Gran Muthu Imperial: Fantastic Resort
Not only was the hotel wonderful but the staff goes above and beyond to ensure you have an amazing time. Easy access to beaches and markets along with nice food and drinks. Definitely returning again!
Tryp Cayo Coco: A great place to stay!
The rooms are a little dated but air works great very clean the grounds were kept very clean gardens were beautiful a la carts were fabulous staff was awesome all of them from the front desk to the gardeners waitresses and waiters bartenders maids entertainers all were friendly and helpful !
Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Resort is pretty
Grounds, and beach was gorgeous. Unfortunately food and restaurants were unorganized and, under staffed certainly affected by many things covid etc. It made for long lines and food shortage. We literally had no bread or certain meats depending on the day.
Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: BEWARE!!!
My 4 time at this resort. NEVER AGAIN. It is run down, it is dirty it is disgusting filthy, bugs in our beds, cockroaches EVERYWHERE. no water in our rooms, toilets did not work, tv did not work, cockroaches walking all over the food in dining area. No food!!! No drinks. My kids went home traumatized from All the bugs in the beds and our room, our bed sheets had brown/bloody stains which were not changed in 7 days even after we requested and begged them to change them. Snack bar had no food [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Post COVID Review
My husband and I visited end of Feb 2023. We had a lovely visit and value for money, this is a great resort, despite some of the limitations already spoken about re: variety of food (before COVID food was plentiful and lots of variety) and variety of liquor (there was no gin or vodka so we drank scotch and soda). Airport arrival was smooth and organized. Air Transat had no delays (as opposed to the SunWing horror stories). Check in was smooth (as per usual). Beach and pool were beautiful (as pe [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful Resort
We stayed here for a week the beginning of March with a group of 10 people and we all had a Fabulous time. The entire staff are really amazing from the awesome entertainment staff to the awesome pool bar staff and restaurant staff. The resort is very clean and the rooms are nice some rooms/buildings along with other areas of the resort are being upgraded but this all takes time. For only being open for a short time since Covid I was very impressed how well this resort is being ran and looked. [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Affordable, friendly, and fun
Had a great time here, the staff was amazing, the resort was clean beaches were amazing. The entertainment was great and fun to participate in. We took our two children, and there was always P plenty for them to do. Excellent snorkelling. Recommend taking your own gear. The food was ok. Typical for Cuba. Always lots of options.
Hotel Playa Paraiso: Clean resort
Positives first. Very clean, beautiful beach, great drinks, nice relaxed atmosphere and perfect size for relaxation. Second time to Cuba, first after COVID. As usual the food was not great, sometimes not even good. Not many choices for snacking between meals. Potatoes were scarce and vegetables were always the same. Too much sauce on items. A la Cartes were not great. Had an issue with our room but it was fixed quickly. The whole no flushing toilet paper was gross during the day when the [... read more]
Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: So much potential
We stayed at the iberostar selection Esmeralda from Feb. 24- Mar. 3 After a long wait checkin was seamless . Our room was beautiful , clean , nice layout and a beautiful balcony . It’s a lovely resort , small and easy to get around . Staff were very friendly , everyone you past said “Ola†with a smile . The difficulties lies within communication . Huge language barrier with all staff, we learned this throughout the week . . The buffet was okay , nothing fancy , basically the same thing e [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Wonderful Resort
Melia Cayo Coco…beautiful and very walkable beach, friendly and accommodating staff, everything very clean, good food. There were some shortages…vodka and fruit juices but nothing that impacted our holiday, We are planning a return next year!
Gran Muthu Imperial: Where's the bread?
The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. But there were a few issues. Firstly, you have to practically beg to get a change of sheets and towels. I had to complain to customer service in order to get the sheets changed. There was no bread in the buffet the entire time we were at the hotel. There was bread served in the Snack Bar and the a la carte restaurants. They ran out of beer. Firstly the pump broke at the kiosk by the beach, no beer. Then they ran out of beer at [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Melia Cayo Coco
The Hotel has older buildings but they are in good condition and kept quite clean. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. There was good entertainment every night in both the Lobby and Theater. The Food in the Buffet was the best that we have experienced in Cuba, on par with some resorts in other countries. The specialty restaurants were acceptable.
Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Fantastic Holiday
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Iberostar Esmeralda Cayo Coco. The layout of the resort makes it easy to get around without too much walking, and still enjoy all the amenities. The pools, bars, restaurants and entertainment areas are all fairly close, and easy to get to.
Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Highest is as 3 star resort in terms of service
No even bread, no eggs, no fish or meat except the lines for it. no napkins, staff is rude. Nobody cares about anybody or anything. All eating facility cannot hold the capacity. Lines are everywhere. You can book only 1 restaurants after you spent 1 hour in line. No coffee or tea sometimes. They even don’t change the towels. I waste my vacation over there as others.sand is full of sharp stones, etc… they’re a lot of Down sides. I can recommend it as weight loss program and anger managemen [... read more]
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Memories Flamenco Cayo Coco
Though the resort looks beautiful and the beach was awesome, our room, 8304 smelt like the swamp which is right behind the building. To makes matter worse, despite the thermacell device we used and Off spray to repell mosquitoes, My husband and I are covered with mosquito bites that I am still dealing with 3 days post vacation. And I have pictures to prove. Not to forget, they were always running out of alcohol at the bar and eggs for breakfast.
Tryp Cayo Coco: Relaxed and simple
Tryp resort gives you what you need with excellent staff service and tried and true facilities. Customer service was excellent, al of the staff are courteous and friendly and make your stay easy and comfortable. Restaurants serve amazing foods and you can never be bored with the variety.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Making a comeback
This resort was closed during covid and is in need of some Tlc. We could see maintenance staff and gardeners working diligently to spruce up the hotel by painting and repairing and trimming the gardens. It was looking better every day. The food was good, beach was beautiful with great waiter service on the beach. The pizza snack bar was good. The coffee shop wonderful in the morning for a cappuccino. My only two concerns were the broken coral at the beach ( definitely bring water shoes) du [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Nice, small resort
Very, nice small resort. Beautiful walking beach, stunning views. Lots of loungers around pool and beach. We did not use the pool, but it looked lovely. Food was very good . We only ate at the buffet and were very impressed with the variety and presentation. There were some shortages of liquor, but this was not a big problem for us. All in all we had a good time and would return.
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Disappointed
This resort was recommended by friends who stayed there last year. Maybe it was good at that time. This time all the service was upon request-clean the room, change towels...we understand going green but the sheets had not so pleasant stains, towels not fresh and always damp, almost wet. There was only one "Please clean the room" tag in the building. Needed to chase the cleaner and let her know what we need and when, or they would show up after 4:30. Food-running out of ice, running out of bread [... read more]
