Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Something for Everyone

Beautiful and very clean rooms and resort. Food at Restaurant and also the buffet was excellent!! Great activities and pool bar team! Lush full trees and very nice beach with miles along the beach you can walk.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Awesome Resort

This resort was everything we expected. The grounds, the beach and pools are fabulous. The food was great, always something to eat. The rooms were very clean. The rooms are dated but clean. Yes there were a couple of mosquitos, but we were not bit or anything like that. Would go back. They have multiple pools and always were able to get chairs around pools. They had lunch at pool area each day. The weather was great.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing Vacation!!

I’ve been to this resort 5 or 6 times and it’s safe to say i’ve never been disappointed!! Ignore any negative reviews, everything about this vacay was to die for. Only complaint was that it should have been a longer stay. Drinks are endless and the bartenders are so friendly (order the Miami Vice, Cosmopolitan, or the Riviera Maya every time). I recommend making time for the shows, especially the magic show which had my jaw DROPPED. Also, if you’re doing an excursion (which are so much fun) such as Xplor or Xcaret, bring water shoes!! You need closed toed shoes & will definitely need them if you don’t want to ruin your sneakers (and buy them before to avoid paying $50 USD like we did). I cant wait to be back!! btw location 4/5 just because it’s so far from the airport & you have to stop at like 6 other resorts first making for a long bus ride

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort

The resort was beautiful. Our butler was so helpful Samual always made sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us all of the time. Our maid service did a great job but they could do more special things in the rooms to make their guests feel special. We were very disappointed in the beach very rocky which surprised us because everyone raved about the beaches in Dominican. They have not been to Cuba or Roatan. Those are beautiful beaches.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Excellent Resort

We stayed at this same location in 2020 prior to covid and it was amazing! The resort food was excellent once again this year but starting to see it needs a bit of tender care in the bedrooms. Nothing really bad but some simple repairs. I definitely would go again, so that says it all!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful resort

The grounds at Bahia Principe Jamaica are well maintained and kept very clean. It was a pleasure looking out of our balcony and seeing the beautiful greenery of the grass, trees and shrubs. Our room had enough towels and we never had to ask for anything extra. There was a large variety of food to satisfy anyone and enough room in the dining area and outside restaurants. We only tried the a la carte Italiana restaurant and it was not very good. We didn’t try other a la carte restaurants because it was very hard to get a reservation. All in all it is a beautiful resort and I would definitely recommend it. The staff is very friendly.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: This has always been my favourite resort, it went above and beyond again!

I stayed on the Luxury side the last week of February 2023. Going in, having read reviews, I was hoping some of the reviews were not accurate. To say the least, I have no idea what there is to complain about. My room was fabulous! Up to date, always clean, with a fabulous view. The food was outstanding everywhere I ate. I was able to book 6 a la cartes, Dolce Vita (with Ken Roy serving us with a smile), The Knife twice (Anthony Palmer - the absolute best server we ran into, remembered  [... read more]us the next night when we were there at Don Pablo and made sure we had the best seat in restaurant even though he was doing the romantic dinners on the beach), Picasso (Nikita outstanding service), Rodizio ( Hushane and Gwayne, were consistently looking after our needs), and Don Pablo (Alex Paddyfoot- who went out of his way to ensure that my birthday meal was everything I could hope for). The River Falls bar had amazing staff as well. Jermaine became my go to guy. As soon as he saw me and I said "whatever" he created drinks that I thoroughly enjoyed. I had a massage on the beach with Kimone, leaving her totally relaxed. The staff at this resort are always going out of their way to make sure that their guests feel welcome an at home while staying with them. My butler, Shanice, made me so happy with the birthday sign on my door, and then birthday wishes spelled out on my bed. The cleanliness of this resort is outstanding. They power wash the pool decks each and every night. There are personnel on the beach cleaning chairs and tables all the time. It was so much fun to again get to snorkel in the "lagoon". I had forgotten how many different kinds of fish there were. One day, much to the delight of those on the beach, there was a small octopus! When my time there came to an end, I really was disappointed that I had not booked a longer stay. I will be back!

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Resort review

The grounds of the hotel and surrounding area were beautiful as was the view from from our balcony. The staff was exceptional, especially the “entertainment.” Nightly shows were great. The food was ok but not great. The only al a carte restaurant that I would return to was the French one. All public spaces were really nice. Rooms are in dire need of a reno starting with bathrooms.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: A great experience

With Nicole we were able to enjoy a great vacation at a great resort. Nicole was able to ensure any room arrangements were set properly. We had questions about transportation to and from the resort. Nicole answered the questions very quickly and follow up. To ensure there was no issues. Great pleasure working with here.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Such a great experience!

The food was fabulous, the service was fabulous, the grounds were expertly maintained. Everything was so clean! The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, the dining was fantastic! Excellent entertainment… A very romantic small resort to get your R&R and enjoy the sun…so great!

This was our first time in the Dominican and couldnt have picked a better resort. It was beautiful, amazing staff was always helpful and friendly. Food was actually very good, no complaints about the buffets or a-la-carte restaurants. Beach was very clean and beautiful as well. A lot of stairs to get from our room to the lobby/pools, etc. But the shuttle was very helpful in getting us around too.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Disappointed

The resort in general is quite nice and well kept. The rooms are a bit dated but clean with a comfortable bed. However, the bathroom is sub standard because of the bad lighting and crowded shower space which is a bit scary because of the slippery floor in the tub (a warning sign is posted). The buffet is smaller than most and some of the offerings are questionable because they don't fit the time of day they are being served but you don't have to take them because there are many more choices.  [... read more]This is a family resort and is not geared to meeting other people. For instance, there are no bars with seating which makes it harder to interact with others that you don't know. Make sure you book your ala carte restaurants immediately. We waited until our second day and there was nothing available so we were relegated to seven days of the buffet which gets old really quickly. The biggest disappointment was that the Casino was closed and has been for three months. We chose this resort because it had an on-site casino and quite obviously feel cheated because no web sites or information disclosed this fact. The casino was important to us because Bahia Principe resorts "roll up their sidewalks" at ten pm. unless you are a disco going type. I repeat, it is suited to families.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Very disappointing

I have travel to several of their resorts and will not return to this one! The service was minimal and the staff did not seem to know the most basic information about the hotel, such as where certain onsite restaurants where located - even the maps were inaccurate. The Gym was well equipped but half of the equipment was broken! The staff did not seem happy, even when tipped generously. The rooms are outdated and requires important upgrades as the amenities were non functional, including the jacu [... read more]zzi bath, tv. The food was particularly disappointing regardless of which buffet or restaurant we went to or the time - the coffee came from a free vending machine. There were just too many issues overall.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Resort was better than expected

I stayed at the Coba resort at the Bahia principe from Feb 20-27. The rooms are outdated but are very clean and maintained. The buffet food was average, no major complaints. The a La cartes (Italian, tequila and teppanyaki) were excellent. Highly recommend the tequila if you can get a reservation. The margs and tacos were delicious! The beach is small and pretty crowded. Overall would recommend this resort if you can get a good price for it, are okay with a basic clean resort and are not looking for a spectacular beach.

This is the second time we have been here. We really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was so friendly especially the entertainment staff. We will definately go back. We felt very safe at the resort. The good was very good. They accomadated the area of where I needed my room to be since I dont do elevators. The manager was very helpful and accommodating.

This is a fantastic, low-profile gem of a resort. Would definitely consider going back here again because of the value. If you are looking for a relaxing, no-frills place to vacation with great amenities and friendly reliable service. I highly recommend!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Lotsa laughs

Met lots of fun people, service was impeccable! Mostly Canadians, which was nice. The Mayan people are beautiful and super friendly. The golf was excellent! Would return in a heartbeat! Have nothing else to say!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Very nice family resort

First off, thank you Carol for being so pleasant, patient and so helpful over the phone. What you said about the Bahia Principe Grande was pretty much bang on. Nice resort, clean room, mostly pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Lots of entertainment and activities to keep you busy if you want to immerse yourself in the Jamaican/Caribbean vibe. Complaints, after a very good "white dress party" on the beach, loud DJ music kept up until after 1am. This was well after the party was basically over. Music was so loud I could not sleep. I thought this was excessive and not conducive to the heavy family dynamic there. Other than that, 7 days well spent with near perfect weather.

Nice clean hotel on a beautiful property. The views from the hotel are amazing. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Wide variety of food at the buffet and the restaurants are very good. Highly recommend the French restaurant.

The hotel itself was well kept as was the grounds and beaches. Our booking stated "superior garden suite". There is NO SUCH THING. All the hotel rooms are standard. Also we were advised that we had "privileges" at all hotels. WRONG!! The AIR CANADA REP advised we could use beach, drinks, but for lunch had to go back to our dining room. NOT GOOD. Food was good at main hotel, but, a pain going there for lunch when there were restaurants on beach. The did have a BBQ each day,and SAME [... read more] THING EVERY DAY, salad, hamburgers, chicken and rice, but you had to take your plate back to beach chair to eat. NOT GOOD.
