Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort

I liked the resort overall but i found that if you didn’t reserve lawn chairs early in the morning then It was hard to find lawn chairs around the pool and at the beach, people would reserve their chairs early in the morning and unless you are an early riser then forget about finding a chair. The rooms were very spacious and nice decor the only thing I didn’t like about the room was the shower had no doors, it had a half glass wall and rest was open, not very thought out when they were desi [... read more]gning it, no privacy. The food was excellent lots of options. Entertainment was ok but i would of liked it if there was more shows. Overall very nice resort very clean grounds were beautiful.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great vacation

The hotel was as described (a 4+ star). The rooms were clean and well maintained. The grounds were beautiful. The staff was friendly. We wandered around the resort quite a bit (it's a big place) and noticed that certain areas and floors were being renovated and you can tell they are constantly fixing and updating things.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Pleasant stay

We were satisfied with the pools but disappointed with the hotel. It was s bit run down and in need of some upgrades. The staff were wonderful. A special shout out to our maid Carmen. She was wonderful and attentive. She made our stay more enjoyable.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful Resort

This hotel is one of the best I've been to. The room was clean and grounds kept immaculate. When it came to dining there was lots to choose from and the restaurants were excellent. Travelled with my daughter's family with two young children and there was a great assortment of food for them to eat. Their Kids Club is great...the ladies running it are patient and great with the children. Every night they performed plays with the children in their care for that day in the theatre. ( Moana, Froz [... read more]en etc.) Entertainment at the pool each day was also very good! The only draw back is the long bus drive to the resort. I would definitely go back.

I've been there twice before, I booked the junior suite, which I am familiar with, on arrival they claimed to have upgraded us for free, no it was not an upgrade, it was a downgrade, so honestly I was ripped off

We found the hotel to be very clean, the grounds were kept very well. You can tell that they are working to improve and update their facilities. Our room was always clean and tidy and we had facecloths and towels. I requested 2 extra towels and received them daily during our stay. The minibar was always restocked. The buffet was good, always lots of choices. I noticed that there were managers in the buffet area that kept an eye on utensils, to ensure that things were kept clean. Staff were fri [... read more]endly. We like cream in our coffee but there was no cream available at all at this resort, which was disappointing. The beach areas were kept well, the west beach was our favorite but care must taken to walk in where it is not so rocky. Beach bars were well stocked and there was jerk chicken and pork and extras available at the west beach during lunch time, if you didn't want to leave the beach to go to the restaurant.

The hotel was really nice. The grounds well kept with staff continuously cleaning. The food was wonderful. The entertainment was really good. I enjoyed the spa for a massage and I attended the yoga classes every morning, the instructor was amazing

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Awesome resort

Everything was clean helpful cheerful people. Only complaints- Coffee maker in the room didn’t work snd even after asking several times about it, we weren’t a new maker Our rental wheel chair for my husband was taken from the front lobby. When we inquired about another because he has mobility issues, we were told we would be charged $85. Tv never worked either. Great amenities, staff, food and activities!!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Nice resort

Well kept resort, clean and tidy. Would like to mention Annabelle a hostess at the buffet, very friendly with a smile all the time. She made us feel welcome like we were at home. Only negative point the cost of golf had jumped over 100% since we were last there, the only change to course was the aprons and greens are better. I guess somebody has to pay for the new additions to the club house

My stay at the Grand was a nice relaxing experience. They have entertainment daily for the whole family. Tiffany and her entertainment crew was rememberable. Many of the servers were friendly. Some acted odd due the expectation of tips. Race may have played a role in service as we are black and Jamaican decent, but I chose not to allow those interactions to skew my viewpoint on my experience. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Best vacay so far!

This resort is always being maintained and cleaned. Very large pools and plenty of chairs. Beach is small but private and protected from the ocean. I snorkeled a few times during my stay in shallow calm waters and was amazed at what I saw. The buffet had lots of great choices and we absolutely loved the jerk. All the staff are friendly and helpful and provide regular day and night entertainment. We love to see new places but I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Solid Resort

Quite pleased with this resort still. We have been to this complex 4 times and been to ambar twice. Updated rooms are well done. Food is decent and most staff are very good. The app is atrocious before you get there but is useful to track entertainment and alacarte bookings.

Pros- Beautiful grounds, common areas well kept. Shuttles to and from beach to room to lobby A la cartes were pretty good-Nikkei and Maiko. Buffet was average, fair selection. Service average. Spotty drink service at lobby bar and beach. Cons- Check in took a long time despite being only second in line. Had to change room(75101) due infestation of mosquitoes, lack of clean up of dead mosquitoes after fumigation. Coverlet on bed had black and brown stains, room poorly maintained - chain [... read more] lock on door broken(to be fair, was repaired as soon as I reported that), floors poorly patched, television did not work, large vertical crack in door panel where you could literally see outdoors. Requested all be fixed, and I would stay in the room. Only door chain fixed. Once I discovered the shower leaked exuberantly, flooding the bathroom- that was the last straw. Took 2 days to change rooms. Room 31101 was better, still wouldn't class the room as more than 3+ stars. Beach- Lots of lounges, but very close together as it seems half the beach is gone since I was last there 3 years ago. Usual towel game with the lounges. Relentless vendors on the beach-every few minutes! Took to pretending I was asleep. Pool-difficult to get a lounger during the day Transport to airport-25 minutes late. Made it to my flight with 0 minutes to spare due to long line ups for Swoop check in, security, and emigration. But online E-Ticket for Dominican Republic worked great. Tip- For me, the Grand Bahia app worked the way it was supposed to.

Definitely not what I expected can’t say I really enjoyed the stay. I’m not picky and I definitely don’t have high standards but the staff and service was no 5 star maybe a 3 star. Many things didn’t work in our room alone then the buffet is probably the worst I’ve experienced on many trips. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great Resort.

Everything was good except for the washroom of our room, the flush was broken we have to complain 3 times but not fixed completely and the Bathroom Exhaust Fan was also not working all 5 days after the shower it was completely foggy. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Comfortable Resort

We had a junior corner suite Block 63. It was very spacious with king bed. Walk in shower with separate toilet area. Large vanity. Sitting area had a couch and two chairs with small table for eating. Mounted TV swiveled to view in the sitting area. Soaker tub was across from sitting area. We were on 3rd floor, with a huge corner balcony. Sun in the am was great for reading and having coffee. The main buffet was huge with many choices. There was a large walking path down to the pool that was about a 10 minute walk. The beach was just beyond pool. The waves were fun to swim in. There was lots of seating at both. Loved the speciality restaurants Portofino and Meat that were by the pool. Best to reserve speciality restaurants on arrival they fill quickly. The beach restaurant beside the pool was our preferred buffet restaurant. Room service was great and available 24hrs. Would be nice to have a menu for room service. When doing excursions you sometimes get back late so it was nice to have room service available. Staff were amazing even though there was a little language barrier.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Checked All the Boxes

Right from being picked up at the airport on our arrival to check in, it was a breeze! The hotel staff were very attentive, friendly and catered to our every need! The food was great, the rooms were spotless, in fact the entire hotel was VERY clean. After not going away for 6 years, it was a pleasant experience!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Reliable

This is the 4th time that I have had the pleasure of staying at Bahia Principe Esmerelda. Although the property is slightly outdated and in need of some renovations, it continues to be one of my favourites resorts in Punta Cana. The beach is beautiful, I had a working air conditioner in room, hot water in my shower, the place was clean and the entertainment has improved since pre pandemic. I did notice that at the pool bar, I was over looked x2, as the bartender served other male guests that came after me and overlooked an elderly gentleman that was waiting even longer than I . I brought this to their attention as I had to slap my hand in protest and say”hey, wait a minute, u r serving others 2 other people and were ready to serve the third before I said something. “ The older gentleman came up to me and thanked me as he placed his tip money into his pocket and said he was not going to tip. They seem to overlook women over 40 and the elderly. Sad. As far as COVID precautions, some staff work masks and some did not. There was sufficient hand sanitizers around the food pavilions/ restaurants, however not many people utilizing this anywhere else.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Exceptional hotel and service!

This hotel is very well located close to many optional excursions. We had booked a sea view and was placed in a garden view room. After calling the reception desk they quickly changed our room on the 5th floor where we could view the sea, the children's park, the bay and the sunset. It was Wow! I didn't know how much the view can make a difference in your vacation package. We still had our 10K steps per day! :) The food was excellent - a lot of variety, 6 a la carte restaurants, where you can book 3 of them during your week. I am usually a little ill eating the food in the Caribbean - but not there! The service was excellent. Always greeted with a smile. Cons - and not really: they have the prestigious club - where personnel approach you and want you to attend a special session. We didn't get into that trap. Although that being said they did not hound us and pressure us like in the past like other places. Another con would be that the bed was a little hard for my personal liking. I would recommend this place to my friends. Nice venue for a wedding without worrying about your photos being bombed.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful and clean resort

Friendly and courteous staff. Grounds are keep very clean and the beach and pool are excellent. Ambar rooms are up to date and clean. The al la carte restaurants are top class. The breakfast buffet was very good and lunch at beach was also good Very little wait times for tables at any eating area. Relaxing holiday.
