Breathless Riviera Cancun: Well laid-out resort

The hotel was very well laid out. We stayed at the exhale and the service was fantastic. The grounds were kept clean and tidy. The food was fantastic and the main buffet was exceptionally good. Housekeeping a mini bar staff kept everything up-to-date everyday. The rooms we're modern up-to-date and spacious. I'd highly recommend this resort. Gary

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort

Rooms and food was excellent! The pools were also wonderful but the beach had a lot of seaweed. The staff was very friendly and courteous. All of the restaurants had a good selection of food and the service was great. Highly recommend the Teppanyaki at the Silks restaurant.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Great Vacation Spot for all age groups!

The grounds were spectacular and well maintained Room serviced, at least three times a day. Greeted upon and given a drink and cold towel after warm bus ride. I was disappointed, in our room size. Bathtub were outside, with no privacy to enjoy it. Also had to leave our clothes in our suitcase as there were no dresser drawers to put your clothes in. We were provided with extra hangers. We were able to enjoy cuisines that I have never experienced before.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Awesome time

The grounds were well kept and beautiful with the glowing purple lights at home. The restaurants were all good. The Italian and French were my favourites. The ETeam staff were amazing. Always there to encourage you and approach you to participate or get up and dance. All staff were fabulous. Everyone was polite, respectful, and would go out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this resort. Always something going on for all ages. You can enjoy the party pool or the quiet pool. It’s the place to go for the holiday you want.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Breathless Punta Cana much better

I have travelled all over the carribean and have twice visited Breathless Punta Cana so I thought I would give the Cancun Riviera a try. I would not give it as glaring a review. The property has great staff and they work hard to make you feel welcome. That can not be said about the management who are rude and abrupt. I was charged for extra cleaning of my room because of a cut I had that stained sheets and a pillow. The Mexican and the Buffet were very bad. I am not a food complainer either. Bartenders were amazing and top shelf liquor was available. Property very nice. There are two accessible pools for those that don't stay at Xhale club. One pool was so high volume techno beat with same music everyday you got a headache. The other pool was very crowded with very drunk people. I am a guy who likes to have a good time and let loose but this place was almost like spring break. I really love the Mexican people and the workers at this resort. The management who are stubborn don't listen not so much!

The hotel, staff and service was exceptional. Very clean and friendly.....Food was fantastic and great entertainment for all......Loved it and would do it again anytime..... Highly recommended.......great resort for singles aged 25-70

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Great Resort

Most of the resort was excellent....there was a few things I didn't like. They did not have enough evening shows. Punta Cana Breathless had way more shows and entertainment compared to Cancun Breathless and the entertainers were more hands on with the guests. The fridge in the room was warm so nothing cold to drink which was not good we did ask them to fix the fridge but nothing was done. Breathless Cabo San Lucas: Breathless Cabo San Lucas - Great location, great view, average food

Breathless has a terrific location right on the marina with an amazing view of the boats and the ocean, it is also on a swimmable beach which was really good (many/most beaches are not swimmable in Cabo). There are 2 pools at Breathless both of which are very nice. One pool is more of a relaxation pool with a great view of the marina and no loud music playing. The other pool is a party pool with a really good DJ and a nice view of the ocean. The bar fridge contained sodas, water and Corona's. The view of the marina was also terrific from the balcony. The quality of the shampoo/body wash/conditioner etc was very good. The restaurants at Breathless were good but IMO are a step behind the other Secrets and Karisma chain resorts I have been to. If food is a top priority for you, I would choose Secrets Puerto Los Cabos over Breathless for this reason alone. Room service was really good and came delivered as ordered each time. The areas directly outside Breathless felt very safe and walkable any time during the day or evening. The nightly entertainment is top notch with plenty of skilled dancers, singers and entertainers. All in all Breathless is a very nice "party" resort with a great marina/beach view in a great location. I recommend it to those who like to enjoy drinks and sun by the pool all day in a good party atmosphere. For those who demand the best food and are looking for a "quieter" vacation, I would perhaps look at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos instead. TandD

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: All-around Excellent Resort

Resort was clean and public areas/gardens were well manicured. Rooms were clean and spacious. Food was excellent, although no reservation policy (except for Teppanyaki) lead to occasionally long waits for dinner at a la cartes. Beach was excellent and well-maintained; any seaweed (sargassum) that washed ashore was cleaned up by tractor. Hottubs were open 24 hours. Breathless Montego Bay: Breathless

The hotel: is more for the young at heart music is loud and not good. Food: is good in all restaurants a big variety. The World cafe is a great place for breakfast Buffett and lunch which is at secrets next door to breathless. Rooms: not the cleanest need improvement always had to ask for wash cloths etc. Employees: most were helpful and kind there were a few that had an attitude!!! Beach: is at Secrets gorgeous. If you are going to any excursions ask many questions most importantly are pictures permitted on all my excursions many areas were not permitted very discouraging. The bewitched tour skip!!! waste of money. Dolphin cove excellent. Tips: was on going everywhere you turned the bus driver the guide, employees at the excursion they all tell you would be nice to get a tip but if not it’s ok they make you feel bad!!!! The owner needs to speak to all the employees of breathless to make sure that all visitors are getting A#1 service it is a costly place I paid $6,500.00 for 10 nights. Would I go back no . Would check for more options.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Very good value for the price paid

We were very fortunate to get a pretty good price on this vacation as we booked it only 10 days before departure. The highs - the pools were great...clean, heated and lots of activity. Service was exceptional in all areas from bars, to restaurants, housekeeping, etc. Food was good, not excellent but we were certainly never hungry. Rooms were amazing - very clean, comfortable and incredible shower! Only 20 minute shuttle to airport and ground transportation was very well organized. The low [... read more]s - the beach was pristine and well maintained but you could not go in the Ocean due to the seaweed. Pools are on the beach so its not a big deal. Dinner in specialty restaurants (especially French) took inordinately long time. All in all, a great value for under $2k....but I dont think I would pay more than that.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: It all depends on where you've been and what you expect.

This was a tough review and I’m struggling with how to rate this resort (I really want to give it 4*, but it's not quite there). I admit, everything is so subjective, so I like to provide comparison context to establish “realistic expectations”, noting that 5* doesn’t always mean the Ritz or the 4 Seasons, so I am not measuring on this basis. Full disclosure: We pre-booked a Master Oceanfront Xhale room, and the resort was at 55-60% capacity. We not only knew, but liked and chose this [... read more] place because it was considered a ‘party’ atmosphere. The comparable resorts we’ve been to are Breathless Mexico, CHIC Punta Cana and Hard Rock Punta Cana. Here is how Breathless Punta Cana rates: The grounds: Immaculate, beautifully manicured/maintained. Layout seems a bit awkward and linear (if you are in the Xhale buildings don’t wear heels to dinner unless you take the trolley). The beachfront buildings are a good hike to the main lobby/atrium where you find most restaurants and entertainment. The beach: Nice, but definitely rocky in the water. Careful you don’t cut your feet..recommend swimming more toward the NOW resort beach. The rooms: Very clean, housekeeping was thorough and consistent every day. The master suite comes with a separate sitting room and 2 full bathrooms (which I LOVED). However, I understand when people say the rooms look ‘dated’. The resort is only 5 years old and yet the rooms look much older, because the décor is more tropical than modern. The rooms at Breathless Mexico, and CHIC are quite modern, so sadly Breathless Punta Cana is aging very quickly. Note: On the last day we found the source of a very loud and annoying decompressing sound (occurred every 15-20 minutes). We suffered with it for many days/nights, only to determine it was the scented mister above our bed. The service: Our butler/concierge Glinny was quite awesome. He seemed to find us wherever we were and was keen to help with whatever we needed (always with a huge smile). Most of the bars and restaurants had good service, but the attitudes were hit and miss. Some very friendly, attentive, others were quite short/curt. The entertainment: Admittedly, we didn’t participate in any of the activities or catch any of the shows, but it looked quite lively. The issue we had was the Freestyle pool DJ. Very inconsistent. 1 day great dance music, validated by large, very engaged crowd, other days the DJ should have a better read on the audience (small, non-engaged crowd = change the music). The food: Mmmm, ok so this is where Breathless Mexico and CHIC are WAY ahead. Did we have some good meals? Yes, the Italian and Mexican restaurants were quite good. We ate 2x at each. The French was inedible, awful. The strip soooo disappointing. Husband ordered a beautiful beef fillet, but strangely that they didn’t ask how he wanted it cooked. Before the waiter left he had to ask for ‘medium rare’…..BIG MISTAKE, and now understand why they don’t ask. Honestly, the ‘quality’ was similar to Canada, but it was delivered RAW (not even rare). We thought this might have been a mistake, sent it back, asked for medium rare again….only to get another raw steak. What a waste of 2 beautiful steaks. The afternoon barefoot grill was just ok. Husband really wanted chicken wings and there were none to speak of. Afternoon food choices at Breathless Mexico and CHIC again are much better. However, ALL the food at the Hard Rock is inedible (very disappointing), so Breathless Punta Cana was definitely better. The drinks: Were just ok. Given the size of the resort I understand why most of the main drinks are pre-frozen to ensure quicker service, but Breathless Mexico and CHIC always offer these freshly blended….makes a BIG difference. Note, I would never complain about a drink being too weak since this can be quickly fixed by asking for more booze. We did want to send a special shout out to Leo the Hookah guy. My husband visited him everyday, and he was always extremely friendly and was well versed on the set-up. Overall, the resort was nice, but we did struggle to connect like we have with others places. There were points when they went above and beyond, and others where they fell flat.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: A nice place if you like to party

The good: Modern hotel, nice rooms, many restaurants to choose from and the food is pretty good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bad: The beach is terrible. Nobody swims in the ocean at this resort. The water is filled with sea weeds and the water is an awful brown color. You can't stroll along the ocean front much beyond the hotel because the coastline is filled with rotting seaweed and rocks. The music played at this resort is very annoying after a while. It's a const [... read more]ant droning of drumbeat mixes with no vocals. It's everywhere you go, from the gym to the poolside. In the Xcelerate section of the hotel, the music is so loud that it's unpleasant to sit in the beach chairs alongside the pool. I was a DJ for many years and I can tell you that the volume level exceeded what would be normal in this situation. Your ears should not hurt after sitting by the pool for an hour. The disco bar is no different, the music is excessively loud (bring a DB meter and you'll see what I mean) but that's more to be expected than at the poolside. If you are the type that spends all day with a drink in your hand in the pool, you'll fit right in with this crowd. Lots of people having a good time, yelling and cheering in the fine dining restaurants, celebrating birthdays or pre-wedding parties. You are also pretty isolated at this hotel, other than one other hotel next door, there is nothing for many miles. You have to drive for 20 minutes before you encounter civilization.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Upbeat, Upscale and Fun

Both the staff and the facility are fantastic at Breathless Riviera Cancun. The resort is brand new and features all of the modern amenities that you can think of. We were also very pleased with the ambiance and the food at the restaurants. The only negative on our trip was the beach (rocky and lots of seaweed).

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Outstanding and refreshing

This resort was awesome. From the moment you walk in the modern and stylish resort the staff is quick, friendly and effective. The grounds are clean and beautiful, restaurants are amazing and the entertainment is on point. A definite revisit to breathless resort.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Exhausted

The scenery, service and look of the hotel was amazing, but the hotel acoustics were made for a concert environment in that if you need sleep you can only really do so between 4 a.m. - 9 a.m. when the music stops and everyone goes "home"..unless of course you can sleep while being out at a night club. When I got to my room after being awake and travelling for hours I was completely exhausted but couldn't nap due to the noise that came from all sides. Closing the curtains, covering my ears and putting a towel at the bottom of the door did nothing to drown out the noise. Having the entertainment everywhere is a poor design. I've never been to any hotel or resort where the entertainment wasn't contained or separate from the rooms. The joke is I chose an adult only hotel to avoid the noise of kids...walking down the beach past the other hotels that had kids seemed quieter. I waited some time to take this trip and could have gone anywhere so I was very excited when I arrived and saw the beauty of the place but that quickly turned to the biggest vacation disappointment I've ever had. I'd only recommend this hotel to someone who wants to be up all day and night partying. I have a very demanding profession and lots of personal responsibilities so in my getaways I need a balance and physical divisions between sleep and play so I highly doubt I'd ever return.

Breathless Montego Bay: Most horrible experience

I will never go back there worst experience ever, customer service was not pleasant, make calls so many times for my room to be clean. The room I book for was not aworded to me put in small mosquito room. I’m still in pain from all the mosquitoeb bit. The worst

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Great place to stay!

5 stars for sure. Grounds were beautiful, food was excellent, staff were amazing. The only bad thing was there was an adjoining room door and I could here the person snoring like a freight train. It was also disturbing when the drunk crowd got back to their rooms at 4am and slammed their room doors, at night it sounds like a bomb going off.

Breathless Cabo San Lucas: Amazing property!

Breathless is an Amazing property with fantastic service! Great location, fabulous food and spectacular service!! And the drinks are top notch! All rooms have a spectacular view of the marina. We will be back!

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Good resort if you like to party - not if you like relaxing and quiet

The rooms, grounds, food, beach and staff were amazing. We have no complaints. However, we were not prepared for the craziness of this resort. Thankfully we were able to find some quieter areas to enjoy. The party pool is insane, and the singles vibe was at times unbearable.
