Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Fabulous Resort

We totally enjoyed our time at Secrets! We went for my husband's 60th birthday with 5 other friends. Everyone loved our pool time and relaxing vacation. We did go on a couple of day trips to local towns and deep sea fishing! There is so much history in the Baja desert! Excellent and friendly staff, delicious food at various restaurants on the Resort, beautiful bright rooms and immaculate grounds, everything was very clean and very well maintained. The only negative is that because of the un [... read more]dertow, you cannot go swimming in the ocean ... but you can walk on the beach and enjoy the pounding waves. There are lots of pools, daily activities and a golf course to compensate! Would we go again .... yes, in a heartbeat!!

Playa Los Arcos: Loud busy Hotel, great staff

Very busy small hotel with great staff, hit and miss food in a good location on the beach. Lots of shopping in area. If you want to be in the middle of the action, stay here but get a room on the side where you might be able to get some sleep. DO NOT take a room with door facing the street. WARNING!: Avoid the jewellery store across the street to the left (Marino and Marino or Joyeria Delfin). Ricardo is a scammer who adds to your bill and distracts you so you don't notice. He's very good at [... read more] this; he added $100US to my bill. The other jewellery store, Yoler, right across the street is very expensive. If you want a fair deal, turn right when you leave the hotel and go to Siverland in the next block. Small, owner-run. Food: mediocre. Salads and fruit are excellent but mains are heavy and starchy. Pools: all seemed clean but the one bordering the beach looked not as good at the end of the day. Staff: Very hard-working and did a good job. Visible security too. I don't think I would return to this hotel because of the noise. They have 2 other properties a block away from the beach and I would try oone of them.

Riu Santa Fe: It was great.

It's quite a nice hotel. They changed our room without any problems. Our 1st room faced the back and we wanted morning sun and a view. Sports bar made awesome cappacinos (with bailey's of course). Bldg 7 and the infinity pool was really young and not our cup of tea but the middle pools were great. Overall I would go back but had issues at the airport with the scam artists in security. They can take your money without any recourse and they will tie you up until you pay. You'd think will all thei [... read more]r bad press they may welcome visitors more.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Very good meal

Yes, Except the playa and the beach, everything was perfect. Too much ´´roches' on the beach and on the water... And no many man alone, lol. But that's not your fault hihi......... ............i don't understand why my comments are not going...

Riu Santa Fe: Party resort.

Hotel was nice. Well kept and great scenery. Food was ok. Nothing special. Front desk staff were very inconsistent and not helpful when issues arose such as problems with rooms ie... two twin beds pushed together and calling it a king bed.. not accept. Took 3 days to change rooms to a proper king bed. Beach was not great. Vendors harrased you all day of you sat down there and there is no escaping it. Not safe to swim as waves are to big all the time Pool bars are full of 20 years olds drunks all day partying to hard. Good resort of you want to go get smashed, party, do drugs and not relax. Catalonia Yucatan: Awesome holiday!

This resort was very clean, food was great. We had fun with the suds party! We walked to the marina almost everyday. Lots to see! A great place to go if you just want to relax.the only thing we didn't like was having to get up by 6 to get a shaded lounges on the beach or around the pool.

Grand Sunset Princess: Phenomenal Resort!

This resort was by far the best resort I have been too. I have travelled all around, even living in Bermuda for 6 years. There was a group of 7 of us and we all feel the same. From the delicious food (Buffett & restaurants), we never had a disappointing meal. The rooms were always cleaned very well, the shower pressure was ideal. Everything about this Resort was amazing, food was top notch, beach, pools, restaurants, service! There was 7 of us who booked together through trip central and could not have been happier! Sad to be home and can't wait to go back, highly recommend

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Bad experience

We had a bad experience with booking an excursion with the staff in the towel huts. It was raining hard with thunder and lightning and heavy rain. The trip should have been cancelled as we booked a catamaran and the conditions were unsafe. We should have been refunded but the staff was laughing at us and told us we're in Mexico and we're taunting us to do something stupid. The Food wasn't very good either only the sushi was good. The entertainment staff and pool bar staff were excellent though. [... read more] Nightlife is very poor as well and if you are going with more than 4 people find a new place to go because you will never be able to eat together since they don't take reservations and don't want to accommodate you. There will be empty tables they could put together but they just won't do it. Our whole group of was very disappointed.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Very loud all night party!

Clean, fun resort with fabulous food! BUT the all night pool/beach party on Saturdays is no joke. Our room was in the 5000 building on the party pool side and the music blared ALL NIGHT until 7am. Even with earplugs it was like sleeping next to a loud speaker. There were only a handful of people down at the party, so not sure why they needed to have the music that loud all night long!...I can understand if we were the only ones not at the party, but there was barely anyone. Other people who had [... read more] rooms surrounding this pool reported sleeping on the floor in the bathroom, hoping the added door would insulate from the noise...it did not! The hotel staff were actually quite rude and didn't seem to care much about the complaints they were receiving...just laughed and/or ignored you. We were told that the party is also for local people coming in from other areas, who paid a small fee to come party at our resort for the night. We had a tour booked for the next morning with a 7am pickup time, which we went up to the lobby and had the hotel staff change at 4:30am, since we had not yet had a wink of sleep at this point. The beach isn't great. It is hard (almost like concrete with a bit of sand on top). There are hedges that partially block the view from the beach chairs and the water has quite a few rocks. The hotel grounds and pool areas are very clean. The service by the pool is good...always someone walking around asking if you want a drink...but there are also many bars so you can easily grab a drink yourself. The hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable. The food and service in the a la carte restaurants is very good and no reservations are required...first come, first serve. The alcohol is all premium brands. We were there for 10 days (arrived Sunday morning and departed Tuesday evening) and really enjoyed our stay up until the pool party night...the lack of sleep threw off the last few days of our trip and the lack of concern from the staff was off-putting. The entertainment staff were very friendly, but the rest of the staff in the lobby, coffee shop and some bars were very rude. We would not go back to this resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful expansive resort

The property has everything you would desire at an all inclusive resort. Very friendly people, delicious sumptuous food and lively entertainment. We also enjoyed the guided bicycle and eco tours. We are already planning another trip in June of this year.

Riu Santa Fe: YOU WILL NEVER BE DISAPPOINTED

This is my 3rd trip to the Rui Sante Fe. The resort and rooms are clean. The staff very friendly. The restaurants are clean and have a wide variety of food choices (all Great). The pools and activity staff are amazing. I had no issues with towel or availability of lounge chairs. The weather is amazing not a cloud in the sky.The view is spectacular. I would definitely go back again.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Fun in the sun

grounds are beautiful. very clean. beaches are not Cancun so get a swim out suite. This is my second stay here and I am a little disappointed in the food. Absolutely flavorless.fresh but no taste. The food was amazing before and a big part of why I returned.

Riu Santa Fe: Great Resort

Great place. Only complaint is the doors could have been better insulated for sound in the rooms - could hear people in the halls much too well. Had a great time. The beach is nice but the waves are big.

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Good

Grounds were beautiful, sand is so soft, I loved the food and atmosphere of the Italian restaurant (Portofino (live music 2 nights/week)), the buffet was mediocre. I loved that none of the workers were pushy and the poolside waiters had precision timing with drinks. I disliked all the screaming and splashing children in the pools. Most of the children stayed in the main (warmer) pool, so I was furthest away at the infinity (coldest) pool and I still had to move several times every day to avoid t [... read more]he screaming and splashing. Very frustrating when the parents don't care about their children disturbing the vacation of others. My tropical view from my room was still beautiful but my bed smelt incredibly mildewey. My mother had an ocean view room, with no mildew smell. Maybe it had something to do with how much sun she had streaming into her room. Every time I showered, water would leak into my toilet room, and my shower water never got warm, so I just showered every evening, opposed to morning. I don't believe my mother had these issues in the other building with the ocean views. The elevators broke down in both buildings a couple times and I had to climb the stairs to my 7th level room. I enjoyed watching the Falcon (with his handler) scare all the scavenger birds away at meal times. Honestly, I thought this resort would be a tad more on the conservative side beside there is no swim up bar and no drinks are allowed in the pools, so it was hard for me to get past the screaming and splashing children in the pools.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing Resort-Grand Bahia Principe Tulum Mexico

This resort is amazing, the food is so fabulous, from the prawns, crabs lobsters, fish, fall off the bone chicken and wings, to the mouth watering beef. I cannot say enough about this resort. the California King size bed. The cleanliness of the rooms and resort. The grounds and gardeners they got us coconuts. The beach always a beach chair or palapas. The restaurants and the people are so amazing. Great size rooms. The pools are very large and very clean, No mosquitos did not see a single one. N [... read more]o flies either. Bathrooms around the resort very spotless and everything working. They have trollys that take you around the resort from rooms to lobby or beach and they take you from one resort to another or shopping all for free. There's 4 resorts on the very secured grounds and they are all amazing I recommend all 4 of them for their great services, Luxury Grand Bahia Principe Akumal, Grand Bahia Principe Tulum , Grand Bahia Principe Coba and Grand Bahia Principe Sian Ka An.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Nice Grounds but Food is just OK

Nice resort, a little big for my taste. The beach area was nice, great for small kids. The food was not at all what I expected since I heard from many people that Mexico always has good food. I will not be going back to this resort. The rooms were nice and clean.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Great resort!

Resort was great - pools were amazing, rooms were large and clean. Views from the balcony were beautiful. Food was great, lots of variety. Loved that all restaurants were without reservations (except for Le Chique) so you could just show up anywhere and likely wait minimally for a table. Kids' club was nice as well, my kids enjoyed it! Beach however wasn't great. Lots of seaweed, lots of rocks. There was however a great little BBQ area on the beach, which almost made up for it!
