantastic massage. Highly recommend the massage!

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Beautiful Spot!

Just back from an amazing week! The service and drinks were incredible and you certainly can’t beat the weather! We highly recommend the Rythms of the Night excursion - delicious food and spectacular show! The food on the resort was just ok - we were expecting more variety at the buffet but we did enjoy the Asian restaurant. We were traveling with an 11 year old so we could not eat at the Italian restaurant and instead went to Dolce Vita in town on the boardwalk - service and food was excellen [... read more]te!! A couple of words of caution.... when the water is low in the pool, the edge of the pool on the ocean side becomes very sticky with some unknown varathane type substance. Do not sit on the wall with your feet in the pool. Whatever the substance is, it will stick to and ruin your bathing suit. One other caution, we purchased a bottle of Don Julio from the tequila cart - it is $20 US cheaper at the duty free at the airport. Lesson learned..lol.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Great resort!

Did not purchase Preferred Club so access to only one pool but it had great activities throughout the day given by an awesome entertainment team and even special shows in the afternoon such as a very entertaining and funny synchronized show. One buffet that was good with lots of variety and the five a la carte restaurants were very good. Japanese and French were our favourites. The nightly outside shows were the best we have seen in all the resorts we have made. Excellent dancing, fire show,  [... read more]magic show, acrobatic show etc. Our biggest complaint is how cold the air conditioning is at the buffet, in the lobby and in the Moments bar. So cold you don't want to stay in those areas. Very clean resort and rooms but mildew smell in room. Would need to install dehumidifier. Nonetheless, would return and recommend this resort.
