Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Resort

Just returned this week from 7 nights at the Bahia Principe Coba. The resort is beautiful, they food was great and the people were very nice. Only problem we had was that we had difficulty booking restaurant any earlier than 8:30. Everything was already booked up. We did get to eat at the Brazilian Restaurant Gran Tortuga. The food was delicious. I would recommend it. Coba is not on the beach so you have to go through either Tulum or Akumal to get to the beach. The water was very rough and t [... read more]here was a lot of seaweed. If you are going for the beach I wouldn't recommend this resort. We had fun by the pools though. I recommend the Ek Balam Ruins and Mayan Cenotes excursion, lots of history and amazing cites,food and adventure. This excursion came with a free snorkeling adventure but I wouldn't recommend this the people that run this are very inexperienced we had two incidents that proved this.

Grand Oasis Sens: Great week

Rooms-clean, modern, fridge restocked daily. Check In- fast and friendly. Beach- beautiful, clean and you can walk for miles.Unfortunately if you are a beach person and like to swim in the ocean don't go here. The waves are huge and red flags are up everyday meaning it is not safe to swim. Drinks good but watered down. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Entertainment okay but we prefer resorts with a theatre and theatre style shows instead of burlesque or cabaret style however they wer [... read more]e very talented.Fire show was great! Pools are clean. There is one quiet pool and one with daily activities. Food was good. We did not try any al a cartes but we enjoyed the breakfast, dinner buffet and the Italian restaurant. Would recommend if you want something that is adult only, close to the airport and are a pool person.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: For a secrets would rate a 3&1/2

Crown Paradise Club: What a disorganized and disfunctional resort!

This hotel looks amazing in the photos, boasts amazing reviews of the kid-friendly amenities, and seems like a perfect place for both children and adults alike to unwind in comfort. Unfortunately, this understaffed poorly housekept, non-hospitable resort is far from the fantasy portrayed in its descriptions. The rooms and hallways were poorly looked after leaving garbage from past and present guests for days at a time. Reservations at the a la carte restaurants were a nightmare to book as the reservations desk would infrequently answer the phone when called while conceierge personnel refused to assist as the restaurants were "not their responsibility". Noise is out of control; children swarming the halls daily past midnight with no security to ensure tranquility in the sleeping areas. Walls are paper thin and equipment noise both on and off the resort hummed and crackled at all hours. The list continues... Overall, if your wishing for a Mexican Chucky Cheese that provides inadequate service, mediucocre cuisine, and second rate children themed entertainment - this is it. Take your spouse and relax....

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Amazing Resort with friendly staff

This vacation was one of kind. Staff was very friendly the minute we got there and continued throughout the week. The sushi bar was amazing. The food was great whether the buffet or the a la cartes. Can't forget that Maria was the best server/bartender on the beach!! We would definitely recommend this resort to everyone.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great Staff and Atmosphere

A friend and I spent 8 days at the Grand Oasis. Overall the resort is a great place to vacation. The staff continuously went out of their way to make sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Personally when I go again I would get one of the upgraded room packages as the room we stayed in wasn't in the best shape. The air conditioning barely blew any cold air the and balcony sliding door wouldn't fully close making it quite uncomfortable to sleep. The grounds were well kept and they were continuously working on keeping the resort in tip top shape. The pools were a great place to spend the afternoon hanging and were huge with various sports games going on through the day.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Trip of a lifetime!

Amazing! I loved everything about this resort. The rooms where beautiful and spacious. The food was to die for, from the a la cartes, to the buffets, to sushi bar... all on point! The service was great, absolutely no complaints. The drinks were delicious, which I tested many kinds during my stay haha. The beach was the best I've ever seen! The spa was awesome, clean, serene, and soothing. I had a massage (honestly the best I've ever had). Hmm what else.. Oh yes, the disco was allot of fun too! I [... read more] was on vacation here for a wedding and wasn't my first destination wedding experience and I do have to say that this one was my favorite venue wise. It was private on an elevated beach, very intimate, and the night was so much fun as we were secluded outside from the rest of the resort and didn't have to worry about making noise. All in all, this place is so great!

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Very nice resort

The beaches were definitely not as the photos shown in the brochure. The rooms are very nice. We were in room 3001 very close to the ongoing construction and we were O.K. with that, the pounding didn't start till 9am. The food was great, the Italian restaurant was very disappointing. The biggest complaint was with the staffing at this resort. The expectation of staff to receive tips was some what uncomfortable. It was like a sense of entitlement. I have several examples to share but who will l [... read more]isten. Several of the quests felt the same way and stated they would share the same. After landing in Toronto we noticed our suitcase was broken into.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Great Resort but very Europe Artzy

Hotel was fantastic. Different in the sence of new Art decorated rooms but everything was great. Beach was great but not a lot of swimming area but very warm water. food very good except steak house myself and others all complained it was not a great meal. The Japannese hibachi was one of the greatest shows and audience participation ive had at the dinner. They brought in a great fire show and the breakdancing team from mexico was one of the greatest teams ive ever seen. Only complaint was [... read more] the free trip to Playa Del Carman by Nexustours which was very misleading and we all thought we were being robbed or something. The one tour guide from Nexustours on that day were very misleading.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Beautiful Resort

This hotel stands out for its cleanliness and quality of food, drink and service. Every drink was made with the best top shelf alcohol assuring a amazing drink. Every meal was made to be the best it could be, using quality ingredients and paying attention to its detail. We booked with Trip Central and Carol was amazing. She paid attention to every wish we had and put us in s resort perfectly matched for us. Sandos Cancun: Kid friendly

Grounds were awesome, Cenotes, Myan ruins, animal shelter and lots for kids. Rooms were just ok. Washrooms are very tight. Food was ok. Service inconsistent. Late check out was not available as described. Some staff were not friendly others were great.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Great stay!

This resort is small. I loved the idea of no bracelets or reservations. Pools stayed open till 11. The beach is small lots of seaweed. The chairs on the beach are booked by 7am which is a downer. Food was great. Rooms were clean staff treated you well.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Small intimate resort

The resort is not too big. was beautiful, the rooms were comfortable and well stocked. High end a la carte restaurants and impressive buffets. Friendly, helpful staff. It was the cleanest resort I have been to The beach was nice Enough pools

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Exceeded our expectations!

We were pleasantly surprised on every level! Resort was very clean including our room - No bugs anywhere Buffet and snack bar food was really good overall, fruits and salads were always really fresh A la cart restaurants were excellent! Our favorites were the Thai / Japanese and the Piccolo Italian Service was exceptional everywhere in the resort - the buffets, lounges, bars, a la carts, including booking dinner and the Transat reps . We chose Royal Decameron on its reputation for being friendly and social, both employees and vacationers. Also walking distance to Bucerias (which we also loved), shopping and drinks on the beach. We were in building 3, with an ocean view and close enough to all activities but not to noisy at all. We loved this resort, and would definitely return. It was the best value for our dollar. Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Amazing resort

It's a small resort, but you have everything you want. The rooms, the grounds are very clean, the food a very good variety. Best of all you can go snorkelling and see some 🐢, the entertainment is also good. The staff are very friendly and are always ready to help you make sure you have everything you need. Excellent resort, so far one of the best.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Pretty awesome

This was a great resort. A sushi bar on the beach, nice rooms, cool staff, good drinks. All around noiiice. My only complaints are that you they didn't allow reservations for the a la carte restaurants. That was fine if your two people but any group over 5 couldn't get in for a good 1.5 hours (which is like, at least 2.5 hours in Mexican time). Also, there's too many stairs at the disco. Really though, who puts so many stairs in front of a bunch of drunks. Might as well make me climb a la [... read more]dder. I definitely fell down one or two. It's a good thing I didn't feel a thing amiright?! With that out of the way, turtles and sting rays at the beach and whatnot (bring your snorkel gear). The one day, I followed Crush from Finding Nemo for like 2.5 Mexican hours until I sobered up and realized it was just a rock. The drinks tasted like heaven and Maria was always there with a tray of like 12. She was great! There's smaller pools in front of the rooms that you can spend the day in (if you feel like being away from the pool or the beach) and that you can stop to pee in on your way to the room. There's also beds outside that you can sleep on when you forget your room number (How convenient!). I had almost as fun at that resort as I did writing this review. What a fantastic week. I want to go back but my boss won't let me :( I would recommend this hotel to anybody. It's just a shame it'll never be the same after we were through with it. Cheers!

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Amazing Experience !!

All in all this resort was amazing! We attended a wedding and the services were great! All 27 of us were very well accommodated. The beach was beautiful and well maintained despite the crazy amounts of daily seaweed that rolled in. The turtles and snorkelling were beautiful. The food was good and the staff was very polite. Also they changed our bed sheets and comforter covers everyday, which was very pleasantly surprising since they don't even do that in Canada. The only complaint I have [... read more] is that the washroom was very open concept. The shower is small but not cramped and where the toilet is it sort of feels like you're in a public bathroom stall. The doors to the toilet don't leave much to the imagination so I recommend only traveling to the resort if you're comfortable with the other person. (You can hear everything) Other than that I rate this resort a 5 star because my experience was 100% positive and wonderful!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Good for families, not good for an adult couple wishing for a quiet, relaxing vacation

The resort is very pretty, well decorated, and clean. Staff were mostly very friendly, and the food was pretty good! This resort would be great for families as there is a lot for kids to do. However, traveling as a couple that prefers a quiet, relaxing vacation, this resort is not the right one. There is no "quiet" space in the entire resort. All pools have loud music, and are quite crowded. There is an adults only building/pool, however it is also really quite loud and rowdy. We even asked to be transferred to another resort, however, the Sunquest rep would not return our calls. One thing that was a bit odd compared to other resorts is that they make you line up to be seated at the buffet. This was generally quite annoying as it took a long time to be seated, and is not done at other resorts that we have been to.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Lives up to its 5 stars!

We LOVED this resort. The food was delicious, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the grounds and buildings were meticulous. The beaches were well cared for and there was no shortage of pools or shelters from the sun. We made great friends with the sea turtles, lizards and geckos. For families or couples this is THE place to stay. If you are looking for a really crazy nightlife this likely isn't the place but if you are traveling with friends its perfect.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing resort

We really loved this resort. It was very clean and had very friendly personnel. I would love to come back some time and spend another vacation. The transportation within the resort is well organized and the hotel is super kid friendly.
