Azul Ixtapa Resort: Yes ! it was amising plesce . I loved everyting that i saw there .

I like the hotel , the pools , the beach , the food , the room , the service was vary vary good and vary friendly people that is way i love to go back there . the only thing that i do not see , was boiling eggs at breakfast. i herd some of the guests was asking , ( sorry that wasn't big dale but i like to writhe it down ) But the rest was amusing , the trip i had in Ixtapa - AZUl Resort , for me looks like i had dream . thanks

Riu Flamingos: Great short getaway

My sister and I went for a 4 night stay. The location, beach, and pools were great! The rooms and restaurants were a 6/10. The beach is very sandy and has beautiful views of the mountains. There is an adult pool and kids pool, however the children do go to both. There are many bars and bar carts located throughout the pool area. Riu Flamingos: Beautiful & Amazing resort!!

The room was very nice lots of room & comfortable bed, Dinning area had lots of selections and food was amazing 😉! The grounds were very well kept clean & there was always someone cleaning up after everyone! I would definitely return to this resort!! If you go on any tours while there be sure and ask for Pancho Ochoa he was the best! Nexustourptovallarta.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Loads of Fun!

The hotel was always clean with plenty of staff to cater to our needs. The food was good and fresh with many choices and variety. The pools were abundant and clean as well. This was a very family friendly resort. My family travelled together with 5 adults and 5 children with 4 of them under 4 years old. We were accommodated at every turn making our stay a pleasure. Children, adults, elderly and many drunk people fell around us as the day progressed. It would be good if something were done about that. However with flip flops on it was fine!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: it is a beautifull resort

the hotel was wonderfull the food great at the buffets some of the special resteraunts not teriffic the cleaseness was excellent our only complaint was the water their lawns with sewer water that was areal turn off we would be sitting buy the pools and all u smelled was sewer they should be doing this at night not while we are sitting there

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Good Resort- Huge

Pros - This was a good resort but very large. The pools were amazing, food great, staff excellent every where. We were upgraded from the Beach Resort to Del Mar closest building to the beach Building # 11 Cons - Beach was full of seaweed the entire week. Water too rough to swim in and beach not really nice to take a long walk on due to the seaweed. Staff worked very hard to clean it up with tractors but that wasn't enough to clear it up. Pool chairs also was a problem daily as people rese [... read more]rved chairs as early as 6 am and by the time you come down for breakfast as large as the resort was you could not get one chair. The problem being is that people put towels on the chairs and then you don't see them the whole day. They go to the beach. One day we had to sit on the cement on our towels and complained to Guest Services. They gave us a bottle of champagne and strawberries.

Tukan Hotel Playa Del Carmen: Return Visit

Just returned from a weeks stay at El Tukan. This was my second visit to El Tukan and my wifes first.Check in was quick. Staff was helpful and friendly. No frills kind of place. Room was clean and an ample space for us. Small pool with loungers on grounds with loungers.Outdoor changeroom and restroom if you have to check out and wait around this is nice as you can still hang around the pool area.Free wifi worked in room as well. Tv had one english language channel available if that matters.Haird [... read more]ryer in room as well as a keyed safe. AC worked very well. El Tukan has a jungle feel that drowns out most of the hustle and bustle of Quinta Avenida which is where this is located. Right in the heart of Playa del Carmens 5th Avenue tourist strip.Maid service was great everyday. We look forward to our return primarily for its location and value pricing. We stayed with no meal or drink package included, however food and drink packages are available. We do not drink much and we used El Tukan as a hub.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: An excellent resort

The lobby/bar/stage area was very nice and there was always room to sit comfortably in the sun or shade. The staff were friendly and quick to provide whatever you require. The food, drink and hot beverage selection was excellent. The resort grounds were clean, easy to navigate and were very appealing visually. All 4 pools were very relaxing and comfortable. The shuttle service comes frequently so it was never more than a 10 minute wait to travel to Akumal, Tulum, Coba or the beach.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Azul Fives by Karisma

Hotel was very nice, dining options were excellent, facilities were great, compact site with minimal walking if desired, lots of pools and great kids facilities. Only downside was Villas 15 - 19 were isolated from beach and the main pools. The Deluxe room in Villas 15 - 19 was sub-standard and all had a connecting door to the adjacent suite which made them potentially noisy depending on the family next door.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Amazing Resort

The staff was great could not do enough for you. Nice clean rooms; always things to do if you wanted, nice quiet areas if you wanted. Food was great nice selection at buffet and 4 very good restaurants to choose from.

Flamingo Vallarta: Great Resort

The Flamingo is a small hotel with a great location at the Marina. During our stay the main outdoor dining area was closed for repair so we did not fully appreciate the out door space until it reopened mid week. The grounds are well kept, the pool area and pool are very clean. The lobby is quaint and has an elevator which made it a breeze for luggage. We were in room 322 which had a great balcony overlooking the pool and the Marina. The location at the Marina is cool, you step right onto the [... read more] boardwalk from the grounds and are able to walk the full length of the Marina with access to tons of restaurants. Thursday evening is Market day at the Marina and draws a great group of vendors that are totally different from the flea market vendors. My only downside was the smallish pool area. The pool music was loud and geared to a fifteen year old. With no other outdoor space to enjoy that did not have the thump, thump, thump music blasting it was hard for us to sit and chill. The positive of this was that my husband and I jumped on the local bus everyday and explored the beach towns north and south of Vallarta. It is such a great, inexpensive, safe way to explore.

Bel Air Collection Xpu-Ha Riviera Maya: Amazing, but not for everyone

If you love nature, this is a great place to visit. This is not a five star everything-is-perfect resort. The chipped paint, dirty stucco, few bugs in the room, sometimes unavailable hot water, and lack of nearby beach will bother some, but the resort is in the middle of a jungle, what do you expect? I can easily overlook all these because of the peacefulness and abundant nature (plants, animals, and waves). Try the Mexican dishes - interesting flavours and combinations. The staff was great!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Definitely a blast

Didn't have a good experience with our stay for 7 days, it was a wedding group of 48 people, what promised was not fulfilled, services not good, guest were scattered all over the resort inspite of booking way before time. Some guest were moved to neighboring resort. My sister & her husband from US were shown checked out of the hotel one day prior to their actual check out date as they shared the same last name as the other guest from US. They were stranded outside their room during midnight as t [... read more]heir room key was inoperative. It took the hotel reception an hour to resolve the issue & check them back in. This was totally unacceptable service.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Valentin Riviera Maya

Our hotel was amazing. The grounds were beautiful, staff was amazing and our room was very clean. Lots of variety at all the restaurants with very efficient service.our experience with Air Canada wasn't quite as satisfactory however. I was separated from my husband on our return flight even though I was travelling with a noticeable injury that made it difficult to navigate my way around. When we questioned why we were seated so far apart we were told that the other passengers had paid extra to c [... read more]hoose advance seating. I asked others standing in line if that was the case and none of them had paid extra. Our holiday was fairly pricey and we do not appreciate the way we were treated by Air Canada staff in Cancun. The only saving grace was the fact that it happened at the end of an otherwise enjoyable holiday. I would definitely travel to the Valentin again; however, I don't think I will chose Air Canada as my airline of preference.

Riu Emerald Bay: Wonderful!

The resort is huge and even though it was obviously busy, people are spread out. The service was A+ all around. The food wasn't great but one could usually find something to enjoy. The Mexican restaurant was a huge let down and couldn't understand how it took so long to get a reservation when the restaurant was never full at seating times. Sometimes great or spaghetti soup. Disappointed they tolerate smoking on the lower level despite no smoking signs. As a non-smoking, not thrilled to be waiting for a restaurant to open with smokers smoking beside me. Sports bar is open 24hrs so can always get a drink or really basic food when the restaurants are closed. Can be hard to find a lounge chair outside if you wait too long to go out but overall wasn't too bad. Adult pool patrons can be a little hardcore (all day drinking, never get out until they puke, or just staying) The beach was amazing! Just amazing. But the tide is wild and fast, no swimming. Tell the vendors you don't have money on you or avoid eye contact and they'll leave you alone. Sand is hot hot, be prepared. There is a souvenir type market at the end of the beach, walk on the street side or take a taxi. Have fun bartering with the locals. Room fridge is only refilled every 2 days which can suck but whatever. Room was spacious and clean (I asked for extra pillows) the bed is firm, not hard but quite firm whereas I'm used to a cozy bed at home. All rooms face ocean side of hotel. There were 2 weddings that were quite loud but wrapped up at 10 pm so can't complain. The gift shop charges you in USD but can't accept USD so converts to pesos but being CDN, not ideal. Taxis are waiting just outside the grounds to take you anywhere. Talk price before service, they have a list at the front door (most were on par) Careful of some drivers asking you to timeshare presentations, don't fall for it no matter what! Overall we had a great time and I was sad to leave, I'd definitely go back to the Riu here!

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Not the vacation we had hoped for or worth what we paid. Disappointed Honeymooners.

The resort had its pros, but the cons outweighed them by far. First of all, we did extensive research on the resort before purchasing our package as this was a very special trip for us being our honeymoon. Both of us had been to Mayan Riviera in the past and knew exactly what we should expect while visiting. Overall, we are just disappointed in what we got for what we paid. The resort is no where close to a 5 star but has the potential to be one. Pros: - Room was amazing, it was big with lot [... read more]s of room and very clean! The room was looked after and cleaned every single morning (fresh towels, towel art, beds mad, bathroom cleaned, fridge stocked, etc). Cozy and comfortable beds! - Breakfast was the best meal of the day, although the waiters seem understaffed as I had to get my own cup of hot tea more than half of the trip after waiting for over 15 minutes after asking a waiter for one. I understand maybe not getting this served during lunch or dinner but for breakfast I would have higher expectations. The food was delicious, all of the fruit was fresh and there was always a lot to go around. Lots of variety and very comforting food. - The Spa, this was an extra expense so I can't consider it something that you would experience if you just got a basic package but honestly so worth the money! The spa is like no experience we have ever had, it is set apart from the resort in the jungle atmosphere, very clean and relaxing and everyone was professional and accommodating! - Coffee Shop, this place was awesome! The girls were very friendly and did an excellent job taking care of visitors. The drinks were delicious and always fresh. - The grounds were for the most part very clean and the landscaping was beautiful. Very well taken care of and always people working hard to keep it in top shape. - Shuttle service is pretty good! They will take you wherever you want to go! - Our main air transat rep was great (he's from France) but the other guy working was really unprofessional and impatient with guests. Cons: - We arrived at 1pm local time, check-in was not until 3pm local time so we were forced to walk around while our luggage was unattended in the parking lot as they would not let us bring it with us. This was extremely inconvenient as we had medications that we required to take as were both sick at the time. On top of this, they didn't even had the room ready until the very last second that we were allowed to check in. The attendant was still cleaning the room as we arrived (keep in mind every morning we were there our room was cleaned between 8-9am). This was not a good start to our trip after such long travel hours. Check out for most flights are typically in the morning, so our room should have been available. They did try to move us to ocean view for a price because they appeared to be a little over booked. - Lunch and dinner were not great. The food was presented well but the quality was not like other resorts. The food is very mediocre, there is nothing special about it at all. We have had better food at other resorts in Mexico of less status. We were only allowed 3 alacartes so it was hard to find variety in our meals. Sometimes we didn't want to eat dinner because of the food quality. We ordered room service on second last evening and my husband got sick immediately after ruining our last day at the resort. We tried to buy extra alacartes but they would not let us as they said the alacartes were completely booked, every evening we walked by them and they were typically half empty. Huge disappointment. - Staff were not overly friendly or courteous, they did not really go above and beyond for anyone. The waiters/waitresses were not great, again, they really had an issue getting us a beverage with our meal. There were maybe three nice waiters that we encountered. They seem understaffed for the quantity of guests during meals. Saying that, the Spa staff were incredible and helpful! The supervisor was great at the front desk as well. Bar staff were not friendly. - This resort should be advertised as a family resort, we spotted maybe a handful of single couples but the resort was mainly children and young families. This would have been okay had there been somewhere that was allocated to adults but this was not the case. There were no rules that kept kids from disrupting other guests, an example, the lazy river was constantly being disrupted by kids either knocking your tubes or just disrespecting the area. - Akumal beach is now closed to all tourism and site seeing as previous tourists have disrupted the turtles and other wildlife. This is not the resorts fault in anyway but worth mentioning as we had planned on experiencing this once in a lifetime opportunity. You can now pay for a $70 US excursion with $10 tax on top to possibly see turtles in another location. We did not see any turtles :( - The beach is very rough, a lot of rocks and coral. You have to swim very far out to snorkel, there are a few fish close to shore but the waters are very so we did not feel comfortable going out too far. Would have been nice to take out a paddle boat or kayak to get to a good snorkelling location but there never seemed to be anyone working the desk on the beach and it was not advertised. Honestly, we came home very relaxed but we are disappointed with our experience. For the price we paid, we would not go to this resort again. The resort needs to focus on better serving a large amount of people with the staff that they have, we really felt that our money was not well spent and we were dismissed. We are not that fussy when it comes to travelling as we travel all the time but this would be by far our worst experience with an all inclusive.

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: What an amazing week!

We stayed here march 28-April 4 Our trip was amazing the service was outstanding. Yea we had 40 min wait for room service but no different than anywhere else I've been too. Rooms were amazing amenities were amazing and staff was always willing to serve with a smile. We tipped all the servers $1 and tipped our bar tender at the pool $5 at the start of the day and continued to bring drinks all day long. Food was best I have had yet in Mexico, dinners were yummy and well served. Netflix works great and you can order a bunch of different pillows Pools get warm - got no less than 80. Get up early for a towel directly beside the pool (again same as any other resort I have been to) Only negative is night life was blah. Disco had my group of 6 and no one else lol. Highly recommend the bike ride as it was AMAZING got to pet wild monkeys and parrots (only tip required) We stayed in ocean view room (8509) high vaulted ceilings with couch and jacuzzi in the balcony than upgraded to ocean front swim 7225 and it has an incredible view and beautiful pool

The hotel is amazing and well looked after. The maids do a fantastic job and always have our room ready for occupancy early in the day. Thanks to a very special team that the Valentin employs - they are great and the timing to make up the room is perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!

Riu Palace Pacifico: Paradise at the Riu Palace Pacifico

Our group of 14 travelled to the Pacifico from April 7-14 2017. We couldn't have asked for a better resort to suit all of our needs. Travellers ages ranging from 16-87,3 adults needing special services, and 3 of our guests meeting up with us from Scotland. I did find that we had better luck booking 3 tables to accommodate our large group. The beach was fantastic. We took a cab into Buccarias for the market and discovered a fab bar on the beach called Fat Boys. It was a great, safe afternoon out. Our kids took a cab into Puerto Vallarta one evening for dinner. Great experience for them as well. It was a memorable family vacation for us, and very special. The Riu Palace Pacifico is wonderful. We will definitely return.
