Excellence Playa Mujeres: Terrific service and food with a resort atmosphere
I have been to several adult only resorts in Mayan and this is the best. ( Valentin Imperial, Secrets Marina and Iberostar Grand Paraiso to name a few). The service and food was phenomenal. It didn't matter if you are at the a la carte buffet, beach, or room service the food was amazing. The French Restaurant was the best... French onion soup and filet mignon. The Aroma coffee shop had delicious desserts, sandwhiches, handmade icecream, fruit and juices. It was the little extra touches like [... read more]popsicle cart, pizza made in wood oven on beach, live entertainment on beach around pool. The only negative was the mosquitoes which was not the resorts fault. The resort did everything they could to get rid of them. I would definitely return to this resort.

Sandos Cancun: Sandos was fantastic!
We traveled to Cancun for the first time and very happy that we chose Sandos! We had a 16-month old with us and although the hotel was not really a kid/family hotel - it was great! Our little one and us enjoyed the pool area with the ocean view and nice sun tents as well as a nice beach and a beautiful blue ocean.
The staff was providing a high quality service and accommodated all our requests, including the crib for the baby and daily milk supply for his bottles. And everybody around really [... read more]seemed to love our baby - it was very тшÑую
The minor complaint we had was that we constantly had to ask to bring the water bottles to our room as they were forgetting to leave them when the room was getting cleaned and we needed at least 3-4 bottles every day to wash baby's bottles and also just stay hydrated.
The weather was great, no hurricanes - just a couple of rains here and there. If you want to have a blast at Sandos - get a room with a balcony. We enjoyed having coffee and snacks from the room service that was operating 24 hours, and watch sunrise and a beautiful night views from our room once we did an upgrade for the balcony.

TRS Coral: Amazing Resort
We went there for our annual "girls" trip. Every year we decide on a different hotel and often in a different location. Hands down this had to be the best up to now. The property is beautiful, the rooms comfortable and well appointed, although they could use some more shelves or drawers to store one's clothes. We had a swim up room and used our pool area a lot, especially on the days when the weather was a trifle unselttled. Everything is very clean, and constantly being cleaned. The food at the[... read more] La Boheme was absolutely amazing, and the other restaurants were very good as well, (we went to Helios, El Gaucho, and Tapeo). The other restaurants were on the family side, so we decided to skip them this time. The Chic dinner and show will entertain and amaze you. We had excellent service for the staff at all venues. Say hi to Jose Luis at the pool, he'll bring you wonderful drinks all day, or you might see him in the Lobby bar or the Gravity Bar. All the staff rotate. We were in Building 01, bottom floor, swim up suites and our Butlers, Santiago and Josue were excellent and couldn't do more for us to make our stay pleasant. They made reservations, brought us anything we needed or wanted and assisted us with any issues that turned up. Can't thank them enough for all their help.

TRS Coral: Fantastic resort, relaxing stay
We really enjoyed our honeymoon here, we were very well taken care of. The resort as a whole was stunning and the a-la-carte options were outstanding. We enjoyed every dinner we had. Room service food was ok but thats to be expected. The pools were awesome, we spent most of our times our semiprivate swim out room and the main pool versus the beach, though it was nice as well. We lucked out with the rainy season, it only rained 1 day on our trip, though mosquitos got quite bad on the overcast day[... read more]s. We really enjoyed the spa and we went 3 times in the week. Only negative thing was I got food poisoning at the resort and was sick for a day. One of the highlights was the chic cabaret show that was included in our stay... it was fabulous entertainment, so much fun and great food!
Will recommend to anyone

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Great Family vacation !
This was our first family visit to the Finest Playa Mujeres we had a wonderful time. The food was great we loved the fact that they had different themes every night for dinner. We didn’t get a chance to eat outside much due to the mosquitoes which were pretty bad but the resort did their best to spray every morning and night to avoid them. The beach was clean and amazing, my daughter had a blast at the kids club. The only thing I would change is the time of season we went too many mosquitoes. [... read more]A special thanks to the staff who went out of their way to go all the way to Walmart to purchase my sons formula when we ran out. TRS Coral: TRS Mexico
Upon first appearance the place looked Great!. Modern touches, fresh, clean, neat and tidy. Check in was quick. Room "key" was in the wrist band, which was very handy. Rooms clean, fresh white sheets and bedding. Bathrooms modern and clean. Food, well that was another experience.
The BBQ beside the pool was less than good. Uncooked food- burgers, chicken kabobs. Fresh food out in the open, not cooled at all! This may have been the source of making numerous people, including myself sick for 4 da[... read more]ys. And sick to the point of some going to the hospital for medical attention, some calling in a Dr. to receive antibiotics and many spent several days in bed. I myself have never been this sick in my whole life.
That being said, the breakfast a la cart was good. Some of the restaurants at the 'attached' Paladium were satisfactory.
The staff were friendly, and willing to help.
The mini bar snacks were never replenished.
The mini wine fridge was not cold, thus the wine was not cold or cool.
It was hit or miss to get Ginger Ale.
I will not return. I am just very thankful that I got better, maybe not 100%, but almost there.

TRS Coral: Great for Honeymooners
This will be long so to summarize I will say it’s an amazing resort with fantastic service with good but not great food.
We have stayed at many resorts across Mexico and also in Jamaica( best food ) and this was by far the nicest.
We stayed in the loft suite and had an amazing view of the ocean and of Isla Mujeres. When we checked in we were offered a tour of the resort which is actually just a sales pitch for the travel club, which was kind of annoying, but after that we weren’t appr[... read more]oached.
Our room was in the adults section which has its own pool and four adults only restaurants. The pool had a decent amount of live entertainment including synchronized swimmers and musicians.
The restaurants were mostly satisfactory, the French being the best and the one on the beach being the worst. The Spanish tapas was very confusing but the service was extremely good. The Argentinian had good food but the entree platter we ordered had some meat that tasted like it was spoiled. The rest of the restaurants are on the GP side, which is not adults only. We expected the food to be as amazing as the resort itself, but it missed the mark.
The beach was very nice and the water was crystal clear but be careful because the are some bitey fish in there. One bit my wife and drew blood and they like to swarm you. Wear sandals until you get past the vegetation or you will probably step on a bur, but we never experienced that after getting to the sunbeds. There’s a decent amount of sea weed but the resort cleans it up every morning. The waiters and on the beach were great and you could even access the wifi.
The spa had free hydro-therapy which included hot and cold tubs, steam room and sauna, salt room, “snow†room, a large indoor pool with many types of bubble loungers and water cannon massagers. The spa has other services as well but we didn’t try them because they were expensive and we were turned off from being hassled by the spa staff for massages almost every day.
You have access to the rest of the resort which could easily be walked to or you could take a golf cart shuttle or even take an electric boat through the channel.
Our butlers were Hector and Francine and they were very helpful and friendly. They surprised us with rose petals and filled our jacuzzi for us a few times.
If you are planning on doing excursions, prepare for a long day. The resort is North of Cancun and most excursions are south; this meant that we were always the first ones picked up and the last dropped off. (Travel time was about 2 hours each way).
Overall TRS is a great resort and we would come back!

Occidental Tucancun: Excellent hotel with a relaxing atmosphere
Great hotel with options to be away from the crowd. Lots of little quiet spots for real relaxation. Food is ok, staff generally very nice and friendly. Situitated 60 steps from a mall, great for a stroll when you need a break from the sun.
The beach is really nice, it's pretty empty in mid September. Great for body surfing on waves up to 3 feet. Only down side is weeds, lots of it.

Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort and Spa: Relaxing little gem.
It was a really great experience. But let's start with some of the negative qualities. Some of the hotel is still under renovation. We are a bit of night hawks, we typically slept in till noon, but there was constructions and banging around that time that woke us up a few days in a row. When we were arrived after 9 hours of travel, we were starving. But the staff wanted to show us a quick presentation (1.5hour) about going to see a different hotel that would take around 3 hours to do. We read re[... read more]views about it and decided to not go (best decision). They took about an hour to get our luggage to the room after we got to our room. At this point we had been traveling for 12 hours without any food. And just wanted to eat but had to wait for clothing to change in as the hotel does have a dress code during food services. Aside from that and hawkers wanting us to buy something. We had an amazing time. The hotel is 3.5/5 for cleanliness as it's still bring renovated. Food was 5/5. The staff I would give 10/5 as they were always amazing to us and we're very helpful. They were so friendly and kind. The pools were really nice and relaxing. The adult pool was our favourite area. The hotel is located just steps away from a bus stop, making travel quite easy. Lots of great amenities and things to do. We really enjoyed our time here.

GR Solaris: Excellent Resort
We travel often and found this hotel to be very clean and comfortable. The staff were incredibly attentive and thorough.
The adults only pool is strategically placed so that you truly feel isolated from the party pool and kids area. We enjoyed our 7 nights at this resort and made sure to walk the beautiful white sand beach daily.
The only one downfall of the resort is the food selection at lunch and supper. Most days there seemed to be ample to choose from but on a couple of days I felt th[... read more]e buffet was lacking.
No worries though, there are lots of places to snack and I certainly never went to bed hungry.
The views from the ocean side and the lagoon side were amazing. If you are taking a room on the lagoon side I would suggest you keep your money in your pocket for an upgrade to ocean side. The lagoon side is peaceful as you don’t get the noise from the party pool and entertainment.
All in all, a beautiful resort, great staff and above average kindness and cleanliness throughout.

Secrets The Vine Cancun: Below what we expected....
I can start with the good qualities of the hotel. Their best restaurant is the Asian one where the food was amazing and the second best one is their steakhouse. Good breakfast buffet and Ricardo (one of the servers) was very professional and friendly. That's the only good qualities I can share in this review.
Bad qualities of the hotel:
First of all, I got food poisoned the second last day of our stay through an order from room service, and my girlfriend has been having an upset stomach s[... read more]ince then. After three days, I'm still dealing with diarrhea.
Second, we ordered room service 3 times total and every time it took close to 90 mins or more for them to deliver. 2 times we fell asleep as it took so long. So make sure to eat before 11 PM at one of the restaurants and don't rely on room service food.
Third, we paid extra to be "preferred guests," which we didn't really see any difference from regular guests. It's not worth it to pay an additional amount to be a "preferred guest" here. At the Mediterranean restaurant, they weren't even willing to give us a table by the pool because those tables were for only people who buy a bottle of wine. Seriously? We paid so much extra to be a preferred guest, and you can't even give us a table by the pool?
Forth, one of the swimming pools (The one people usually play volleyball) definitely needs renovation. The steps were sharp, and a couple of areas in the pool had that rough touch.
Lastly, the entertainment team was very inconsistent. We were very interested in sports activities, especially volleyball and one day they were there and one they were not. Other couples were also not happy about this.

Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: Very nice resort
We went for 7 days to Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres. It was non day we can complain. Beautiful, nice design, modern place with plenty of restaurants a la carte, where we never had to book the seats, just "show and go". Food for every diet: meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans, plenty different kind of fresh , prepared in many ways fish, sea food, veggies, fruits. Amazing entertainment well prepared, nice arrangement, costumes, lights, sound. All day open coffee shop with nice tasty pastry and coffe[... read more]e in many ways. All day activities organized by staff ( yoga, pilates, soccer, volleyball ect...) Pools for every one, for kids, for adult only. You can get every were by foot, go-cart, or...boat, because it is long nice canal, where during night is water show.
Problem is in the sports bar, if you want to change channel, even nobody is watching, you not allowed to watched important games if is not on it.
Rooms nice, big, but clean very late even after 4pm.
Very nice polite staff, wiling to help you with every thing...(very good experience with Luis).

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Could have been much better!
Our stay at the Finest Resort could have been much better if they had a better bed mattress. The bed mattress was so soft I had to sleep on the couch through out our entire holiday. I have ostio-arthritis in my back and neck and after my first nights sleep I woke in so much pain, I contacted the concierge immediately to ask for a firmer mattress to be installed but they have nothing on the resort (not one firm or mattress with any form of support on hand) they had the mattress turned around to[... read more] see if the bottom end might be firmer, it was the same-no support at all). Unfortunately for me, I had to sleep on the couch the entire visit which was horrendous for me as I got a bacterial parasite in my stomach from the sandwich which was served on the plane during our flight to the resort which left me cramping in my belly, I had to lay twenty hours a day on the couch from day two until we left on day six! This whole experience would have been much better had they if had a back up firm mattress on the premises as would be expected at a five star resort. We have travelled extensively and stayed at many five star resorts, I have never had a soft bed like this ever at any resort or hotel we have stayed at. I cannot comment on much more as I spent most of my visit in my room layed out flat on the couch eating room service which to me was not as good in comparison to any of the other resorts we have stayed at in the Cancun area. Service from staff was excellent and room cleanliness was very good.

TRS Coral: Luxury!
We loved the luxury, service, and beautiful pools and beach at this resort.
The food was great except room service was unreliable.
Excellent entertainment team.
