Bahia Principe Explore Coba: We loved it!

My husband and I traveled to GBP Coba for 10 days. The resort was beautiful and kept very clean. We thought the food was amazing at the a la Cart restaurants but had to tip in order to get additional restaurants added to our stay (with 10 days you only get 4 restaurants). We tried all 9! The only one we were disappointed in was the Oasis, as everything was too salty. The Japanese, Mediterranean, Le Gourmet, and Brazilian were our favourites. We loved all the options for entertainment in the even [... read more]ing, especially la hascienda and the casino. If we wanted a quite night we would just lay around in the hammocks, which was very relaxing! They keep the beach very clean, there are workers constantly picking up seaweed. For the most part the sand is soft however certain parts of the beach have a number of rocks when you enter the water. We would walk over to the Akumal beach when we wanted to go into the water since there were very few rocks at that point. If you want to get tiki hut by the pool you will have to be up before 7am as people put towels on their chairs very early! There is less of a rush to get a spot by the beach since there are a greater number of tiki huts you should be able to find one available at any point during the day. We travelled in June and were worried about the mosquitos, but we didn't see any! The only bite we received was when we were on an excursion to the Jungle Maya. We felt that this resort is great for people of all ages, there is lots to do for families as well as groups of friends, or couples. We would love to come back!

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Awesome resort

Wonderful place to stay at. The food is great the service is good. Grounds are well maintain. I would go back any time. The only down fall is all the iguanas everywhere but it is a resort in the jungle.

Smart Cancun By Oasis: Great hotel great location

The hotel is walking distance to the main road for public transportation to the mains beach. The front desk and waiter personal speak Spanish and English fluently. Nice size pool including a great setting nice little spa, nice gym. Room on 6th floor come with King bed and the room are very clean and large size

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Pleasantly peaceful

This hotel was wonderfully remote. I felt like everyone was close with each other. Whether it was the staff members getting along with each other or with other guests, it seemed really close. The rooms were well stocked and simple. Everything was close by (i.e pool, beach, food). Speaking of food, it was delicious. The buffet was always hot and ready, and the restaurants were beautiful. We had an amazing time!

Riu Flamingos: Great Stay

Me and my boyfriend we stayed at the Riu Jalisco for a week at the end of May 2017. Hotel is great, staff friendly, food is ok. The discotheque at night was a plus. The only thing is that the entertainment team would mostly speak Spanish. We were at the pool and did not understand anything from the game that was going on. Beside that, it was a wonderful stay. I would recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Meh

The hotel was nice, however, the worst service I have ever received at an all-inclusive resort, and I have stayed at 2 other Grand Bahia's in other countries. Very unfriendly and rude staff at the restaurants and bars. The food was good, but could not drink a sip of water. It always tasted like soap. The staff at the front desk were a hit or miss. Sometimes, friendly and helpful and other times, completely rude, rushed, and unhelpful.

Occidental Tucancun: Relaxing resort for couples!

The grounds were kept extremely clean, the staff was really nice, not really rowdy and the plazas across the street was perfect for night time walks and dinner outside of the resort (for those that wanted a bit of variety). Limited food selection but couldn't complain about anything else.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Amazing Resort!!!

This resort was absolutely amazing. The service, cleanliness and employees are top notch! The overall layout of the resort was perfect, never having to walk more than 5-7 minutes to the 4 pools, 8+ restaurants and multiple bars. Every single employee was extremely friendly,helpful and happy. We will definitely be returning to this resort and definitely upgrade to Privilege.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Exceptional Resort

The Ocean Coral and Turquesa was a wonderful resort. The food, cleanliness, employees and service was outstanding. We stayed for 5 days and every single day we were wowed by the friendliness of all employees and superb service. The restaurants were fantastic and the beach and pools were great. The overall layout of the resort was great, never having to walk more than 5-7 minutes to access all the 4 pools and multiple restaurants and bars. We will definitely be returning soon.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Beautiful Resort

It's a very beautiful resort and is kept very clean! The staff are so friendly and awesome! The beach and ocean were beautiful as well! My only complaint was the lack of grills, not a fan of the buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Was there 4 days and only got 2 restaurant meals so we were stuck with a lot of buffets. I've never been to a resort that didn't have a grill or lunch restaurant. Rooms were clean but dated, I stayed in 5374.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Loved every moment!

My very good friend and I were upgraded to Sian Ka'an just moments after we arrived. Loved the beaches, infinity pool, food was great and staff were so friendly! We will be visiting again next year!!!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Lots to do and see!

Travelled April 2017 with my hubby, 3 kids aged 8, 11, 13 and my mom. Rooms-very nice, clean, good size. Hot water was hit and miss. Prime time showering before dinner seemed to be when we lost hot water. We had 2 deluxe rooms in building 72 and 74. Building 74 room had a sewage smell coming from bathroom. We kept toilet door shut and it kept the smell from travelling to bedroom area. Grounds-beautiful trees, plant life, cenote, walking trails. Employees were out daily trimming bus [... read more]hes, taking care of the many areas on this huge resort. Bike trail good. Felt very safe walking grounds. Main pool area was great. Lots of chairs. We spent most of our time here. Towel service at pool only had fresh towels till around 3pm, then you were out of luck unless you walked all the way to the lobby. We made sure to always get towels first thing in the morning. Pool games for kids were good. It would have been nice if there was some shaded areas set up where the kids had to wait for their turn on the mechanical bull and the inflatable ball. Kids loved the swim up bar. Different poolside food set up each day. Lots of people ignoring the no smoking signs at the pool and staff never told them to smoke elsewhere. Water park-cute for little ones, larger slides only occupied my older kids for maybe a half hour. Tube slide not working while we were there. Nice little bbq bar set up daily. Food -A la carts were all wonderful. Highly recommend steakhouse and Italian. -International Buffett was NOT pleasing. Food looked like it was out all day, not fresh. The kids didn't want to try anything as they couldn't recognize anything to try (not Americanized). The deserts were bland. Only good thing was ice cream. We decided to avoid this location for meals. -Snack bars ice cream machine ALWAYS BROKEN. It would have been better to just remove the machine then always be dissapointed that it wasn't working. Food most times looked stale but my daughter liked the burgers. Beach-rocky, but we knew that from the reviews. Walked down the beach to the south and there was a great swimming area we could go in no problem. Kids collected shells and coral. Evening entertainment -shows in theatre great -Mayan shows not very good, I think the language barrier contributed to the kids and adults in our party no enjoying it Teen Club (ages 10+). Kids went one night and I was told what time to come back to get them (my kids are aged 11&13). When I got there to pick them up the doors were locked and the kids said they closed it early and they had to wait outside for me to get them without any supervision and limited lighting. They were there alone about 30-45 minutes. NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT! Overall-good time, nice for kids first all-inclusive experience, won't go back but would reccommend.

Grand Sunset Princess: Great place to stay !!!

No words can do this place justice when it comes to describing the service, staff, food and everything else this resort has to offer. All I can say is that you have to go to experience it to believe it. The food was amazing and a wide selection. Staff was fantastic and always going out of their way to make our vacation an unforgettable one. Rooms and cleanliness always A+. Pools were amazing and clean everyday. Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Pretty Good Resort

Grounds - Kept well. No complaints. Took a bit to figure out which way was which. haha. Really enjoyed the jungle setting. Lots of birds, iguanas, and monkeys around. Highlight. We had a room in #12 and in the afternoon the monkeys would be in the trees outside our room. We were able to feed them bananas from our hand and they would come right to our balcony. Rooms - I thought the rooms were in great shape. The bathroom door was weird as it had more of a blinds type privacy rather than a solid  [... read more]door. Hot water took forever, but it came eventually. Pools - Our favourite part of this resort. The water was nice and warm which made it easy for the kids to get in. The pool was huuge! Did not feel crowded at all and lots of space to swim around, explore, and play. Beach - Least favourite part. Although we're not really beach people so a bit biased. But, it's a cove setting, so you don't get that beach feel or view. The beach seating was set up into 3 levels with stairs going down, so a bit different that you would normally see at resorts. Lots of fish though. Bring bananas to the water and watch the fish swarm around you. Food - mediocre. It was food and we ate it, but nothing special here. Selection seemed smaller than most resorts I've been to. Not terrible, but not great. Resort Overall about a 6/10. Don't think I'd return as the last Mayan Resort we went to we enjoyed more.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing resort!

The resort is amazing, the entire property is accessible and clean. The staff are always helpful and hardworking. This property has for resorts and very accessible. We are able to see and use the facilities without any problem.

Riu Flamingos: Beautiful resort; okay time

The scenery is pretty. It is very well kept! Our favourite place became the lobby bar area to play games and look out over the fountains with the best bar staff on site. We loved venturing into Puerto Vallarta, which is available via bus or a not as long taxi ride that we found to be worth the money ($280 pesos total one way) between four of us. We suggest booking your excursions earlier in the week, less seems to be offered on the weekend. We did not have a problem finding chairs at the beach o [... read more]r pool in mid-May. Lots of Mexicans frequented this resort, which brought great energy - it did mean much more Spanish was spoken. We enjoyed dancing, but had better entertainment on our catamaran tour. If doing a catamaran tour, I would suggest doing something more private where you get to snorkel/kayak longer and explore a lot more. Worth the extra money. Getting to and from the airport with Sunwing was very easy. We wish the activity staff (who were passionate about what they did and put in a lot of effort) could be less repetitive in their music, sound effects, and introductions. It was exactly the same every day and made being around the pool annoying. Luckily the beach is right there for an alternative, still within walking distance to the bar and washrooms. Loved our room and having a balcony - top floor was great but would ask to not be facing the fountains/pool/entertainment area as it can be loud, especially in the morning with dishes being cleaned in the restaurant. Food was okay - much better food in town! Resorts are not my thing, but we were pleasantly impressed. Good value for your dollar.

Riu Santa Fe: Party Central

Hotel was really nice. It was clean and well kept. Food was good with good variety. Pools where nice. Staff were friendly. The pools by the beach was the party place for young people who got rather drunk and noisy. Our room was good but we where kept up every night till after 2:00am. With people either partying or fighting. One night it lasted till 5:00am till the music and screaming finally stopped. Always enjoy a good party and the sights but this was a bit much at times.

Grand Oasis Cancun: 10/10!!!

It was my first vacation in 5 years! I had the best time ever , the locals and workers were very friendly and the people staying st the resort were fun and very social , and the food was great! I recommend buying black wristband . I will definetly be back!

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Absolutely Amazing Resort

Pools were amazing. Loved the lazy river! Rooms were beautiful. The only downside at all was the ocean had a lot of seaweed in it. Service was excellent anywhere you went. Drinks were great. Loved not having to reserve restaurants.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Gorgeous Resort!

Everything was awesome! Loved the beach, loved the pool area, every staff member was so happy and so nice to chat with. The food was amazing. I would most definitely go back! The grounds keeping was incredible and so beautiful... miss it already!!
