Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Great experience

we had no expectations, good or bad for Iberostar Dominicana as we registered there so we could scuba dive with Dressel Divers which operates out of the resort grounds. we were pleasantly surprised by the experience and would return. in short, the facility was immaculate, staff friendly for the most part and food and lodging excellent.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Relaxing Frindly Resort

Our Family had an excellent stay at the Resort. The staff was helpful,friendly and courteous. Cuba has limited resources, but we were offered the best , safe , and comfortable hospitality. We will go back.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: A very pleasant stay

Very pleasant surroundings. Small, 4-unit buildings scattered throughout a well maintained tropical park with stone paths and lush vegetation around. Clean swimming pools, lobby area, a spacious buffet restaurant with no walls - airy and open. Excellent food. Crystal clear sea water with lots of fish visible (unless there are waves – then visibility drops). The best access to the water is from a pier due to coral rocks at the water edge. You can arrange snorkel trips (55 U$ per person)  [... read more]to be picked up from the hotel pier. Hobie catamarans available free of charge if you are comfortable to operate them yourself.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: great resort

hotel was great grounds well maintained and room accommodations excellent, as were the pools. dining was typical cuban cuisine ...amazing staff. would recommend this property for total rest and relaxation.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing Resort.

16 day stay and everything was perfect. Food and drinks were great. Lots of variety. Polite and kind people work at this resort. Beach was great and long. Venders were very good also. No pressure. Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Perfect beach

Staff are friendly. Food has been the same all week. One day they ran out of flour, so there was no bread and no pastry for a day. Beach and weather (28C in March break) was perfect. There were a LOT of mosquitos and black flies.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: A Definite Must to Visit

This was our 5th visit to this resort and the first time staying in the Coral Level Village (also known as the Grand Village) section. It's a resort within a resort with table service restaurants, private pool and beach, butler service and apartment style rooms including kitchens (not really functional) and hot tubs. The first week it was only half full so there was lots of room but by March break it was full which made for some waits at the restaurants and limited palapas on the beach. Staff w [... read more]ere very good but not at full capacity. Access to the main part of the resort is by shuttle bus (not always reliable) or a 3 km walk. This area is perfect for people looking for good service and not having to deal with buffet dining. When we return (and we will return), it will be to the Spa section of the main resort. The rooms are very spacious and you are closer to all the resort facilities. We have also developed some good friendships with staff in this section which is a very enjoyable part of our vacation experience. As for COVID matters, it was very well looked after and the resort had full service testing on site which was easily accessible. All staff adhered to the regulations and everything was well cleaned.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Absolutely Fabulous Resort

This was our 3rd time at this resort and we loved it so much. The staff are all amazing....especially Orlando in the Lobby Bar and Daniela in tge Prestige office. The resort was clean....inside and out and the food was amazing

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Loved this hotel

More then expected from a Cuba adults only resort in just post pandemic. Food really basic but you’ll not starve 😀 For drinks I stick for all stay with Tequila and beer. There no vodka on the resort. Cappuccino is perfect as usual. Bar personnel is fast and very friendly. All staff actually was friendly and quite helpful. Every night there is a dance by the theatro till 1 AM. Beach is wonderful. Good condition tennis courts. Valleyball net on the beach. No shortage of pool or beach chairs a [... read more]t all. Reception is quick and resourceful. Wi-Fi is ok and free. If you need to recharge, no problem at the reception or from your room by calling the reception. We had a lot of fun with new friends we made there! Strongly recommend this hotel for people who love to have fun.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great resort

Excellent grounds, v.helpfull staff, v.good food selection, top rate. Room was very well located BUT lots of problems with it. Fridge never worked(reported twice, no results).Water leak in bathroom ceiling, fixed after 6 hour leak. Room safe sometimes failed to open, needed staff help to open. Book and paid for a Oceanview room but was given a Pool view room instead, would not change despite me showing them my copy of booking paper. Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great Vacation Getaway

We've been on vacations to Mexico but this was our first time staying in Cozumel. In summary, we were not disappointed. The Iberostar property is clean, has very friendly staff and well maintained. Our room was on the second level of one of the cottages and although a bit small, was very clean and well appointed. We ate at all the restaurants and found to be fresh and delicious. Our daughter is vegetarian and had no trouble finding items to eat. The only minor criticism that I can mention is th [... read more]at some buffet items were sometimes a bit slow to be replenished but this happened only a few times. We never had an issue getting loungers on the beach although the finding a vacant pair around the pool after lunch was a challenge. Evening entertainment was fun and took place both in the main lobby followed by a variety of live shows in the open air theatre. We are a family of divers and enjoyed the onsite Dressel Dive shop. Its easy to see why Cozumel is such a popular scuba location. The beach was the only disappointment. Although clean and sandy, you'll need beach shoes to save your feet from the rocks when entering the water. Snorkelling at the resort was sub-par with the only fish found by the boat dock. That said, the beach itself is very clean and suitable for shoreline walks. We'd recommend this resort to our friends and family.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great resort

Overall great experience! The food was amazing and the beaches were beautiful. The music played in the clubs could have been better but still not bad! I would skip all the al la cart restaurants (expect for the Mexican restaurant) and just eat at the buffet, the food is really good and offers a wide variety.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Beautiful Mayan Riviera

We felt that this hotel was a fantastic example of what one should expect from a 4/5 star resort! The grounds were phenomenal with wildlife all over. Maintenance personnel were also prominent on the grounds and building facilities, as were security personnel. Water and ice were available from purification systems, so no health concerns. Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Fantastic time

Recently returned from a stay at the Iberostar Selection Bella Vista resort in Cuba and I can’t wait to return! I was on the 8th floor overlooking the ocean (Star Prestige Package) and the room was spacious, clean, modern. My brother and I enjoyed all our meals (we did not try the buffet), especially on the 11th floor where the staff were friendly, attentive and accommodated of all of our requests. This was my first trip to Cuba and some of the highlights would be - the Cuban people, beach, stunning scenery and finally the amazing coffee!!

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: The best of Varadero!!!

The Iberostar Selection Bella Vista is an amazing hotel. The restaurants, pools, beach and staff are exceptional! Cuban beach’s, weather and hospitality have always been reasons to travel to this beautiful island, this hotel experience took it to the next level! If you do choose this hotel, upgrade to Star Prestige, it is well worth it! Cleanliness and safety protocols are a high priority. We felt very safe and had zero COVID concerns. In all, a hassle free amazing vacation!!!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Huge resort, lovely beach

The hotel is massive, and with the limitations of access to parts , the inter hotel transport leaves much to be desired for anyone on a schedule. Allow 40 minutes to an hour to get a ride from the main lobby to the Coral lobby. The guest services butlers do the best job they can with what is available. The issues of Cuba remain supply chain. You certainly can't make any crisicisms of the beach and water. They have plenty of Palapas and although the beach loungers have seen better days, they [... read more] do the job. No chairs on the beach, so take care of your back. All of the staff, with the exception of one, were more than helpful. Very engaging and appreciative of any tip or gift they recieve. None is expected. Note take Canadian currency, and tip in US ones. Since using coin is not good. It's heavy to carry and the Cubans can not change coins in any Bank. As is normal for all countries. The ride to the hotel(90 plus minutes) from the airport is long, but the tour guides usually do a good job at educating you on the cities, towns and history of Cuba. The Coral level is very quiet, the hotel was not at capacity, so one physical restaurant managed to morph into 3 or 4 different a la carte dining places. To be very honest, try the buffet. The food options are many, even though it is hard for them to get supplies. Feel free to instruct the chefs cooking your chicken, pork or beef to not over cook. Meals can become repetative, this also speaks to supply and reduced numbers of guests. Check in was a bit confusing, there seems to be simple solutions to streamline processes. Consistancy is key. Mask wearing was generally done by most guests and all staff. Enforcement was a bit spotty. But you never felt unsafe. The cigar lounge was not open, to my dismay, however the lady workign in the shop is most helpful and pleasant. Do not buy the cigar torches there, they're better priced at home ( $40.00 USD) get the regular lighter for $2.00 USD. The beds are firm and comfortable. Our towels in Coral level were changed daily and the beach towels were in the room and also changed daily. The jaccuzzi was great! A lovely way to watch the stars and sunset. The rooms in the Coral Level were amazingly Huge. The beach at the main building was wider and busier than the Coral level, the bar and lunch area at the main beach were hoping and service was outstanding. Food was good. I've been to Cuba pretty much every year since 1983, seen a lot of hard times, and a lot of better years. The people the safety and the water and beach are all worth the trip. This was our first trip in 2 years, it was interesting how I almost forgot travel routines and how to pack. But the rapid testing was efficient and the need to ensure you complete your Arrive Can , get your emailed reciept! is essential. The WIFI, not surprising is best in the main lobby. Coffee is delicious and don't forget to check out the 24 hour snack bar behind the lobby bar. The Spa is beautiful and my husband took advantage of the massage. This resort may get a second visit from us in a few years...or at a lower price. Have to mention a special thank you to Augustin at the beach bar at the Coral. He did a great job, became a fast friend and kept pace with delivering drinks to you on the beach. He's a sweetheart! Diana and Yandry are butlers at the Coral level, are sincere and not overyly enthusiastic. The bartender Anile( sorry I'm sure that's not how you spell your name) was excellent, very attentive and a true tallent. Thank you for the dance Yamilla! Unfortunately I lost my rings at the hotel, and they were not recovered before I left. One was my father in laws which was the major heart break. I hope some kind soul finds them and I get them back. Next trip , jewlery stays at home. OH the best improvement is the wrist bands so soft and comfortable. The only way to improve them is to put a chip in as your door key. Beautiful gardens and it was winter. Gardeners work hard, reward them. They don't get tipped...so make the change and give them a few of your tip dollars. The pools should be salt water. very clean!

Iberostar Coral Holguin: coral level at Iberostar selection Holguin Cuba

The hotel was excellent in all respects. The wait staff, housekeeping, bartenders, butlers and reception were so accommodating responding to any request with a smile. The massage professionals were fantastic. Better than many massages I have had at home in Toronto. The food at the various restaurants was excellent.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing resort!

Everything was of excellent quality: the service, food, drinks, sports activities, a la carte restaurants. We also liked so much the coffee, snacks, sweets! Would gladly go back next winter with family and friends. Highly recommended!

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Great vacation spot, lovely, warm people

We had a great stay here! it’s a small resort but very new and kept super clean - the beds and pillows are very comfy, and the rooms are giant compared to other resorts, which is actually a nice luxury should you want some time away from the sun. Wifi was available across the entire resort, and we even got a bar of signal on the beach - great if you’d like to stream some beach music Entertainment staff was nice and tried to get the party started, but given the size of the resort and  [... read more]the general demographic, the shows would start at 9:30pm and end by 10:30, so there’s no disco after. Lobby bar open 24/7. Food was really good considering it’s Cuba, and the buffet > a la carte restaurants, but it was nice to get a change of scenery. Beach has the softest white sand and the water is great, and they rake the seaweed on the beach. Honestly, The sea weed is not a big deal IMHO. Service was lovely and the staff was attentive - bring a couple of books and some games and you have a proper vacation ahead of you!
