Excellent value Tv service should be upgraded We brought a flash drive loaded with things to watch Staff try hard to help at all times Same problem as always with people reserving lounges at 7:30 and not using them till after lunch. Food is good especialy breakfast and desserts always excellent. Alehandro stands out as a server. Small tip every day for the maids got us extra towels and water when we needed them. Grand Palladium Vallarta: Lovely resort

Lovely grounds, great food with lots of variety, nice size - not too big, not too small. Awesome staff that are ready to serve. Lots of activities although we chose to spend most of our time reading and walking. Resort is on a cliff, so be prepared for lots of stairs to pools, restaurants, beach and different locations in resort. No elevators. Resort is located 45 minutes north of airport in a remote area so very quiet and away from towns or other resorts. Pools are nice but wish there was [... read more] a larger one for actual swimming. Pool bathrooms were in need of more frequent cleaning. Resort is in a cove so the beach is not large and there is little opportunity to take long walks along the beach Great opportunity to watch or try surfing.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Excellent!

We were very pleased. This vacation was our 2nd time here. One of the overall cleanest resorts we have been too. Staff here are very friendly and helpful. Could always find something to eat. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends.

Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: Great location and value

The location is ideal with beachfront and Old Town on the other. Staff are very welcoming. Food and interior improvements recently. Loved the new look in the main dining room overlooking the ocean. Very clean and great value for stay.

Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Large and well managed resort

We had an excellent experience, the room had a great view and was to our full satisfaction. This resort has sooo may good Restaurants and buffets some close to the ocean ideal for lunch or dinner. The variety of food is amazing and absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful, could not as for better. The beach is large great for swimming or walking. We enjoyed our stay very much, thinking of returning next year.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Would not return

We would have been ok with the resort as the location was perfect, enjoyed the adult pool and the staff were great as we had read in reviews. The downfall was there were many people within a few days that were violently ill for 12 hours which speaks to me of food poisoning. There was a lady there who took the names and room numbers of all the people who had become ill and not eaten anywhere off site when presented to the hotel they were most apologetic and promised they would be more careful and [... read more] look into hand sanitizer before entering the dining area. We watched for any sign they had taken it seriously and nothing was done. I approached the Air Transant representative who let me know there was nothing she could do as if she made complaints she would not be allowed on property. Then as we spoke with Americans who were also becoming sick when they reported to the hotel they were informed that the Canadians had brought a virus to the hotel.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: DISAPPOINTING ROOMS

We were assigned a room with no balcony and looking out the window with a building wall. They said it is nice and quiet here. So we went to the front desk and were told if you want an ocean view you have to pay more per day. I paid $1500 for one week and they want more money. It's only a 3 star hotel. Will definitely not be back. They give you the worst room so you can pay more for an upgrade. Must say people working at the resort are very nice. Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Pleasant,relaxing resort

The rooms and facilities are great. Drinks and food were very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Alacarte restaurants not exceptional. Coffee was often cool and not great. Wine was good. The beach was not swimmable most of the time we were there. Though you can take a dip when tide is low. Plenty of beach chairs to relax in and watch the waves. Beach was Not the best for kids. The biggest drawback to this hotel was the distance to town or outside activities. For the city tour we were a [... read more]way for 10+ hours with 7 pickups and drop offs on the way!

Canto Del Sol: Excellent Resort

This is a smaller resort, the staff make you feel at home! The place is sparkling clean! They are working non stop to keep it that way. Everyone was friendly. The restaurants were okay, if you don't like them you can walk almost anywhere to find what you want. Snack bar was awesome! Pizza, shrimp lots of choices! Jorge and everyone take care of you! They only down side we found - if your room turns out to be on the ground floor and you look out to the restaurant - move! They start ar [... read more]ound 5am and that is the end of your sleep! Excellent location. Only a bus ride down town or a 25 min walk. Lots going on around the resort. Excellent place, would return.

Riu Flamingos: Worst hotel in Mexico!

The Riu Jalisco is not a 5 star hotel! Overall the hotel and general staff were ok. However, the hotel management is terrible. My wife got food poisoning on the third day we were there and I reported it to the hotel management. Instead of offering help the hotel manager, Paula Garcia Alvarez, denied that it was food poisoning and insisted we had brought a virus from Canada. She then threatened to quarantine us both to our room and said we would not be allowed to fly back to Canada on our departu [... read more]re date. They then insisted we went to the hospital to be checked for this 'virus' but didn't assist or pay for the testing and transportation cost. We went to the hospital and the test was negative as WE HAD FOOD POISONING NOT A VIRUS! The only person that cared or helped us was the on site Sunwing Representative, Gabriela Orozco. She escorted us to the hospital and translated for us as well as waited for the test results. She also took care of our transportation costs to the hospital and check in on us daily. She was fantastic. My wife was sick for a week! I would not recommend this hotel, not because we got food poisoning but because the hotel management treated us so badly. We have gone to Mexico many many times staying in 3.5-4 star hotels, all of which were better than the Riu Jalisco.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Beautiful resort!

We found everything very relaxed, clean and comfortable. The ac worked well, the rooms were kept very clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating to all our needs. It was nice to share our stay there with a majority of Mexican tourist families with young children...got to experience a little more of the Mexican culture that way. (I was particularly impressed with their lovely positive and gentle parenting style...didn't hear the loud scolding/ordering of kids around that we NA parents often [... read more] do!:) One thing I noticed this time as well as last year...when you arrive you don't get much of an orientation...no one showing you around re: what is available and where i.e. massage, clinic, main floor washrooms etc. Maybe a map of the grounds/facilities would be nice idea. Meals were good, breakfasts the best! The taco chips/with all the toppings by the pool in the afternoon were hot, fresh and delicious! (Guacamole and sour cream are more Tex-Mex than actually Mexican we discovered...none to be had.) Being on the coast the emphasis is fish.We had the option of 2 a la carte restaurants. We tried the Guacamajazz restaurant. The salmon was amazing...the soups very good as well...the "ravioli" was inedible. (Hard, cold and undercooked, no red sauce, just sitting in an oily flavourless clear liquid...not even butter!) We did choose to vary the food by eating a few of our meals at fantastic inexpensive little restaurants/pubs we discovered in the neighbourhood, right close by. Drinks were absolutely wonderful...and kept coming:) The evening entertainment was a little hit-and-miss...most people seemed to really enjoy it. Our ocean view room overlooked the pools, and we noticed it was quite loud. Next time we will try a room overlooking the garden instead and see if it is quieter.

Costa Club Punta Arena: Costa Club Puerto Vallarta

This is a 3* Resort. Rooms clean, renovated rooms better. Food 3/5 Book the Italian Restaurant at site, 4* Beach area 1/5 Walk to the Malecon ( boardwalk) 20 minutes walk away GREAT! or take Bus or Taxi Restaurants, Flea Market, Local Cuisine at a whim. Friendly staff at the resort. Mostly seniors or families with extremely noisy unsupervised unruly children ( I have 4 myself that were disciplined and taught to act respectfully) Noise from the jack hammers reno next door non stop du [... read more]ring day light hours ( they took Sunday off)

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: What a great holiday!

We thought we were going to be staying at the Royal De Cameron, but what a great ending to what we thought was going to be a bad experience. We ended up at your hotel instead. You have the most amazing beaches! The most amazing food and the most amazing staff! We will definately come back again!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great Stay

This is the 5th time I have stayed there and as always there is nothing I can complain about except for the fact I had to pay 350 in Mexican money to get the key for my room safe. In the past I was given that money back but this time when I returned the key they said it was not refundable which I thought was wrong. Other than that it was a great stay got the room I asked for so everything was perfect Cheers

Costa Club Punta Arena: ok

The staff was great, the food was lacking. We found the lunches were better than dinner. The noise from the construction was a little much. The staff turned up speaker to drown out noise only msde it worst.

Canto Del Sol: Comfortable Resort fairly close to downtown

This is a nice resort and good value for the money. The rooms are clean and it is well maintained. Unfortunately I got food poisoning (believe it was the buffet) but I guess this can happen anywhere. There is stage show every night and it is very good. The speciality restaurants present a very nice meal with very good waiters. The elevators (or lack there of) leave something to be desired. The location is right on the beach but only about two blocks off the main road in to Puerto Vallarta. [... read more] You can catch a bus that will take you to the town centre for seventy cents. For Canadians who are interested in hockey, there is a lively bar on the street with televised games. Good place to stay. We have been there five times and will return again.

My second time at The Royal Decameron Complex. Already planning next year. The staff are so nice and ready to help when needed. Food was awesome. The rooms were clean. Just loved the atmosphere. See You next year.

Riu Flamingos: Amazing resort

We would definitely recommend this resort. The staff couldn't do more for us. When our flight was delayed, they made up a nice plate for us and was waiting in our room when we arrived. We had alacartes every night and had no line ups. The food was amazing along with the buffets. Our room was nice and modern. The beach is beautiful and clean. No plastic cups laying around. Entertainment was very good day and night. Always keeping people active. We love this resort so much that we'll b [... read more]e bringing our family with us next year. Thank you Riu Jalisco for a trip we'll never forget.

Riu Vallarta: good resort

Small resort. Overall things are clean and nice and comfortable. Room was clean . kinda old. door lock was old style key, not smart badge.a bit challenging to open the door. Mattresses are ok , not so comfy though. delicious foods but repetitive. night entertainments ok , not so interesting. Beach was nice. but NO shades at the beach!!? only some palm trees here n there. so we were chasing the shades all the time .lol

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Great spot but...

This was the third time at Sheraton Buganvillias for us and we were a little disappointed this time. All the renos are amazing, the rooms, the restaurants and the Starbucks in the lobby. The staff is great as always but the food this year was not great. We were disappointed in the a la cart restaurants the most, the food was adequate at best and never hot. At the breakfast buffet there was never bacon and we found out you had to ask for it. Why??
