Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Great Hotel if you like walking

This place is beautiful. If you have scent allergies the check in/out can be hard as the lobby is horrible . Luckily the rest of the resort doesn’t smell like that. The pools are gorgeous ( If you don’t get a chair before 8 am you will not have one at the pool - beach is better) Food is good . However, if you are a diabetic there are not a lot of whole grain options ( they have gluten free items but as a diabetic that isn’t good to me . We were not lucky enough to have a clean room daily . Dirty linen, shampoo etc not filled and 2nd day the door was left unlocked - no apology at all even though they checked the door lock to see that no one from our room had come in after the cleaner . The safe was broken and the guy came twice to fix it - not fixed . We tipped first 3 days then stopped . 4th day - no toilet paper in the room ! Luckily we had another room we could lock up our stuff . If we had not had that I would have been really upset . My other 2 friends rooms didn’t have same problems with cleaning . Take taxis to places instead of booked excursions. Drivers that consierge can take you anywhere and stay all day for a few hundred $ the entrance to Tulune for example is about $4 US . You can then go somewhere else same day . We went to a beach to snorkel .

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Best Resort In All Of Cuba

The room was immaculate and everything was brand new. Our swim up room was lovely and the service was excellent. Our pool attendant would come over and move our umbrella to maximize the shade on our deck for us. The a la carte restaurants were great and the buffet had a small but great selection. The wine wasn't great at the start of the week but they got a new shipment midweek and it was significantly better. The grounds were very clean and safe. The only two things I would say negative about our experience is that the resort is an a hour and fifteen minutes from the airport and there is nothing around it and it might be helpful to download google translate or know some basic Spanish as most staff spoke very little English so it made it more difficult to communicate. The beach had beautiful white sand and brilliant turquoise water. We really enjoyed our stay. Jason the chef at the beach BBQ was amazing it was a nice touch so you did not have to walk up to the resort for lunch.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: very nice resort

the staff were so friendly and efficient and our room was always clean and fresh. The grounds were kept immaculate and although we didn't have a great variety of food there was plenty for people to choose from. there was no facecloths so suggest you bring your own....I loved my holiday in the sun on the beautiful beaches in Cuba. They were very cautious concerning Covid and we all felt very safe. Would definitely recommend this vacation resort!

The Hotel was well kept and clean. The first few days no wine was available only to purchase. Wine became available as it should be with an all inclusive and food improved significantly in our last few days. Great place for a reasonable price. Beach and Pool great. Staff all friendly and helpful.

I like to the holidays I love people where fover family and friends love the pool and the beach and the people too I will go back maybe next year I have no words to see bad the room was nice clean go back next year

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: A lovely resort. Magestic. Wonderful staff

The resort is gorgeous. The adults only is a blessing! I love kiddos, but I have to admit, not having the screaming and yelling was peaceful. Due to Covid the resort was lacking in supplies. There was no wine at meals, no choices of meats at the buffet. No pizza, fries or hot dogs at the the grill. Most of the ala cartes were closed and the beach grill was closed. The last 2 days of our stay the head office folks showed up and voila! Wine at meals, hot dogs and pizza! Drinks were served in prope [... read more]r glasses, beer in frosted beer mugs. We had ketchup and mayo in wee serving dishes. Drink service around the pool! Staff were pulling out chairs for the female guests! A facade put on for the head honchos no doubt, but those 2 days (our last) were quite nice. Too bad it's not a regular habit. And this may be a little thing, but the resort has beautiful fountains everywhere, but only one runs and then not everyday! The rooms are spacious, plenty of hot water, good pressure. Staff are very good. Don't exchange your money into pescos. They take canadian money. And this is odd. They don't accept US money but everything in the gift stores etc are priced in US dollars. All in all it was an enjoyable resort and vacation. I'd try a different place next time though!

The grounds are beautiful, the pool area was great , the rooms could use some work and the entertainment was good.The beach area was awesome. Covid rules were adhered and it felt safe. The food was not very good. The workers were amazing and very friendly and helpful. We were not told about all the events going on and found out about them to late

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Amazing Hotel and Staff

Amazing week!!! This resort was all and more than we could have wished for. We arrived April 8th to the 15th . The staff here are the best. The beach is awesome...like no other. The food was made right in front of you and they do a great job. Omelette, bacon and fresh homemade bread every morning. We were first met by Ariel Morales who could not do enough for us ❤from taking us to our beautiful room, to show us a beautiful evening sunset , to checking in on us every day and our splendid engl [... read more]ish conversations daily. We miss you already our friend. Dayanelis Coria Pardillo is beautiful. She is the entertainment and is fabulous at her job. She works very hard to get us visitors involved in the activities. Ismael Morgafo at the buffet goes above and beyond to help you out. He is very humble. Lali and Alfredo Manuel Sanchez Barroso will keep your Spanish coffee coming. They take real pride in their job. Freddie in maintenance..if you get the pleasure to meet him it will make you smile. These are just a few of staff that we had the pleasure to spend time with. Thank you all for all you do. And we can't forget Joseph...the entertainer. You are very talented my friend. We can't go without saying how amazing all the staff is at this resort. It was also a bonus treat to meet our fellow Nova Scotians on vacation. Thanks to all for a very relaxing and much needed vacation at this beautiful resort. If anyone is heading there soon Ariel could really use an agenda book (daily planner book) and pens. All supplies are greatly appreciated.

The staff were exceptional. The place cleaning standards were excellent. The entertainment was superb!The food is ok. There was no red wine available. The connection to the internet was terrible, customers should be aware of that.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Amazing Resort

Very happy with this Resort staff friendly beautiful scenery and great variety of food choices. Loved the live Band performance and the wonderful scenery and variety of blooming plants 🪴 and wildlife. Highly recommend this wonderful Resort and the Food was excellent.👍🏽👏🏽

Hotel Bella Costa: great trip

We always enjoy going to Iberostar Bella Costa hotel because of the people(staff) we got to know over the years at the hotel. The staff as wonderful customer service. We have been to that hotel 5 times and for us it's great. Also we enjoy the selection of food choices and the service. Our rooms are ok, because we are barely in our room during the day. The beach is wonderful. The water is clean and clear very beautiful. We spend most of our time on the beach in the morning and afternoon near th [... read more]e pool for the entertainment. This hotel is close to town so we either go on horse and buggee, double decker bus or taxi. So we enjoy going to town. Due to covid things have changed in the past 2 years in town and all over. For the residents in Cuba lots of products are not available for them and the Cuban money is not worth much. For example they have no toothpaste, milk and many other things. They are thriving because of Covid. We should be greatful and lucky of what we have. With all of this happening in Cuba, the people are very helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful time and will probably go back to the same hotel when we go to Cuba.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great resort just some things need to change

I am very happy you chose me as one to do a survey. It is my second visit at your hotel. Your staff are amazing. Chocolate at the entertainment crew fantastic. But there were two people I want to give special attention too. I don't know her name but she was my cleaning lady in room 7212 from April 2nd to the 11th. When I travel, I purposefully do not allow cleaning people in my room for I know they work hard and want to give them a rest. However, I tip for the days they did not come in due to my [... read more] own request. This woman who knew very little English went out of her way for me. She would see me in the hallway and point to coffee etc and she was trying to tell me I know you don't want your room cleaned but do you need anything through sign language. The other woman is working at your congierge area. Her name starts with an a M. She is very pretty and very thin. When she found out that there was no creamers anywhere to be found in the hotel she brought me some from her home. I was so shocked and touched. She is the best. Those are the best people from the bottom rung to the top. You requested to discuss covid measures in your hotel. In no way could guests wear masks due to heat. Your staff had them on but very few if only maybe 5 percent were covered up fully. They had their masks up but only covering their mouths not noses. I get this with the heat and having to communicate all day long very difficult. I would highly suggest staff be given glass visor masks so they can breathe and communicate well. The hotel grounds were immaculate and precision care was given, most importantly public bathrooms were given great attention I commend. But a few things changed and I think the whole chain should be aware of this before the name Iberostar goes down in reputation. There were so many prostitutes in the hotel I counted about seven. I talked to two of them, they said they had rooms there. I saw four woman surround two German men who left with these woman two nights in a row. I knew for a fact their wives were sleeping. I also met a man in his mid thirties who admitted he hired one of the girls. He said he gave her the 24.00 american as requested but instead waited to he went to the washroom and tried to steal his winter coat. He then told her to get out immediately. You have to understand in Canadian culture we can have compassion in our hearts for those poor people who have to resort to such measures. However, many tourist woman noticed in hotel and were not impressed at all. Please make measures from now on to not allow this.

Staff was extremely friendly at all levels. That friendliness and politeness made our vacation extremely enjoyable. Although COVID, blockade and years without tourists affected the ability to have the same level of food offerings as previous years, the kitchen staff did great work, using effective creativity prepared tasty and great food. The ground was well maintained, the beach is the best in Varadero, and we were staying in 7 different hotels, but this portion of the beach is the best. They could make small improvements in fixing caulking and sealing in bathroom – that can significantly improve impression that we have. Evening Entertainment program was great, in 2 weeks they did not repeat the same program once. Artists were exceptionally good – we enjoyed their performance both weeks. All staff was wearing masks, hand sanitizers were available and functional in multiple locations. They also requested tourists to wear masks in closed areas, in the restaurants, bars all the time except when eating or drinking. You had to wear masks when ordering food or ordering the drinks. We really felt very safe from COVID there.

I know things are hard with covid. Trying to restart everything. They are doing a great job. Place is clean / staff great /drinks cold/beach great/ pool warm/. Was nice to get away. Resort at 25 % capacity so shortages but lots to drink and eat. They are doing great job was more then pleased with my trip

Hotel Bella Costa: Great resort

All employees were required to wear a mask. Although we ate at the buffet, they would put the food in our plate instead of self serve. Our room was always kept clean. The beach was amazing as usual one thing to remember is to bring bug spray as the mosquitoes were very bad. Future tourist should bring more Canadian or us cash as the Cuban peso is almost worthless.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Not what it use to be 😢

Let me start by saying this was our third time at the Iberostar Daiquiri. We chose this resort because the first two times were amazing !!! Only half the resort is open , due to covid I am sure , in a way that was nice because it was rather full at half capacity! It was extremely difficult to get a spot on the beach or near the pool as there were not enough chairs. My husband would carry our patio chairs so we had something to sit on . The pools needed to be vacuumed as there were plastic cups and cigarette butts on the bottoms of both pools. The small kids pool could not be used by the kids for a couple of days as it was very green :-( . The rooms were cleaned daily by the lovely ladies, they left very nice towel art daily and were very thankful for the small gifts left daily. The main washrooms in the lobby could have used a little more tlc and there was rarely toilet paper in them. The food was the same thing everyday breakfast , lunch and supper:-( No fresh fish , very little fruit and basically just lettuce and cucumber in the fresh veggie selection. We arrived on a Friday and tried to get a couple of the al la carts and the earliest we could get one was for the Thursday before we left and the Friday that we left. The staff just didn’t seem to be wanting to be there , it never use to be like that. The entertainment was little to none !! Not much going on at all during the day , in the past they always had a game of something going on. They ran out out Beer, sugar, coffee, vodka, pineapple, no tequila or limes just to make a few. I understand that covid is a big factor , however in speaking with others at the airport that we’re just down the road , not one of them spoke of shortages or lack of. The final straw for us was we didn’t leave until 6:15 Friday evening, I tried to extend our room as they explained to us they no longer offer a shower due to covid, they said we could have it only for two hours as they had a booking for our room, BUT they advertise that they leave each room empty for 24 hrs due to cleaning and covid , check in is 4 pm ???? In the beginning I said we would comeback again next year as we love the beach area, but I will really have to think about it :-(

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Small Resort.

Love this hotel because it is a small hotel,easy to get around. The staff is absolutely amazing!! That’s why we have been going there for years. The food right now is not very good, because of Covid. Things have been very hard for the Cuban people to get. The rooms are very spacious, and clean. But unfortunately they only leave water in the rooms now. There is no beer, or pop.No coffee makers either at the moment. Food in general is not the best in Cuba,but the restaurants Italian,and Romanti [... read more]co are okay. The beach is fabulous and easy to get lounge chairs . The hotel has been quieter than we have ever seen it, not much entertainment at night.But hopefully things will pick up soon. Beer is hard to get in Cuba, it’s a hit and a miss! Rum is always available, but other drinks a little harder. The Hop on Hop off Bus stops right outside the hotel and it comes every 30 minutes, and it’s $5.00 Canadian.

Gorgeous resort with amazing pools, wonderful food and fabulous hospitality. We went to this resort with our 10 month old daughter. It was very family friendly with high chairs at every restaurant, kid menus, baby kitchen, and kids water playground. We all really enjoyed our time!

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Incredible Resort

First of all, Victoria Guest did a great job on our booking to this resort. Resort is amazing, truly 5 star. Rooms, layout, pools, beach, all great. Restaurants are overall good but the need for reservations is a pain. Italian restaurant needs better Italian food; lasagna and spaghetti are not good. My wife hated the fact there is a woman employee always looming in the washrooms. The need for a butler is questionable but he was nice. Beyond that, the place is spectacular.
