Paradisus Punta Cana: Nice resort.

The grounds are beautiful and vast with flowers, trees, lights and music at night. The room are comfortable and big. The cleaning services are a bit inconsistant: no face and hand cloths after the first day, 4 towels one day, 1 the next. Shampoo and soap were replenish only once. The beach is amazing:nice sand,no shell or rock. The pool is nice but not very big compared with other resorts. We weren't Royal so we didn't have access to the other pool. The big disappointment was the restaurant rese [... read more]rvations. Although it was saying unlimited a la carte dinners on the Trip Central website, they were giving us only 4 out of 7. That is something that I always check before choosing the resort. The rest of the time,we were supposed to go to the buffet which was not very good. My husband complained and they gave us another reservation to the Buffet in the Royal part which was better. The a la carte restaurants were mostly good, depending on what you order. There is no sport bar with pool tables which we really like to spend time usually. The ping pong tables are outside and damaged. There are bicycles everywhere which is nice and shuttle trains to go around the resort. 30 minutes from the airport with direct transfer. No snorkeling (no reefs) in front of the resort.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great stay!

Very clean, amazing beach, beautiful grounds, friendly staff. Weather was perfect only rained twice but at night. Justino at the colonial club lounge was terrific. Nicole at front desk was very attentive and followed up. Henry our butler was very helpful. Go see santo Domingo it's awesome

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: We were the party

Wouldn't necessarily recommend for spring breakers but still had an amazing time. Buffet was okay but restaurants were great, staff is amazing and beautiful resort in general! I wish I had done more excursions, the beach was nice but you get heckled a lot

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Immaculate resort, friendly staff

Beautiful unique resort with nice separate beach and pool areas. Great views and entertainment staff were nice. Very quiet in spots for private relaxing. Food was outstanding especially on gala night and maids putting rose petals on the bed was a nice touch

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: My little piece of heaven

I have vacationed in Punta Cana 11 times, but I found my little piece of heaven at the Ambar resort where I stayed in 2013, 2014 and 2016. The Ambar was my husband's favorite resort because of the lush tropical landscaping, the pristine rooms, the beautiful beach and the wonderful staff. It only made sense that my first solo trip following the death of my husband on August 1, 2015 would be to the Ambar where I feel safe and comfortable. It felt like I had come "home". The grounds were impeccabl [... read more]y maintained with lush foliage. The walkways were well-lit and cleaned everyday. I always felt safe, even when walking in the dark at night. My room was large and inviting and I enjoyed the whirlpool bathtub during my stay. I appreciated the little box of chocolates left on the bed every night. Most of all, I was happy to see my Dominican "family". My plan had been to spend a very quiet week (May 6-13, 2016) reading and doing yoga, pilates, tai chi and water aerobics. (Many thanks to José who taught these classes in 2013, 2014 and 2016.) Well, so much for my plans.... The entertainment in the Ambar lobby was extremely good. While I was certain that I would never dance again, three new friends that I met in Punta Cana (Donna R, Donna M and Vincente) as well as a member of the animation team (Carlos) got me onto the dance floor where I learned to move and smile again. Given the abundance of excellent food and premium drinks on the resort, it was a good thing that the music called to me and helped me burn off a few calories!! I cannot thank the management team enough for ensuring that I had a room at Ambar 1 where I had stayed with my husband in 2013 and 2014 and where I was familiar with the layout and the staff. I owe a debt of gratitude to the musicians, animation team and to my new friends who helped me stand on my feet again and to see joy in living and dancing. I am looking forward to returning to the Ambar in 2017..... Did I mention that I love this resort?!!!! Cathy

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Average resort

Service is awful, my TV did not work properly for ~4 days, a phone did not work at all for almost 29 hours. I asked more that 8 times practically everybody at the reception to fix it. Nothing was done. It looks like nobody is interested at helping us, customers. We already paid for the vacation and that's it. Food was below average. Tables, dishes, forks, spoons were often dirty...

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Nearly Perfect

Very happy food wise, amenities, exquisite property. 3 cons: never any beach towels available, lots of empty cups on the side of the pool and encountered a lot of grumpy staff members. Overall though, really happy and would definitely return! Love the Bahia chain!

Occidental Punta Cana: Great vacation! Beautiful beach!! Need of update.

I stayed here with my best friend May 9-16, 2016. Great place!! Needs some renovating.. but they just started so it would be worth checking out once they are complete! Rooms not ready until after 3pm so have to wait around if you get there earlier. Rooms not in great shape and in need of some serious TLC and updated technology/machines, but how long do you spend in your room anyways?! Italian restaurant best of our trip. Mexican restaurant was horrible. Beach is beautiful!!! Pools are very nice too! Spent most of our time at pool and beach. We didn't do any excursions or nightlife activities as we were usually up pretty early but there are tons of nightlife and excursion options though. Great relaxing and fun vacation. Overall, would return here only after all renovations are completed. After update this place would be even more amazing!!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing Adult/Family Resort

Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda Resort is great. As part of the bahia compund there are about 5 resorts ( 2 luxury and 3 grand) plus 1 more that is under construction. Having access to all resorts is amazing. They have activities for adults and children all day. While we were they rumors is that they will be converting the Esmeralda to an exclusive all adults resort by Nov 2016. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Wonderful resort

We had a return trip to the colonial and we enjoyed every minute! Everything is very nice and clean! We go there for the fAbulous beach! We have travelled to many places and Bavaro beach is our fAvorite! The pools are also wonderful and there are plenty of chairs and never seems crowded! We have stayed colonial club a few times and experienced the swim up room! That is perfect but less private! This time we stayed on the 4 the floor which was great and the room had high ceilings! There is plenty of choices for meals and snacks so no one should be going hungry! The staff are amazing and very friendly!

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Great resort but room for improvement

The resort grounds is by far the best thing about this resort. The food and service is the main source of my feedback. Service is great if you can speak Spanish. If not, it can be a little hard getting what you need. Food is just ok.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Would Return!!

The resort was well maintained, clean, friendly, hard working staff. Food was overall an 8 out of 10. The beach was beautiful to walk along even with all the crowds. Very busy resort! I could complain about a couple of small items, but they didn't ruin my vacation in any way. My friend and I met a great group of people on the catamaran excursion to Saoma Island and believe we have made some life long friends.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful well kept grounds and beach

Lovely resort, very good food, friendly service. The beach was white sand and clear bottom. Only caution-confirm your beds per room preferences in advance to avoid checkin delays. Watch your luggage gets all bus connections-it's a popular and busy place!

Grand Bavaro Princess: Nice resort

Very well kept and clean resort throughout the grounds. and the staff is extremely friendly. If we we needed something fixed example in the room very quick and efficient to resolve issue. A few things that would make the resort more enjoyable is to let the customers know that they should make reservations for the A la carte restaurants especially the Japanese one. It took too long to finally get seated and have something to eat. The food at the Asian restaurant wasn't very good, the soup was ver [... read more]y salty. Tge rest if the restaurants were ok but not slot of different variety throughout the week. The buffet was good, especially the breakfast and the variety of food, especially the fruit selection, excellent coffee. The servers were awesome, smiling and very attentive. As far as the room. It was big enough but the water pressure was low and the biggest problem was the lighting in the room. Too dark and hard to see at night. Was scared to trip on the stairs going up to the bedroom. Everyone I spoke to complained about the same thing. Also, would have been nice to be able to swivel the TV around from the bedroom to the sitting area so you could watch TV in the sitting area. Would have been nice to have a seperate night club in the hotel to go dancing after the nightly shows are over instead of turning the area where you watch the shows into a dance area. Over all it was a nice hotel but it could have been awesome if some of the above could be improved. Whatever you do, do not change your staff. They are all amazing people!!! :) I would recommend this hotel but would advice whomever is going there to be aware of the issues that need to be improved as this may change your mind staying there.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Quiet loud fun excellant

Stayed there for 5 weeks relaxing they make you feel like your home. Got to know many people working there nicest people around. When you meet them the first time they ask you how is the family back home if they aré good you will have a great vacation.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Awesome

I have been going to this resort since 2000. I love the fact that it's an adults only resort, rooms have been redone and they are beautiful. Beds are very comfortable, entertainment at night time is very good. People and staff are very friendly, food was not that good this time and also we didn't have a mini fridge that worked the whole time we where there,, but I would go back there and also would recommend this resort to anybody that asked.we stayed in room 2103 , nice and close to everything  [... read more]but of course you hear the shows at night as you are close to the stage area.also this resort is only about 15 mins from the airport.

Secrets Royal Beach: Amazing Resort!!

Everything was amazing with this resort!! Beach was beautiful, food was really good and the service was outstanding!! I would go back to this resort in a heart beat. It wasn't that far from the airport either.

I can't really say one bad thing about the resort, rooms were beautiful always cleaned every day the grounds were well kept food was good people were friendly overall great experience the beach was amazing I could have done without the people bugging to buy stuff and excerssions on beach but I know that's how they make s living

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Fabulous Resort

This hotel is beautiful! The staff worked around the clock. Always polite and smiling! The bathrooms were always very clean as well. The rooms were large, food was amazing, lots and lots of variety. Beach was gorgeous! Trolleys were going all day and night. You never had to wait! Lots to do at this resort. And the SPA was spectacular! My only recommendation of change would be the a la carte restaurants. I'd like my entire meal be served to me rather than the appetizer buffet. It would have been  [... read more]a nice change.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Exceptional resort

The staff are top notch! Friendly and courteous. The food is over the top phenomenal and the cleanliness is amazing. At 9:30 pm there are still staff cleaning and mopping. The weather was not always great but the staff had games and little culinary classes for all ages. Highly recommend.
