Excellent resort

This is the first time I am in Cuba.Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort is an excellent place to stay. The hotel building is new, room is clean, and the beach is good for swimming. Especially the people who are working at the Small Club are helpful and friendly. The only problem is the poor Internet connection.

Beautiful resort

Gran Muthu Almirante is a beautiful resort with impeccable grounds, comfortable rooms and pristine beach. Above all, the staff is SUPER. Always willing to help: Guest Service staff housekeeping ( keeping everything so clean) and security staff. Many thanks to the waiters: Ariana, Ronaldo, Andre and all the others at the buffet or at the restaurants. Thanks to Ana the artist. She transforms fruits into beautiful flowers at the buffet. Amazing shows, especially top-rate Synchro. Karaoke man,  [... read more]with beautiful voice, thank you. Very good sanitary measures re COVID. Staff wearing masks even at the beach. I would certainly be happy to go back and would recommend this hotel to my friends. Now the weak points: - VERY SLOW check-in - access to WIFI, a real challenge, especially that you have to recharge after 2hours - no tea is available at the resort! (Will bring my own next time) - only RED WINE is served at the buffet. At the restaurants, you have to pay for White WINE. Yet at the beach, you can have WHITE WINE Free of charge!

Beautiful Resort

The resort is absolutely beautiful. The beach is super nice but a bit short. Not for long walks. The water is very clear. Excellent for swimming. The Resort itself and grounds are well kept. The staff is super nice and accommodating. Excellent shows in the evening. The rooms are spacious, best bed I had in Cuba so far. However, we had constant problems with WiFi. For a 5* Hotel, the food could have had a bit more of a verity. Also, you had to pay for the white wine. There was no butter no [... read more]r tea. All in all, we did enjoy our stay and I would not hesitate to go back.

Truly amazing resort!

We loved staying in this hotel.!. The resort is new and modern. the A la cart restaurants were very good and we could go there more than once. The food was very well prepared in the buffet and snack bar. The hotel was very clean and had all necessary things. the Beach is spectacular. Masks had to be worn in the public places like buffet, lobby, theatre. We are definitely coming back!

BEAUTIFUL RESORT, BUT BE AWARE!!!

This brand new resort is beautiful, however, unless you upgrade to Elite rooms, expect food to be questionable at best. Also, due to Cuba's economy, Cubans fill the resorts, up to 99% FULL of Cubans who receive money from Canadian or American family to eat and drink for a few days because their shelves are empty and exorbitant prices. They come with many children and family members. We were definitely the 1% at most. After talking to our Air Canada Vacation rep, we were moved to Elite "restau [... read more]rant" and food was improved. The employees of the resort are incredible, kind, and very helpful. Always a smile. Resort is extremely clean. Beach is beautiful, but jammed packed with locals. Also be aware of the black market exchange!! You will be expected to pay (in pesos) based on black market. Pay only in CANADIAN DOLLARS.

Beautiful resort

The resort is very large and spacious and well kept. The pools are clean. The food was one of the best I have had in Cuba and the drinks and the entire staff in the lobby bar were top notch! The rooms were very clean the beds and pillows very comfy. All staff were diligent in wearing masks at all times even the gardeners, which I thought was overkill when working outside in that heat! Unfortunately they were very rude and loud and constantly cut in line and did not wait their turn at the bars or the buffet and this was a very big turn off. They quite often let all family and friends in the line despite the fact that many others were waiting. The serving and bar staff could do more to regulate the lines and serve people in the order in which they appear. I would suggest this resort for sure however the last points really made the trip not as good as it should be as there was constant frustration.

Beautiful resort.

Stayed at this resort for 3 weeks. Very clean. Continually sanitizing. Beautiful grounds, pool and beach. We thought the food was great. The staff was amazing. Guest services was so helpful. Katia our housekeeper was the very best. Was a pleasure to see Lisandra and Yusanvni.(Sorry about spelling.) as our severs in the buffet, so welcoming everyday. Clean and beautiful resort!

This resort is pretty new. They just opened about 2 and half months. I just love the smell of new places, new towels, new beddings etc…There is only one main buffet and 3 a la cart restaurants, one snack bar opens 24 hours by the beach. The food are not too bad. Not too much shows to watch but they do have nightly entertainment such as a band and a singer at the lobby. There’s a big night club in the lobby area. Also a bar on the 7th floor which is not included in the all inclusive package. You have to pay for the drinks there and a pool table. If you pay by peso it’s cheaper than USD. There is an exclusive adult only side of the hotel which is probably premium paid. Over all it’s a nice resort, the beach is beautiful with clear water and white sand. Pools are nice. Hot tub is not hot or not even warm. Weather is not too hot in January around 25-28 degree celsius during the day but windy and rainy and could get cooler in the evening so a light sweater is recommended.

Very Beautiful Hotel but No

This hotel is amazing, staff is amazing food was okay, drinks were disappointing. My complaint is that it was 80 to 85% Cuban guests and as much as I love the Cuban people, when there is a lot of alcohol consumed, they get loud and rude. I was served after many Cubans even if I was first. I would not return for this reason. I paid top dollar for a five star hotel and expect to be with others who have done the same.

Amazing resort

I came to this resort on the day of Gran Opening Nov 1, 2021. This is brand new and beautiful resort The staff are really good and wonderful The 24h snack bar has great drinks. I understand the food at this time not much , but we have great food every day from international buffet. The Japanese restaurant is awesome with a great chef. The pool is large and different pool for adult and family. Free Wifi . This beach absolutely beautiful with white and soft sand . However, this beach not a good [... read more] beach compare to anther part of Cuba I have been such as , Cayo Coco, Cayo Guillermo, Cayo Santa María, and Varadero. Why the beach is beautiful, but not good ? This is a public beach and accessible for everybody, We sat on a beach lounge chair from the resort, but so many public people seating nearby eating and drink beer, They put all the garbage on the beach and throw the cans to the ocean. We did not feel safe. I hope in the future will be some improving. In general, I recommend coming to this resort.
