Barcelo Solymar: Loved the resort

I loved having a bungalow and the view we had from there was awesome. kept very clean. The ground area well taken care of. The services was wonderful. Great food. Loved the beach. Loved the breeze off the ocean and all the trips you could take. First time to Cuba loved ever minute of it.

Occidental Tucancun: A lot of work required

Hotel itself was fine, clean and easily accessible, although there are a lot of stairs. Food was terrible (lack of variety and always cold). Beach and pools were fun. There are no palapas on the beach, so very hard if you want some shade.

Barcelo Tambor: Holiday with up's and down's

After a long 4 hr drive to this resort as I was lead to believe that it was a 11/2 . Than our holiday was to begin the buffets were always fresh and interesting when returning to our rm the key didn't work and this happened for three days and on the fourth day we waited outside the rm sitting on the floor waiting to get in our rm it was 45 mins later when a worker showed up to let us in. Also when we booked our trip I didn't know that the costa rica christmas holiday was during our holiday as th [... read more]e resort was filled with many local people enjoying there last week of break with their children .I was amazed at how rude many of these people were to visitors in there country and the lack of respect to the proptery of the resort. On our last day check out day we had to leave the resort at 7 am as the road to the airport was under construction and was going to be closed for 2 hrs our flight wasn't until 4pm it was a long day waiting at a airport .

Allegro Cozumel: Horrible

Rooms were too small no separate bathroom food was repetitive staff was ignorant and rude driven by tips and money for everything family resort but yet all the games were only allowed for adults i.e volleyball pool etc

Allegro Cozumel: Wouldn’t go back again!!!

Food was very repetitive small buffet three a la carte restaurant but they only let u book two and they r always full... staff were very rude unhelpful and wouldn’t speak English ...rooms were very very small second pool should have a bar close by .....bar opens at noon new Cozumel rule unless u offered tips ....very very driven by tips nothing would be done for you otherwise

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Barcelo Maya Caribe Beach

Probably the best all-inclusive vacation we've been on. The food was excellent, the resort/rooms were very well maintained. A lot of options for restaurants and pools. The beach had an area that was mostly sandy (hardly compacted) but was a little rocky in some areas to very rocky in others. We spent more time at pools (personal preference) and one of our six preferred the beach with no complaints. (Long drive from cancun airport).

Palma Real: Amazing resort

We loved it been there 21 times cuba is our favorite place we would love to go back the pool could use anit of work bedrooms r outdated but clean people r so nice and was pretty good location was great

Barcelo Solymar: February 2020

We were a group of 14 people visiting for 1 week at Barcelo Solymar. For my 50th birthday. Ages 9 to 65 years old. We all loved the resort. There was something for everyone. There maybe could have been more for the 9 year old. The grounds were beautiful. There was alot of painting going on, all the buildings seem to be getting a fresh coat. We discover [... read more]ed if you ran the water for a bit the hot water came on. After that the water was always hot. The main building is for party people. We were in bungalow 27. Far away from the party yet close enough that we could join the party when we wanted. The walk to Varedero was 10 minutes and that was fantastic for night life and daytime shopping. The beach was stunning and well kept. The food was excellent. I was happy to see salt and pepper on the tables. There was no peanutbutter or jam. We liked the Mexican al a carte and the seafood. The Italian left a little to be desired as the pasta was overcooked. We liked being able to enjoy both resorts for food and entertainment. We will definitely return but wonder if the prices will be higher in the future due to the renovations, it is going to be beautiful and look very 5 starfish. We did the premier jeep excursion. It was not jeeps but all wheel SUV style vehicles. A great day, a fantastic way to see Cuba and partake in snorkeling, swimming in the caverns, boating, Omar's farm and what seemed like a provincial park for lunch. We hired Eyewitness Cuba for a trip to Havanna, they where very knowledgeable and gave us a great day. They can be found on Facebook and TripAdvisor. We are planning to try to return for all the big birthday's in our group!

Barcelo Maya Riviera: First time to Cancun

Amazing room with ocean view...hot tub on balcony...champagne...comfortable bed and everything was brand new , the place was clean top to bottom , and the food and service was absolutely incredible Barcelo set the bar very high in terms of luxury and comfort...I’ Going again next winter

Barcelo Maya Riviera: YES!

Our 5th stay at BM - first at Riviera. A large modern facility that exceeded our expectations (considering it only opened approximately 6 weeks ago). A number of previous reviews are either referring to one of the older resorts or outdated i.e. there IS alcohol served before noon and there is free wi-fi including on the beach (but why worry about being on-line as you're supposed to be on VACATION). Rooms are spacious with California King Bed, very comfortable mattress and humongous pillows plu [... read more]s a Jacuzzi tub on the balcony (a little cramped and low power for the jets). Food was FANTASTIC – be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food selection is enormous – great for weight watchers as you can ‘watch’ your weight increase daily. Men remember trousers for dinner (I am a shorts person but nothing wrong with maintaining a high standard). Staff at all the restaurants were fantastic. What was noticeable is a lack of tipping. Come on guests …… a couple of bucks per meal is less than you pay for a coffee! Special mention: Giovanna & Benjamin at LaComedie and Alberto Lopez at Buffet Mirimar. Noticeable was a lack of Top Shelf liquor. Staff throughout the resort were exceptional and my sincere thanks to you all.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: A Wonderful Family Vacation

The Barceló Riveria Maya Colonel Resort was just beautiful. All the members of our family had wonderful, pool access, rooms. The staff were very attentive and the food provided at all the dining rooms were excellent. There was something for everyone.

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Best Ever!

The Barcelo Maya Riviera is the best all inclusive resort we have ever stayed at. The rooms, including the bathroom, are spacious and the hot tub on the balcony is spectacular. The ocean view couldn't be any better. The breakfast and lunch buffet selections and quality are second to none ever experienced. The food and selections in the a la carte restaurants were first class (the French and Japanese were our 1st picks; the Italian disappointed however). We never had a problem booking a reservati [... read more]on for a restaurant. The grounds, the pools, the swim up bars, all excellent. The beach was very clean. Ample beach and pool chairs. Most impressive is the staff, no matter the venue, all very friendly and accomodating. The perk of having access to use the other adjacent Barcelo resorts is great, particularly the additional range of other first class restaurants it offers.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Second visit, and not last for sure!

A lot of thing to do with the very active 5 years old boy. Hotel is big, but once you get familiar with the layout everything is very convenient to get to. Nice evening entertainment, restaurants selection, shopping area. Food is ok. Stayed in the building 5, nice clean room, patio with jacuzzi and ocean view. Kids club is free, spacious inside and outside playground. Kids water park, Pirate Ship park is extra fee though. Not all things were working this time. Staff is very helpful, we forg [... read more]ot kids tablet in the buffet, got it back from the guest service desk. Definitely will be back! I wish they have free wi-fi in the most public areas, not only in the Casino. We bought room wi-fi, was ok, but limited for one device. Another downside is NOT free room service, as all other hotels have.

Barcelo Maya Grand Resort: Amazing resorts

It was the best, there was so much food and the kids never got bored the best things were the beach there was a really good view. And the nature was so Beautiful it smelt so fresh. Your service was amazing we would love to come again sometime! Thank you

Palma Real: Great location and personnel

Being close to everything (local merchants, shops, night life, restaurants, casa del ron etc) this is one of the best locations in Varadero. Yes the hotel needs renovations, there was some rude and inconsiderate Russian guests, and the food is not that great but the personnel (e.g. Dailenys was so attentive and always happy to serve us) and location makes up for it. Very safe to walk the streets day or night.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Amazing Adult Only Resort

Visited this resort for a week Jan. 27, 2020 to Feb. 03, 2020. Had wife ,my brother and 4 sisters and there spouses party of 12. Great weather 7 days in the 28 deg range. Had 5 great Al a Carte dinners. No complaints as it met all of our expectations. 4.5 to 5 stars. Was nice to stay at a quiet resort but visit the Palace for the entertainment. Alexander in guest services was very helpful in making our trip the best it could be.

Allegro Cozumel: Great stay at Allegro

We really enjoyed our family trip January 25 - Feb 1, 2020. The resort is fantastic with great pools, beach and the ocean was very warm and swimable. The entertainment team of Juanini, Arbey and Cristian were fun and ran great shows at night for kids and adults alike. The shows were excellent. The food was slightly average at times, but overall very satisfactory. Wifi was not included which we missed when booking, so that was slightly disappointing, but liberating to not be on our phones al [... read more]l the time too. There was a good mix of families and couples and we met a number of return visitors. Would definitely consider a return trip!

Palma Real: Terrible resort

Overbooked , rooms lack everything from towels to toilet paper food is the worst I had in Cuba and I have been there a dozen times . I will NEVER go back to this Hotel . It is a very large complex with not enough staff to manage it getting a drink at any bar can take up to 20 mins

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Awesome time

The time we spent at Barcelo Maya Riviera was to recuperate and relax. The welcome in and reception was very pleasant and quick. A room change was effected quickly. The grounds a large and spacious, in fact the largest resort we have ever been at. The room was fantastic and very spacious. The breakfast and lunch buffet was outstanding. The food options were beyond our imagination in type and variety. The A la Cartes were of the highest standard and the service at the Riviera Maya was beyond repr [... read more]oach. The sommelier, Anna, is quite informative and approachable. However I feel she is not being employed in an effective manner. I suggest a “Dinner with Anna” be promoted. In any of the restaurants a meal for a select number of guests be formulated by the chef with Anna picking local wines to compliment it. She would explain the selections and pairings, which could lead to people trying wines from the list.

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Wonderful getaway!

Beautiful setting perfect distance away from busy Puerto Vallarta! Hotel staff amazing and always smiling and trying to do their best to make our stay great! Food really good. Steakhouse and pizza was the best I’ve ever had! Rooms huge and every room had ocean view. Pool and activities fantastic! Beach nice, waves challenging! Whales jumping, shows at night were great! All in all a great place to stay!
