Excellent trip

The resort is great overall. Excellent food, rooms are great, and the beach is amazing! The only negative comment I have is that there are people trying to get you to buy a membership to a vacation club who are quite pushy and rude. In spite of this I would still return to this hotel.

Lovely Family Friendly Resort

I was very happy with this resort as a great destination to take my grand children. We were with our 8 month old grandson. Our concerns about having a baby in the speciality restaurants and any common areas were that we may be out of place and disturb others. I can happily say that our boy was welcomed everywhere. There were so many children and this resort catered to them and their families perfectly. Every staff member made us feel welcome and this made our stay the best it could be. My  [... read more]only concern was the bar service. The bar staff seemed to ignore some customers and cater to others. Looked very much like tipping was the only way to get service. This did not happen in any restaurant. I watched the bar staff ignore a woman beside me for so long that she finally left without being served.

Nice resort

The hotel amenities were very good ...loved the lazy river.....the rooms were very nice.......the buffet was very lacking and the fact we had to wait to be seated was not good ....I didnt like the fact there was only one buffet for breakfast for such a large resort and I didn't like the fact the diamond club would be seated first and we had to wait. Loved the resort

Beautifully landscaped and very clean Loved the ala Carte restaurants only downfall is poor service especially at buffet restaurants. Could have more shopping available on resort Beach is pristine and gorgeous.lots of choices for every age

Good resort, not great

The hotel was nicely laid out, very clean and modern. The food was just ok, as were the drinks. The pools and beach were great, but the resort felt overcrowded at times. The sales people milling around the rooms and the resort were a bit annoying. The staff for the most part were nice, aside from a few. A very family oriented resort. Check in and check out were a little slow, just depends on when u arrive/ depart.

Spectacular resort

The moment we walked in we were in love it was absolutely stunning clean and such friendly staff. The food and unlimited booze you can't go wrong first time at an all inclusive will be for sure thinking about it again... Rooms were cleaned twice a day and room service was quick highly recommend Royalton barvao to anyone

Royalton Bavaro

It is quite a large and lovely resort with three different pools, easy access to the beach. The negatives would be the mini-bar was never refilled and the music at the bars at time was too loud.Sunny

Family friendly resort

Great hotel and amenities but didn’t realize how kid friendly this resort was. For couple without kids it was a bit much at times but beautiful resort and fairly large resort. We prefer more smaller ones

Awesome spot. Would return

We loved Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa for kids and adults alike. Many great food options and things to do all day long. The lazy river was our all time favourite for adults and kids. Drink service pool side was a little slow but we were too busy with kids to care.

Amazing Resort

Hotel was fantastique! We really enjoy the food and the staff at the bar in front of Grazie restaurant were amazing. Steak house was the best restaurant on the resort. My daughter enjoy the activities and love the surfing. Wave pool was her favorite activities. The show were OK. Beach party and tribute to Queen was by far the best. Thank you,

Wonderful experience

This was my first time at an all inclusive resort. Loved everything from the transport from airport to facilities to food and staff. The beach and weather speak for themselves - amazing. There was such a variety of things to do / experience. The Vibe team really engage you and ensure your experience is memorable- dance lessons, Spanish lessons, evening entertainment, post entertainment dancing. My room was beyond comfortable and clean. My butler was kind, intuitive and helpful. While I th [... read more]ought i was going to an adult only resort, I quickly realized it was a family resort but it was a great experience all the same. The families all seemed relaxed and thoroughly engaged with their children. I look forward to doing this again some day.

Great resort

This hotel was exactly what we expected after having read the reviews; the grounds were beautiful, rooms clean and bed comfortable, best beach in the area and food was simply great! Restaurants were great, but the Japanese zen reservation was un-necessary as this was our least favorite restaurant.

Nice resort, needs some improvement

Grounds were nicely kept, plenty of bars but not enough spaces in the buffet. Spent too much time in line waiting to get to food. Also would appreciate not being hounded for joining a time share or " getting your welcome gift" every time I entered or left my building. Cleanliness could be improved as well. Utensils and dishes were dirty.

All good except!

the hotel was as expected, clean rooms, good food, good bar service, nice beach, good room service, cold AC in room. room smelled must at first but got dehumidifier and it cleared it out. transport back to airport was problematic and chaos at punta cana airport was to much to bear. excellent vacation overshadowed by very poorly run airport check in. and because of that my party of five will not return to DR.

Pretty Good

Decent Resort with good activities for kids. Bring money for tips otherwise no one is going to pay attention to you. I was getting annoyed near the end having to repeatedly ask for simple things. Get ready for "Dominican time", it's a real thing! Rooms are all connecting and the locks on the doors between rooms are broken. So anyone can walk in from the connecting room at any time. Nice resort

Hotel and grounds were very nice, loved the lazy river. Pools are nice and warm with lots of loungers, also never a shortage of loungers at the beach where we spent most of the time. Restaurants are ok, hunters steak restaurant was very good, had a great ribeye done perfect, that was our favourite place to eat.

Great family resort

Love the fry truck and lazy river. Second time back this year. Third to this resort. Very family oriented. A la cartes are nice but buffet has an excellent selection. Even a small buffet table for kids. Rooms are large. Resort is very clean. Lots of activities to do. Staff ( wait staff, activities staff, bar tenders, housekeeping) all do a great job and deserve your tips! The shows each night are great. They used to do more kids shows before the adult ones began but didn't see this happen this  [... read more]trip. Easy check in and out.

Great Resort, but needs some

a few concerns: there was a major outbreak of Hand Foot and Mouth disease at the resort. No announcement was made, nor did we notice any additional care or cleaning to the pool and kid areas. As well, my luggage was not loaded onto the bus (even though it was tagged and sitting with the other passengers luggage). I then had to PAY to have my own luggage transported to the airport when it should have been loaded in the first place. No apology and no compensation. A little disappointing.

Excellent value

This was our first visit to the Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa, but it won't be our last. Rooms were appointed with sleek, modern furnishings. We splurged on a swim up room, and were not disappointed. Food was surprisingly tasty for the D.R. The 3 pools and lazy river were immaculately kept. The beach was well maintained throughout the day but the undertow was strong so be aware. Amazing resort

Great place to relax. I'm very satisfied with this resort. They affair exellent activities .I recommend it to everyone. I definitely want to go back there. Thank you Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa for everything
