Great restaurants,Excellent food very nice resort for family with kids under age of 9 or 10 beautiful beach but short and rocky, good services very friendly staff, kids club was so useful and helpful

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Overall great vacation!

We visited this resort at the end of April for 1 week with our two sons age 9 and 12, the resort was sold out for the week. Great hotel for couples or family. All rooms face the ocean and all have jet tub on the deck/terrace. It has 24 hour room service and all restaurants have a no reservation policy. I usually like the no reservation rule, but here the wait was really long. I felt they almost forced you to go to the buffet at night, there is 3 a la carte restaurant, the Japanese and Mexican only had 40 seats each..... Activities or entertainment where almost non existent. The entertainment staff where dull and not very engaging.... Overall great resort and we had fun, but for the price I think we could of done better.....

Occidental Cozumel: Things to consider

We went to this hotel at the beginning of May. We liked the setting in the "jungle", spacious rooms, and friendly staff. But there are some disappointing things: the see was terrible!!! Dirty grey water! We could not swim there and had to rent a car for the whole stay to go to other beaches, where the water was absolutely clean. We were told that it depends on the direction of the wind and the water is clean during other months... May be, but we were frustrated. Another thing is the restaurants. [... read more].. The food is tasty, but there is no variety, not much choice. Sometimes we had to wait until they bring something as the trays were empty. And no air- conditioning!!! You feel like in the sauna!

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Great value, lots of fun.

Grounds are beautiful. Pool is well kept. Lots of seating by the pool and by the beach. Lots of birds and wildlife.. Great food and service. We had a great time. Highly recommend iberostar to anybody.

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Amazing resort!

The Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya is one of the best resort we have stayed at! We went there with a group of 50 people (for our wedding) and everyone (execpt 2) thought it was amazing as well. And we made sure to use plenty of the resort credits (spa, excursion, etc) !! A big thank you to the staff at HardRock and to our travel agent Kevin Dupuis!

Occidental Tucancun: Very Nice Resort

The grounds and public areas were always very clean. The staff at all the restaurants were amazing, always polite and helpful. We had a young girl at one of the pools serving drinks, she was so wonderful, very good with all the guests and had a great sense of humor. The only part of our time at your resort that I hated was when we went to this boardroom the day after we arrived, they offer all these free gifts and they tried to sell us time at your resort, I don't like these sales tactic [... read more]s. Also in the middle of the night the ceiling outside our room collapsed in hallway. I realize things get weak and rusty with all the humidity they have in Cancun.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: It was a great vacation

Very nice hotel, we enjoyed everything in it : service, meals, organization, beach, activities. Staff was very helpfull and friendly , we had some questions and everithing was resolved with patience. In general organization was very good - from meeting us in airoport till bringing back to airoport. Beautiful place, would recommend it. Very nice park and show at Xcaret , ~20-30 min from hotel

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Beyond perefect

Everything was superb: the cleanliness of the hotel, amazing food, beautiful beach and great staff! The only negative was the presence of seaweed a few days in the water but no one to blame but Mother Nature !

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Barcelo beach resort

The rooms were a outdated for a 5* resort, my wi-fi that I paid to have was not working and wouldn't let me on. The front desk tried to tell us their was more than one device using it, that's why and would not do anything about it. I know their wasn't more than one, cause my husband also paid for his wi-fi and his worked. I didn't' find a lot of staff friendly, it's like they have to be there, but don't want to be. Just overall bad experience with staying at a Barcelo.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: loved it

Clean, quiet, #1 place to visit. The beach is not very good but all the hotel pools and spas make up for it. The staff made us feel at home. Please be careful of the very slippery floor on the outside swim up area.

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Rocking on the Riviera Maya!

The hotel was excellent. The grounds, the facilities, the service, the rooms and the food. We were there to attend a relative's wedding and the service and function for the wedding were really well done and added to the experience. The after party at the Hard Rock 'Heaven" club was quite something too. In addition, the excursions we took were good fun and varied as well - ruins and culture, cave and swimming in underground rivers as well as zip lining and swimming with dolphins made for a fu [... read more]ll week. My favourite restaurant was Brazilian themed with some of the most delicious meat I have had the pleasure of consuming, yet with plenty for the vegetarians in our group as well. All in all, a really good experience and a good time. The one issue was that at the time of year that we visited it is quite windy, which limited access to the ocean although the lagoon/sea wall at the hotel ensured that access to salt water swimming remains despite the sea conditions.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Occidental review

Found this place to be very nice and all personnel extremely polite except for the Air Transat rep at Hospitality desk who worked May 1 from 4 to 6 pm. This does not reflect on the resort but on Air Transat only.The food was ok in buffet area but the Italian restaurant Was over the top. Service was excellent and food supper good. The chef took the time to actually come out and greet me us and paid close attention to our allergies issues. Highly recommend this place to anyone especially the Itali [... read more]an restaurant.

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Best ever resort

The hotel was beautiful love the food, the night life, pool, rooms. Loved it all and would go back in a heartbeat. The service was excellent and the a la carte restaurant were great and we didn't need reservations. There system was well organizated for food service

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Awesome resort

The service was excellent, food was served anywhere lobby, beach, even room service available 24/7. The beach was ok but not as beautiful as other resorts I have been at. The room were beautiful and cleaned 3 times a day All excellent I would go back again

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Relaxing trip

I spent the week of April 27th to May 4th 2017 at the Ocean Coral and Turquesa.Had a great trip ,food was really good,service was awesome drinks were amazing! Thank you Marco! Met the sweetest beach boy who was a hard worker and super friendly by the name of David...Great job David!! Although I was a bit disappointed with the beach and all the seaweed,I had been to the same area two years ago and it was quite a bit worse now this year.They are continuously trying to keep it clear but it's like  [... read more]a hopeless case. The resort was very lovely,spacious and clean,I never had a problem with finding a spot to sit and relax! I would certainly recommend this resort to friends as long as they don't mind the beach in the shape it was in ,keeping in mind the 4 pools were lovely !!

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: The very definition of Hard Rock!!

This hotel was amazing, great service, very friendly people and some great activities. Although I would of liked a few more beach activities, I think that the pool side activities and party rock atmosphere was great. The food was also amazing, as well as the room service. Would go again in a heart beat.

Emplacement vraiment agréable, tous as été vraiment formidable, je le recommende vivement. Rien a redire!! Je vais y retourner et le recommender a tous mes amis, manger extraordinaire puis il ne manque rien de rien!

The hotel was beautiful and kept clean and spotless. The grounds were well manicured with lovely flowers and shrubs. All of the restaurants we went to had a good selection of items to choose from and had something for everyone. The housekeeping staff were amazing and kept our room spotless. There were a lot of great pools throughout the resort near all the different villas if you didn't want to go to the beach area which was always loud and busy. They did have some entertainment in the eveni [... read more]ngs but it was not as good as what I have experienced at other resorts so that was disappointing and made the evenings long. That would be my only complaint about this resort.

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Beautiful resort !!

Loved it !!!! Everything was absolutely amazing. beautiful rooms , pools are great, the food is very good , always plenty of chairs available by the pool or the beach! We would love to go back!!!!
