Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great resort!

Enjoyed my stay there. Friendly staff and food is good as well. Only complaint is the resort is massive and confusing. Got lost several times trying to find my room but But overall was beautiful and would go back.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Excellent Food, Beautiful Resort!

I went with my husband and 2 kids age 19 mths and 4. The food was incredible and wait staff was excellent. Grounds were well maintained, rooms were a good size. It was a smaller resort (and really no need for a shuttle although available) but everything you could possibly need was there. Not a party resort, but a very classy one. Highly recommend. We don't usually like to go to the same place twice but we finally found a resort where we would without hesitation!

Riu Emerald Bay: Beautiful Hotel

Second time stay at this hotel..nice stay only complaint is the elevators...so slow waiting for them and to many locals vacation there the same time Canadians do...as for workers they are awesome......

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Our trip

The resort was gorgeous and well kept, our room was amazing. The weather was phenomenal the entire time we were there about 30 degrees and sunny. When we arrived on the Monday we noticed a LARGE military vessel parked out front of the resort that stayed there for the next 7 days and did not move and at one point there was 2 of them. We then began seeing Marine helicopters that flew over our resort at least 8-9 times day, low enough that we could see right in to the helicopter and Marines walking [... read more] up and down the beach patrolling. When we were in town one day we saw 4 armored trucks with Marine Military men on the back and machine guns that were also patrolling the streets. When we asked what the military presence was for no one on the resort knew or they would not tell us, it wasn't until we spoke to a local man who lived in Cabo who told us what was going on. He told us that Mexican police officers were fired because they had been working alongside the Mexican cartel. In response to this the Mexican Cartel made a threat against the Riu Palace saying they would take it over by the end of April. We were terrified when we heard this as we were there in April and considered coming home. I am unsure of the validity of what the local told us, but all I know is that there was STRONG military presence the entire week we were there and I know it was for a good reason!!!!! I was nervous the entire trip and it was the furthest thing from relaxing due to the above dangers. In addition to this the beach is INCREDIBLY dangerous, DO NOT swim in the water. My husband actually saved a mans life who was drowning from the undertow and had been pulled in to the water from where he was standing high up on the beach. The lifeguards will not come and help since they warn you that you are swimming at your own risk. Stay away from the water and take a walk 20 minutes down the beach where it is calm and safe to swim do not risk it!

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Amazing experience!

We had the time of our lives at the Grand Palladium group of hotels. Having access to all 4 hotels underneath the chain is what made it so special. Each hotel had a different look and feel. So many restaurants, pools, bars and activities! There were plenty of beach chairs and umbrella's as well. No matter what type of vacation you are looking to experience you will find it here. It is kid friendly but they also reserve sections for adults only so that they meet the needs of every customer.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Unforgettable

In all sincerity, our stay at this astounding resort had such a profound and calming effect on us, we didn't want to leave. We were treated like royalty (in a most sincere and genuine way) from the minute we entered the premises, until we sadly departed. It is absolutely exquisite in every sense of the word. Riu Flamingos: Second time and still amazing

I love this resort ! It feels like a small town staff is amazing very clean also . Rooms are standard but who stays in their room anyways ! Beach is great the pool is amazing and if you have kids they have their own pool. Lots of activities shows and a dance club please go and experience for yourself and the food is awesome

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful Resort

The Hotel is great, however I personally found it was much too big , Tullum beach was too rocky and Si-an Kaan beach was nice however ,the beach is only waist high An therefore not great for swimming.We were upgraded to Si'an Kaan it was lovely,but lived out of our suitcases as there is no dressers,and a closet with 6clothes hangers,not great for two guests.Aftrr 7 days of our 10 day visit we were told we would be moved back to Coba.when the day came,we asked and were told we could stay at Si'an [... read more] Kaan managers told us it was taken care of ,only to come back to our room next day and locked out told we were suppose to move,had 15 minutes to pack and move to Coba,lost our dinner reservations,Rooms are much nicer at Coba wish we had stayed at Coba for our 10 day stay,but don't know if we would go back,beautiful,but too big

Grand Sunset Princess: A MUST VISIT

The hotel was Amazing! People could be a little friendlier but the cleanliness of the room, grounds and food superseded. Nightly entertainment was AMAZING!! They did a fantastic job with the shows! I have been to many places in Mexico and around the world, I would really recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good place to vacation. Thanks TripCentral and our Agent!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Grand Bahia Principe Coba

Our first day at the resort was really nice. We got there around night time so straight away we went to eat at the buffet. There is a great selection of different types of foods at the buffet ranging from breads to pastas to chicken and fish. The staff at the buffet was wonderful and gave great service, they were all very friendly. The next couple days we went to check out the resort and the place itself is very spacious. There was a snack bar right beside our room and pool area which is great if you just want a quick bite to eat. Not as much selection at the snack bar as the buffet but understandable. The guacamole and chips were great while chilling by the pool. We got 2 rooms for 2 people each so 4 people in total. The rooms are very nice and big to fit quite a few people. The staff at the hotel was very accommodating when we needed something (Tissue, tea bags, etc) The only downside I would right as a 'CON' was when my daughter had food poisoning from one of the A La Carte's we ate at. I believe it was the French restaurant located near the lobby. We suspected it might be 'Uncooked Lamb' or the dessert she ate, we don't know exactly but she definitely felt VERY sick after eating there and I would not recommend it. She puked a couple times so we had to buy Gatorade for her in the gift shop located at the lobby, always be prepared for those things! Overall, the staff was lovely and the place itself is great if you like big resorts and want to relax. I give it a ✰✰✰✰/5.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Awesome resort best value for your vacation dollars!!!

I have to say that everyone treated us very well here and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. The room had a great sea view and the weather was just great! Cleanliness and comfort was excellent. Service was exceptional!!! I will definitely be back to this place :)

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Good resort.

Good basic resort. Not quite as clean as everyone seems to suggest but I may be more picky. Maids seem a bit inconsistent at times. Pools are good but the poolside chairs are very uncomfortable.(except cocos 5 pool which has new and better comfortable chairs) Food was the same at almost all restaurants with some differences here and there. Al la carte was better. Bar by the Mexican restaurant was very good and not as busy. Bar by the buffet was not as good and service lacking. Bar at the La Bamb [... read more]a was very good. La Bamba bar also has a cappuccino machine coffee etc. Coffee over all was not fantastic but it passed for us. There are other options nearby if you wish to purchase it. Be weary of the store across from main hotel entrance incorrect change given back from purchase and no prices on most goods in their store.

Riu Santa Fe: Great vacation!!!

Was hesitant at first as rooms appeared dated but they were so clean that it made up for the older decor. Food was good. Large variety. Pools were great. 4 on total. Drinks plentiful and good. Staff were friendliest I have ever seen. Close to town and can walk it on the beach. Water too rough to swim but 5-10 min walk to the right has a roped off area to swim. We did and it was great.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Beautiful Resort

My family came here on a group trip from April 17-24th, 2017. It is beautiful and I love that nature is all around with the monkeys and iguanas and deer everywhere. However our room was wrong as we are a couple and wanted 1 bed not 2. It was unable to be changed but we made the most of it. There is tons of walking and stairs. My mom has 2 replaced hips and it was a lot for her. It rained a couple of days and it was insanely slippery. It took them a long time to put down mats to keep from falling [... read more]. I ended up falling more than once and actually hurt my foot pretty bad. The beach is beautiful. The pools are great but I wish there was more than one with a swim up bar. The a la cartes are great but the buffet gets a bit boring after a while. Also in many areas of the resort there is a terrible smell. I dont know if it's sewage or manure but it is fairly overpowering. Also while we were there one of the buildings roof collapsed onto the balcony below it. Very scary. Overall though it was great. The employees were super friendly and helpful. Just a few things would have made this a near perfect resort.

Crown Paradise Golden: Just right!

Amazing food and activities every day. The crowd was also quite varied and diverse. The server Augustin was a real hit with us and all the staff were friendly and outgoing. Rooms were pretty standard but all we really needed them for was sleeping.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Amazing trip

This resort was so big and beautiful. Everything was very organized, clean and well managed. The staff was so friendly and nice. Nothing but great things to say about it. The check in was very slow but other than that there we're so many people and things to do we were never bored! Also gorgeous beach!!

The hotel was beautiful - clean, well groomed and easy to get around. Loved the layout. Even at capacity, it never felt too busy. Food was spectacular and service was perfect. Would definitely go back to the Fives

Excellent grounds, great food, friendly staff. Also well cleaned rooms, done daily. Pools n restaurants were great. Lot of walking as resort is large, however, good exercise. Definitely would return.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Riu does it again!

We loved this hotel and had such a great vacation in Cabo. Literally, we did not see a single cloud the entire 7 days we were there. The weather was great, the hotel was great, the food was great (loved the Indian), the pool was great, the room was great. We had the best hotel maid, who took great care of us. Thank you Iris! It was a working holiday for me and I arrived to find that there was no desk in the room. They brought me a little table and a chair, which was very nice. Not that it's impossible and don't get me wrong, the beach is beautiful and very clean, but there can be some really rough waves and the water is cold. I'm usually a beach person, but the pools are very nice with great views. A cab ride into the city is 250 pesos each way, but there's also a public bus that costs about 15 pesos. There is also a Walmart within walking distance of the hotel, which came in handy because we forgot our sunscreen. We went into the city and took a water taxi around Land's End (El Arco) for 260 pesos each. The tour agents will try to sell you a sunset dinner cruise for between $50 and $90 US, but it didn't seem worth it.

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Great place to stay!

I went with my boyfriend and we had a great stay are Barcelo! The breakfast buffet was our favourite and we enjoyed all of our a la carte dinners (seafood, mexican and sushi). Dinner buffets were also delicious. The lunch buffet was our least favourite (but still enjoyable). Most days we were satisfied to eat guac and chips at the snack bar though! My only negative experience with the trip was with the concierge. I didn't find them overly helpful with a few issues (booking a la cartes, wifi, booking shuttle back to hotel etc). They have a strange policy of photo copying your ID when you buy wifi (also you can't charge it to your room, you need your credit card). When I asked them why they only responded that it was their policy. They could not explain why they needed it, where it was stored or how long it was kept. A small thing maybe but it certainly bothered me. Also it's an inconsistent policy since one time they didn't photocopy ID and one time they did. Overall a great week and if I was the type of person to go back to the same place twice I certainly would!
