Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great Starter Resort!

It was my Husband and I's very first Vacation and we were quite happy with the Resort. The staff was friendly and the grounds were well kept. The entertainment and food at the Restaurants were alright, nothing spectacular. My only real complaint was the smell of septic that constantly lingered. Other than that we had a great time and loved the beach and sunshine!

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Wonderful Staff! They make you feel welcomed

We arrived around noon on Thurs Apr 21..check on took a long time but they were very nice. We didn't want a noisy room so he took his time to ensure he found us a quiet room which we really appreciated. Our maid Nelly was fantastic! Every day she left wash clothes folded like teddy bear or a duck or some animal for our kids. At the pool bar was the most magical. We would return for this reason most. They treated us so well all week and made special drinks even for the kids. They anticipated our every need smiling and attentive. Always so energetic and friendly all the pool bar and buffet staff are a pleasure. In the buffet area, Isreal and Rubical are the most amazing servers and worked hard with a smile every day. They remembered us from last visit and greeted our family every day like their welcomed family members. The pool was always clean, the beach while beautful was red flag for most of the week undertow and big waves .not good for young kids. The shows were ok and the rooms were nice.. Beds hard though. The only real problem I had was the food. Sometimes at the buffet for supper time we couldn't find much that was tasty. Most foods didn't taste quite right and even tasted odd. The meats were dry or often bland. The Ice cream was awesome though! I was sick with an upset stomach all week and not sure if I ate an undercooked burger at the pool area or if it was something else. The pool food often the temperature wasn't regulated and lids were left open with food exposed in the hot sun . I had been to the Riu in Mexico back in Oct and had no problem with food or tummy issues what so ever there...only here. Also sometimes it was difficult to get the guy stocking our room mini fridge to come with water each day. I left a note asking for more water please but he only came after I called down to the front desk and several hours later . 2 water bottles only allowed per room they said over the phone. Yet there were 4 of us in the room . You can go downstairs and get water at the buffet ..just bring your own container. The resort has free Wii fii throughout which is great. Overall ..because of the outstanding pool bar staff we love this resort..but I wish the food were better. The kids loved the watersides the beach and the guy dressed up like Pokemon walking around. The lifeguard at the beach was very good at watching everyone he was fantastic. The bell boys were great, so was the professional photography we had done at the resort .our Kids loved what they've done with Jetix with the ping pong tables, video games and movie theater..awesome! There were vendors in the lobby several nights if you wanted souvenirs.. just steer clear of the pushy time share people..I wish they would stop time share people right in the lobby you have to walk by them every day to get to the main pool area There were 2 out of 3 elevators broken most of the week.. it was difficult to get to our room so we walked 5 flights in a hot stairwell a lot ..and 2x the elevator stopped in between floors while people on it..1 time people had to jump down to safety.. many were scared.. We met the manager the last night when there was a problem on our bill being double charged for room service when we had paid cash..but he quickly credited us the difference and fixed this once we spoke to him and not just the front desk staff. The manager was great. Overall, we were happy here. We have been here 6 times because we feel welcomed here, safe and love that the staff remember us and treat us so well. Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Fabulous experience

This resort is immaculately maintained with beautiful decor and grounds. The staff are universally friendly and efficient. The food is excellent, with plenty of choices of venues. The breakfast buffet alone is worth spending time here. There always enough lounge chairs by the pools. It's hard to find a negative, except maybe the really loud entertainment - you can't get far enough away to enjoy the show without being deafened.

Riu Flamingos: Great Resort

We had a wonderful vacation in mexico. The resort wad amazing and very family friendly. Only disappointment was the fountain did not work. My wife wanted pictures with it. The beach was not all that great,however it had great sunset. The kids had lots of fun in the pools. Our room was always clean and the staff was very helpfull. We would come back to this resort again. Overall 4 stars from us.thanks tripcentral.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Average at best

This was not our first time to the Royal Decameron and if you want average food and drinks this is the place to be. We sent a room request weeks prior to our arrival - not honoured. In order to change rooms you need to be without a room for over 4 hours! They now provide shampoo and conditioner in your room which is new. The employees are always hard at work. The buffet needs to have more variety, the theme nights start to blend together after 2 weeks. Barcelo Maya Palace: Great Value for the Family

Desserts start to get repetitive after 7 days, same with shows. Kids loved the Barcy club, and water park with waterslides, crafts, facepainting, movies, games and all sorts of activities- available 9-9!!, and even take kids to dinner or lunch. No hot Jacuzzi on site, just cold built into the pool. Really only 3 bars. 2 Buffets, but mostly only 1 open at one time ( or staggered only for a short time) Waiter service in the restaurants and buffet, outstanding Buffets have 4* quality, Resta [... read more]urants are 5* quality, selection Walking to other resorts was fun, more water parks and pools and bars to enjoy. Short walk to Dolphinarium, Spa Spa$$ was well worth it- gorgeous hydrotherapy pools, and massage was great Rooms were nice, some tile work is grouted terribly, but well cleaned and supplied amenties were nice. AC in rooms, restaurants and some community areas good. Snacks at the Lobby bar nice. Beach was nice, able to swim with fishes and sea turtles within 50 ft of shore. Lots of lounge chairs around pool and beach, hammocks too, always a place to lay down. Gardens around grounds were nice, but needed more shrubs and plants planted around the grounds. Sister resorts have lots of gorgeous plant beds in addition to the gorgeous palm trees. Cleanliness of the resort was OK, but not spotless. Private photos on the resort are way overprices. Really 1 picture with a bird around the pool for the kid is $15 - 1 picture, and a family/couple/single sitting fee with pictures is 20/picture. Bus the mall, mini golf was great, quick. Bowling Alley area was kind of moldy smelling. Room was a King Bed, with 2 Day beds, which could sleep adults, but kids took them. They needed new mattresses, but Kind was great. Bedding; crisp and white. Flight and transportation were good!

Tropicana Hotel: Perfect location

I love this hotel!! It's location is perfect you can see the pier, lots of activity great restaurants around,hotel food is ok but nice to have options. People are so awesome friendly helpful. Hotel is clean, right on the best beach. Great price save your $$ don't do inclusive higher priced hotels, you feel you got to stay in the resort. This hotel has only 1 drawback the beds are very hard( really hard lol)

Riu Flamingos: Peurto Vallarta gem resort!

We stayed a week in April 2017 and had an awesome time! Our whole family travelled there with 2 teenagers and my husband and I. there was lots to do for all of us. Beach is very wavy- which we liked. we enjoyed jumping the big waves but for younger or weak swimmers- it might not be the best. Food was excellent and lots of variety. I loved that there was a lot of fresh fruit and veggies. Room was good with a balcony. But no tub- not an issue for us. I would go back again. See you next year!

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Stunning resort

If only for the vibrant colors, this resort would earn the label "stunning." But it deserves this label for many more reasons: the helpful staff, the numerous pools, the fabulous restaurants, and the gorgeous setting on a two km beach. The resort is crowded by other buildings on every side, yet it maintains its character. The five buildings are attractive and the rooms are very clean. This place is incredibly popular. It seems if half of Mexico was holidaying there. Tents were set up right up to the water line, except right in front of the resort which maintains a little privacy that way, so that people could enjoy some protection from the sun and even sleep there. Not a room was available anywhere in Guayabitos during those few days that we were there. The rooms for the most part are small but adequate. Those in Building 4, where we were, are large and less noisy, although one night a band played across the street until midnight. We were there with another couple. The hotel was unable to give us rooms that were side-by-side but were still near each other. The food was excellent and plentiful, even if it was not haute cuisine. All of us enjoyed ourselves immensely. The service was great, with special credit to "Alex" who went over board in her helping us.

Riu Caribe Cancun: Riu Caribe

This resort is up to the standards of all the other Riu resorts in areas of service accommodation, etc but fell short of our requirements. If you are fair skinned or dealing with someone in a wheelchair it would be best not to go to this resort. There is very little coverage available at the pool and makes it necessary to either book your place at 5am or shuffle your chairs to "chase the shade". More importantly, the resort is in several levels both inside and out of the main building. Ther [... read more]e are ramps which are sufficient for strollers but they are WAY TOO STEEP for wheelchairs. Especially if the adult in the chair is heavier than the helper. Particularly dangerous is the ramp leading to the main dining room and the bottom of this ramp is only a couple of feet from the plate glass wall of the restaurant. One slip could be disastrous. The staff are wonderful and will help whenever they are there but you can't get to the pool without using ramps and they are not always handy when outside. One other thing I didn't like was the square glass dinette table with 2 wooden slat-back chairs in the room instead of comfortable chairs. This was really a problem when we wanted to relax in the room. Needless to say if you don't have any problems in these areas you will enjoy the resort. It has many thing going for it and if you've already been to a Riu resort you will not be disappointed.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: we shall return!!!

Overall it was a wonderful experience for both of us. First visit and definitely not our last Entire Barceló Resort was absolutely beautiful, spotless grounds "manicured". Restaurant staff were friendly but obvious language issues made conversation challenging but that wasn't unexpected. Always greeted pleasantly by a hostess for dinner Staff at front desk and other guest services were very helpful. Nighttime shows were okay but not that exciting. Our room was suppose to be "oceanview" It w [... read more]as at groundlevel but obscuring our view was the childrens pool area and water apparatus. Our room was very spacious and more than comfortable.

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Wow!

We're forever spoiled. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special (thank you, Sergio at the front desk). From Eduardo and Carlos who served us tirelessly on the beach to Luis at The Grill whose menu suggestions led to a few of the best meals we've ever had, this resort pulls out all the stops. Nightly entertainment was top notch. Riu Emerald Bay: Beautiful spot!

The location of this resort was awesome! Right on the beautiful beach! There is shops and restaurants a short walk from the resort, and we felt safe leaving the resort without being on a designated tour. The waves are okay for surfing if that's what you like, and good for just playing in the water as well. The resort had a huge variety of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but did not have any "sit down" restaurants. They are all buffet. Overall, a great resort!

Barcelo Huatulco: All good!

Returned Tuesday April 25th from a relaxing sun filled week in Huatulco Mexico at the Barcelo Huatulco. Wonderful service, extremely clean resort and very helpful staff in all aspects. Great food at all restaurants though the Mexican restaurant was more authentic Mexican food than we expected, the Spanish and Italian restaurants were very good, both evenings we visited. We had an upper level premium room that provided wonderful Ocean views. Barcelo Huatulco: Very nice resort!!

Enjoyed the week tremendously. Staff, food, services, entertainment, hotel facilities all are top notch. Area needs improvement is check-in. Not enough personnel to handle a large group of guests. Internet access should be available in all buildings not just in the lobby.

Viva Maya by Wyndham: Average resort

The resort was a little older and dated but clean and well maintained The rooms were bare bones,no alarm clock,coffee maker and having to pay for the safe was a little annoying. The food in the alacart restaurants was good but lackluster in the buffet The staff and service was excellent. Lots of beach chairs was nice. The shows at night were good. Overall the resort was good but more of a 3 star by mexican standards

Hard Rock Hotel Cancun: Hard Rock Riviera Maya Resort - true 5 stars

This is a beautiful and clean beach resort. Staffs are friendly and cheerful. There are so many restaurants and pools to choose from. Food is always fresh and delicious. Luckily our room was close to the beach and we really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely visit again in the near future.

Riu Emerald Bay: Nice hotel

Great hotel..enjoyed our stay.changes Ned to be made in the Elevator an they have to stop locals from vacationing whilet Canadians are on vac...not nice when they started comming in...even the food changed

Secrets Huatulco: The Next Level

First time ever staying at a Adults only, no wristband, no reservation, unlimited a la carte resort. It was quite something and we were not disappointed. Ditto to all the good previous reviewer comments. Everything was great and the front desk asked what they could do to improve the experience and I was at a loss for words. I couldn't think of anything to improve or at worst complain about. We ate at every restaurant and wandered over the whole resort. For sure December and/or April!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very Clean resort!

Nothing negative ro say about the resort. Very clean, food was good, little cart came around often to give us rides around the resort. The only thing I didn't really like was the fact that it was soooo big we got lost a few times!!
